Great two-week trip to Vietnam and Laos

My husband and I used Absolute Asia Travel to book a two-week trip to central and northern Vietnam and to the Luang Prabang region of Laos. Huyen, the agent from Absolute Asia Travel, was very patient and considerate as she worked with us to design a custom trip meeting our interests and requirements. The resulting trip was perfect in every way. The hotels and restaurants included in our itinerary were all great, and the villages, wats, and other sights as arranged by them were just what we wanted. The three guides in the three areas of our trip all spoke good English and were very knowledgeable, sharing information, not only about the sights we visited, but also about daily life and culture in their regions. Meeting them and Huyen were real highlights of our trip. We highly recommend Absolute Asia Travel to anyone.

My recent trip to Siem Reap was incredible, made even more so by your company's meticulous attention to detail, and even more so by my guide Sokky. His depth and breadth of knowledge, and his ability to communicate it was outstanding, and most impressive. He knew the best times to visit all the sites, and with his driver, assured my experience was phenomenal. he even communicated my dietary needs to the facilities we frequented. Anna’s Sticky Rice Group

Anna’s Sticky Rice Group. Having suggested locations the 6 of us wanted to visit I quickly received a detailed schedule of what was possible within our travel dates. It was really comprehensive and excellent value. Once agreed we got a six page email down to the finest detail for each leg of our travels including all the guides names and contact details. The guides and drivers, flights and hotels were all perfect. As for our trips....they all exceeded our expectations and it was good to see how Vietnam had developed with the environment in mind since our last visit 5 years ago. We have been lucky to have visited many parts of this planet of ours and personalised tours for small groups can vary greatly in quality. We can state without any reservations that this is the best trip we have had and that is in great part down to an excellent company who kept in touch with us all through our trip to make sure everything and everyone was ok. Great value

Great value - 3 week tour of Vietnam and Thailand. The guides were all very good, accommodating, flexible when we asked for adjustments in the itinerary. The drivers were all very competent, dependable, punctual - we never worried about not making a connection as we traveled by van, airplane, or boat. A truly memorable vacation.

24 Day Vietnam adventure

The trip that Huyen designed for us was exactly what we asked for. It was jam packed and we were constantly on the go. We did a 24 day tour of the entire country from the north to the south, starting with the northern mountains and its natural wonders. We then headed to Hanoi, Ha Long Bay overnight on a boat, then an overnight train to Hue, continuing to Hoi An, Dalat, Mekong, and Saigon. Our trip was a mix of different modes of transport and a mix of hotels, homestays, and lodges. Not all of them were amazing (peoples taste may vary), but as a whole the trip was an awesome experience We had guides and drivers set for us for the entire trip which made things a bit easier. They all helped us communicate and were extremely knowledgeable about their country and the city they were in specifically. Being in a country for that long you start seeing similar things over and over, most of our guides were able to give different perspectives which made it a little more interesting. My suggestion would be to do your research and know what you want to see and what kind of trip you want to have and let Absolute Asia build it for you. We went back and forth with changes for a month or so and ended with just what we wanted. Its a big country and they know the best way to show it off to you.

Customer service above and beyond (Sen at Absolute Asia Travel)

Me and my fiancé went on a two week trip to Vietnam in September/October last year. It was based on one of the suggested tours and then customized to our interests by Sen at Absolute Asia Travel. Sen's help was invaluable both before the trip in the planning stages, and during the trip. To understand what type of travel we are interested in she asked a number of detailed questions. Then she made suggestions based on our interests, and accommodated all our change requests. She gave us multiple itineraries with accommodations at different standards, and then we could just mix and match for ourselves. Sen also advised and helped us with the visa process, and she answered all of our questions promptly. During the trip itself we were free to call or message her at any time if we needed any help. This was in general not needed as we were with our guides most of the time, but it is nice to know that you have that option. Sen checked in with us regularly over the course of the trip to make sure everything was alright. Most importantly she kept an eye on the weather forecast and switched our itinerary around as necessary to minimize the rain having a negative impact on our travels. I would strongly recommend Absolute Asia Travel, and Sen especially. There is no easier and more relaxing way to plan your Asia travels.

My husband and I made a wonderful trip to Vietnam and Cambodia using Absolute Asia. Tuan organized an amazing itinerary that incorporated the elements we wished to see, making suggestions that allowed us to maximize our time throughout. The guides and drivers which were provided were excellent! Such an added value to have local experts accompanying us and explaining the history, culture, and customs of the regions. We are planning another trip in the near future and will be using Absolute Asia to make the travel arrangements and for their guidance throughout. An excellent value that can't be matched by US-based companies.

Amazing, professional, reliable

I don’t know where to start! Absolute Asia Travel have been amazing. We were passed onto them by another tour agency that we had initially approached that didn’t have capacity to deal with us and we are so glad that happened! Chloe looked after us. We were travelling for our honeymoon for a few months and I messaged Chloe only a week in advance for help with various parts of our itinerary in Vietnam. She picked it up immediately and began suggesting activities/ hotels and places to see which were all fantastic. Through Chloe we booked a two day cruise in the Mekong delta, a day trip to Chu chi tunnels with a guide, a private jeep tour from Hoi to hue on the hai van pass with an amazing seafood lunch, a day tour in hue and two days in the pu luong region trekking and seeing local villages with a guide. Everything was planned with amazing attention to detail and it worked like clockwork. Everyone turned up when they were supposed to, the guides were excellent, all transport was immaculate and safe and everyone that we dealt with was professional, knowledgeable and flexible. We couldn’t have asked for a better tour company. We worked with Chloe to let her know our budget and what kinds of things we like and she completely nailed it. One of the hotels that she found for us in pu luong was one of the best of our entire travels through Asia! Chloe checked in regularly on WhatsApp and would confirm plans the day before and her assistance was invaluable. We had an issue travelling to Cambodia (nothing to do with Absolute Asia Travel) as we were leaving the country by boat rather than flight and she helped to pull together itineraries and documents with just an hour’s notice to ensure that there would be no issues for us! She also completed my husbands visa for Vietnam and dealt with all of the paperwork and on top of all of that is an absolute pleasure to communicate with! I cannot recommend this company enough- I will be using them again for any travels through Asia and have already sent their details to several friends looking to travel in the region.

A holiday company who deserve to do well

During February and March this year (2019) we had the most wonderful holiday for 43 days travelling through Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos. In 2018 I contacted Tuan of Absolute Asia Travel and he put together a programme for a personal tour for us. Over a few weeks we discussed by email and “Skype calls” the itinerary, to see as much as possible. So much was included - we would never have thought of the Vietnamese Cooking Class, but had a super morning there and really enjoyed eating lunch of all the items we prepared. Even my husband was amazed at his cooking abilities as he never tries anything like that at home! Another was our visit to the Organic Rice Farm – so informative and great fun. I could go on and on, it was just so wonderful. Every driver and guide looked after us so well and vehicles were of a high standard and we were given really informative visits to all the main tourist places visiting the Cu Chi tunnels, Angkor Temples, the Killing Fields etc. Even when we had to re-schedule as my husband had to get to a clinic for medical attention, it was sorted out so efficiently. I was so thankful I had booked through Absolute Asia Travel as many of our British companies I’m sure would not have been so competent at a time like that. Thank you Tuan for all your kindness and expert travel organisational skills. I am now telling all our friends of your company and I hope your business flourishes as it really deserves to.

We toured Vietnam, coming up with our own proposed itinerary, asking Mr Tuan and his team at Absolute Asia to work out the details. From the beginning of emailing back and forth with questions and ideas, Mr Tuan was quick to respond, thorough and detail oriented. They organized airport pickups, drivers and English speaking guides, recommendations as to tours (including really great lunch spots), very nice hotels in good locations with great breakfasts, internal Vietnam flights, and the junk boat overnight booking and transportation to Halong Bay, all this at a fair price and all went smoothly. Our family of 5 went to Vietnam over the holidays. Did a full tour from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City, with a stop in beautiful Hoi An. Great tours of all places, wonderful hotels (all luxury levels!). The food at the hotels and all the restaurants that were included was incredible. Sen was great and so helpful during the whole experience. Drivers were punctual and experienced with busy city traffic. Everyone from Absolute Asia Travel was so friendly and helpful. We loved the Jack Tran Farming and Fishing tour in Hoi An. Wonderful experience overall!

Best of Malaysia including Borneo

Thanks Tuan for an impeccable itinerary of Malaysia including Sarawak and Sabah. We had a great time in Malacca, Kuala Lumpur, penang, Langkawi, Kuching, Mulu, Kota Kinabalu and sandakan, apart from the two stopovers in Singapore which reminds me of the place where Asia meets the West. We had a packed schedule with 8 internal flights in order to savour the whole peninsula of Malaysia and a taste of the rustic Borneo with its enormous potential.

Booked a Vietnam and Cambodia trip with…

Booked a Vietnam and Cambodia trip with Sen in April 2019. In the planning stage, she was eager to call and make amendments that I suggested and make other recommendations. Everything ran smoothly. When an internal flight was delayed for many hours, Sen arranged another flight at a more suitable time. She also called and emailed during the trip to ensure that things were okay and gave frequent reminders of the next items on my schedule.

Active Vietnam holiday with beach break 20 Days

Visited Hanoi, Sapa region, boat on Lan Ha Bay, Hoi An and Phu Quoc. Great arranged activities, local guides and logistics and timing of all 21 pick-up of transportations. Well selected hotels with excellent service and locations. When we wanted a change in our next day activity this was managed perfectly, also helped us manage a double charge of our credit card. During our stay in Vietnam they responded on phone and mail with excellent response time. It saved us alot of time and effort to have Absolute Asia Travel manage our trip, we will do it again.

We went with Absolute Asia for a 12 days Vietnam tour including 3days 2 night cruise in Halong Bay. All our guide were very knowledgeable, friendly with good sense of humor. The foods were very delicious, transportation was fantastic especially our 1st driver in Ho Chin Minh. The whole trip was superb but our highlight was Hoi An - the lanterns was so beautiful and colourful. We will definitely come back to Vietnam and will be using Absolute Asia travel. Tom & Lin

Outstanding service from first pre-trip…

Outstanding service from first pre-trip contact to final day of our family's 2 week trip to Vietnam. Sen (our travel agent) made the entire experience very easy. She kept in contact with us and the contracted guides & hotels throughout our stay. We had not a single glitch the entire time. Highly recommended. Tip: Make sure you schedule some days of "down time," meaning no tour. The tour days are very full, and it's a lot to take-in.

Very good travel partner.

We enjoyed our trip to Vietnam. It’s a beautiful country which offers a lot of diversity and a lot of good food! Our journey was organized by Huyen of Absolute Asia Travel. As a local expert, we had full confidence in her expertise. She gave us the freedom to change our plans frequently and we booked some of our hotels by ourselves. Communication went very good and she contacted us personally during our stay. She informed us in advance about the delay of our domestic flight from Hanoi to Hue. The drivers were very proficient. They took us safely through the hectic traffic, were always on time and their car was comfortable and clean. The guides spoke fluently English, they were helpful and enthousiastic. Booking with AAT gave us a secure feeling for travelling through Vietnam from north to south. Many thanks to everybody who joined us and helped us to make this vacation unforgetable.

Excellent service from start to finish

Excellent service from start to finish! I booked a 3D/2N tour from Hanoi to PuLuong and everything went very well: smooth on-time transfers, nice hotel, good guide constantly taking care of travelers. On top of it I had online support always available to help me with information and adjustments. Highly recommended!

Excellent planning and a very good value! Our 34 day trip went flawlessly. Lots of good suggestions were offered but Absolute Asia always took our input and applied it to the final itinerary. The guides were knowledgeable and friendly. Would absolutely use them again if going to the area.

I highly recommend Absolute Asia

We had a 2 week holiday in Vietnam arranged by Tuan. The holiday was originally booked for April 2020 and then Covid hit. Absolute Asia were very good and kept the booking open for us until we were eventually able to travel in October 2022. Tuan at Absolute Asia was very communicate and very helpful in arranging everything. Once we made it to Vietnam everything was amazing! The itinerary was great, the standard of accomodation really good and we had a great guide, Vinh, for our tour of Northern Vietnam

Excellent company

Excellent company. They organised our first 10 days in northern Vietnam. They listened to our requests managed to fit in everything we asked for, with some great suggestions and recommendations. We had the same driver and guide got most of our trip and they were great fun and very helpful. I would certainly use Absolutely Asia again.

We visited Vietnam in January using…

We visited Vietnam in January using Absolute Asia through Evaneos. From the start we were in touch with Huyen who put a personalised tour together for us within our budget. Very flexible and able to adapt here and there to our personal needs. We had two lovely guides in the North and the South legs of our tour. Exceptionally high quality transport, everything on time, and guides very friendly. We were able to contact Huyen via whatsap with any questions and she would message us too to check how we were doing. We didnt have any problems but if we had, Im confident they would have been able to deal with most things!! Thank you so much. Use this company, you will have a great experience of Vietnam. A beautiful country

2 weeks in Vietnam and Cambodia

We are 4 adults over 60yrs who travelled to Vietnam for 1 week and Cambodia for 1 week. We prepared the detailed itinerary together with the agency to make sure we had a bit longer at each place and had the hotels we like. The final proposal was excellent. The logistics were well coordinated so the travelling was stress free. The guides were excellent. The meals selected by our guide Tham in Vietnam and Charity in Cambodia were fantastic. The only slightly negative thing was we could have been better prepared for our homestay visit if we had been informed about the expectations of the school-we could have had something about Norway to show the class. All in all a wonderful experience.

We had a great itinerary for our 10 day…

We had a great itinerary for our 10 day visit to Vietnam. Everything worked well and I wouldn't change a thing. Our guides were interesting, knowledgeable and punctual. They knew exactly what was happening when and made sure we did. They were good at making sure we had as much or as little information as we wanted. The hotels were all slightly different from each other and very good. The restaurants chosen for us were very good too and we probably wouldn't have found them on our own. Absolute Asia Travel were easy to work with, especially with some last minute changes and I would use them again.

Absolute Asia Travel provided us with a 7 day non-trekking itinerary in the mountainous far North East in Vietnam.Our English speaking driver/guide Mr Son was highly experienced and from the area and passionate about the land and it's people. We were safe & really comfortable travelling in the SUV. There was every opportunity to be as active as we wanted, photograph the spectacular scenery, mingle in local markets, visit minority tribe villages and eat local foods. This trip exceeded my expectations and it was a pleasure to see and learn so much. I would highly recommend travelling with this company.

Absolute Asia organised a 2 week tour for us from the north to south of Vietnam. All went very smoothly. They were very helpful in organising the itinerary and all the arrangements worked perfectly. We were very impressed with Absolute Asia Travel. The itinerary was exactly what we were looking for and our knowlegable guide was brilliant. He had good english and drove the BMW SUV safely and comfortably. Everything was better than expected and I have no hesitation in recommending this tour company

Cambodia, Laos, and Thailand

Tuan did a wonderful job of organizing a 19-day, multi- country trip in July 2018. We already had some places in mind that we wanted to visit and Tuan made helpful suggestions and was flexible with any changes we wanted to make to the itinerary. He was very responsive to any questions (and we had a lot) and was transparent with all fees. Our guides in each city (and country) were waiting for us at the airport and our drivers were very safe, courteous and friendly. Our guides in each country were knowledgable, personable, and enthusiastic. Along with the history and culture of each place we visited, the local guides shared their personal experiences, which gave you a deeper experience of each place you were visiting. We will definitely be using Tuan again. Thank you for all of your hard work in organizing such wonderful trip.

I booked a 10 day vacation with…

I took a 10 day vacation with Evaneous March 4-13 , 2019, for the area around Hanoi , Halong Bay , Ninh Binh, Tam Coc and an overstay at a National Park, Poulong . Overall the trip components and content were excellent. Too bad the weather put a damper on things, excuse the pun , on a few days. Drivers and the Guides were very polite, informed, knowledgeable and spoke understandable English. They were excellent, all five of them. The downside is that the individualslized components of the trip were a bit disorganized, we were not completely sure of the agenda and at times pickups were supposed to be by a bus or a minivan at the very least, but got picked up on a scooter and I had big luggage. They made up for it by offering me an upgraded room which I appreciated. The other thing is that we could have avoided so many return trips to Hanoi if the itinerary was better laid out. Last but not least, I believe the overall trip is a bit pricey. I recommend it but I also recommend a more tailored route to avoid so many return trips to Hanoi.
