Iberostar Tainos

Varadero, cuba moderate all inclusive.

With ‘just’ 272 rooms, the Iberostar Tainos is one of the smallest All Inclusive hotels in Varadero as well as being one of its more keenly priced properties.

Located directly on the beach and laid out in a low-rise design, the Iberostar Tainos is best suited to those who aren’t in need of fine dining, premium brands, spas, luxurious rooms and assorted other bells and whistles.

That is not to say that the hotel is lacking in facilities though. There are 4 bars, buffet and a la carte restaurants, a pool, tennis courts, gym, sauna, kids club and more.

Included in the price are all meals and snacks, all local and selected international drinks (not 24hrs), non-motorised watersports, various land-based activities, evening entertainment and the kids club.

The hotel’s 272 rooms are split between standard rooms in the main block and a number of bungalows. Although not luxurious, rooms are spacious and all have a terrace or balcony.

Amazing experience at Iberostar Tainos

We had the best experience at Lberostar Tainos!! The food was plentiful, the drinks where great, the entertainment was top notch and the staff were absolutely amazing!! They go above and beyond to make your experience amazing! We stayed in a bungalow and our room was perfect. Resort was very clean. Would absolutely recommend this resort to anyone visiting Varadero, Cuba!!

An average experience overall - 3 to 10 April 2024

We stayed at the Iberostar Tainos for 7 days (3 April to 10 April 2024). Location: Very close to the beach, as it is a small resort and not far from the airport. Staff: From the front desk to the concierge, they were all friendly, polite, and aiming to help. Room: (Rating 1/5) Our room was #2211, located a 1-minute walk from the lobby. At first glance, the room looked nice, but upon closer inspection, it showed a lot of wear and tear, with numerous issues including dirty pillows. It has a safe (fee of $2.5 US per day), 1 TV, and an AC. All amenities are included (shampoo, etc.). Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel, but the place with the best reception was the lobby. You receive 2 glass bottles of water which are refilled daily (no plastic bottles). Pros: 1-Quiet room. 2-Very close to the main pool and a 2-3 minute walk to the beach. Cons (issues and others): 1-Ventilation ceiling damaged (see pic). 2-The shower showed signs of old age, with some damage and was dirty (see pic). 3-Bed sheets were dirty; even a pillow had a blood stain on it (see pic). 4-One of the mattresses had visible damage (see pic). 5-The beds were uncomfortable and made sounds when you moved. 6-One of the lamps could be detached (see pics). 7-All the walls had some kind of damage or were dirty. 8-Balcony door has a screw as a lock (see pic). Housekeeping: Great service - there was always some towel art every day. Breakfast / Lunch / Supper: For breakfast, there was a buffet and live cooking stations (e.g., omelets). For lunch/supper, there was also a buffet with many live cooking stations, usually offering pork, fish, and pasta. The buffet overall was decent, and we dined twice at the À La Carte Restaurants. À La Carte Restaurants (2 in total) - Reservation is required: 1-Cuban - we were offered a cocktail. For starters, we had a soup (2.5/5), and we had a choice between spiny lobster, pork, or fish. We chose the spiny lobster (langouste) (3/5). The dessert was mediocre. The service was 3* (with 1 waitress attending the tables). Overall, a 3* experience. 2-Japanese (Live show) - we had chicken soup (1/5 - terrible), 2 vegetable sushi (2/5), fried rice with a choice of pork, fish, and/or spiny lobster (langouste). We chose pork and the spiny lobster (4/5 - very good for both), and for dessert, an ice cream flambé (4/5). The service was 4*. Overall, a 4* experience. Snack: The snack bar is located near the main pool. It was okay for burgers (one day there was a shortage of bread); there are some other items to choose from like pasta, salads, etc. Bars: There are 4 bars. The ones we tried were the Lobby bar, the bar next to the pool, the bar near the beach (George was usually the main person making drinks - very friendly), and the theater bar (which we didn't try). 75% of the drinks were mostly watered down and poor. The best drinks were at the Lobby bar, while the beer was refreshing at the beach bar. Activities on site: There are a lot of free activities to do: volleyball, chess near the beach, some nightly entertainment, etc. There is also a spa and a gym, but we did not use them. Pool: There is one main pool with kids' pools next to it. It was decent. Beach: Great, with beautiful white sand and crystal-clear water. The sand was mostly clean, with some debris thrown in from the sea (e.g., a shoe). Overall Grade: The hotel is worth a maximum of 3* due to room cleanliness, issues, and age. The food, in general, was average. The beach was great, and the staff were friendly and always smiling. Sadly, we will never come back to this resort.

Una aventura en la naturaleza y los campos cubanos, descubriendo elementos de su paisajística y los entornos del Parque Natural Río Canímar.

La excursión incluye: Recogida en los hoteles en transporte climatizado hasta el punto para abordar los jeeps. Servicio de guía. Snorkelling en Punta Maya (área protegida).

Paseo en lancha por el Río Canímar. Visita y tiempo de estancia en la Finca La Dionisia para observación y recorrido por las Ruinas de un Cafetal estilo francés de principios del siglo XIX, almuerzo con un líquido (no alcohólico) monta de caballo, tiempo para descanso. Traslado de ida y retorno hotel-marina. Recibimiento en el centro, chequeo de documentos (certificación y Log Book), entrega de equipos y ensamble, con asistencia de un instructor. A bordo de la embarcación introducción y explicación del programa de

buceo del día e inicio de la travesía. El punto de buceo más lejano se encuentra a 45 minutos.

El Centro  cuenta con los siguientes servicios en un programa dividido por días de la semana:

Lunes. Cangilones del Mono arrecife de coral en 27-30 metros el 1er buceo, el 2do buceo Caribe un barco hundido sobre un arrecife.

Martes. Buceo Barco hundido  de 90 metros de eslora en 27-30 de profundidad metros sobre fondo de arena y 2do buceo en Cayo Piedra arrecife de coral de 4 -13 metros de profundidad.

Miércoles. Sletrea restos de la ciudadela de un tanquero de petróleo hundido cerca de un arrecife a 30 metros de profundidad y el 2do Neptuno barco alemán hundido sobre un arrecife de coral a 8-10 metros de profundidad.

Jueves. Jocú arrecife con cangilones a 30 metros de profundidad y a    millas del centro de buceo y el 2do es Barriga del Sletrea restos hundidos a 16 metros de profundidad, de la barriga del tanquero petrolero entre arrecifes de coral con cangilones.

Viernes Claraboyas arrecifes coralinos con varios túneles, oquedades, cangilones y gran cantidad de coloridos peces, su profundidad va desde 13 metros hasta los 21 metros y 2do Remolcador hundido junto a varios medios militares como jeeps, tanques, en fondo de arena a 18 metros de profundidad.

Sábado. Se repite el programa del martes.

Domingo. Neptuno y Caribe.

buceo del día. Inicio de la travesía, el punto de buceo más lejano está a 30 minutos del lugar de salida. El primer buceo se realiza en un barco hundido (Barriga), a una profundidad de 18 metros, en este lugar, se puede observar más de 50 especies de peces

tropicales, variedades de caracoles y más de 11 diferentes tipos de corales. Una vez terminado este buceo, se le da un intervalo en superficie de 50 minutos y se realiza un segundo buceo en el barco hundido (Caribe), en este lugar se puede observar más de 54 especies de peces tropicales, variedades de esponjas, caracoles y más de 10 especies de corales. Una vez terminado esta inmersión, los clientes se trasladan en la embarcación hacia Cayo Blanco para almorzar (mesa bufet con ofertas de mariscos) y disfrutar de tiempo de playa, a continuación navegan hasta el delfinario para interacción con delfines.
