It’s been a crazy last few years for Vika & Linda, and not just in the ways that it has been for all of us.

June 2020 saw them release their career-spanning collection ‘Akilotoa and score their first Number One Album. Not a bad start. Three months later they released their gospel album, Sunday (The Gospel According To Iso), which debuted at number two. Into 2021, September saw them release their first album of new material in nearly two decades, aptly titled The Wait, which also went to number two. And 2022 was no less frantic. The Queen’s Birthday saw them awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia for their service to the performing arts, and they ended the year with not only their first Christmas album, Gee Whiz, It’s Christmas!, but their long-awaited memoir No Bull, which documented their journey from Doncaster, in suburban Melbourne, to the top of the charts.

Reflecting on their whirlwind past few years, which saw chart-topping success, prestigious accolades, and numerous acclaimed releases, Vika & Linda have decided to embrace a more intimate approach for the start of 2024. Inspired by their fond memories of impromptu singalongs and soundcheck sessions, the duo, alongside musical director Cameron Bruce, will present a stripped-back performance, allowing their voices to take centre stage.

Scheduled to kick off in March, ‘An Evening with Vika & Linda’ will showcase a selection of their timeless hits, reimagined in a way that audiences have never heard before. This unique format promises to offer a fresh perspective on Vika & Linda’s music, providing a deeper insight into their vocal prowess and emotional depth.

While the decision to embark on such a bold musical venture may seem daunting, Vika & Linda have proven time and again their willingness to embrace new challenges. With their unwavering dedication to their craft and a string of successful ventures behind them, the duo is ready to embark on this next chapter of their musical journey.

For fans eagerly awaiting the opportunity to witness Vika & Linda’s unparalleled talent in person, ‘An Evening with Vika & Linda’ is an event not to be missed. With tickets already selling fast, securing a spot at one of their performances promises to be an experience of a lifetime.

Presented by: Sinclair Artists

You can’t beat siblings singing together, Paul Kelly observed when Vika & Linda released their 2020 anthology, ‘Akilotoa. “They make the air beat in sync.”

It comes naturally to Melbourne’s Bull sisters – they’ve been singing together their entire lives, starting in church with their mother, Siniva, who came to Australia as a nursing student in 1959. “Tongans by nature are fun, always laughing, always eating, always singing and always praying,” Vika explains.

“We learned to sing at church,” Linda adds. “Our mother was our teacher and we loved listening to the Tongans singing. It was joyous.”

From church to the charts, Vika & Linda have enjoyed a remarkable musical journey; as iconic members of The Black Sorrows; on their own 1994 double-platinum debut, Vika and Linda; and on number-one albums by Paul Kelly, Kasey Chambers and John Farnham. Their seven studio albums traverse rock, country, gospel, reggae, R&B, soul and blues, as well as their rich Tongan heritage.

“Vika and Linda Bull have enchanted Australian music fans for the past three decades with their effervescent performance and effortless harmonies." Kathy McCabe, The Daily Telegraph

The OAM was recognition of more than three decades of making music. “When you set out to be a singer, you sing because you love it, it’s your passion,” Linda noted. “But when you’re recognised by your country for it, for your service to it, that’s a whole other level.” After making their public singing debut – performing ‘Everything Is Hunky Dory Children Of The Lord’ in church – Vika & Linda formed their own band, The Honeymooners, in 1987. The following year, after being recommended by drummer Peter Luscombe, they joined The Black Sorrows – initially for a six-week tour; they stayed for six years.

Vika & Linda’s first album with The Black Sorrows, Hold On To Me, featured the classic ‘Chained To The Wheel’. “I didn’t want to put ‘Chained To The Wheel’ on the album,” Joe Camilleri later revealed. “It wasn’t until I found Vika Bull that I realised it could work.” Hold On To Me became The Black Sorrows’ first Top 10 album, also hitting the Top 10 in Scandinavia. Vika & Linda toured the world with the Sorrows, won Best Group at the ARIA Awards, and released two more multi-platinum albums, Harley and Rose and Better Times, before branching out on their own with their double platinum self-titled debut in 1994, which hit the Top 10 in Australia, number 16 in New Zealand, and was nominated for an ARIA Award. Bloodlines Music reissued Vika & Linda’s debut in 2020 on red vinyl – the album’s first vinyl release. Vika & Linda are admired and respected by fans and fellow artists. “They are the most loved vocal duo of their generation,” Craig Horne wrote in his 2019 book, Roots, How Melbourne Became The Live Music Capital Of The World. Kasey Chambers says simply, “Hearing Vika & Linda’s voices together is still one of my favourite sounds ever.” “I’m a huge fan,” agrees Mark Seymour, who wrote Vika & Linda’s debut single, ‘When Will You Fall For Me’. “They believe in music – which is a rare thing – and they’ve endured.” “Their beauty, talent and virtuosity is irrefutable,” adds James Reyne. “Musical life with Vika & Linda is one that’s full of soul, harmony and joy.” The Bull sisters inspired young star Mo’Ju. “I grew up listening to Vika & Linda – I would copy their dance moves off the TV. I don’t think I’d have a career in the Australian music industry if I hadn’t had them to look up to and to pave the way.”

Kiwi star Marlon Williams is enraptured by Vika & Linda’s compelling live show. “You ask anyone who’s seen the Bull sisters live and they’ll tell you that the moment they come on stage the temperature just changes in the room. There’s just so much heat.” Tim Rogers calls them “the most generous performers that I know” and remains in awe of their vocal prowess. “People often say it’s a gift from God to sing like that and it is a thing of wonder.” “Their voices combined sound salty-sweet,” Paul Kelly says, “and have that elusive twinned quality you only get when siblings sing together – two swallows swooping and spiralling in the air as if invisibly girded. Vika has great cut and articulation and can really open up the throttle. Linda is warm and mellow like honey. But they can switch roles. They can both be tough and tender.” Vika & Linda have also been long-term members of Paul Kelly’s band and have sung on several of his chart-topping albums. “I’ve come to realise,” Paul says, “largely from working with Vika & Linda, that I really like having another voice on a record besides mine.” “I like the way we sound when we sing together,” Vika says of working with Paul. “It’s like a family group, like The Carter Family or The Staple Singers.” In 2016, Vika & Linda sang for 100,000 people when they performed the national anthem at the AFL Grand Final. The Herald Sun’s Cameron Adams wrote, “Anyone who has to sing the national anthem at a major sporting event in the future needs to YouTube this as research.” Also in 2016, Vika & Linda received a Special Recognition Award at the Pacific Music Awards, presented in New Zealand. And they were inducted into the Music Victoria Hall of Fame in 2019 by their good friend Kate Ceberano. “And now together,” Kate said, “always together – forever together – we celebrate their important position in the history of Australian music.”

Vika & Linda made their own history in 2020 when their career anthology, ‘Akilotoa, entered the Australian charts at number one – their first chart-topping album and the first number one album by an Australian female duo. Three months later, Vika & Linda’s gospel collection, Sunday (The Gospel According To Iso), debuted at number two. “Soon it would become apparent that 2020 was the year that many artistic careers slid to a pause,” wrote Andrew McMillen in The Australian, “but not that of Vika & Linda, whose soulful vocal prowess became a radiant beacon of warmth.” An early influence, Joe Camilleri, is proud of what Vika & Linda have achieved, blazing a trail for other female artists. “Over the years I’ve watched them grow and grow and now they’re a real powerhouse.” As Goanna’s Shane Howard notes, “They’re a musical treasure.” Along the way, Vika & Linda have been much-loved members of the RocKwiz Orkestra – on TV and on the road – and sung on iconic Australian albums such as Archie Roach’s Charcoal Lane, John Farnham’s Chain Reaction, Deborah Conway’s String of Pearls, Hunters & Collectors’ Ghost Nation, Ross Wilson’s Dark Side Of The Man, Kasey Chambers’ Dragonfly and Paul Kelly’s first number one album, Life Is Fine.

For their own music, Vika & Linda have traversed rock, country, gospel, reggae, R&B, soul and blues, as well as paying tribute to their rich Tongan heritage. “Singing so many different styles has made us hard to pigeonhole, but it has made us the singers we are today.” In 2022, the sisters released their first Christmas album, Gee Whiz, It’s Christmas! (an “all-killer stocking-filler”, according to Rhythms magazine). Anyone expecting a set of gospel tracks or traditional Christmas carols was in for a surprise as Vika & Linda delivered their joyous take on seasonal songs by Slade, the Ramones, Wizzard, Queen and Tom Petty. The Christmas collection coincided with the release of No Bull, the sisters’ memoir documenting their journey from Doncaster, in suburban Melbourne, to the top of the charts. Vika & Linda have also carved their own careers on the theatre stage, with Vika touring the world as the lead in At Last: The Etta James Story. Vika has also starred in Let’s Get It On: The Life and Music of Marvin Gaye and Tapestry: The Songs of Carole King, while Linda has starred in Stardust: The Songs of Willie Nelson. And the sisters tell their own story, through stories and song, in the acclaimed Between Two Shores, which premiered at the Adelaide Cabaret Festival in 2019. “Through all this,” Vika says, “we’ve learnt to be honest with ourselves, work as hard as we can, to take full responsibility for our decisions – both good and bad – and, most importantly, to get the job done and to enjoy ourselves.” “After 35 years, we feel we are just hitting our stride,” Linda adds. “We have never been in a hurry to get to the top. That has never been our goal. Longevity has.” Mission accomplished. ‘Akilotoa – named after a Tongan song about love that the sisters listened to when they were growing up, and later recorded for their second album, Princess Tabu – marked the end of one chapter in Vika & Linda’s remarkable story.

As they state in the liner notes, “The time has come around for our next chapter to begin.” That chapter arrived in 2021, with the release of Vika & Linda’s first album of original material in 19 years. The album was aptly titled The Wait. Preceded by the singles ‘Raise Your Hand’ and ‘My Heart Is In The Wrong Place’, the songwriting credits for The Wait read like a who’s who of Aussie music royalty: Kasey Chambers, Ben Salter, Paul Kelly, Don Walker, Glenn Richards, Chris Cheney, Bernard Fanning, Matt Walker, Neil Murray and Mick Thomas. The Wait entered the ARIA charts at number two – Vika & Linda’s third Top 3 album in just 15 months. Paul Kelly’s review said simply, “Heart, soul, harmony, attitude and wit. Do yourself a favour, get it and play it loud!” While STACK and Rhythms hailed it as “album of the year”. “These voices have the ability to make a new tune sound timeless, to make something personal and private seem universal and classic,” Mick Thomas wrote in The Wait’s liner notes. “Like gospel music itself, comfortable and reassuring, at the same time inspired and elevated. These are the voices you need to get you through. And the songs can come along for the ride.” VIKA & LINDA: THE ALBUMS Vika & Linda (1994) Princess Tabu (1996) Two Wings (1999) Live & Acoustic (2000) Love Is Mighty Close (2002) Tell The Angels (live, 2004) Between Two Shores (2006) ‘Akilotoa, Anthology – 1994-2006 (2020) Sunday (The Gospel According To Iso) (2020) The Wait (2021) Gee Whiz, It’s Christmas! Two of Australia’s best voices are returning to stages with their brand new album,  The Wait .

Vika & Linda have a lot to celebrate with this new record: not only is it the sisters’ first album of original material in a staggering 14 years, but it is also a record that brings with it a brand new tour cycle. The release of the  ‘Akilotoa  anthology and  Sunday ( The Gospel According To Iso) records brought Vika & Linda #1 and #2 ARIA Chart positions respectively last year. Taylor Swift's Sweet Onstage Reaction to Football Lyric Amid Travis Kelce Romance Will Feel Like Flying

Taylor swift couldn't help but react to a lyric about dating a football player in her song "fifteen" during her june 2 eras tour concert in lyon, france..

Taylor Swift was feeling the alchemy during a recent Eras Tour stop.

The "Fortnight" singer had an adorable reaction to singing a lyric that called to mind boyfriend Travis Kelce 's profession at her June 2 show in Lyon, France.

In a video shared to TikTok , Taylor was seen sporting a wide grin and blushing as she performed her Fearless track "Fifteen."

"In your life, you'll do things greater than dating the boy on the football team," she sang, before laughing to herself. "I didn't know it at fifteen."

After the crowd erupted in cheers over her cheeky delivery, the 34-year-old threw her head back before continuing on to sing the next line.

Fans were quick to draw a connection between Taylor's reaction and her romance with Travis, who she began dating last summer .

"Our girl has got her forever man," one user commented under the video, "sooooo cuteeee."

Another fan joked about what Taylor must have been thinking while singing those words, writing, "She's like well that's ironic."

Of course, that's not the only time Travis got a subtle shoutout during her concert. Back in May, fans also caught a nod  to the Kansas City Chiefs tight end that was added into the choreography for Taylor's  Tortured Poets Department  segment of the show.

The new setlist addition certainly earned approval from Travis, who shared he had a "blast" watching the updated version of the show in Paris alongside Taylor's pal Gigi Hadid and her boyfriend Bradley Cooper .

"It was an all-around lovely night," the NFL star told brother Jason Kelce during a May 15 episode of their New Heights podcast. "I don't know if they're just getting better or if I'm just forgetting how they are."

Travis added, "It was electric."

Keep reading to relive Taylor and Travis' love story.

July 2023: So, Make the Friendship Bracelets

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce 's love story began in July 2023, when the singer's Eras Tour made a stop at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo.

As a huge Swiftie, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end caught the show with hopes of giving Taylor a friendship bracelet with his number on it . However, he failed to complete the pass due to her pre-show rituals.

"I was disappointed that she doesn't talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings," Travis shared on the July 26 episode of his  New Heights podcast. "So, I was a little butt-hurt I didn't get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her."

Summer 2023: This Is Him Trying

After publicly recounting his fumble—a move Taylor would later describe as "metal as hell" —Travis decided to shoot his shot and invite the Grammy winner to watch the Chiefs play at Arrowhead Stadium.

"I threw it out there, I threw the ball in her court," he shared on The Pat McAfee Show . "I told her, you know, 'I've seen you rock the stage in Arrowhead, you might have to come see me rock the stage in Arrowhead and see which one's a little more lit.' So, we'll see what happens in the near future."

August 2023: Enchanted to Meet You

Travis was rocking a mustache—which he debuted in August during training camp—when he was first introduced to Taylor .

As he later noted of the era, "That 'stache and the 87 jersey was pretty iconic there for a little bit, and I had it when I met Taylor for the first time."

September 2023: Sparks Fly

By early September, a source close to the situation told E! News that Travis and Taylor were " texting and talking here and there ."

"It's been very low-key," the insider explained, "as he's been in season."

September 2023: Cheer Captain

Accepting Travis' invite, Taylor joined the athlete's mom Donna Kelce at Arrowhead Stadium to watch him and the Chiefs take on the Chicago Bears. After the game, Taylor and Travis were seen packing PDA at a local bar .

Though folklore had it that it was the couple's first in-person meeting, the "Karma" singer later clarified the two had spent a "significant amount of time" getting to know each other beforehand.

As Taylor noted, "We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date."

October 2023: Team Up

As an indication that the relationship was heating up, Taylor brought her squad —including friends Blake Lively , Ryan Reynolds , Sophie Turner , Hugh Jackman , Sabrina Carpenter and Antoni Porowski —to watch the Chiefs play against the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

October 2023: It's Nice to Have a Friend

Another sign that Travis could be The 1 ? Taylor started bonding with Brittany Mahomes —the wife of Travis' BFF and teammate Patrick Mahomes —in and outside of NFL games .

October 2023: Welcome to New York

The couple took their romance to TV, making a surprise appearance on the Oct. 14 episode of Saturday Night Live . Their Big Apple takeover also included the after-party for the NBC sketch show and a date night at the Waverly Inn .

November 2023: Karma Is Her Boyfriend

During a bye week, Travis traveled down to Argentina to catch the South American leg of Taylor's Eras Tour. Not only did the NFL star bond with Taylor's dad , Scott Swift , at the Nov. 11 show in Buenos Aires, but he also got a special shoutout from the stage.

" Karma is that guy on the Chiefs ," Taylor sang, "coming straight home to me."

After the show, the Midnights  artist was seen running up to Travis backstage and greeting him with a passionate kiss .

December 2024: Speak Now

Taylor addressed the lavender craze surrounding her appearances at Travis' games.

"I'm going to see him do what he loves, we're showing up for each other, other people are there and we don't care," she told Time . "The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you're seeing someone."

December 2023: You, Who Charmed Her Dad

The music superstar turned Travis' Dec. 17 game into a family affair, bringing her dad to cheer on her man .

January 2024: All the Midnights

Taylor and Travis spent their first New Year's Eve together, sharing a romantic kiss when the clock struck midnight on Jan. 1.
