By going on one of our most popular tours, Southwest Adventure Tours will show you Utah’s Mighty 5 national parks in 8 days. Those parks are Arches, Bryce Canyon, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, and Zion. Each park will enable you to see spectacular scenery and unique geological formations all within the southern half of Utah.

We love to show off our home State of Utah, so guiding your tour in these parks and the other scenic areas we cover is our specialty. This tour is purposely designed to have a day on each end of the tour to plan travel into and out of Salt Lake City. Our tour is also customizable. It can include more physical and adventurous activities, more leisurely sightseeing, or more days to do both! It can also be modified to spend more time in specific places. Rise early to watch the sun rise over Bryce Canyon from one of its many viewpoints. Explore a few more locations in the park including hiking below the rim of the canyon. Drive from Bryce Canyon to Zion National Park along scenic Highway 12 and Highway 89, which zips past red-rock mountains and yawning slot canyons. Hike the East Canyon Overlook Trail for a bird’s-eye view of the canyon before exploring the main canyon of Zion National Park.

At Zion, you have many options to choose from. Challenge yourself as you ascend up to Scouts Lookout for overlooks of the Main Canyon. Traverse the 3-mile Emerald Pools loop to see a trio of pools and waterfalls. Hike and explore the Narrows of the Virgin River and immerse yourself in this oasis in the wilderness. Enjoy a short stop at the Kolob Canyons section of Zion National Park on your way to Salt Lake City. Return to Salt Lake City between 6:00 and 7:00 pm.

What a great day we had a with Tom from GSWA. We are a group that likes to learn and Tom quenched that thirst. He was so knowledgeable about the area, the history, the geology and the people north of Santa Fe. We highly recommend GSWA and it's wonderful team. A special thanks to LaVonne for making it happen on very short notice!

I am so glad that I found Great Southwest Adventures, that they offered a day trip to Taos from Santa Fe and that they were willing and able to take a party of 1 on a tour on a date I wanted to go. I was recently vacationing in Santa Fe, New Mexico and didn't want to rent a car since everything I had read said it was a very walk-able destination (and that was accurate from my experience too!). However, I also heard from many that it was worth finding a way to get to Taos and the Taos Pueblo, so thus began my search. I contacted numerous other day trip outlets that were unable to accommodate a party of 1 either as a practice or on the dates I was interested in going. Then, I found Great Southwest Adventures and the stars were seemingly aligned. Booking was a breeze with LaVonne who is probably the nicest person I've ever spoken to on the phone that I've never met. She assured me they would be able to accommodate me on my first choice date and that there would be pickup in my hotel lobby (and added benefit!). So, I booked it and anxiously anticipated the tour date. When it arrived, they were at my hotel right around when they said they would be and I met Tom, our tour guide and driver for the day. We were a party of 6 total and he had snacks and waters to keep us full and hydrated as our journey began. The tour itself was scheduled for ~8 hours and we were closer to about 9 hours. Tom was knowledgeable on numerous subjects and paced the tour quite well. Tours like this can sometimes be a disappointment, but this was by far one of the best tours I've ever been on. We got to see and experience a LOT. And as Tom told us, while we may have thought the Taos Pueblo was the destination, the journey to and from were equally as spectacular. I don't want to spoil the tour should you go yourself, but if you are in New Mexico and looking for an outstanding tour experience, don't hesitate to see what Great Southwest Adventures is offering that aligns to your interests and travel schedule - I have a feeling you won't be disappointed!

Came to Santa Fe on a ladies trip with 2 friends. We wanted to also go to Taos so searched for a tour. Spoke with LaVonne and she is a doll! We arranged the trip but the day before,the weather looked bad. She was extremely accommodating and rearranged everything for the next day. The tour was so much more than a trip to Taos! The tour guide Alex had a wealth of knowledge about history, people, geology, terrain and more. It was not a lecture but a wonderful stream of conversation. He added multiple sites he felt may be of interest to us - they were - and he was patient with our excess picture taking. By the end we wanted to adopt him!! I would recommend this tour and company to everyone.
