The #1 Bestseller! Twelve-year-old Danny Walker may be the smallest kid on the basketball court – but don’t tell him that. Because no one plays with more heart or court sense. But none of that matters when he is cut from his local travel team, the very same team his father led to national prominence as a boy. Danny’s father, still smarting from his own troubles, knows Danny isn’t the only kid who was cut for the wrong reason, and together, this washed-up former player and a bunch of never-say-die kids prove that the heart simply cannot be measured. For fans of The Bad News Bears, Hoosiers, the Mighty Ducks, and Mike Lupica’s other New York Times bestselling novels Heat, The Underdogs, and Million-Dollar Throw, here is a book that proves that when the game knocks you down, champions stand tall.

Travel Team begins with Danny Walker , a 12-year-old who is short for his age. Danny has just failed to make the Middletown Vikings, the seventh-grade travel basketball team and an activity made popular by his former professional basketball player father, Richie Walker . Richie played for the Golden State Warriors before a car accident ended his career. As Danny practices in his driveway after receiving the bad news, Richie appears. Their relationship is strained; Richie typically lives in Las Vegas, having left Danny’s mother, Ali. Danny tells him that he didn’t make the team because Mr. Ross , the president of the bank and the president of Middletown Basketball, had told the evaluators during tryouts that he wanted a tall team that year. Ali tells him later that night that Richie may stick around for a while.

The next day at school, everyone knows that Danny didn’t make the team. His best friend Will tries to cheer him up. Danny considers not doing basketball that year, but his mom tells him he must. His friend Tess likewise encourages him to stick with it, even if it’s just to spite the dads who underestimated him. Danny plays in a pick-up game with Mr. Ross’s son Ty, and the two talented players mesh well together. Richie watches from afar, giving Mr. Ross a hard time. The two had played on the travel team together when they were young, and Richie believes that Ross still holds a grudge that Richie became famous and he didn’t.

A few days later, Richie announces that he’s starting his own travel team, eventually called The Warriors. He admits many of the boys who didn’t make Ross’s team. He emphasizes that it’s important that they have fun while playing. Danny is skeptical of the team at first, not believing that they’ll be any good. Eventually, Richie invites Colby Danes, a seventh-grade girl, to join them. The boys dislike it but soon see how good Colby is.

The Warriors lose the first two games of the season. At the next practice, Richie shows up hungover. Ali admonishes him, and Richie adjusts his behavior. During the next game, Danny has the chance to score the winning point, but he misses feels bad for disappointing his team. They lose another game, but the team is getting better and getting along. When they go out to celebrate, Richie doesn’t show up because he is in a car accident. While Richie survives, he’s out for the rest of the season. He emphasizes that he hadn’t been drinking. Richie later confides that, while no one knew, he had been drinking when he had his first accident, and he and the police officer who found him covered it up. However, he has decided to stop feeling sorry for himself.

Richie suggests that Danny coach the team since he’s out for the season. Ali is skeptical at first but then gets on board. Tess also joins the team as its manager. Mr. Ross briefly tries to lure Danny away from the team by offering him a spot on the Vikings but Danny refuses. They win their next game, and Danny begins to realize how Mr. Ross and some of the other coaches don’t seem to value their players as much as they value winning.

The Warriors are slated to play the Vikings, and Danny has several players over to strategize. Tess kisses him on the cheek. Mr. Ross’s son joins the Warriors for the first playoff game, which pits the Warriors against the Vikings. Richie comes from the hospital to watch the game. Once Mr. Ross sees his son on the court, he decides to stop coaching and joins Richie in the stands. The game is close, but the Warriors score in the last few seconds to win, and Danny is lifted on his teammates’ shoulders.

Why travel to Moscow

Contrasts: 12th century monasteries and some of the tallest skyscrapers in Europe can be found side-by-side in this complex and captivating city. The diversity of this mega-city is astounding. Only a few steps away from the solemn red facade of the Kremlin and the sounds of righteous church bells, a buzzing night scene and alternative-fashion boutiques can be found.

Culture: In Moscow only the best goes. Be it a theatre, restaurant or gallery, the standards are certain to be world-class. The Bolshoi ballet company is reputed to be even better than the Mariinsky’s and “MMOMA” (Moscow’s museum of modern art) exhibits works of art as profound as any that could be found in the famed MOMA.

Convenience: Unlike the rest of Russia, it’s easy enough to get by with just English in Moscow and, driving excepted, it is surprisingly safe: the murder rate is lower than in some of America’s major cities.

Why visit Moscow

It would take more than two days to walk around the perimeter of the biggest city in Europe, Moscow. Many of its inhabitants barely know what’s beyond the few blocks around their flat and there are so many attractions that it’s almost impossible to know where to start. If there is such a thing as an antidote to boredom, Moscow City is it. The mind-boggling range and diversity of things to do, places to eat, parks, historical monuments and more means that a vacation in Moscow has a wealth of activities to offer for every type of traveler, from young families to retirees.

Reasons to Vacation in Moscow in 2022

The Bolshoi theatre is familiar to almost everyone as Russia’s grandest theatre, but what people don’t know is that there are many more bolshoi (big) sites in Moscow that are worth travelling all the way to Moscow to see. For more than 100 years, the world’s biggest bell has been hidden behind the Kremlin’s walls and inside Moscow’s main park (which is bigger than some countries!) there is the world’s largest outdoor ice-rink. Travelers that visit Moscow can stay at the Izmailovo, Europe’s biggest hotel, then eat at the largest and most historic McDonald’s in Europe and after that have fun at the largest European indoor theme park!

Ancient Past & Stunning Architecture:

As those who travel to Moscow will see, just because Moscow is a city of record-breaking, glitzy high-rises doesn’t mean that there is no history. On the famous Arbat street, time-worn, wooden storehouses and century-old churches are squashed up against grey, soviet blocks which are then towered over by 21st century office-blocks. Unlike its much younger sibling, St Petersburg, Moscow’s roots stretch way back to the 12th century. Within the walls of the Kremlin, the city’s oldest building the Cathedral of Assumption can be admired in all its 500+ years of age.

Culture & Convenience

For a foreigner who has never visited Russia, Moscow is the perfect stepping stone into this great land of mystery. From the country’s best classical ballet troupes to snow-white troikas trotting through the parks, all the highlights of Russian culture can be had in Moscow without any of the complications that would be expected in other, less developed regions of Russia.

Cheap as Caviar

In Moscow, everything is bargain when with the current foreign exchange rates being what they are. Even caviar doesn’t seem so dear when the exchange rate is at 60rub to the dollar, so go on indulge yourself! Take your 2022 vacation in Moscow and have the best of both worlds, with European luxury at very affordable prices.

Lena, our guide in Moscow was excellent. She was very knowledgable and could answer any question we had for her. We liked that she could pick up on our interests and take us places we might not have thought of to go. When we realized that one of the places we had chosen to see would probably not be that interesting to us, she was able to arrange entry to the Diamond Fund and the Armoury for us. Riding the Metro with Lena was a real adventure and a lot of fun. In Saint Petersburg we found Anna well versed in the history of the Tsars and in the Hermitage collection. Arkady in Veliky Novgorod was a very good guide and answered all of our questions with ease. Novgorod was perhaps a long way to go for a day trip, but we did enjoy it. Vasily was a great driver to have and kept us safe with good humour and skill. We enjoyed ourselves so much, my daughter says she is already planning to return. We would both have no hesistation to recommend ExpresstoRussia to anyone we know.

Just wanted to let you know that My grandson Bruno and I couldn´t have been more pleased with our week in Moscow (6/15 - 6/21). We were absolutely enchanted with the whole experience, including getting lost a couple of times in the Metro during our free time. Although both our guides (both Eleanas) were excellent, I would particularly commend the first one (she took us to the Tatiakov, the KGB tour, and to that beautiful cemetery where so many great Russian artists, authors, composers, musicians, militarists, and politicians are buried). Her knowledge is encyclopedic; and her understanding of today´s Russia as a product of its past was, for us, truly enlightening. I will be taking another tour in Russia, with my wife, within the next two or three years. I will be in touch with you when the time comes. Meanwhile, I will refer you to other potential visitors to Russia as I meet them.

We had a great time both in Moscow and St Petersburg. Your travel agency was excellent in coordinating the whole trip. Everything worked like clockwork. The guides assigned to us were very nice and friendly. They had a great knowledge of their subjects. The cars and the drivers were great. The hotels were good and the itinerary was good. All in all, it was a wonderful experience. It was nice dealing with you and your company. Thank you very much for a great Russian experience. Have a great future ahead

Lease limits which teams can use 'Little Fenway' baseball field. One learned the hard way.

Elev8 baseball academy has a lease with delray beach in which it maintains miller park in exchange for control over which travel teams can play there..

Editor's note: This story has been updated.

DELRAY BEACH — So many players in caps and T-shirts lined the commission chamber that February night that Delray Beach City Hall looked like a youth baseball dugout.

That night, the kids had no place to play, no diamond to call their home.

They had come with their parents and coaches to call foul over their XLB Training travel program being barred from using Miller Park, the city complex that features a replica of Fenway Park, down to its “Green Monster” left-field wall.

“It feels like something out of a movie,” said Gus Ross, a member of the Little League board that works with XLB and the father of an XLB player. “A bunch of 8- to12-year-old children were told they weren't allowed on a public baseball field.”

Not so, says ELEV8 Baseball Academy, which under a longstanding agreement with the city can prohibit other travel programs from using Miller Park.

ELEV8 said it learned in late 2023 that XLB, a pay-to-play program that works with the Delray Beach Little League, had been using the park without its permission and that it barred the program from returning there once its fall season had finished.

XLB said it had long used the fields — a charge ELEV8 disputes — and that ELEV8'S decision left it scrambling to find a place to play. It had to postpone some games and reschedule others.

“This is not a story about Delray Beach kids being denied the right to play baseball on their local ballfields,” wrote Todd Moser, ELEV8’s head coach, in a statement to The Palm Beach Post. “This is the story of XLB Training, a for-profit, Boynton Beach travel baseball company, trying to play for free on city-owned ballfields that are maintained by our local nonprofit.”

City officials urged the two programs to find a solution, but talks produced none. Now XLB is looking at playing elsewhere until 2028, when the city and ELEV8 are scheduled to negotiate a new lease.

Shark tooth hunting in Palm Beach County Check out the bounty at these five area beaches

At issue: Should pay-to-play travel team have free use of city fields?

ELEV8 is an academy, calling itself a top-performing program for players with the talent to play in college or professionally. Its website says it offers "world-class training strategies" to help athletes, "guided by MLB and global league-experienced coaches.”

Tuition, room and board for those who live there and competition fees cost about $25,000 per year. Students can also opt for more expensive housing or add on schooling with Grandview Prep in Boca Raton for $12,500 more.

Since 2003, ELEV8 has had its lease with the city for Miller Park. In exchange, it has maintained and improved the ballfields there and at Currie Commons parks and said it has spent more than $1.7 million of its own money on those tasks since 2017.

ELEV8’s lease gives it the use of five fields from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and the use of another field from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. every weekday. The ballfields are open to anyone other than travel programs at other times, and the Delray Beach Little League practices and plays there on weeknights. Little Leagues — recreation programs open to boys and girls — typically use city parks for little or no cost.

XLB has long partnered with the Delray Beach Little League to offer advanced training to its players. Its website lists several training packages at various prices.

Pay-to-play travel programs often work with Little Leagues to save on field expenses, said Samuel Mettot, Delray Beach’s parks and recreation director. In its statement to The Post, ELEV8 took issue with that practice and said it was unfair for a private business to benefit from its maintenance of the park.

In a prepared statement, Ryan Lamb, XLB's owner, said his program "offered multiple times to rent the fields through the Little League, the city and ELEV8. The Little League board informed us we didn't need to rent the fields when we offered. Our request with ELEV8 to rent the fields from them was denied." He said it last made the offer in January.

Hurricane season 2024: Rapid intensification forecasts improve, and then there was Otis

Delray Beach officials urged talks, but no agreement emerged

Representatives from ELEV8 weren’t at the Feb. 6 City Commission meeting, when XLB leaders spoke about their after their ouster from Miller Park.

Lamb told commissioners his program learned it had lost access not from ELEV8 but from a city employee late on a Friday afternoon. XLB had to cancel games it had scheduled, and it didn’t have a field for a week or two, before securing space at Caloosa Park in Boynton Beach.

Lamb and XLB representative Greg Murray said the Little League approached XLB, asking for a partnership to improve training.

"We've benefitted from ELEV8's maintenance of the fields,” Murray said, “but it is in my opinion very nonsensical at this point.”

"This is not ELEV8 versus XLB. We both can exist there on good terms. We've been doing it for years."

In a prepared statement, ELEV8 disputed Murray's characterization that XLB has used the field “for years.” It said XLB never had permission to access the park nor a relationship with ELEV8.

Florida high heat index: What's the best temperature to set your air conditioner thermostat?

Former Mayor Shelly Petrolia thought they had a point and asked why XLB couldn’t use fields that were vacant. She urged the leagues to negotiate.

“Why would we not allow our children to have a travel team based on our children and our fields?” she said. “Why would ELEV8 have an issue with it?"

In its statement, ELEV8 said it offered to sponsor and run a free travel team for Delray Beach youths but that Little League officials declined.

ELEV8’s lease recently had its third renewal. City Attorney Lynn Gelin said early cancellation would require just cause and 60 days' notice. The city and ELEV8 must agree to any changes before then.

When the time comes to decide whether to renew the lease, “this information will factor into the determination,” Vice Mayor Juli Casale said.

American Airlines fires legal team for 'blaming' 9-year-old girl recorded in bathroom

The company backpedaled after the comments in court documents gained public attention. now, it has fired the lawyers who wrote the filing and hired new ones..

An image of the phone allegedly used to record a 14-year-old North Carolina while she used the bathroom aboard an American Airlines aircraft in September 2023.

American Airlines has fired its legal team following statements that a young girl was negligent after being recorded using the bathroom by a flight attendant.

The change in counsel comes a week after the airline landed in hot water over a May 21 court filing that stated that a 9-year-old girl was recorded through her “own fault and negligence,” while using the bathroom, according to previous USA TODAY reporting.

The company quickly backpedaled, telling USA TODAY that “outside legal counsel, retained with our insurance company made an error in this filing.”

The airline replaced the previous legal team with Kelly Hart & Hallman, a Texas-based firm, the company told USA TODAY Wednesday.

“We do not believe this child is at fault and we take the allegations involving a former team member very seriously," the airline said. "Our core mission is to care for people − and the foundation of that is the safety and security of our customers and team.”

Here’s what we know.

Former American Airlines employee charged with recording minors

The U.S. District Attorney’s Office for the State of Massachusetts says that former American Airlines flight attendant Estes Thompson had recordings of four girls − ages 7, 9, 11 and 14 − using the bathroom while he worked on their flights.

He's been charged with secretly recording the girls, the attempted sexual exploitation of children and possessing images of child sexual abuse.

Scott Lauer, Thompson's lawyer declined to comment.

Over 50 photographs of the 9-year-old girl were found on Thompson’s iCloud, Apple’s cloud service that stores and syncs data cross devices. There were also photos of her seated pre-flight and close ups of her face while she slept, according to the district attorney's office.

The girl, the same one American Airlines referred to as negligent in court records, is suing the airline.

Girls’ lawyer ‘not surprised’ American Airlines switched legal teams

Paul Llewellyn, an attorney representing the 9-year-old and another girl in the case, said that American Airlines' attorney swap was a direct result of the “intense media and public backlash surrounding the outrageous allegation.”

“With the benefit of this new legal representation, we hope that American Airlines will now take a fresh look at the case and finally take some measure of responsibility for what happened to our client," Llewellyn said in a statement to USA TODAY Wednesday.

Llewellyn said his team is “very confident that a Texas jury will do the right thing and hold American Airlines responsible."

“I was both shocked and outraged,” Llewellyn told USA TODAY. “As a lawyer I understand that you have to assert possible defenses, but I cannot even imagine a world where it would ever be appropriate to blame a 9-year-old for being filmed in an airplane bathroom.”

Breaking news, this loss extra painful for close rangers’ team: ‘like a family’.

Thanks for contacting us. We've received your submission.

SUNRISE, Fla. — The team that ended every practice with a hug finished its season by watching the opposition embrace.

These Rangers, most of the core having been here before this season, were particularly close. Every team is, but this one drew from it like a well.

It seeped into their mentality and into everything they did on the ice.

The Rangers' bench looks on dejectedly near the end of their 2-1 season-ending loss to the Panthers in Game 6.

The 2-1 loss to the Panthers on Saturday night that ended the season in Game 6 of the conference finals — one round short of their goal — was even more crushing for that fact.

“It feels like a family in here,” Mika Zibanejad said, speaking in a low voice inside the dressing room after it ended. “I think we’ve been working since training camp started. A lot of guys have been here from before and the new guys that came in have been unbelievable. It’s just everyone wants to see the next guy do well and everyone’s been fighting for the same thing, towards the same goal. I love this team and I love the guys on this team.

“This obviously makes it a lot harder to lose.”

These Rangers have grown up as a team together with relatively minimal changes to the core group.

Losing in Tampa at this stage two seasons ago hurt badly, but there were not expectations attached to that team the way there were this season.

The Rangers could justifiably look back on that run positively, as a joyride in which they arrived on the big stage.

Follow The Post’s coverage of the Rangers in the NHL playoffs

  • Rangers couldn’t match Panthers’ toughness as Stanley Cup drought continues
  • Rangers eliminated by Panthers in Game 6 as long playoff run falls short of Stanley Cup
  • Rangers’ biggest star deserved a Game 7 at the Garden
  • Rangers can’t find winning combo despite slew of lineup changes

This year, it’s hard to imagine there will be happy lamentations after the fact.

The Rangers were the best team in the regular season and never found a way to consistently generate offense against a Florida team that played a relentless, aggressive, physical style and shut down their space at every turn.

And, unlike two years ago, the group is not young enough that nearly every important piece can be back next season.

Ryan Lindgren, Kaapo Kakko and Braden Schneider will hit restricted free agency.

Jack Roslovic, Alex Wennberg, Blake Wheeler and Erik Gustafsson will be unrestricted; Igor Shesterkin and Alexis Lafreniere will be among those who are extension-eligible July 1. There will be hard decisions among that group.

“That’s the s—ty part of any season,” Adam Fox said. “I think there’s so many guys that came and helped, just because you know in pro sports you don’t keep everyone and teams change, but I think the culture we’ve built here, the camaraderie we’ve had is something that — you’re gonna have some turnover — I think the foundation is here.

“It sucks to think this year is over. I think what we built is strong.”

Is it safe to travel to France? The latest advice

T he French government has raised its terror alert to the highest possible level, “emergency”, following the terror attack in Moscow that left more than 135 people dead.

French prime minister Gabriel Attal said the decision was taken “in light of the Islamic State’s claiming responsibility for the [Moscow] attack and the threats weighing on our country”.

France’s terror threat system has three levels. The highest level is announced if there is a terrorist attack in France or overseas, or if an attack on French soil is considered to be imminent.

France was already on high alert for potential terrorist attacks, with the Paris Olympics and Paralympics due to take place in the capital this summer.

The updated terror alert comes just days before the UK Easter school holidays, when thousands of British holidaymakers will travel across the Channel for a getaway.

What is the Foreign Office advice for France?

The UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) France advice, which was last updated on February 20, reads: “There is a high threat of terrorist attack globally affecting UK interests and British nationals, including from groups and individuals who view the UK and British nationals as targets. You should remain vigilant at all times.”

“Methods of attack have included knife attacks, shootings, bombings and vehicle attacks. Be vigilant in public places and follow the advice of local French authorities,” the FCDO adds.

The FCDO lists shopping centres, entertainment establishments, cultural events, public transport and places of worship as settings where “indiscriminate” terrorism attacks could take place.

Check the France FCDO page for the latest advice.

What happened in the Moscow terror attack?

On Friday, terrorists carried out an attack at the Crocus City Hall on the outskirts of Moscow, killing at least 137 and injuring 140.

Four men, all of whom are citizens of Tajikistan, have been formally charged with committing a group terrorist attack. The attack has been claimed by the Afghanistan-based Islamic State Khorasan Province (IS-K) group.

On March 7, the United States warned its citizens in Russia that extremists had “imminent plans to target large gatherings in Moscow” and specifically mentioned concert venues. It advised Americans to avoid large gatherings.

What should I do if I get caught up in a terrorist attack?

Britain’s counter-terrorism police gives advice on what to do in the event of an emergency . This includes to run to a place of safety: “This is better than trying to surrender or negotiate.” To hide: “It is better to hide than confront. Barricade yourself in, turn your phone to silent and use only when it is safe to do so.” And to tell: “Make sure you know the local emergency numbers in the country you are travelling to. For all EU countries call 112.”

Have there been recent terrorist attacks in France?

There have been a number of terrorist attacks in France over the past decade. In January 2015, eight cartoonists, two guests and two police officers were murdered at the offices of the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo . The gunmen identified as belonging to al-Qaeda.

In November that year, in the deadliest terrorist attack in French history, 131 people were killed and 413 were injured in a series of shooting and grenade attacks at the Bataclan music venue, near the Stade de France and at several restaurants and bars across Paris. Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attacks.

In July 2016, 86 people were killed and 434 injured in Nice after a 19-tonne cargo truck was driven into crowds during Bastille Day celebrations on the Promenade des Anglais in Nice. Again Islamic State claimed responsibility.

What if I want to cancel my trip to France?

If you have booked a package holiday to France and want to cancel your trip for any reason, contact your tour operator and they might offer flexibility with alternative dates.

But bear in mind that, because the Foreign Office has not issued any advice against travel to France, there is no guarantee that you will receive a refund, nor will you be able to claim money back with your travel insurance company.

If you have booked flights and accommodation independently, and wish to cancel your holiday, contact your travel providers as soon as possible to see if you can rearrange your plans. Note, however, that given the circumstances, it is unlikely you will receive a full refund.

What’s New in vcpkg (May 2024): Dedicated Pages for Each Package on vcpkg.io

' data-src=

Augustin Popa

May 31st, 2024 1 1

This blog post summarizes changes to the vcpkg package manager as part of the 2024.05.24 release as well as changes to vcpkg documentation throughout May. This month’s update also includes individual pages for each package on the vcpkg website as well as several new documentation articles.

Some stats for this period:

  • There are now 2,434 total ports available in the vcpkg public registry. A port is a versioned recipe for building a package from source, such as a C or C++ library.
  • 11 new ports were added to the open-source registry.
  • 387 updates were made to existing ports. As always, we validate each change to a port by building all other ports that depend on or are depended by the library that is being updated for our 13 main triplets .
  • 20 contributors submitted PRs, issues, or participated in discussions in the main repo.
  • The main vcpkg repo has over 6,100 forks and 21,900 stars on GitHub.

There was no update this month to the vcpkg tool binary itself. However, we have made an important update to our website, vcpkg.io .

Individual pages for each port

Each one of the 2,434 ports available in the vcpkg open-source registry now has a dedicated page on vcpkg.io with more information about them. You can access these pages by using the search features accessible under Packages at the top right of the site. Below are some example screenshots of the openssl port. You can also review it for yourself at vcpkg.io/en/package/openssl .

A screenshot of a computer Description automatically generated

Each port page contains the following elements:

  • The name of the port.
  • The most recently available version.
  • A description of the port.
  • The license for the port.
  • The last updated date for the port.
  • The “Supports” expression for the port which lists which triplets are explicitly supported or not supported. If blank, all triplets are assumed to be supported.
  • A link to documentation for the port, if available.
  • A link to the homepage for the port, if available.
  • Installation instructions for both classic and manifest mode.
  • Dependencies: Lists the port’s dependencies.
  • Features: Lists the port’s optional features.
  • Versions: Lists all available versions of the port in the vcpkg registry.
  • Port Content: Lists all the files that comprise the port.

We hope these new pages make it easier for anyone interested in vcpkg to learn more about libraries they can install out of the box from the open-source registry. And we would love your feedback on how we can make our website better!

Documentation changes

  • Separated previous binary caching article into separate concepts and reference articles. The concepts article is a good place to start if you are new to binary caching or want to learn best practices. The reference article lists all the interaction points of the feature and is useful when you are actually implementing or updating binary caching support for your libraries.
  • Added Port policies reference article. Documents various ways to change and customize vcpkg’s behavior, such as post-build checks, and how certain ports are categorized based on their intended functionality.
  • Added Continuous integration concepts article. Provides guidance for using vcpkg in continuous integration environments.

If you have any suggestions for our documentation, please submit an issue in our GitHub repo or see the box at the bottom of a particular article.

Total ports available for tested triplets

While vcpkg supports a much larger variety of target platforms and architectures (as community triplets ), the list above is validated exhaustively to ensure updated ports don’t break other ports in the catalog.

This is great news! I’ve always wondered why the vcpkg.io website contained so little useful information. Some more ideas for improvements:

– Show port usage information (what vcpkg install prints after installation) – Make the tree of files that a port creates after installation browsable – Show download counts – For common software licenses, link to a webpage with more information about the license (e.g. https://choosealicense.com/licenses/ ) – Make the listed versions link to the corresponding commit on GitHub

My other pain point with the website in the past was that it seemed to get updated only irregularly and some ports would be available but not shown on the website. Not sure if this is still an issue but it was for me in the past when I looked for newer ports and couldn’t find them.
