Pop singer Fletcher added 2024 tour dates.

After the release of her upcoming album, In Search Of The Antidote — scheduled for release on March 22, new concerts are planned at North American venues coast-to-coast in September and October. The opening acts on select dates will be The Beaches, Slayyyter, and / or Maude Latour. Fletcher is currently on tour in Brazil before heading over to Europe.

When do Fletcher 2024 tour tickets go on sale and what is the presale code?

For the new dates, the general public on-sale begins as early as March 22. Presales for Artist begin March 19. American Express / Citi / Chase cardmember, Spotify, Live Nation, LN Mobile App., Ticketmaster, and local venues / radio presales will follow. Tickets for the previously announced shows are now on sale. Keep in mind, each date is different and details are subject to change.

Fletcher was supposed to play in Stockholm in March 2020, but her show and the whole European tour were among the first Covid cancellations back then. So Europe has been waiting for Cari Fletcher for a very long time, and the emotions were high at the European tour premiere in Stockholm.

The sun was out and the concert-goers were gathering at the waterside in front of the venue ( Debaser Strand ) already very early in the afternoon. You could hear lots of English and Finnish spoken among the early birds, so it was evident the fans had travelled quite some distances to be able to see Fletcher .

The most ardent fans had gotten their hands on the limited Meet & Greet tickets and were let in early. The American organizers had emailed beforehand with instructions to wear facemasks regardless of local regulations. And there was to be no physical contact, no hugging, no handshakes, no nothing… The fans were of course in for a treat, when all those rules were broken and they could get a warm hug from Cari, exchange a few words with her, and get their pictures taken.

Fletcher had brought along the übercool Upsahl as support, and she opened with a high-energy half-hour set of her perfect pop tunes brimming with attitude. Personally I have a weak spot for cool girls singing about rather dark themes set to catchy melodies, sprinkled with some la-la-la’s. So check out Upsahl’s Thriving , which is a prime example of this. The crowd probably didn’t really need much warming up, but Upsahl did a great job of it.

When it was finally time for Fletcher to take to the stage, she started the evening with her most upbeat pop offerings Girls, girls, girls , Forever and Cherry . The #wlw energy was strong and the whole crowd was singing along, not just the most starry-eyed girls in the front-row. But already in the second song Cari had to stop the show as someone in the front was feeling faint. Cari personally saw to it that everybody who needed it got some water, before the show could go on.

As the show went on, it became more and more evident how much all these songs and Fletcher as an artist mean to so many people, who now found their loving tribe and a safe space at the concert. I’m pretty sure many friendships were formed that evening.

The sing-along continued from song to song (except maybe for the previously unreleased ones), and the crowd could carry on singing not just the choruses but also the verses, when Cari turned her mic to the audience. It was literally All Love all evening.

All of the S(ex) Tapes song s turned up the temperature further, and it was literally getting rather hot and sweaty in the intimate hall. Things got slightly chaotic when it was time for Cari to consensually sign some b**bs (or arms for those who thought that more appropriate), and there was some pushing and shoving to get close enough. Not sure the security guys were quite prepared for that…

The big highlight had to be Bitter , which Fletcher sent out to the world via her Insta live while the crowd was singing their lungs out. That ended the set on an extra high note, but Fletcher was of course brought back for encores. She calmed the mood down by doing her unreleased For Cari on an acoustic guitar, and ended the evening with the rather chill Healing .

It was apparent, that Cari was touched by all the love shown to her in Stockholm, and that very many in the crowd were having the time of their lives, creating memories to last a life-time.

The Story So Far have shared details of a UK and European tour, set to take place later this year – find ticket details below.

The upcoming tour will comprise 13 shows across the UK and Europe, and kicks off with an opening slot at the Engine Rooms in Southampton on October 23. From there, seven more headline dates are scheduled for Bristol, Oxford, Glasgow, Newcastle and Norwich.

A slot at Outbreak festival is also listed amid the headline shows, taking place in Manchester on October 27, and the last of the UK dates are set for the O2 Institute in Birmingham and The Roundhouse in London on November 1 and 2 respectively.

From there, Parker Cannon, Kevin Geyer, Ryan Torf and Will Levy will head overseas for four gigs across Europe.

These include a show at the Trix venue in Antwerp on November 5, and continue with shows in Hamburg (6) and Cologne (7).  The final scheduled date of the 2024 autumn tour will be at the Melkweg venue in Amsterdam on November 8.

Support for all of the headline shows comes from Baltimore rockers Angel Du$t, and tickets go on sale tomorrow (Friday, May 17) at 10am. Visit here to buy yours and find a full list of tour dates below.

News of the upcoming UK and European tour comes in the run-up to The Story So Far releasing their new LP ‘I Want To Disappear’.

Set to arrive on June 21 via Pure Noise, it’ll mark the fifth studio album from the band, and features previously-released singles ‘Big Blind’ and ‘Letterman’ alongside seven brand new tracks.

Most recently, Parker Cannon and Co. shared the latest single from the project, ‘All This Time’ – a track which brings together the same catchy guitar riffs and immense drum fills that the group have become famed for over the years.

“These can and do take priority over playing, and that can feel divisive. It’s sometimes necessary though, to get to where you want to go.”

Geyer continued: “We were waiting for all the stars to align for our individual situations so that this record could be the priority, and that we had the time and space to make it happen in the way that we wanted to. We went through a lot as people, and as a band, to discover what was working about it, and we leaned into that.”

Canadian Taylor Swift fans are flying to Europe for cheaper concert tickets

Taking a trip to Europe to see Taylor Swift perform may not seem like an intuitive financial decision — but tickets to a concert in Canada are so expensive some fans are finding that's a better deal.

Bryan Kingston couldn't believe it when he snagged floor seats to an upcoming show in London, U.K., for $500 each on a resale website, when he had paid twice as much in Detroit last year.

"I found it was much cheaper," said the 40-year-old, who works in advertising in Hamilton, Ont.

"The difference in price actually paid for my flight to Europe."

He's still spending a sizeable sum. But for Kingston and other Swifties who can afford it, even with the cost of a flight, hotel and ticket, travelling for the concert may end up being better bang for their buck than seeing it in Canada.

He has friends heading to Scotland, Portugal and France, and said he couldn't pass up the opportunity to combine the concert with a vacation.

"It is honestly the best show I've ever been to in my life; otherwise, I wouldn't be making the trip."

Pop star supply and demand

Retail tickets for shows on Swift's record-setting Eras Tour in North America and Europe sold out almost instantly. Many then popped up on resale sites just as quickly. On StubHub, the cheapest seat to a Toronto concert in November right now is listed at $2,822. Yet the cost to get in the door in Stockholm this weekend is just a fraction of that price — $83.

Pascal Courty, an economics professor at the University of Victoria, suggests much of the disparity can be explained by basic economics. The European leg of Swift's tour boasts 51 shows across 18 cities, accommodating crowds of more than 40,000 each night.

"But the demand in some of these countries is not as strong," he said. "In Europe, compared to other artists, maybe she's not No. 1." 

Taylor Swift fans rush to snap up Toronto tickets

Courty says in Canada, the huge fan base compared to the limited number of shows  — at just nine — contributes to the steeper ticket prices on the secondary market.

"If Swift would give a concert every night in Toronto, at some point, the price of the tickets would be very low. It might take 12 concerts, it might take 18 concerts, but there's a point where the demand is going to be exhausted."

Resale restrictions

While fans in Europe may still face markups when buying resale tickets, governments there have been taking steps to address ticketing issues. In some countries , including Ireland, Portugal and Denmark, tickets cannot be resold for more than their original price. France has some of the strongest rules , where offenders can be fined thousands of euros.

Sam Shemtob, managing director of the Face-value European Alliance for Ticketing (FEAT), says this shift has made a difference.

"It's had a really positive effect. You see far fewer listings of tickets being resold for a profit, because the law is quite straightforward."

That's not the case in Canada, where there are no national regulations limiting how much profit a consumer can make when reselling a ticket. In this year's budget, the federal government pledged to crack down on ticket reseller practices that it said unfairly drive up prices, but offered few other details or timelines.

In Quebec, companies need permission to resell tickets above face value. Individuals, however, can still resell a ticket at any price they choose.

Fans like Julia Rawleigh from Calgary, who missed out on the initial sale, have been disappointed by what they call outrageous resale ticket prices.

"It was really frustrating when the concert tickets first dropped, and then immediately, you know, there were people selling them for thousands of dollars marked up," she said.

The 27-year-old restaurant manager decided to shake it off, instead making plans to see Taylor Swift's show in France.

"When we were able to get the Lyon tickets for $250 Canadian dollars, we were super excited. I don't even think we looked at where the seats were."

Laws that regulate the secondary market are difficult to enforce, according to Courty, who suggested people will always find a way to sell tickets at market value.

U.S. singer-songwriter Billie Eilish is trying to combat the issue during her upcoming tour by making tickets non-transferable, an option offered by Ticketmaster that all artists can choose to implement during their tours.

If fans who purchase tickets in Canada or the U.S. can't attend the show, they are only permitted to resell them on Ticketmaster at the original price paid. Details for the concert state that "the tour wants to give fans, not scalpers, the best chance to buy tickets at face value."

Ticketmaster, the dominant player in the live event industry, has also come under scrutiny during Swift's tour, after fumbling online pre-sales in the U.S. The U.S. Department of Justice is investigating  its parent company, Live Nation, over claims it is abusing its market power — though Ticketmaster denies it is responsible for high ticket prices.

Courty says the most effective solution is to make tickets nominative, where purchasers have their name linked directly to a ticket and then must provide matching identification, similar to the system for airline tickets.

"Then you can completely prevent ticket reselling for profits."
