Knowing when is the right time to say goodbye isn't easy.
As pet owners ourselves who have loved and lost our own animal companions, we understand and empathise with how difficult it is to be faced with the impending loss of a pet and are here to guide you through the process.
We believe this final time should be calm, unhurried, peaceful, and pain-free.
A time to say goodbye to your pet in a compassionate and dignified way.
At Ctvets, we understand why so many owners wish to say goodbye to their beloved pet in the comfort of their own Home.
The many benefits of Home Euthanasia include:
Your pet will be most comfortable at home, you will be most confortable at home, the procedure can happen at the pet's favourite area, all family and friends can be present to say goodbye, your privacy will be a priority, the vet will take all the time you need and will provide counsel, what to expect.
"A lady from CT vets recently came to euthanasia our disabled cat. It was a very distressing time. The lady vet was utterly professional, supportive, and explained everything so well. The terrible procedure was conducted very smoothly and softly, and in a perfect manner. The level of service received was exceptional. Thank you CT vets."
When we visit your pet and once you are ready, we will gently give a small injection of calming sedation so that they drift into a peaceful sleep and we encourage you to stay with them during this time.
Once they are no longer aware of their surroundings, you may decide whether to stay with them or leave the room.
We can then help you with the aftercare options
If you have a suitable garden and would like your pet to have a home burial, we can advise you on what to do next.
Alternatively, you may prefer a communal cremation with no ashes returned or an individual cremation with your pet’s ashes returned to you.
You may wish to keep the ashes in a special urn, have a small memorial keepsake, a small fur clipping, or have a clay pawprint made so please let us know if you have a different preference.
We believe that saying goodbye to a precious pet should be respectful and unhurried.
A peaceful end not driven by time but by pure love and compassion so whatever your wishes, we want you to feel comfortable with your pet’s care, therefore, please do not hesitate to ask if you have any special requests.
We are available to provide euthanasia at your own home at your convenience.
