What to Wear and Bring During an Airboat Tour 

Our airboat tours are year-round, which means we ride through different types of weather and environments. It can be hot, buggy, rainy, etc. Airboat tours are a lot of fun, no matter what time of year you decide to go.   

If you plan on taking an airboat tour in the  spring, it  can get  pretty hot  with temperatures in  the 80s. It’s a good idea to wear shorts, tank tops, and sleeveless clothing. You may want to bring a light jacket or cardigan if the wind makes you cold.   

The summer is very hot and humid down here , so it’s a good idea to wear light clothing during the summer months. It can rain a lot in the summer, so you may want to bring a rain jacket and sneakers with you to keep dry.   

The fall is cooler than summer but there are still plenty of warm days. You may decide to wear longer sleeves or pants depending on the day but try to choose clothing that won’t make you too hot or too cold.   

Winter isn’t cold in the Everglades, but it is a lot more comfortable. You may want to bring heavier clothing to keep warm from the wind on the ride.

If you’re visiting South Florida, one thing that is a must-see is the Florida Everglades. This unique area, actually a slow-moving grassy river, contains an abundance of wildlife from plants to animals. There are even endangered species that call the Everglades home which you may get a glimpse of while there, such as the leatherback turtle. What to Bring on a Daytime Tour of the Florida Everglades

If you plan to take a  daytime airboat tour  of the Everglades, there are several must-have items you should bring with you. This includes bug spray, sunglasses, sunscreen, and protective sun wear. • Hats and hair ties: One thing you’ll notice immediately is the amount of wind. Make sure your hair is secured by hair ties, clips, and hats to keep your locks from tangling and your vision unobstructed.

Don’t Forget These Essentials

Of course, almost any adventure in Florida calls for these basics.

• Sunscreen . The Florida sun can be extreme. Pack a strong sunscreen or even a breathable fishing shirt to protect your skin from the powerful rays.

If you're hoping to see the Everglades by boat, but want something a little quieter than an airboat ride, consider this cruise. Departing from Port of the Islands Marina in Naples, this 45-foot passenger catamaran glides across the Faka Union Canal while guides share information about the history and ecology of the area. Tourgoers report spotting lots of birds, turtles, dolphins and manatees. They also call out the insightful crew and clean, comfortable boat as highlights.

Cruises are offered Monday to Friday at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Everglades Florida Adventures also offers kayak and canoe rentals.

Best Gear for Capturing Wildlife in Everglades National Park

GoPro Hero 7 Black  – This GoPro has much better color and image stabilization than prior versions. Camera  – My Cannon EOS M6 is a mirrorless camera that is very lightweight but still delivers professional quality pictures. Camera Lens Hood  – I got an off brand: JJC ABS Reversible Lens Hood for Canon EF-M 18-150mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM. Wildlife Camera Lens  – My shots were taken with an iPhone or 18-150mm lens. Here’s the lightweight wildlife lens I wish I had: Canon EF 400mm f/4 DO IS II USM Lens (weighs 2.65 lbs) Small Binoculars  – I have a small pair of Bushnell birding binoculars but I would have preferred the Bushnell H20 Waterproof/Fogproof Compact Roof Prism Binocular.

Comfortable and Element Appropriate Footwear 

Moisture Wicking Socks  – SmartWool socks work great because they wick moisture and are anti microbial. Try one of their short light weight socks for hotter temps. Are you looking for the best ways to see the Everglades National Park?

If you’re looking to visit the Everglades National Park, you might be wondering what the best way to see the Everglades is? Should you visit the national park yourself, should you drive there, or take a tour?

The Everglades is a really unique National Park in the USA, and it’s unlike anywhere else you’ll visit. There are stunning lakes, surrounded by mysterious mangroves. In the water you’ll find herons, egrets, stilts, ducks, wood storks, spoonbills, alligators, otters, and a variety of fish too. It’s a hub of nature and animals – and when you visit the Everglades National Park, you’ll get a chance to see all of these.

Airboat Tour

First on my list of the best way to see the Everglades… An airboat tour!

An airboat tour is the classic Everglades experience and it’s something you definitely HAVE to do if you’re visiting. An airboat tour is how you’ll see the Gators up close in the wild (as well as lots of other wildlife), and a good airboat tour guide will make sure you spot those gators, so make sure you choose a good tour. During your airboat ride you’ll zoom through the open air amongst the Everglades, through the water itself. It’s fun filled and adrenaline filled too!

It really is the most popular and one of the best way to see the Everglades and I really recommend this one  as it’s not only won awards, but has loads of positive reviews too. I always look at the reviews when it comes to Everglades tours, because that’s how you know you’ve found a good tour operator.

Walk the Anhinga Trail

Next on my list of the best way to see the Everglades, walking the Anhinga Trail .

If you want to do some walking around the Everglades National Park, you can actually walk as well as do a boat tour. If you’re spending a couple of days in the area, or if you want to pack your day full of activities, you can do the Anhinga Trail as well as a boat tour. The trail isn’t too difficult, and it’s only a mile long (just under actually).

The trail starts at the Royal Palm Visitor Centre , which is really easy to find, and there are toilets and refreshments available there too – for after you finish your walk! There are loads of amazing views along the walk and you’ll get the chance to spot animals and birds too.

Take a walking tour

Next on my list of the best way to see the Everglades, is taking a walking tour with a professional tour guide.

If you want to take a slightly more ‘guided’ approach to the Everglades, but you still want to explore the Everglades by foot – taking a walking tour is a great idea and means you get to see the landscape with a professional tour guide on hand to point out anything notable and interesting.

This walking tour includes a 2 hour guided walk, taking you completely off the “tourist” map – and giving you an insight into the local area, the nature, the eco-systems and the animals too. You’ll have you guide on hand to spot anything interesting, and they’ll also be able to give you loads of interesting information along the way too.

Go kayaking

Kayaking is one of the best way to see the Everglades, and one of the most memorable too. It’s one of the most amazing ways to see the everglades and it’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience. When you’re kayaking in the Everglades you’re not just watching the wildlife, you’re part of it. You’re so close to everything, and it’s a real rush! It’s also one of the most eco-friendly ways to explore the Everglades too – so if you’re trying to be more conscious of the environment, this is definitely the tour you should go for.

I recommend this tour , as you get comfortable kayaks (more important than you think!), and you also get a really lengthy time exploring (3 hours!). The tour guide who takes you out is also a Florida Master Naturalist guide, certified by the National Park and licensed by the US Coast Guard – so you know you’re in safe hands. It also has a review score of  4.9 / 5  and that’s from 126 Reviews (which is pretty amazing). You can click here to book tickets. 

Do a photography safari

If you love photography and you want to make sure you capture some incredible shots during your time in the Everglades, take a photo safari! There are so many stunning things to capture photos of in the Everglades , and a photo safari is a tour specifically designed to give you the best possible photo opportunities. If you love taking photos, this is probably the best way to see the Everglades for you.

I recommend this photo safari tour , it’s a private tour, in a small boat too – which means you can gain access to areas larger boats aren’t allowed, or can’t reach. It’s also 2.5 hours long – which means you have loads of time to take incredible images, and don’t feel rushed!

Find a tour that does everything

If you can’t decide between all of the above, book yourself onto a tour that includes a boat tour, a safari, an animal show and a walking tour. This is the best option I found when I was looking for all-inclusive options. The tour lasts 9.5 hours, and lets you really explore everything this area has to offer. You’ll have an expert nature guide with you all day, and you’ll experience a wildlife drive, a nature walk, a delicious lunch, an airboat ride and a boat cruise all in the ticket price. Take the trolley

Last on my list of the best way to see the Everglades… Take the Trolley!

If you heading into the Everglades National Park from Homestead (in the south), you can actually take the trolley in. The Homestead National Parks Trolley is a free way to see the Everglades and it’s a guided tour too (for free!) so you really can’t lose.  The free trolley ride is only offered at weekends, and it’s available from late November through early May.

Kayak & Bike Rentals In Everglades City

You’ll be happy to know we offer Kayak and Bike Rentals in Everglades City year round!  Whether you’re staying in the area for an extended period or just here for the day we got you covered. We can outfit you with Single or Tandem Kayaks, Bikes and Camping Gear for all your Everglades adventures!

    Bike Rentals – $25 Per Day

– pick up after 8 am – drop off by 5 pm, – overnight & multi-day rentals available, everglades kayak rentals.

We also offer Kayak Rentals in Everglades City for our guest that are planning an adventure of their own.  However, we ask that you know where you’re going ahead of time and have a float plan for safety.  It is easy to get lost here and hard to be found so do your research first.  The safest, most popular Kayak Routes near Everglades City are Halfway Creek & Turner River.   We can also deliver your boats as far as Port Of The Islands Marina.   and East River in Fakahatchee. We  have very sturdy Native & Old Town kayaks and you can choose from both single or tandem boats.  Life vests, paddles and pick up drop off are all included.

Tandem kayak – $80 , dry box – $20, cooler w/ice – $15, camping gear – outfitting.

If you are planning a camping trip in the Everglades or 10,000 Islands we can help you with your planning, transportation  and all your outfitting needs.  Island camping is most popular here and we can set you up with everything you’ll need and also provide motorboat transportation to your campsite.  There are also several upland campsites in The Big Cypress Preserve that you can drive to if that’s what you preferer.  We’ve been doing this for 13 years now and have thought of everything you’ll need while you’re here.  Just let us know what type of  camping location works best for you and we’ll make it happen!

Swift makes a total of 16 costume changes throughout the show and wears 8 different pairs of shoes.

During Taylor Swift’s epic 3 1/2 hour Eras Tour set, she goes through 16 different costumes.

The music artist makes so many costume changes that some Swifties, what her fanbase calls themselves, created an app called Swift Alert that includes a guessing contest for each stop of the tour. Users make guesses on what outfits she will wear for each set and earn points when they are correct.

Excluding the “Speak Now” era, Swift tends to showcase one designer per set, with different versions from the same designer throughout the tour.

Swift does stick to Christian Louboutin shoes throughout the duration of the show — donning eight different pairs throughout the concert.

Here’s a look at all the variations the pop star wears throughout the show.

The bodysuits are hand-beaded and intricate designs by Donatella Versace, according to Harper’s Bazaar.

Taylor Swift’s ‘Fearless’ dresses

Swift’s first major costume change comes by way of dresses that all feature fringe, so when she spins, the fringe does too. Each of the four designs she’s worn so far are Roberto Cavalli, designed by designer Fausto Puglisi.

Taylor Swift’s ‘Red’ T-shirt, jumper and cloak

Swift dons a jumper under a white graphic tee that fans have clocked as a clue for what Swift is doing next. Last spring, the red letters on the shirt each night spelled out when “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)” would be released.

She also wears a signature black fedora — a look she used in her “22″ music video in 2013. Each show, Swift selects a fan to share a moment with and give the Gladys Tamez hat to during the show. Most often, her handlers select children to experience the shining moment, but she has given the hat to TikTok artists who have gone viral for Swift-related content.

After performing “22,” Swift’s dancers help her take off the tee to reveal a sparkly sequined red and black jumper.

At the end of the “Red” set, the lights onstage go dark and a spotlight uncovers Swift clad in a sparkling floor length Ashish red and black robe. Swift asks fans in the audience if they have 10 minutes to spare for the full 10-minute version of the tragic breakup song “All Too Well.” Swift proceeds to sing nonstop for an impressive 10 minutes before sinking into the stage to prep for the next segment.

Taylor Swift’s ‘reputation’ bodysuit

Swift has worn the same outfit for the “reputation” set for all 100 shows so far — a Roberto Cavalli catsuit with swirling snakes. Fans believe the day she switches will be a huge hint that she will be releasing “Taylor’s Version” of the beloved revenge album.

Taylor Swift’s ‘1989′ skirt and top set

Swift appears to have updated the style for the “1989″ set starting in the European leg of her tour. The original Roberto Cavalli style featured beading and matching tops, skirts and boots. Now the outfit often includes different colored tops and skirts and even mismatching boots.

The new Roberto Cavalli style also features tops and skirts with a different look than the original fits. Like everything Swift does, eagle-eyed fans noticed it might be an easter egg. When her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, was in the audience, Swift wore a red and yellow set, which fans assume represents Kelce’s NFL team he plays for — the Kansas City Chiefs.

Taylor Swift’s surprise song dresses

Swift plays two surprise songs during each show. Fans have no idea what era the song comes from or what song it could possibly be until Swift starts singing. Before adding the “The Tortured Poets Department” set, Swift sang the surprise songs just after the “1989” set, undergoing a costume change onstage, with a ruffled dress layered over her “1989″ top and skirt. Now that it’s in a different section, Swift has opted for flowy chiffon Roberto Cavelli gowns instead.

Swift begins the final set of the show wearing an oversized sparkling tee featured in six different colors. Each one comes from Oscar de la Renta, as well as the furry lavender coat she wears for “Lavender Haze.”

Taylor fever is sweeping the nation, with the Eras Tour kicking off in Edinburgh tomorrow (7th June).

The international superstar was spotted in London to support her bestie Cara Delevingne in  Cabaret  at KitKatClub in the West End before she heads up north to kick off her UK tour.

The UK Eras Tour will begin in Edinburgh tomorrow until the 9th of June, before heading to Liverpool’s Anfield Stadium on the 13th to the 15th of June and Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on the 18th of June.

London Swifties will get the chance to see Taylor perform at Wembley between the 21st and 23rd of June and then again for the final leg of the Eras Tour between the 15th and 20th of August.

All of Taylor Swift's Eras Tour Outfits So Far

Taylor Swift is back on tour and making her way through Europe after the first very successful leg of her North American tour and visits to South America, Japan, Singapore, and Australia. Since the Eras Tour started, Swift has released a whole new album with The Tortured Poets Department . The brand new material seems to have inspired the wardrobe department, because Swift has debuted a number of different looks from the first era of the Eras Tour during her concerts in France, Portugal, and Madrid.

The singer has kept to her classic style, favoring sparkling materials, bright colors, and flowing skirts, while using designers like Versace, Roberto Cavalli, and Oscar De La Renta for her coutore looks. She’s also shown off new versions of her older outfits, changing up the colors so she can have some variety on the road. And there are some special ensembles just for TTPD . Under the jacket is a custom Versace bodysuit in iridescent purple, though on the second night, it was a shade of gold.

While singing “Enchanted,” Swift wore another sparkling ensemble, a ball-gown from Nicole + Felicia Couture . The wide skits was covered in flowery appliqués.

On the second, night she had a similar silhouette from up Zuhair Murad Couture in a warm pink with sequins shooting down the skirt from the bodice.

Her black and red asymmetrical bodysuit by Roberto Cavalli was covered in a snake pattern.

In Las Vegas, Swift debuted a beaded Oscar De La Renta custom bodysuit , dancing to “Vigilante Sh*t” with her backup and a very noticeable garter belt in matching royal blue.

For the long performance of“All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor's Version),” Swift was in a sparkling red trench coat over a matching bodysuit and carrying a red guitar.

Bringing back nostalgia for her “22” music video, Swift wore a shirt that red “Not A Lot Going On At The Moment” and a black Gladys Tamez hat. On the second night of the tour, she changed the t-shirt text to read, “Who's Taylor Swift Anyway? Ew.”

Another Roberto Cavalli custom two-piece set in magenta made an appearance.

And she wore an emerald green version of the look the second night, keeping up a pattern of slight variation from performance to performance.

Taylor Swift, 34, switched up one of her Eras Tour outfits while performing at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh, Scotland, on Saturday night, pairing short black gloves with her Vivian Westwood gown.

However, while the new addition complemented the glamorous “Tortured Poets Department” look, there was a simple explanation for the change: the cold weather.

After Taylor Nation highlighted the accessory on X (formerly Twitter) , one Swiftie quickly responded to the account, debunking any wild Easter egg theories.

“NEW BLACK GLOVES?!?,” they wrote. “Here’s my not-exciting theory: they’re for practical purposes. It’s chilly in Edinburgh. TTPD is long and she dances very little until Broken Heart. Her hands need to be warm to avoid another acoustic-set hand cramp. So, gloves. But ✨fashionable✨ ones! 🫶”

Swift likely could have used the wrist-length pair during her Friday night performance at the same arena, when she admitted to the crowd that her hands were “frozen.”

According to BBC , while the pop star initially paused during a mash-up of “Would’ve, Could’ve, Should’ve” and “I Know Places” so that a fan could receive medical attention, she needed to stop again shortly after, this time for herself.

“Oh God! Hand cramp!” Swift told the audience before massaging her palm. “I’m so sorry, everyone, this has never happened before, but my hand is frozen, I’m just going to warm it. I’m so embarrassed. My hand’s like a claw!”

The Sun also reported that, on the same night, two dancers wearing long butterfly wings were nearly blown off stage by the wind.

Still, Friday night’s show contained some happier moments, too.

Swift got to witness a real-life love story when two fans got engaged at the concert.

“I love performing this entire show in the sunlight ’cause I’m pretty sure I just, like, saw somebody get engaged over here,” she told the crowd, as seen in  a clip shared on Threads .

“Congratulations, wow!” she continued, sharing her excitement. “I just saw that whole thing. Man, that’s amazing … Thanks for doing that at my concert; that’s a big moment!”
