T-Ball Ballplayers ages 4-6 learn hitting and fielding fundamentals in a supportive team environment. Young athletes hit the ball from a batting tee which is height-adjusted for a level swing, batting in order through the line-up for the entire game. The primary goal is to begin to instruct young players in the fundamentals of baseball in a supportive team environment.
Rookie Designed primarily for ballplayers ages 7-8, this division makes use of a pitching machine to allow for more hittable balls at the plate and more action in the field. Fear of being hit by a pitched ball is diminished. It makes the game safer and improves the playing confidence and ability of all participants.
Minor Division Recommended for ballplayers ages 9-10. Players build and refine their fundamental skills while beginning to understand game strategy and teamwork.
Major Division The most experienced level of Cal Ripken Baseball, recommended for 11- and 12-year-old players. Cal Ripken Baseball is played under the Official Baseball Rules but implements some special rules as necessary for the development and welfare of this young age group.
Babe Ruth 60/90 Division (Travel)
Cal Ripken ballplayers may advance to Babe Ruth 60/90 field at the ages of 13-15. This is the same sized field they will play on for as long as they play the game.

Our Mission
Frazier Baseball's mission is to teach children the fundamentals of baseball in a fun and engaging setting. Founder Charlie Frazier has a passion for baseball that becomes contagious to those that have been coached by them. Whether your child is looking to get a jump start on an upcoming season, or looking to fine tune something in-season; Frazier Baseball will help. Frazier Baseball's proven instruction style and ability to simplify the game for players, have made them a favorite of players they've worked with.
1998 Little League World Series
In 1998 at the age of 12 and measuring a mere 5'2" and 104 pounds, Todd was on the Toms River East American Little League All-Star team that won the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania . Dubbed the "Beasts of the East" for their skill, power and lucky charm stuffed gorilla, the team went undefeated in the tournament.
To celebrate their world championship, the Toms River team was invited by the New York Yankees to Yankee Stadium on September 1, 1998 as the Yankees faced the Oakland Athletics , and each Toms River player was introduced publicly to the crowd and invited to stand next to his Yankee position counterpart during the national anthem, which meant Frazier, as shortstop, was standing next to New Jersey-born Derek Jeter . Fittingly, when he made it to the majors, Frazier would not only play against Jeter in the 2014 All-Star Game —Frazier's first and Jeter's last—but just days later would also help the Reds honor the Yankee captain's final year in baseball in a special pre-game tribute.

The Frazier Family Honored
Little League to honor Todd Frazier's parents at world series - Article from Pennlive.com
SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT – It is a week of awards for Todd Frazier and his family.
The Cincinnati Reds third baseman Monday won the major league home run derby and then Tuesday played in the annual All-Star game.
It was revealed Wednesday his parents, Charlie and Joan Frazier, have been named Little League Parents of the Year and will be honored at this year's world series in August.
Their hard work, patience and guidance with their three sons are three of the many reasons Little League says they were selected to receive the award named for former President George Bush and his wife, Barbara.
"The Fraziers level, steady and grounded approach to the successes and failures of their children over time has prepared each to excel both on and off the field," Little League spokesman Brian McClintock said.
Frazier, a former high school basketball coach, credits his wife with teaching him the value of positive reinforcement. "A good hug goes a long way," he told Little League.
He noted his three sons were very interested in Little League from an early age. All were drafted by major league teams.
Todd Frazier, 29, first made headlines in the 1998 when he led Toms River, N.J., to the Little League World Series championship.
In his team's five games, Frazier went 9 to 15 with four home runs including a grand slam, drove in 10 and scored 11. In the championship game he went 4 for 4, led off the contest with a home run and was the winning pitcher.
Charles Frazier Jr., 34, who pitched to his brother during the home run hitting contest, was drafted by the Florida Marlins in 1999 and played five seasons of professional ball reaching the Double A level.
Charlie now operate Frazier Baseball, a Toms River business that teaches young children the fundamentals of baseball.

Get ready for the South Jersey high school baseball tournament
The final pitch of the South Jersey high school baseball season is quickly approaching and that can only mean one thing – it’s playoff time.
With a fair share of parity on the diamond this year, the race for sectional crowns across the six South Jersey scholastic groups is mostly wide open. It’s time to see which teams are ready to rise to the occasion.
The public schools postseason opens May 23, with second-round games slated to start May 29, semifinals beginning on May 31 and sectional finals planned for June 3.
The non-public brackets open play May 22, with second-round action May 28, the semifinals on May 30 and sectional championships on June 1.
Let’s take a look at how the tournament field shapes up:
South Jersey Group 4
Bracket: (16) Atlantic Tech at (1) Rancocas Valley; (9) Washington Township at (8) Toms River East; (12) Pennsauken at (5) Eastern; (13) Cherry Hill East at (4) Cherokee; (14) Toms River North at (3) Southern Regional; (11) Vineland at (6) Lenape; (10) Gloucester Tech at (7) Egg Harbor Township; (15) Millville at (2) Kingsway.
Defending champion: Eastern.
Favorite: Cherokee . This group features plenty of possibilities, but Cherokee (15-8) enters the postseason on a five-game winning streak with one of those victories coming May 16 against top-seeded Rancocas Valley. Junior Henry Radbill shut down the Red Devils in that 2-0 win and carries a 1.19 ERA and 54 strikeouts in 35 1/3 innings into the playoffs.
Contenders: Rancocas Valley , of course, enters the tournament as the top seed for a reason. The Red Devils (17-8) have won four of five, scoring an average of 12.5 runs in those games. Second-seeded Kingsway (18-7) has struggled down the stretch, losing four of its last six games, but could have a favorable road to the final. Sixth-seeded Lenape (13-10) and seventh-seeded Egg Harbor Township (17-8) are two intriguing squads that could stand in Kingsway’s way in the bottom half of the bracket, however. And third-seeded Southern (18-4) enters as hot as any team having won nine of 10.
Best first-round matchup: Defending champion Eastern (19-6), the fifth seed, is 3-4 in its last seven games and gets an interesting showing with No. 12 Pennsauken , which finished the regular season 12-7. The Indians are coming off nice wins against Washington Township and Burlington Township. Eastern has the advantage but shouldn’t overlook Pennsauken.
South Jersey final prediction: Cherokee over Kingsway.
South Jersey Group 3
Bracket: (16) Lacey at (1) Cherry Hill West; (9) Absegami at (8) Moorestown; (12) Cumberland at (5) Ocean City; (13) Toms River South at (4) Delsea; (14) Deptford at (3) Mainland; (11) Highland at (6) Clearview; (10) Timber Creek at (7) Shawnee; (15) Triton at (2) Hammonton.
Defending champion: Mainland.
Favorite: Cherry Hill West . Fresh off its first Diamond Classic title since 1989, the Lions should be considered the front here despite a 2-1 loss to Seneca on May 17. West (22-4) had won eight in a row prior to that setback and are built to claim a sectional crown. Junior Grant Fournier enters the playoffs with a .451 batting average and 26 RBIs. Senior Ryan Garino leads the pitching staff with 71 strikeouts in 41 2/3 innings and a 0.50 ERA.
Contenders: We could be poised to see a Diamond Classic championship rematch in the semifinals assuming fourth-seeded Delsea (22-3) handles business in the early going, though fifth-seeded Ocean City (17-7) could be a factor in the top half of the bracket as well. Third-seeded and defending sectional champion Mainland (19-5) will pose a big threat in this bracket. The Mustangs are fresh off a Cape-Atlantic League Tournament title over St. Augustine.
Best first-round matchup: It would take quite a run for either Shawnee (14-9) or Timber Creek (11-11) to capture the crown, but it’s a fun opening-round showdown nonetheless. The teams haven’t met since 2019. Shawnee enters the matchups winners of six of its last seven games, while Timber Creek is on a six-game winning streak.
South Jersey final prediction: Cherry Hill West over Mainland.
South Jersey Group 2
Bracket: (16) Manchester Township at (1) Seneca; (9) Sterling at (8) Oakcrest; (12) Middle Township at (5) Lower Cape May; (13) Medford Tech at (4) Cedar Creek; (14) Pleasantville at (3) Cinnaminson; (11) Overbrook at (6) Collingswood; (10) West Deptford at (7) Haddonfield; (15) Barnegat at (2) Haddon Heights.
Defending champion: Seneca.
Favorite: Seneca . The Golden Eagles (14-10) have a strong chance to repeat as sectional champions here. It’s somewhat rare to see a top seed with double-digit losses, but Seneca is battle-tested, which should help them in the playoffs. A 2-1 win over Diamond Classic champion Cherry Hill West on May 17 certainly won’t hurt the team’s confidence going forward. Seneca looks to have rebound from a late-April dip, winning seven of its last eight games to close the regular season.
Contenders: Let’s start with second-seeded Haddon Heights (16-6), which has won nine of 10 and is one of the hotter teams in South Jersey. Senior pitchers Drew Harris (1.36 ERA) and Drew Costello (2.50 ERA) will play a big role for the Garnets. Group 2 features some true parity after that. Fifth-seeded Lower Cape May (13-11) has been a great story, winning seven of its last eight, while Cedar Creek (15-9), Cinnaminson (13-8) and Collingswood (14-9) all enter the tournament capable, but struggling of late.
Best first-round matchup: Nothing like a nice divisional rivalry to kick things off in the postseason, which is what we get when Colonial Conference Liberty foes Haddonfield (12-8) and West Deptford (10-13) meet in the first round. Haddonfield won both head-to-head meetings this season, the latest coming in a 7-1 result on May 15. The first game was much tighter with the Bulldawgs winning 3-2 on April.
South Jersey final prediction: Seneca over Haddon Heights.
South Jersey Group 1
Bracket: (16) Camden Academy Charter at (1) Audubon; (9) Buena at (8) Haddon Township; (12) Maple Shade at (5) Woodstown; (13) Gateway at (4) Pennsville; (14) Glassboro at (3) Pitman; (11) Paulsboro at (6) Schalick; (10) Cape May Tech at (7) Wildwood; (15) Penns Grove at (2) Gloucester.
Defending champion: Buena.
Favorite: Audubon . It looks like the top-seeded Green Wave (17-8) are a clear cut above the rest here, owning nearly 50 more power points than any other team in the group. Audubon, of course, still has to complete the job. Junior shortstop Tyler Wiltsey had an impressive regular season, hitting .400 and amassing a team-high 30 hits, 14 of which went for extra-bases.
Contenders: Second-seeded Gloucester (17-6) has put together a nice season, winning eight of its last nine. The Lions’ lone loss in that span came 9-4 to Audubon, however. Third-seeded Pitman (17-6) is a team to keep an eye on. The Panthers have won six of seven, allowing fewer than two runs on average in those contests. Fourth-seeded Pennsville (15-9) is a potential dark horse, but has alternated wins and losses in its last 10 contests.
Best first-round matchup: If Pitman has designs on making a run in the sectional tournament, it’ll have to get past a pesky opponent in neighboring rival and No. 14 seed Glassboro (7-13). It was very early in the season, but Glassboro managed a 3-2 win over the Panthers, which at the very least will be back of Pitman’s mind when the teams meet in the tournament opener.
South Jersey final prediction: Audubon over Gloucester
South Non-Public A
Bracket: (1) Red Bank Catholic, bye; (9) Pingry at (8) Paul VI; (12) St. John Vianney at (5) Immaculata; (4) Notre Dame, bye; (3) Christian Brothers Academy, bye; (11) St. Joseph (Metuchen) at (6) Donovan Catholic; (10) Camden Catholic at (7) Union Catholic; (2) St. Augustine, bye.
Defending champion: Red Bank Catholic.
Favorite: Christian Brothers Academy . The third-seeded Colts (16-5) get the nod here as they’re fresh off a 5-4 win over top-seeded Red Bank Catholic in the Shore Conference Tournament semifinals. CBA has a promising arm in Danny DiTullio. The sophomore owns 1.05 ERA and has registered 55 strikeouts in 40 innings.
Contenders: The top three teams in this field are all capable of taking the group, including the aforementioned No. 1 see in Red Bank Catholic (16-8). Second-seeded St. Augustine (15-8) will have to overcome a recent rough stretch to get it done. The Hermits have lost five of eight but will benefit from home field advantage for a good portion of the travel-intensive bracket.
South Jersey final prediction: Christian Brothers Academy over Red Bank Catholic.
South Non-Public B
Bracket: (1) Gloucester Catholic, bye; (9) St. Joseph Academy at (8) Princeton Day; (5) Ranney, bye; (4) St. Rose, bye; (3) Doane Academy, bye; (6) Holy Cross, bye; (7) Holy Spirit, bye; (2) Bishop Eustace, bye.
Defending champion: Gloucester Catholic.
Favorite: Gloucester Catholic . It would be hard to bet against the Rams (22-1) in this field and Gloucester Catholic will surely enter the playoffs the rightful favorite. The Rams have won three in a row since falling in the Diamond Classic semis to Cherry Hill West and have added state power Delbarton as a postseason tune-up.
Contenders: South Jersey baseball fans will be watching second-seeded Bishop Eustace (18-6) as the Crusaders could be destined for a date with Gloucester Catholic in the sectional final. Eustace has won seven of its last eight and a meeting between the local rivals would make for an intriguing title game. The winner of fifth-seeded Ranney (14-7) and fourth-seeded St. Rose (17-8) would be a threat, though they’d have to upset Gloucester Catholic to make run.
South Jersey final prediction: Gloucester Catholic over Bishop Eustace.

Toms River South's Ken Frank leaves coaching legacy that changed Shore Conference baseball
To reach the rarified air at the summit of Shore Conference coaching requires a long climb that leaves an indelible mark on high school athletics at the Jersey Shore, and beyond.
Like the late Warren Wolf, whose Brick teams won 361 games, secured 25 divisional crowns and 13 sectional titles, while putting Ocean County football on the map. And Shore Regional coach Nancy Williams, who won 839 field hockey games, 563 softball games and more than 2,000 wins across all sports, while ensuring Title IX was a reality in New Jersey. And the late Vic Kubu, who won 263 football games between Middletown North and Manasquan, where the Big Blue went unbeaten six times, won 10 sectional titles, including five straight.
Toms River South’s Ken Frank was already a legend, but officially took his place among this elite fraternity when the 77-year-old announced his retirement after 46 years as the program’s leader Thursday night.
More: Ken Frank retires as Toms River South head baseball coach, marking the end of an era
It’s a career that includes a state-record 934 wins, a Shore-record five NJSIAA Group championships, seven Shore Conference Tournament titles, a record 12 Ocean County titles, and 22 divisional crowns. And, like the others, countless lives impacted.
As a player and then a top assistant coach under Frank for 31 seasons, Mitch Powitz had a front-row season to a Shore dynasty, announcing his retirement along with Frank after a season-ending loss to Delsea.
“You’re at the top of the game. It’s tremendous,” said Powitz. “If it’s college basketball, its Dean Smith. College football it’s Nick Saban, modern NFL it would be Bill Belichick. You’re right there in the foxhole with him, and you’re making sure everything is on path and the trains are running on time.”
Anyone, anytime
When Wolf got the Brick job in 1958, he set about scheduling the top teams in New Jersey, including the likes of Phillipsburg and Montclair, in the quest to build the program into a state power. That was the same philosophy Frank took at Toms River South, seeking to make waves beyond the Shore.
“I picked up Elizabeth, Edison. We played the best teams because I wanted to prove to these kids they could play with anybody, and it worked,” Frank said. “They bought into it and we could compete with anybody and then we started going South and could compete with anybody, and that was the belief.
“We put Ocean County baseball on the map back then because everybody was just playing locally. I said, ‘I’m going to play these teams.’ Then people are like, ‘hey, you just beat Elizabeth.’ We can play. And then the kids start believing it. It’s been that way for 45 years. We took them to Florida and played in the national tournament.”
And it all came together in 1990 when they beat Pascack Hills to win the NJSIAA Group 3 championship, the school’s first state title.
“Probably the greatest moment was 1990, we went up to Princeton and the first state title,” Frank said. “That was all the hard work of playing the best teams and everything else. That was one of five state championship which I’m very proud of. That’s one of the highest. That’s how hard they are to win.”
Lasting bond
For more than three decades, Frank's done it with Powitz by his side, joining the staff in 1994.
“He’s like a son to me,” Frank said. “We talk almost every day in the spring between the weather, the pitching rules, the lineup. Mitch is so loyal, a great assistant coach, a great assistant head coach and he would have been a great coach somewhere, but we stuck together. We enjoyed coaching together. We got that bond and it’s great. Our families get along well and he deserves an awful lot of credit for keeping me going the last few years.”
“We always say jokingly that coach has four daughters, I have three daughters, so these guys are like sons to us,” Powitz said. “You build those relationship so, it’s cool. And we’ve done it together over the past 31 years. It’s been great.
Frank indicated his departure was in part tied to a serious car accident he was involved in last October. But both Frank and Powitz admit that the changing landscape of high school athletics played a role in the decision to step away.
“We kept it in perspective, we played hard and I was tough but fair. But I see a little difference the last couple of years with the increase in parent involvement,” Frank said.
“Even though you think they relate to you and you can relate, society is different and kids are raised different and the emphasis is on different things,” said Powitz.
Now it’s time for Toms River South baseball to head in a new direction, with a foundation for what’s possible already in place thanks to Frank, whose impact on the game, as well as countless lives locally, are part of a coaching legacy that places him among the Shore Conference’s greatest ever.

Gagarin cup (khl) finals: atlant moscow oblast vs. salavat yulaev ufa.
Much like the Elitserien Finals, we have a bit of an offense vs. defense match-up in this league Final. While Ufa let their star top line of Alexander Radulov, Patrick Thoresen and Igor Grigorenko loose on the KHL's Western Conference, Mytischi played a more conservative style, relying on veterans such as former NHLers Jan Bulis, Oleg Petrov, and Jaroslav Obsut. Just reaching the Finals is a testament to Atlant's disciplined style of play, as they had to knock off much more high profile teams from Yaroslavl and St. Petersburg to do so. But while they did finish 8th in the league in points, they haven't seen the likes of Ufa, who finished 2nd.
This series will be a challenge for the underdog, because unlike some of the other KHL teams, Ufa's top players are generally younger and in their prime. Only Proshkin amongst regular blueliners is over 30, with the work being shared by Kirill Koltsov (28), Andrei Kuteikin (26), Miroslav Blatak (28), Maxim Kondratiev (28) and Dmitri Kalinin (30). Oleg Tverdovsky hasn't played a lot in the playoffs to date. Up front, while led by a fairly young top line (24-27), Ufa does have a lot of veterans in support roles: Vyacheslav Kozlov , Viktor Kozlov , Vladimir Antipov, Sergei Zinovyev and Petr Schastlivy are all over 30. In fact, the names of all their forwards are familiar to international and NHL fans: Robert Nilsson , Alexander Svitov, Oleg Saprykin and Jakub Klepis round out the group, all former NHL players.
For Atlant, their veteran roster, with only one of their top six D under the age of 30 (and no top forwards under 30, either), this might be their one shot at a championship. The team has never won either a Russian Superleague title or the Gagarin Cup, and for players like former NHLer Oleg Petrov, this is probably the last shot at the KHL's top prize. The team got three extra days rest by winning their Conference Final in six games, and they probably needed to use it. Atlant does have younger regulars on their roster, but they generally only play a few shifts per game, if that.
The low event style of game for Atlant probably suits them well, but I don't know how they can manage to keep up against Ufa's speed, skill, and depth. There is no advantage to be seen in goal, with Erik Ersberg and Konstantin Barulin posting almost identical numbers, and even in terms of recent playoff experience Ufa has them beat. Luckily for Atlant, Ufa isn't that far away from the Moscow region, so travel shouldn't play a major role.
I'm predicting that Ufa, winners of the last Superleague title back in 2008, will become the second team to win the Gagarin Cup, and will prevail in five games. They have a seriously well built team that would honestly compete in the NHL. They represent the potential of the league, while Atlant represents closer to the reality, as a team full of players who played themselves out of the NHL.
- Atlant @ Ufa, Friday Apr 8 (3:00 PM CET/10:00 PM EST)
- Atlant @ Ufa, Sunday Apr 10 (1:00 PM CET/8:00 AM EST)
- Ufa @ Atlant, Tuesday Apr 12 (5:30 PM CET/12:30 PM EST)
- Ufa @ Atlant, Thursday Apr 14 (5:30 PM CET/12:30 PM EST)
Games 5-7 are as yet unscheduled, but every second day is the KHL standard, so expect Game 5 to be on Saturday, like an early start.

Savvino-storozhevsky monastery and museum.
Zvenigorod's most famous sight is the Savvino-Storozhevsky Monastery, which was founded in 1398 by the monk Savva from the Troitse-Sergieva Lavra, at the invitation and with the support of Prince Yury Dmitrievich of Zvenigorod. Savva was later canonised as St Sabbas (Savva) of Storozhev. The monastery late flourished under the reign of Tsar Alexis, who chose the monastery as his family church and often went on pilgrimage there and made lots of donations to it. Most of the monastery’s buildings date from this time. The monastery is heavily fortified with thick walls and six towers, the most impressive of which is the Krasny Tower which also serves as the eastern entrance. The monastery was closed in 1918 and only reopened in 1995. In 1998 Patriarch Alexius II took part in a service to return the relics of St Sabbas to the monastery. Today the monastery has the status of a stauropegic monastery, which is second in status to a lavra. In addition to being a working monastery, it also holds the Zvenigorod Historical, Architectural and Art Museum.
Belfry and Neighbouring Churches
Located near the main entrance is the monastery's belfry which is perhaps the calling card of the monastery due to its uniqueness. It was built in the 1650s and the St Sergius of Radonezh’s Church was opened on the middle tier in the mid-17th century, although it was originally dedicated to the Trinity. The belfry's 35-tonne Great Bladgovestny Bell fell in 1941 and was only restored and returned in 2003. Attached to the belfry is a large refectory and the Transfiguration Church, both of which were built on the orders of Tsar Alexis in the 1650s.
To the left of the belfry is another, smaller, refectory which is attached to the Trinity Gate-Church, which was also constructed in the 1650s on the orders of Tsar Alexis who made it his own family church. The church is elaborately decorated with colourful trims and underneath the archway is a beautiful 19th century fresco.
Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral
The Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral is the oldest building in the monastery and among the oldest buildings in the Moscow Region. It was built between 1404 and 1405 during the lifetime of St Sabbas and using the funds of Prince Yury of Zvenigorod. The white-stone cathedral is a standard four-pillar design with a single golden dome. After the death of St Sabbas he was interred in the cathedral and a new altar dedicated to him was added.
Under the reign of Tsar Alexis the cathedral was decorated with frescoes by Stepan Ryazanets, some of which remain today. Tsar Alexis also presented the cathedral with a five-tier iconostasis, the top row of icons have been preserved.
Tsaritsa's Chambers
The Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral is located between the Tsaritsa's Chambers of the left and the Palace of Tsar Alexis on the right. The Tsaritsa's Chambers were built in the mid-17th century for the wife of Tsar Alexey - Tsaritsa Maria Ilinichna Miloskavskaya. The design of the building is influenced by the ancient Russian architectural style. Is prettier than the Tsar's chambers opposite, being red in colour with elaborately decorated window frames and entrance.
At present the Tsaritsa's Chambers houses the Zvenigorod Historical, Architectural and Art Museum. Among its displays is an accurate recreation of the interior of a noble lady's chambers including furniture, decorations and a decorated tiled oven, and an exhibition on the history of Zvenigorod and the monastery.
Palace of Tsar Alexis
The Palace of Tsar Alexis was built in the 1650s and is now one of the best surviving examples of non-religious architecture of that era. It was built especially for Tsar Alexis who often visited the monastery on religious pilgrimages. Its most striking feature is its pretty row of nine chimney spouts which resemble towers.

The Unique Burial of a Child of Early Scythian Time at the Cemetery of Saryg-Bulun (Tuva)
<< Previous page
Pages: 379-406
In 1988, the Tuvan Archaeological Expedition (led by M. E. Kilunovskaya and V. A. Semenov) discovered a unique burial of the early Iron Age at Saryg-Bulun in Central Tuva. There are two burial mounds of the Aldy-Bel culture dated by 7th century BC. Within the barrows, which adjoined one another, forming a figure-of-eight, there were discovered 7 burials, from which a representative collection of artifacts was recovered. Burial 5 was the most unique, it was found in a coffin made of a larch trunk, with a tightly closed lid. Due to the preservative properties of larch and lack of air access, the coffin contained a well-preserved mummy of a child with an accompanying set of grave goods. The interred individual retained the skin on his face and had a leather headdress painted with red pigment and a coat, sewn from jerboa fur. The coat was belted with a leather belt with bronze ornaments and buckles. Besides that, a leather quiver with arrows with the shafts decorated with painted ornaments, fully preserved battle pick and a bow were buried in the coffin. Unexpectedly, the full-genomic analysis, showed that the individual was female. This fact opens a new aspect in the study of the social history of the Scythian society and perhaps brings us back to the myth of the Amazons, discussed by Herodotus. Of course, this discovery is unique in its preservation for the Scythian culture of Tuva and requires careful study and conservation.
