Enjoy the unique view of Chania from above 1350m and meet the wildlife of Crete with our 4×4 Jeeps, driven by knowledgeable English speaking escorts. Our amazing off-road adventure starts crossing a valley full of orange trees, avocado’s and vegetable gardens . Climbing up the foot of the White Mountains and passing through Cretan villages , we surely get the feeling of mountainous Crete before we have our first stop for a coffee. Coffee or mountain tea will be offered for free to our guests enjoying the village life far away from mass tourism. We continue our tour following the off road route up to the shepherd’s hut “Mitato ”, far away from touristic areas, where only a 4 wheel driver can approach.

Magnificent panoramic views of northern Crete will accompany us and if we get lucky eagles and wild goats will show up and give us a very good reason for some extra photo stops. A small rocky road will lead us up to our trip’s highest point, 1350 meters in altitude , in the heart of the White Mountains of Crete, where you will find out all about the  lifestyle of a shepherd , where the famous Cretan “ Graviera” cheese is produced and we explore an original Shepherd’s hut “Mitato”.

Next stop is to a small traditional family-run tavern in Therissos village where we will be welcomed by the owner and introduced  to Cretan cuisine with plenty of food and of course warm Cretan hospitality .

Return to Chania follows through the amazing Therissos gorge!

Went for Cretan Mountain tours as it seemed to have everything we wanted to do in one day. It was very authentic and this was as much a cultural tour as Cretan history lesson. We had cheese, olive oil and wine tasting along with a gorgeous Cretan lunch. Thoroughly enjoyed the day and the guide and would highly recommend them.

Breathtaking Sunset Quad Safari Tour Experience

The magical sunset safari tour  (Half-day adventure) will cover a total of  70km and take approximately 5 hours

We start from our main office in Hersonissos. After the instructions from the very professional guide Andreas on how to operate and use the Quads, we will go straight to the mountain. Using the tiny road (no traffic) so you can try steering the Quad, accelerating, and braking. Our journey begins.

Drive-thru 7 small and beautiful traditional villages, gorges, and olive groves, pass by little farms- stables with goats and sheep, if we will be lucky to see some wild horses, the Sfentili lake to the top of the mountain with the company of eagles, taste a shot of the authentic Cretan tsikoudia with fruits or some small snacks until the magnificent nature’s magical and special moment, sunset on the Beach.

Starting time: 15:30 Approx. return time: 20:30

You should take Drivers license, sunglasses, sun protection, and a small bottle of water.

Absolut empfehlenswert ! Wer ein bisschen Action mag und von allem etwas sehen möchte ist hier genau richtig. Unsere Erwartungen sind deutlich übertroffen wurden. Es wurde von allem etwas geboten, wunderschöne Berge, kleinste Dörfer, tollen Olivenbaumplantagen und ein wunderschöner Sonnenuntergang am Strand. Der ganze Ablauf und die Strecke waren perfekt organisiert. Es wurde auch genau an den richtigen Punkten kleine Pausen für Fotos gemacht. Wir würden die Tour genau so wieder buchen und können sie mit besten Gewissen weiter empfehlen.

Die Quad Tour war ein Highlight unseres Urlaubs! Wir haben mit einer größeren Gruppe die 4 Stunden Tour gemacht und sehr viel von der Insel inklusive Sonnenuntergang am Meer gesehen. Der Guide war sehr nett, wir haben die Zeit wirklich sehr genossen! Sehr empfehlenswert

Unforgettable Sunset Quad Safari with Go Xplore – A Must-Experience in Crete!”

My husband and I are no strangers to the thrill of a quad safari with Go Xplore, but this year their new Sunset Quad Safari took our adventure to a whole new level!

The sunset safari took us on a different route, with breath-taking landscapes that left us in awe. The trek through olive groves, quaint villages, the scent of the mountain herbs and the jaw-dropping mountain views were simply mesmerizing.

Andreas, our ‘guide extraordinaire’, makes the experience both relaxed and fun with his friendly vibe and local insights, and we always enjoy meeting the other riders.

Halfway through the safari, we stopped at a village cafe for snacks and a raki (or two) – absolutely necessary fuel for our quad adventure!

One of the highlights of the trip was the final stop of the safari, at a beautiful beach where we watched the sun setting over the sea, and fed ducks and turtles by the water. It was a serene and unforgettable moment.

To anyone seeking a unique and thrilling adventure in Crete, the Sunset Quad Safari with Go Xplore is an absolute must. If you’re not already in love with Crete, this trip will make sure you fall head over heels for this beautiful land!

Ich habe die Safari Quad Tour bei Sonnenuntergang gemacht. Es war Perfekt! Der Mann der die Tour geleitet hat, war extrem nett und hat alles super erklärt. Man hat gemerkt er ist einheimisch und er kennt sich gut aus. Die Quads waren sehr angenehm und leicht zu bedienen. Die Pausen waren perfekt und man konnte wirklich schöne Ausblicke kriegen. Das Essen in der Taverne war köstlich und inkludiert. Man kriegt einen Einblick in das echte Leben auf Kreta wobei man in kleinen Dörfern Pausen macht. Meiner Meinung nach die beste Tour die man machen kann! Unendlich netter Leiter und ein wunderschönes aber auch Adrenalin reiches Erlebnis, dass ich nie vergessen werde! ☀️☀️☀️
