How do i buy currency from you.

You can exchange currency from any of our Bureaux de Change in John Lewis. You can also order online with next working day home delivery , or c lick and collect from your nearest Waitrose and John Lewis.

Does someone need to be home if I want my order delivered?

Yes, your order will be delivered by Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed™ service and will need to be signed for by either you or someone else at your address.

What is click and collect?

Click and collect allows you to order online and collect your travel money from any Waitrose or John Lewis store.

Simply select the click and collect option when placing your online order. We’ll send you a collection date in your confirmation email, as well as a reminder email and text message when your order is ready to be collected. Your order will be held for seven days from the collection date.

Your travel money order can be collected from the customer information point at any time during the opening hours of the store.

What currency do I need?

It’s helpful to know what currency you’ll need when travelling abroad before you get there. This ensures you can jump right into the fun when you arrive. For guidance on what currency you might need for your destination, you can ask one of our partners at the Bureau de Change desk or check our rate table .

Are all currencies available?

We sell over 50 types of currency online and up to 30 in our Bureaux de Change. To find out if we stock the currency you need online, you can check the list on our rate table. For in-store exchanges, please visit your nearest John Lewis Bureau de Change to ask one of our Partners, or call 0330 123 3396 to ask a member of our customer service team.

Is it cheaper to withdraw cash abroad or exchange currency before you go?

Withdrawing holiday money abroad is great in an emergency, but you can’t guarantee the currency exchange rate will be the same as it was when you left home. When using a card abroad, you might be subject to ATM fees. By exchanging currency with John Lewis before you go, you can be safe in the knowledge that you’ll get a great rate and you won’t be paying any commission.

Can you use a credit card to buy travel money?

Yes, you can absolutely use a credit card to buy your travel money. It’s important to know that while we do not charge you extra to pay by credit card, some card issuers charge additional fees for foreign currency exchange payments. Make sure to check with your bank first before purchasing travel money.

How much money do I need to take on holiday?

The amount of travel money you need to take on holiday depends on what kind of trip you’re taking, but it’s always smart to have a budget so you know what to expect. No matter how big or small your budget you should take multiple ways to pay with you, to keep you safe in every scenario. This could be cash, debit/credit cards or prepaid travel cards. If you end up with leftover foreign currency at the end of your trip, we’re happy to buy it back from you at a competitive rate.

An Airbnb "guest favourite" that has glowing reviews is right here at a beachside location.

The Owl House, in Hightown, is "one of the most loved homes" on the booking website, according to guests. The hut, which is described as a glamping experience, is secluded in a garden that overlooks sand dunes and Hightown beach , between Crosby and Formby beach.

Tracy Lewis made the charming beach hut out of recycled materials such as cob and old plywood back in 2010. Her creation, featuring curved windows made from old glass bottles, then went on to be a finalist in Channel 4’s Shed of the Year Competition in 2015.

Since then, hundreds of visitors have been to the "magical" Owl House for a staycation and left glowing reviews. Host Tracy said the unique venue was designed by her friend Leonardo and took three months to build.

Found at the bottom of her garden, it's just a 10 minute walk away from Hightown train station. From the station, guests can jump on a train to Formby Pine Woods or into Liverpool city centre .

Tracy said: "The area I live in is tranquil and quiet. It is so relaxing and spending time in the Owl House means you can really get close to nature. There are local mobile dunes and the sleepy Hightown beach with its petrified forest and snaking Alt Estuary.

"Just three miles north you can find the famous Formby beach where they discovered footprints of Neolithic men and the town with its pinewoods reserve, home to the red squirrel. But within just 30 minutes you can be in the middle of Liverpool."

Recently, Hightown was named one of the most desirable villages to live in Britain, according to research from Savills and Telegraph Money . The Times report said: "Commuters can work in the city and retreat to the coast where there are sandy and shingle stretches, dunes and wetlands teaming with wildlife such as natterjack toads.

"The nearby Sefton Coastal Path provides views of sprawling farmland and coastal vistas." The Pheasant Inn, on Moss Lane, is also a much loved gastropub that has been named among the top 50 pubs in the UK, by Big 7 Travel .

One five star reviewer, who used The Owl House said: "If you're looking for a peaceful and beautiful place to stay at- this is the one! Waking up with an incredible view on to the sea and drinking our coffee outside in the beautiful garden was exactly what we needed. Tracy (and the dogs) made us feel warmly welcomed and at home. We will definitely come back."

While another added: "Perfect for a Weekend getaway to the beach, Host more than helpful and accommodating, easy to get to beautiful surroundings, looks exactly like the photos if not better in person, would highly recommend for anyone looking for a nice weekend away, 100% visiting again."

Nicolas Jackson and Moises Caicedo admit they would love to have shared a dressing room with Thiago Silva beyond the end of the season at Chelsea , but wish the defender all the best for the future.

Silva’s current contract expires in the summer and the 39-year-old announced this morning that he had decided against extending his stay in west London for a further 12 months .

Instead, the veteran Brazilian is believed to have reached a verbal agreement to return home to his boyhood club Fluminense for the 2024/25 campaign.

In his four years at Stamford Bridge, Silva has helped the Blues win the Champions League, the Super Cup, the Club World Cup and will leave an enormous void in a squad already lacking strong leaders and experienced heads.

Silva was pictured in floods of tears as Chelsea lost to Manchester City in their FA Cup semi-final clash earlier this month and the ex-AC Milan and PSG centre-back will be desperate to finish the season on a high, with five Premier League games remaining.

‘Chelsea means a lot to me. I came here with the intention of only staying for a year and it ended up being four years. Not just for me but for my family, too,’ Silva said in an emotional farewell video on the club’s official website.

‘My sons play for Chelsea so it’s a source of great pride to be a part of the Chelsea family – literally because my sons are here. I hope they can continue their careers here at this victorious club that many players wish to be part of.

‘I think in everything I did here over the four years, I always gave my all. But, unfortunately, everything has a start, a middle and an end.

‘That doesn’t mean that this is a definitive end. I hope to leave the door open so that in the near future I can return, albeit in another role here.

‘But it’s an indescribable love. I can only say thank you.’

Chelsea forward Jackson has relished sharing a dressing room with Silva and believes the Brazil international will ‘for sure’ be a coach when he decides to bring his playing career to an end.

‘I was watching Thiago since I was young and he’s an inspiration in football,’ Jackson told Sky Sports.

‘He’s one of the best defenders in the world and to come and be in the same dressing room, on the same pitch, listening to him, giving me advice, giving us all advice in the dressing room, it was a pleasure.

‘We all wish to be with him for more years in the dressing room, playing with us and enjoying together. We hoped we would win something but it was not possible.

‘We just wish him luck and his family and hope he does great in what he wants to do, in his career.

‘I think he will be a coach, for sure, because he’s like an inspiration to the young people so I’m very happy to be with him and I wish him luck.’

Chelsea midfielder Caicedo, meanwhile, hopes to see Silva return as a manager after spending a season with the legendary centre-half’s team-mate.

‘He’s a legend and it’s amazing to share a lot of moments with him,’ the Ecuador international said.

‘But I will have liked to play more years with him because I can learn a lot from him all over the pitch.

‘But his decision is his decision and we have to respect his decision, but maybe, I hope, he can come here as a manager or something like this and we can learn more from him.’
