Everything You'll Want to Know About Taylor Swift's Eras Tour Concert Film

Swifties rejoice: you can finally relive the Eras Tour in your living room.

he was tour

I am a die-hard Swiftie . Over the past decade of my life, I've analyzed her endless Easter eggs, had Taylor top my Spotify Wrapped for years, and you better believe I checked out the Eras Tour this summer. The concert was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. I made and traded friendship bracelets with fellow Swifties and sang every word to every song while I was at the show. I even went to the Eras Tour concert film and relived every second of the extravaganza.

Swift's highly anticipated concert flick premiered in theaters earlier this fall, and it smashed records. CNBC  reported  that it's the highest-grossing domestic concert film ever, bringing in between $95 million and $97 million. Recently, Swift announced that the Eras Tour will be coming to living rooms, as the film has been released for rent on several on-demand services.

If you got snubbed in that Ticketmaster debacle , or if you just want to relive the magic that was the Eras Tour, I've got you covered with all the important information you'll want to know before attending from the comfort of your own home.

For more entertainment-related fare, here are  10 things you can do to save money on streaming , and here are the best smart TVs of 2023 .

What is the Eras Tour?

Swift's stadium tour swept through more than a dozen US cities plus Mexico City this summer. The Eras Tour is a love letter to her impressive musical career and the fans who have seen her through it. The numbers indicate the tour draws massive public appeal. The tour is projected to gross $1 billion , including Swift's overseas tour next spring.

That billion dollars is, by all accounts, a fantastic measure of Swift's power, but it doesn't even account for the thousands of fans who attended her concerts from parking lots and bridges outside of the concert venues this year. Already, Swift's journey around the US has proved an economic boon to host cities.

So, what is the Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour concert film?

Filmed over her Los Angeles dates at the SoFi stadium, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour is a two-hour, 45-minute chronicle of her hit tour. For fans who are familiar with the tour, this raises some questions as to what has been cut from the film. The concert I attended ran for about 3 hours, but by the end of the tour, it was about three and a half hours long. Curious fans finally have their answers.

The film had its premiere on Oct. 11, and we finally know what's been cut. Be warned, I'm going to get into some major spoilers for the concert film, so if you want to be surprised while you watch, just skip this section.

It looks like Swift has nixed five songs from the setlist she performed the nights she recorded the film. Entertainment Weekly reports that the songs No Body, No Crime; Long Live; Wildest Dreams; The Archer and Cardigan were all cut from the concert film. Fans of Long Live do have some recompense; it plays over tour bloopers and videos of fans during the credits.

Of the six surprise songs she recorded (Swift performs these during the rotating acoustic portion of the show), the songs Our Song and You're On Your Own, Kid ended up making the final cut. Fans can also expect to see shortened costume changes and transitions between Swift's different eras in the film.

How long is Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour concert film in theaters?

Swift's concert film hit theaters worldwide on Oct. 13. According to Insider, the film had to be shown in theaters for four weeks following its release. Insider said Swift circumvented Hollywood studios and negotiated the film's distribution directly with AMC, allowing her to have more control. Time has reported that Swift's concert film has brought home an impressive $248.9 million at the box office, cementing itself as the highest-grossing concert film at the US box office. Given this accomplishment, it's safe to say the concert film will be hanging around theaters for a while.

How can I get Swift movie tickets?

You can buy tickets to the concert film where you would ordinarily buy tickets to most movies, either online or at an in-person box office.

Swift's website has links to sites where you can buy tickets through AMC, Regal, Cinemark and Fandango. You could check your local indie theater's website too, to see whether it's showing the concert film.

Fan reaction to ticket sales was swift (pardon the pun). Wanda Gierhart Fearing,  Cinemark 's chief marketing and content officer, told me that the company saw "frenzied traffic to [its] website and app the moment tickets went on sale" and that "we are ready for Swifties to be enchanted by this concert film in the unprecedented number of auditoriums we have booked to meet demand."

How much do tickets cost?

Adult tickets go for $19.89, which is a nod to the year of Swift's birth and the title of her fifth studio album, 1989. Fans also know that the album 1989 is about to get the Taylor's Version treatment, with the artist's rerecording of the album dropping 14 days after the film hits theaters. Seniors and children's tickets go for $13.13, a nod to Swift's lucky number.

Right now, it's unclear whether subscribers to paid theater subscriptions like Regal Unlimited will be able to use the deals available to them on tickets for this film, given the special pricing. In a FAQ on AMC's website, the company said that this film is excluded from the company's A-List program's reservation feature.

Cinemark confirmed to CNET that members of the Cinemark Movie Club can apply all standard benefits of the membership.

Can I treat this like a normal concert?

While a concert film can be exciting and almost feel like a real concert, it's best practice to be respectful of other theatergoers both in your showing and in other showings at the theater.

This doesn't mean you can't keep up with other Eras Tour practices, like wearing a fun costume based on Swift's songs and lyrics or making and trading friendship bracelets with other Swifties. You could even quietly sing along and dance in your seat, as long as you're considerate of viewers around you and don't interrupt others' viewing experience.

If you're attending the film at an AMC theater, then you're in luck. The company has provided you with guidelines for how to behave during the film -- and it all boils down to being respectful of those around you.

I saw the concert film at an indie theater, and in my experience, people were pretty quiet during the film. There was no singing loud enough for me to detect, and the only people who danced in my theater were several smaller children. Based on my experience, I recommend going in with the expectation of watching this film just like you would any other movie.

If you just have to sing and dance along to all of your favorite Taylor Swift hits (which I totally understand the urge to do) you do have some options. In a press release distributed to CNET, Cinemark announced Private Swiftie Parties -- an extension of its Private Watch Parties offering -- that allow fans to reserve an entire auditorium for singing and dancing. In the release, Fearing said "our larger-than-life screens and captivating surround sound deliver a most enchanting environment to sing and dance along with friends and family to the concert of the decade." Right now, these Private Swiftie Parties are on sale on Cinemark's website and app. The watch parties are available at participating locations for $800 and can accommodate up to 40 fans.

How can I watch the concert film at home?

This week, Swift announced that the Eras Tour concert film, extended version, will be available to rent on Dec. 13 (none other than the singer's birthday) on Apple TV, Vudu, Prime Video, Xfinity, Google Play and YouTube. Fans can expect some extra content from the extended version, with previously cut songs Wildest Dreams, The Archer and Long Live being added back in. Renting the concert film will set you back $19.89, and you'll be able to stream the film for 48 hours.

There's not an exact date on when we can expect the concert film on streaming services, although TV Line reports that Swift can't put her concert film on streaming platforms for 13 weeks after the film comes out. Jan. 12, 2024, would be the earliest possible date the film could wind up on a streaming service.

As a seasoned Swiftie, my recommendation is to keep a close eye on any hints Swift might give over the next few months for a streaming release date. Her well-known Easter eggs have given fans clues to album release dates and music video drops, so it's possible she'll use one to reveal the film's streaming debut.

Taylor Swift's Eras Tour: All the U.S. and international dates and opening acts

he was tour

Taylor Swift opened the Eras Tour at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona — which rebranded itself as "Swift Cit y" for the March 17 and 18 concerts — with a triumphant return to live performance as the first act in the history of that venue to sell out two nights on the same tour.

By that point, she'd already broken the all-time record for most concert tickets sold by an artist in a single day and passed Madonna's Sticky & Sweet Tour as the highest-grossing tour in history by a female artist.

And Swift rose to the occasion , leading her band through a marathon 44-song set that lasted more than three hours while delivering on her promise of "a journey through all of my musical eras."

So what does she do for an encore? Here's where the Eras Tour is headed next, adding two surprise songs to the set at each show. Here's a look at what she's played so far .

The Eras Tour: A Timeline

he was tour

What a year it was to be a Taylor Swift fan. From the releases of Speak Now and 1989 (Taylor’s Versions) with all their vault songs, to the surprise rebirth of 2019’s “Cruel Summer,” to the October debut of the highest-grossing concert film of all time, barely a day went by in 2023 that didn’t send Swifties (and the U.S. economy) into a frenzy . And, of course, at the heart of it all, was the Eras Tour — Swift’s three-and-a-half-hour-long, 66-show-and-counting magnum opus, in which the musician performed dozens of songs from her decades-spanning career.

But as anyone who attended a show or watched one unfold via the film (or a blurry TikTok feed) knows, the allure of the Eras Tour isn’t just about the music that Swift performs. Whether it’s the fun of watching her ad-lib lines and mess up lyrics, the anticipation of wondering which surprise songs will make the cut, the awe of seeing 70,000-plus LED bracelets light up, or simply the thrill of watching a superstar in her prime command the biggest stage of her career, Eras is an experience like no other .

And while the concerts are far from over ( Swift returns in February, with Tokyo ), there have already been enough memorable moments to cement Eras as one of the most iconic tours of all time. Here are some of the biggest.

Everything That Happened Opening Night

March 17, Glendale, Arizona

@missamericana93 Didn’t know where to post my opening night(s) content so bringing back my personal. Enjoy! #swifttok #erastour #theerastour #glendaletstheerastour #glendaleerastour ♬ original sound - Ru

Going into the first night of the tour, no one had any idea what to expect. Would Swift perform only her biggest radio hits, skipping over quieter tunes from Folklore and Evermore ? Would she address the Ticketmaster fiasco, or bring out celebrity guests, or answer all our still-burning questions about Midnights ? As it turned out, nothing could’ve prepared us for the reality of Eras. The 44-song setlist! The “underwater” “dive”! The pre–“Cruel Summer” bridge announcement and “Vigilante Shit” chair dance! Every moment of the show was a surprise and delight, made even more impressive by the knowledge that Swift would repeat it dozens more times.

First Post-Breakup Performance

April 13, Tampa, Florida

Swift’s split from longtime boyfriend Joe Alwyn in early April shocked fans, and many wondered if she’d address the breakup during the first show after the news was revealed. While the star unsurprisingly didn’t mention it directly, she did swap “Invisible String” (a love song widely assumed to be about Alwyn) for the depressing heartbreaker “The 1”. She’d made the switch once before, at the March 31 show, but the seemingly permanent change seemed to send a clear message about her relationship status.

Grandma Photos

May 5, Nashville

Some called it sweet, others called it invasive, but however you felt, there’s no denying that the fan project to hold up photos of Swift’s late grandmother during a Nashville rendition of “Marjorie” garnered quite a reaction. The evidently emotional singer took a moment to acknowledge the signs, telling the audience that she found them “meaningful and so special” and noting that her mom, Andrea, was likely “bawling” as a result.

Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) Announcement

@jessica.taylor13 @Taylor Swift announcing Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) #NashvilleTSTheErasTour #TSTheErasTour #taylorswift #speaknowtaylorsversion #speaknowtv #speaknow ♬ original sound - Jessica

We knew it was coming. There’d been hints for months. And yet when Swift announced the release of Speak Now (Taylor’s Version ) in Nashville, the reaction was nothing but total (ecstatic) chaos. As the album cover and release date appeared on the giant screen behind the star, fans screamed and sobbed, an overwhelming response that was repeated, three months later, when Swift announced the impending release of 1989 (Taylor’s Version ).

Nashville’s Rain Delay

May 7, Nashville

Like many artists, Swift is no stranger to a rain show. But the final night of Eras’ Nashville leg this spring took things to another level. After delaying the show several hours due to lightning, Swift got onstage at 10 p.m. and proceeded to get absolutely drenched with rain. She took the unfortunate weather in stride, though, telling the equally soaked audience that the night was a “bonding experience” and that they all looked like “river otters.”

Matty Healy Shows Up

May 12, Philadelphia

While Swift may be in honeymoon bliss with Travis Kelce these days, there was a terrifying period of time over the summer when she was linked to controversial singer Matty Healy instead. As fans unhappy with Healy’s frequently problematic behavior (which included making racist remarks about rapper Ice Spice, among many other incidents) held out hope that the rumors weren’t true, the musician showed up at Swift’s May 12 show — and then again at two more nights of the Philadelphia leg. They predictably fizzled out not long after.

Defending a Fan

May 13, Philadelphia

In a very viral moment during the second Philadelphia show, Swift paused mid-chorus in “Bad Blood” to defend a fan from an apparently aggressive security guard. “She’s fine! She wasn’t doing anything! Hey, stop!” Swift yelled, incorporating the command so smoothly into the song that it turned into its own remix.

Keith Urban Accidentally Hard-Launches Phoebe Bridgers and Bo Burnham

May 14, Philadelphia

@keithurban we love ya @Taylor Swift 🫶 #erastour ♬ Style - Taylor Swift

While some celebrity Eras Tour attendees seemed to delight in showing off their fandom and interacting with fans (looking at you, Channing Tatum and Laura Dern), others tried to keep their presence more low-key, including rumored new couple Phoebe Bridgers and Bo Burnham. Yet that didn’t stop fellow A-list Swiftie Keith Urban from revealing them anyway, when he posted a TikTok from the Philadelphia show’s VIP section featuring the duo kissing in the background. As viewers gossiped about the long-suspected pairing, Urban apologized for blowing their cover , saying that he “was just digging on the concert! You never know what’s gonna happen.”

Ice Spice Shows Up

May 26, East Rutherford, New Jersey

Two days after announcing on social media that Ice Spice had joined a remix of Midnights ’ “Karma”, Swift and the rapper appeared onstage together to premiere the song and its accompanying music video. It was a fun surprise for fans of both stars, and helped quash the rumors that the two had any, er, bad blood, following the Matty Healy controversy.

Tears During “I Don’t Want to Live Forever”

June 3, Chicago

It’s rare for Swift to get visibly emotional during a performance, but at the second stop on the Chicago leg of her tour, she did just that during an acoustic performance of her 2017 track “I Don’t Want to Live Forever.” A mournful breakup song originally sung as a duet with Zayn Malik, it’s no wonder that “Forever” gave Swift — then two months post-public breakup with Alwyn — some big feelings. Fans rallied in support for the singer, and it’s widely considered one of her strongest surprise song performances from the tour.

The Start of the “Errors Tour”

June 4, Chicago

Even a tour as polished as Eras isn’t incapable of the occasional misstep. Early in the tour, Swift’s piano started playing itself, her mic malfunctioned, and her hand even started bleeding. But it wasn’t until the singer accidentally swallowed a bug during one of the Chicago shows that the fan-coined term “Errors Tour” started to seem appropriate. It would be far from the last gaffe of the tour and the only one to leave Swift looking actually nauseous.

Taylor Lautner Does That Weird Backflip Onstage

July 7, Kansas City

Unlike other Swift exes like John Mayer or Jake Gyllenhaal, Twilight ’s Taylor Lautner has never seemed to mind the attention his romantic history brings (in fact, some argue that he enjoys it a bit too much). So while his appearance at Swift’s first Kansas City show to promote his cameo in the just-released “I Can See You” music video was not a total shocker, no one (apparently even Lautner) could’ve predicted the actor would do cartwheels and backflips onstage — or that he would do them again at a screening of the Eras movie a few months later.

Fans Cause an Actual Earthquake

July 22–23, Seattle

There are loud concerts, and then there’s Seattle. Over two nights in the Washington city this past summer, Eras audience members danced so hard that it caused seismic activity equal to a 2.3 magnitude earthquake, per experts . It was a ground-breaking night, literally.

Bianka Bryant Gets the “22 Hat”

August 3, Los Angeles

One of the cutest parts of the Eras Tour is when Swift gifts the hat she wears during “22” to a lucky audience member. Recipients have ranged from Mikael Arellano (creator of the “Bejeweled” dance) to Selena Gomez’s little sister, but perhaps no moment earned as sweet a reaction as when Swift delivered the hat to Bianka Bryant , 6-year-old daughter of the late Kobe Bryant; it even made it into the Eras movie.

Karlie Kloss Shows Up

August 9, Los Angeles

You don’t have to be a #Kaylor truther to understand the significance of Karlie Kloss, Swift’s former and seemingly estranged BFF, attending one of her L.A. shows in August . The supermodel’s unexpected appearance sent shock waves through the Swiftie community, with many fans still wondering whether Swift knew Kloss was coming or was just as surprised as we were.

“The guy on the Chiefs”

November 11, Buenos Aires

By mid-November, Swift’s rumored romance with NFL player Kelce was well underway; the athlete even flew out to Argentina to watch her perform (where he apparently bonded with potential future father-in-law Scott Swift). But few expected the singer to acknowledge her new love interest so directly by changing the lyrics to her song “Karma” to mention “the guy on the Chiefs coming straight home to me.” The switch even seemed to stun Swift’s own dancers — the shock only grew when the star ran up to Kelce after the show for a very public kiss.

TikTok Mashup Makes It to the Main Stage

What a time to be alive in Argentina! Swift, who’d already proven to take inspiration from TikTok by incorporating the viral “Bejeweled” dance into every show, pulled from the platform again by mashing up her just-released 1989 (Taylor’s Version ) vault track “Is It Over Now?” with her hit “Out of the Woods,” an idea likely taken from a fan’s video , which she later liked.

Brazil Shows Go Very, Very Wrong

November 17–20, Rio de Janeiro

The Brazil leg of the Eras Tour was, to put it bluntly, a mess. Swift breaking a heel mid-song and throwing the bejeweled Louboutin into the crowd (the fan who caught it is apparently selling it to raise funds for his cousin’s cancer treatment ) was the least of her problems. Extreme heat and ill-advised venue rules led to one canceled show, at least hundreds of fans needing medical attention, and one audience member, Ana Clara Benevides Machado, sadly passing away at the start of the first concert reportedly after going into cardiac arrest and losing consciousness. During that night’s show, Swift herself — seemingly frustrated by her crew’s lack of help — passed out water bottles into the crowd, aiming them directly at suffering fans during “All Too Well (10 Minute Version).” The next day, the singer mourned Machado’s death on her Instagram, saying, “This is the last thing I ever thought would happen when we decided to bring this tour to Brazil.” On Swift’s invite, several of Machado’s family members attended the star’s final Brazil show, wearing shirts sporting the late 23-year-old’s face.

What’s Next?

The 2023 leg of Eras may be over, but the record-breaking tour isn’t even halfway done; Swift still has over 80 more shows to perform, starting with Tokyo on February 7 and ending in Vancouver on December 8. Suffice to say, there will be plenty more on-stage antics, surprises, and viral moments to come. Are you ready for it?

"Very excited," Reynolds said of attending Swift's show in the Spanish capital later this month

Ryan Reynolds is heading to Madrid!

While promoting his new movie IF alongside costars John Krasinski and Cailey Fleming on May 14, the actor, 47, revealed on Today with Hoda and Jenna that he will be attending Taylor Swift ’s Eras Tour in the Spanish capital later this month.

Reynolds' comments came as Fleming, 17, spoke about being a Swiftie and revealed she was wearing friendship bracelets from the pop star’s show during the interview.

“This one’s from her concert but it says Bea on it. Our opener’s name was Bea,” the actress said. “I think I blacked out,” she added, recalling the great time she had at the 34-year-old's show.

“I’m getting to see her again in October and I’m so excited,” she said, to which Reynolds added, "Best concert on planet Earth."

Krasinski, 44, also noted that he was heading to a show in August. “My daughters were like, 'Your movie’s good but when are we going to Taylor?' " The actor and producer shares daughters Hazel, 10, and Violet, 7, with wife Emily Blunt .

“I’m about to go to the Madrid show,” Reynolds then revealed. “Very excited, my wife and kids have been to five of them, five or six now.”

Referring to his wife Blake Lively , who is best pals with Swift, and their four children , he added, “They love it, they’re obsessed.”

“This will be my first because this last year and a half I’ve been trapped in a non-stop work bubble and it’s a problem,” he said lightheartedly. “I’m getting help, I got help. Intervention is the word they’re using.”

Swift is set to play two shows in Madrid on May 29 and May 30 at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.

Reynolds, who shares daughters James, 9, Inez, 7, Betty, 4, and a fourth baby (whose name has not been revealed) with Lively, has previously spoken about his family’s love for Swift.

"Oh my God, yes. All of us, whole house, I'm not kidding. I love it so much," he told Entertainment Tonight of Swift’s 2022 album Midnights . "I do, Blake does, my daughters. We love it. Obsessed."

The "Fortnight" singer has also featured the couple's kids in her music, with James having a voice cameo  in Swift's  Reputation  track "Gorgeous," while  James, Inez and Betty are all named-dropped in  Folklore .

During his appearance on Today , the Deadpool & Wolverine actor also teased the name of his Lively's newest addition with a nod to Swift.

"Taylor Swift keeps dropping it into lyrics!" said Savannah Guthrie of Reynolds and Lively's children's names, likely referring to Swift's song  "Betty"  from  Folklore .

Guthrie then asked Reynolds whether the new baby's name is anywhere on Swift's new album  The Tortured Poets Department , to which he joked, "We always wait for Taylor to  tell us what the child's name is , and I'll say this: We're still waiting."

Lively has been pictured hanging out with Swift on multiple occasions after they first connected in 2015. In February, the duo attended the 2024 Super Bowl together and were seen cheering on Swift's Kansas City Chiefs tight end boyfriend Travis Kelce in his team's victory over the San Francisco 49ers.

Country music‘s Alan Jackson is hanging up his cowboy hat, announcing his final tour dates while his health is “getting worse.”

“I’ve been touring for over 30 years, you know, played everywhere in the country and parts of the world and had a wonderful career,” he said in a video posted on X, announcing the final dates of his Last Call: One More for the Road farewell tour.

The “Chattahoochee” singer, 65, cited a desire to spend more time with family — in particular, his three daughters and his grandchildren — as he enters his “twilight years.”

“I enjoy spending more time at home and don’t want to be away like I had to be in my younger days,” he said. “I think it’s just getting time to start thinking about hanging it up full time.”

Alan Jackson postpones upcoming weekend concerts to deal with ‘health issues’

‘I hoped I’d be able to be there; I hate to disappoint my fans,’ Jackson said of postponing a couple of upcoming weekend shows.

Another factor in Jackson’s decision was his diagnosis with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, a genetic neurological condition that affects muscle control in the feet and hands. The condition is not fatal but can severely restrict mobility, according to the Cleveland Clinic . The singer has had to postpone shows in order to deal with related health issues , notably halting a multi-show outing in 2022 to deal with “health issues” stemming from the disease.

“Most of my fans know I have a degenerative health condition that affects my legs and arms and my mobility,” the two-time Grammy winner explained in this week’s video. “And it’s getting worse.”

“It makes me more uncomfortable on stage and I just have a hard time. I just want to think about maybe calling it quits before I’m unable to do the job like I want to,” he concluded.

Implicit in the name of Alan Jackson’s current road show, the Keepin’ It Country tour, is the idea that this veteran country star is engaged in some resistance.

Feb. 28, 2015

The Country Music Hall of Fame member revealed his diagnosis in a 2021 interview on “ Today ,” explaining that he decided to make the information public because it was beginning to visibly affect his performances.

“I just wanted the fans and the public to know if they’ve come to see me in the last few years or if they come to see me in the future if I play anymore, what’s going on,” he told co-host Jenna Bush Hager.

“In some ways, [disclosing the condition is] a relief because I was starting to get so self-conscious up there, about stumbling around,” he said. “And it just made me nervous up there trying to keep my balance. And I look pitiful. So I think it’ll be good for me now to get it out in the open, and so if anybody’s curious why I don’t walk right, that’s why.”

At the time, the entertainer said he had no plans to stop touring but that his health condition might affect his availability.

Jackson’s final shows will be played from August to May in Boston; Grand Rapids, Mich.; Fayetteville, Ark.; Kansas City, Mo.; Salt Lake City; Oklahoma City; Fort Worth, Texas; Orlando and Tampa, Fla., and Milwaukee. Tickets went on sale Friday.

Every Time Travis Kelce Supported Taylor Swift at Her ‘Eras Tour’ Concerts

Every Time Travis Kelce Supported Taylor Swift at Her Eras Tour Concerts 572

Travis Kelce is officially in his Swiftie era.

Just as Swift cheered on the athlete at many 2024 NFL season games , Kelce hit the road to support the pop star at her Eras Tour shows. The tour featuring music from Swift’s entire discography was the starting point of their romance, as Kelce publicly announced his crush on Swift after attending one of her July 2023 shows in Kansas City.

News of the pair’s relationship broke in September 2023 when Swift attended her first Kansas City Chiefs game , but she later revealed that she and Kelce began dating not long after her Missouri tour stop.

“We actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other,” she shared in her December 2023 TIME Person of the Year cover story. “By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple. I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.”

In February 2024, a source exclusively told Us Weekly that Kelce would be “joining Taylor on her tour and traveling with her” following Super Bowl LVIII . “They are happy and looking forward to spending more time together,” the insider added. (The Chiefs ultimately defeated the San Francisco 49ers for their second consecutive Super Bowl win.)

Before the pair sparked a romance, Kelce attempted to get Swift’s attention by giving her a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it at her Kansas City Eras Tour show. “Well, I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings,” he shared on an episode of his and brother Jason Kelce ’s “New Heights” podcast at the time.

Travis continued: “So, I was a little butthurt I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her. … She doesn’t meet anybody — or at least she didn’t want to meet me, so I took it personal. But it was an unbelievable show.”

Swift told TIME in December 2023 that she “started hanging out” with Travis after he “very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell.”

Two months after their relationship went public, Travis used a break in his football schedule to travel to Buenos Aires for his second Eras Tour concert. During the show’s finale, Swift surprised the tight end and fans by changing the lyrics to her finale song, “Karma,” from “guy on the screen,” which was a reference to her ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn , to “guy on the Chiefs.”

Fans captured Travis’ reaction to the lyrics shout-out via social media . Taylor’s dad, Scott Swift , gave Travis a playful shove before he covered his face with his hands and blushed. The couple were also filmed sharing a passionate kiss backstage after the show.

Travis opened up about his Argentina Eras Tour experience on the “New Heights” podcast not long after. Though he admitted to having “a little bit of a clue” about the “Karma” lyric change, Travis said it “shocked” him nonetheless. “I was like, ‘Oh … she really just said that.’”

He went on to apologize for leaving Scott hanging as he tried to give him a high-five during the finale song. “Mr. Swift, I apologize, big guy,” Travis stated. “I never miss a high-five, too, big high-five guy. It’s the most electric thing you could do at an event.”

February 2024

Travis followed up the Chiefs’ Super Bowl LVIII victory by heading to Sydney for the second leg of Swift’s Australia Eras Tour shows. While attending the first of her four nights at Accor Stadium, Travis sported several friendship bracelets while hanging out in a VIP tent with fellow celebrity attendees Rita Ora , Taika Waititi and Katy Perry . He was also seen walking around handing out guitar picks to fans with his friend and fellow football player, Ross Travis .

Taylor, for her part, gave her boyfriend several sweet nods during the performance. In addition to repeating her “Karma” lyric change, she pointed to Travis while singing the “Willow” lyric “That’s my man” and the “Long Live” line “When they gave us our trophies.” The later shout-out seemingly was a reference to both Travis’ Super Bowl victory and her Grammy Awards wins earlier that month. Just like Argentina, the pair were seen sharing another backstage embrace and kiss .

“Taylor’s very fond of performing in Australia because of the crowds over there and how into it they get,” Travis recalled of his time Down Under on the “New Heights” podcast . “Shout-out to Australia for showing up, showing out.”

Travis was spotted jamming out at one of Taylor’s shows in Singapore on March 8, where she changed the “Karma” lyric once again. After Taylor gave her shout-out to the “guy on the Chiefs,” she ran off stage and into Travis’ arms for a kiss. The next night, Travis was spotted in the crowd again.

Roger Daltrey says live music is 'the only thing that hasn’t been stolen by the internet'

he was tour

Roger Daltrey has some thoughts.

He doesn’t want to disclose much about his impending electric/acoustic summer solo tour because he doesn't want to ruin any potential surprises. "Remember the days when you would go to a show and be wowed because you didn’t know what was next? There’s something to be said about mystique,” he says.

While he reaffirms his comment to USA TODAY from 2023 that he doubts The Who would ever play the U.S. again, he also wishes, in a way, that “we could go backward. I’d love to show people where we started , with a lot of energy.” So, is that a possibility? “No,” he says with a laugh. “We’re too old. I’d have a go at it, but Pete (Townshend) would have quite a shock. In those days, what we lacked in technique, we made up for in volume and we can’t do that anymore.”

How about the current version of The Who’s masterful rock opera “Tommy” now playing on Broadway . Has he seen it? “No.” Does he plan to? “No.” But Daltrey will never shirk from elaborating a position. “I’m just not interested. I prefer the original, the original, the original. The Who created the best rock opera ever written and it should remain there as far as I’m concerned.”

When he mentions that longtime guitarist in his solo band, Simon Townshend – younger brother of Who legend Pete – is “my soul partner on the road. He’s my replacement for Pete,” one wonders how Pete feels about this.

Need a break? Play the USA TODAY Daily Crossword Puzzle.

“I don’t know. And I don’t care.”

More: Robert Plant and Alison Krauss are equal parts ribbing and respect ahead of summer tour

Daltrey’s bracing honesty is both amusing and laudable. His comments could be construed as the crankiness of an 80-year-old, but his demeanor is that of a bloke in a pub having a pint and laughing as easily at himself as the world around him.

And really, his bluntness should be celebrated, because even if you disagree with his positions, he makes valid points.

As one of the most captivating frontmen in rock ‘n’ roll history, Daltrey has pushed his gritty roar of a voice behind timeless anthems – “Won’t Get Fooled Again,” “Baba O’Riley,” “Pinball Wizard,” “Who Are You” – and searing ballads such as “Behind Blue Eyes” and the whisper-to-a-bellow “Love, Reign O’er Me.”

His 11-date summer tour kicks off June 10 in Glenside, Pennsylvania before making stops in northern Virginia, upstate New York, Boston and Detroit among other cities. He’ll be joined by the aforementioned Townshend on guitar, Scott Devours on drums, Geraint Watkins on keyboards and accordion, John Hogg on bass, Doug Boyle on guitar, Jody Linscott on percussion, Katie Jacoby on violin, Steve Weston on harmonica and Billy Nicholls on mandolin.

It’s a large ensemble for a tour billed as semi-acoustic, but Daltrey quickly clarifies that attendees shouldn’t expect a quiet evening of unplugged classics.

“It’s just varied instrumentation. The one thing about the show, though, is no synthesizers, which I’m happy about,” he says. “I like the rawness of real instruments and in some ways (synths) can wind up doing too much.”

So “Baba O’Riley” will be minus its synth loop and “Won’t Get Fooled” also scrubbed to basics, which Daltrey is anticipating.

“It opens people’s minds to maybe hearing the song for the first time,” he says.

The show will also include songs pulled from his 10 solo albums, possibly some covers and a Q&A segment with the audience. Despite the uncertainty that comes with giving the mic to fans, Daltrey is undaunted about the questions he might field.

“I didn’t say I’m going to answer all of them,” he says with a chuckle. “A lot are so stupid you wouldn’t want to hear the answers, anyway. But it can be a lot of fun, or it can be disastrous if the questions aren’t any good.”

The openers on his June run of dates are a rotation of KT Tunstall, Dan Bern, Leslie Mendelson and Inhaler. Tunstall, of “Black Horse and the Cherry Tree” fame , will join the bill on most shows and Daltrey says he chose her because “she’s a fabulous artist, really gutsy. That’s what it’s all about.”

Daltrey first met Tunstall in 2014, when she performed at his dearly held annual Teenage Cancer Trust concert. Since 2000, Daltrey has curated the all-star event at the Royal Albert Hall in London, raising more than $40 million for the Teenage Cancer Trust organization , which funds specialized nurses and hospital units in the U.K.’s National Health Service along with additional support for young people with cancer.

After this year’s installment in January – which featured a walloping lineup including longtime pal Robert Plant , Eddie Vedder and Pete Townshend – Daltrey announced he would step down as curator .

“I don’t feel at this age I can be responsible for the charity,” he says, noting that he will remain in an honorary position and if a concert curator isn’t available for the 2025 edition, he’ll happily assume his position one more time. But, he says, “I just feel I’ve got to hand it over to younger blood to carry it forward … but I’ll always be there for it.”

Daltrey’s involvement in the charity always pokes at his softer side. But he wouldn’t be Daltrey without offering one more worldly perspective.

“This whole tour,” he says, “I just want to make sure we give the audience a great time. It’s a tough old world at the moment and thank God live music is there and that it’s the only thing that hasn’t been stolen by the internet. I think all of the YouTube stuff is very unhelpful. I don’t think it enhances (getting) anyone’s bums in seats. I think people are much more likely to go if they don’t know what to expect,” he says. Then adds with another throaty laugh, “Let’s go watch them fail!”

Elvis History Blog

The long, dark road … elvis on tour in 1976-77.

It’s hard to believe that Elvis Presley has been gone for so long. August 16 is the anniversary of his death in 1977. That day a sense of disbelief overwhelmed Elvis fans like me. How could it happen? Why didn’t we see it coming?

In retrospect, we know that Elvis’ health was unstable for several years leading up to his passing. And yet, he kept up a personal appearance schedule that would have taxed the energy of a much healthier, younger man. Between mid-March 1976 and the end of June 1977, a period of less than 16 months, Elvis spent a total of 141 days on tour around the country, plus engagements of 10 days in Lake Tahoe and 11 days in Las Vegas. During breaks in the grueling schedule, Elvis dealt with legal problems, stressed relations with fired employees, and recurring health issues. Many reviews of his stage shows during this period provided clues to his deteriorating condition. Unfortunately, Elvis was moving too fast from city to city for the public to put the puzzle pieces together.

Elvis opened his 1976 tour schedule in March with a six-day, four-state hop through the Southeast. Writing in the  Cincinnati Enquirer  on the 22nd, Cliff Radel was brutally honest about Presley’s appearance and movements during his show the night before:

“The years have not been kind to Elvis. His eyes are puffy. His ample cheeks and fleshy neck overemphasize his surly lips. If he gains any more weight, they may be squeezed from his face. Presley’s girth is regal in the manner of Henry VIII. The man’s legendary hip gyrations are there in spirit, but not in action. The enormous six inch wide belt which before Presley split a rear seam in his powder-blue pants was a matching blue number encircled with the Presidential Seal—and the equally enormous paunch drastically restricted his movements.”

• “The pounds only make Elvis more imposing”

Elvis then had a month off before heading out on a seven-day swing through the Midwest and West. Reviewers at his first two stops in Kansas City and Omaha were much kinder to Elvis. Jess Ritter in the  Kansas City Star  on April 22 claimed, “From the moment he strode onstage last night, though, he proved clearly that, at age 41, he is still one of the most charismatic entertainers in America,” and in Omaha, reviewer Doug Smith noted, “The King is still the King, despite of reports that he has been depressed, debilitated and overweight. Indeed, Presley is maybe 30 or 40 pounds over his playing weight … But the pounds only make Elvis more imposing, if slightly less mobile.”

But out west Denise Kusel wasn’t pulling any punches in her review of Elvis’ Long Beach show on April 25:

“Watching Elvis at the Long Beach Arena Sunday night was like watching a parody of a dying legend … mostly it was like watching a chubby puppet wrapped in a double chin and a foreign body work through a series of Elvis songs. But heroes die and even the best sunrise melts into sunset and then darkness.”

In the spring and summer of 1976, Elvis worked a grueling tour schedule with only occasional breaks, all too short to restore his all to apparent precarious health. On May 28 in Bloomington, Indiana, writer Rich Stim noticed Elvis’ weight problem, but dismissed it as unimportant. “I might as well start out by saying that I could care less if Elvis was rolled out in a wheelbarrow, as long as his attitude was okay and his voice was in tune." After Presley’s June 27 show in Largo, Maryland, though, reviewer Charlie McCollum roasted the overweight singer. “Here was a fat (chubby is no longer the word) man … The lean, mean Elvis is long gone and, in his place, is a William Conrad-figure wearing a Sonny Bono wig. Instead of the lithe movements of a panther, this Elvis moved with the grace of a pregnant water buffalo.”

• "Elvis is fine, period"

Most reviewers that summer were content to make unflattering comments about Presley’s weight. Few wondered about the potential it posed to his overall health. One who did was Matt Damsker in the  Philadelphia Bulletin :

“His spokesman—tight-lipped and hard to reach at the Hollywood offices of his manager, the iron-handed Col. Tom Parker—insist that Elvis is fine, period. Still, the past year has produced a flurry of items concerning his various hospitalizations: for ‘an intestinal blockage from a twisted lower colon’; for ‘an enlarged colon that interfered with his breathing;’ for ‘flu,’ ‘fatigue’ and ‘exhaustion.’”

By the end of August, Elvis was completely worn down, or so it seemed to reviewer John H. Anderson in Tuscaloosa:

“After two or three numbers it became painfully obvious that whatever Elvis had in his youth has escaped him in recent years. His outfit included an incredibly large belt and baggy pants, both designed to hide his expanding waistline. His face was puffy and his black-dyed hair was swept back into a middle-aged ducktail. The overall effect was that of a forty-year-old Fonzie with a beer gut. The vocals were disappointing. At times he sound tired. His occasional bursts of energy were short-lived.”

Elvis had five weeks off before starting another tour, this one 14 straight one-nighters, starting in Chicago on October 14, 1976. At first, it appeared Elvis had put his time off to good use. In Chicago, Jack Hafferkamp wrote, “Rest easy, ladies, Elvis is not as fat as you feared … Before he came to town, the gossip columnists had it that ol’ El had turned into a 41 years old butterball. But he fooled us.” And in Duluth, Jim Heffernan observed, “At 41, Presley is amazingly well preserved. He’s a little huskier now, but still trim.”

• "He seems to have matured into a sensitive artist"

With all the past angst about his weight gain, it was heartening to read Connie Trexler’s description of Elvis on October 26 in the  Fort Wayne News-Sentinel !

“Those saddening reports that Elvis had gone fat—in his attitude as well as in body—were probably true, but he seems to have overcome both physical and attitude problems. He seems to have matured into an excellent and sensitive artist. He is an impressive sight. He’s lost all the fat that recently plagued him, and he looks as young and sassy as he ever did.”

Even Robert Hilburn, the respected entertainment writer for the  Los Angeles Times , noted with optimism, “Most importantly, the loss of weight may be a sign of increased discipline that will now carry over into Presley’s recordings.”

And after Scott Cain wrote the following in the  Atlanta Journal  on the last day of 1976, Presley fans might have thought the King  had overcome all of his physical problems:

“There’s good news for Presley fans. Elvis is back in the groove. This Thursday show at the Omni was tops, the best possible year-end present for his Atlanta fans. From a vocal standpoint, Elvis was operating at his peak, both in tonal quality and exertion. He has lost a little weight and looks much healthier than he did last June. His vitality is restored and he was full of pep. Furthermore, he was in a good mood. He was giving his best and knew it, adding a wonderful aura of self-confidence to the show.”

• Elvis brushed aside his manager’s help

Unfortunately, the optimism about Elvis’ health faded quickly in the new year. In his  Miami News  concert review of February 13, 1977, Jon Marlowe described an over-the-hill, overweight idol—and his fans—just going through the motions:

“An Aging Rock Star’s Guide to Concert Appearances: Although your bulging stomach is now hanging half-way over your traditional hips, as soon as you walk out on stage, try shaking them at least once. The audience will give you a standing ovation and scream with sheer delight just for your effort.”

We now know Elvis’ manager was aware that his client’s condition, both physical and emotional, was in decline. When Elvis brushed aside the efforts of the Colonel and other insiders to help him, there was nothing Parker could do but shield Presley’s true condition from the press as best he could. After Elvis’s February 20 appearance in Charlotte, Frank Zupan wrote in the  Columbia Record :

“The 42 year old singer gave the hour and 15 minute performance with a touch of the flu, [a Presley spokesman] said. ‘Due to the fact that he had a virus, he was unable to do all the numbers he wanted to do.’ He said that there was no talk of Presley’s retirement by anyone in the singer’s party. ‘The way Colonel Park and them talk, they look forward to years and years of continued performing for the fans.’”

Although his condition did not improve, Elvis continued to take the stage, even though his illness sapped all the energy from his performance. Elizabeth Roberts wrote of Presley’s show in Alexandria, Louisiana on March 30:

“Presley was on stage less than an hour; he was impossible to understand when he talked between numbers … he never said one word to the audience or mentioned how nice or not nice it was to be in Alexandria or said ‘hi, how are you, we’re going to have a good time tonight and hope you enjoy the show.’ He came on stage, did a few numbers and then dashed off.”

• Cancelled shows … hospital stay … back on the road

The next night, Elvis was unable to go on stage in Baton Rouge. Sold out shows in Mobile, Macon, and Jacksonville were cancelled, and Presley returned home on April 1 and checked into Memphis Baptist Hospital. Four days later he went home, and, incredibly, by April 21 he was back on the road for shows in 11 cities over 12 days.

The first show was in Greensboro, North Carolina, and, according to Jerry Kenison in the  Greensboro Daily News,  Elvis was in no shape to start another grinding tour:

“There was no magic. The tremendous energy, humor, movement and emotion that characterized Presley’s 1972, 1974 and 1975 appearances here just weren’t on the stage much of the time … in general, Elvis moved very slowly, giving the impression that sudden or extreme motion would be painful … No matter how much he seemed to be trying … Elvis’ energy was lagging. He mumbled through ‘Hound Dog,’ seeming not to care. He improvised on other old standards, missing notes here and there.”

While a bout of the flu had been the excuse for a poor showing earlier in Charlotte, it was a “bad cold” that caused Elvis to cut short his show in St. Paul on April 30.  Pioneer Press  writer Charley Hallman reported, “Several times during Presley’s appearance, the singer had to stop for a drink of water and an assistant, Charlie Hodge, stood by with a box of Kleenex for Presley to use. Presley’s early cutoff of the music stunned many of the concertgoers. There was no applause at the end of the show.”

Elvis’ last concerts in May and June 1977, revealed a tired, disinterested superstar apparently just trying to survive the nightly ordeal on stage. For Presley fans, the reviews now are painful to read, knowing what lie just three months ahead. A couple of excerpts:

“Elvis ’77 is paunchy, puffy, lumbering, frequently off-key, apparently under-rehearsed (he has to read the first verse of ‘My Way’ from a page of sheet music) and, for all that, the most outrageously condescending showman I have ever seen. He performed Saturday as if just roused from a drunken slumber, slurred his witless patter as if still slightly in-the-bag, and otherwise gave no sign of artistic integrity. There are dolphins who perform more affectingly. What’s worse his fans don’t mind. They remain adoring and uncritical.”  — Matt Damsker,  Philadelphia Evening Bulletin , May 27, 1977

“Elvis Presley is 42, fat and losing his voice. His once famous bone-grinding wiggle has now shifted to an occasional twitch that leaves the so-called ‘king of rock’ breathless … The songs speak to those who have known deep joy and sorrow. Do they speak to him, an adored millionaire who lives as a recluse—a star who must keep alive the fantasies of millions, though he grows tired, and occasionally ill? The puffy face, the added weight are there, perhaps the toll of years of being what Elvis was marketed to be.”  — Randall Savage,  Macon News , June 2, 1977

• “Elvis, we love you, but please don’t do this to us”

No one saw Elvis’ sad ending as clearly, though, as Ken Williams, who reviewed Presley’s next to last concert in Cincinnati on June 25, 1977. No need to frame his comments. They were a final plea for Elvis to save himself:

“There comes a time when a performer should retire for the sake of his fans as well as for himself. I’m sad to say Elvis Presley has reached that time. Reports of recent Elvis concerts have been disheartening indicating that the King of Rock ’n Roll is dead. Apparently the reports are founded upon truth, and the King confirmed the suspicions with his listless, lifeless performance Saturday night at Cincinnati Riverfront Coliseum before another sellout crowd.

“The King looked awful. Though loyal fans attending the concert with me insisted he has lost weight since last year’s concert, Elvis still has a paunch which could do a Santa Claus suit without needing padding. Ghastly pale, eyelids nearly swollen shut, Elvis tried to exercise his booty as in the golden years. I’ve seen senior citizens with better acts.

“There was an emptiness at the end. Yes, there comes a time when a performer should step down, retire or rest. Elvis, we love you, but please don’t do this to us. We prefer remembering you at your peak, rather than at your funeral. ‘The King is Dead. Long live the King!’”

• Could Elvis’ fans have saved him?

So we come to the heartrending question that accompanies our memories every August 16th. If we had known everything described above, would we, Elvis’ fans, have done everything possible to save him? Sadly, it’s very doubtful.

What Elvis needed in 1976 and 1977 was to stop touring and concentrate on regaining his physical and mental health. He deserves most of blame for what happened to him, of course, but we fans who saw him on stage in his final years will always experience a soul-searching dilemma. To save Elvis, would we be willing to erase our special memories of seeing him perform and hearing him sing? The only thing that would have kept him from the grueling tour schedule that surely contributed to his death would have been if we had refused to attend his shows. Not a chance of that happening.

Shifra Stein, writing in the  Kansas City Times  on June 20, 1977, said it best:

“Urged on and on around the country by fans who rely on his past glories to fuel their image of him, Elvis is like a bull in the ring. He belongs to the crowd—and they refuse to let him go.”

Sturgill Simpson

Singer-songwriter Sturgill Simpson has always done things his way, and his iconoclasm will be in full force in July when he releases an album under the nom de plume “Johnny Blue Skies” — which he’s indicating will be the name that all his future albums will come out under.

A press release notes that “after promising to release only five studio albums under his own name,” Simpson is marking “the beginning of a new era” with the name change to Johnny Blue Skies. He did not release any statements about why he’s making the switch. But in a 2021 interview with Rolling Stone, Simpson did indeed vow that the album he was putting out at the time, “The Ballad of Dood and Juanita,” would be his last as Sturgill Simpson. “I always said there would be five, and I wondered if I’d go back on that. But it really has cemented every step of the way how much I don’t want to carry all that weight,” he told the magazine at the time. “Not having to stand up there behind my name would allow me to be even more vulnerable, in a way.”

The track list for the new album encompasses the songs “Swamp of Sadness,” “If The Sun Never Rises Again,” “Scooter Blues,” “Jupiter’s Faerie,” “Who I Am,” “Right Kind of Dream,” “Mint Tea” and “One for the Road.” It was produced by the artist now known as Johnny Blue Skies along with David Ferguson, with sessions taking place at Clement House Recording Studio in Nashville and Abbey Road in London.

Fans will need to pre-register for the tour to queue up for tickets. Registration is open now through June 10 at sturgillsimpsonlive.com for a pre-sale that begins June 12 at 10 a.m. local time. After that, a “limited number” of tickets will be reserved for a general on-sale June 14.

Tickets will be restricted from resale except through Ticketmaster’s Face Value Exchange, which aims to circumvent secondary-market price increases by only allowing tickets to be resold for the original price.

Stops the Simpson tour will be making along the way include Forest Hills Stadium in New York Oct. 19 and Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena Oct. 25 and .

The new concerts join the two Simpson shows that were previously booked for the coming months, both festival dates — an Outside Lands gig in the Bay area in early August that will precede the official tour opening by more than a month, and two Austin City Limits Festival appearances on successive weekends in October.

All the fall headlining shows are being billed as “an evening with Sturgill Simpson”— aka no opening act — with the exception of a Sept. 20 concert at the Gorge in Washington state that will feature Lord Huron as opener.

Unpredictable as Simpson’s ways may be, it’s highly likely the tour will feature material from the artist’s landmark album “Metamodern Sounds in Country Music.” Simpson celebrated the 10th anniversary of the record in May with a commemorative reissue on vinyl featuring new and more elaborate packaging.

While he has been largely absent from the touring circuit, Simpson has taken a turn into acting, with roles in Martin Scorsese’s “Killers of the Flower Moon” and “The Righteous Gemstones.”

Travis Kelce  is bringing that certain je ne sais quoi to Taylor Swift 's final  Eras Tour performance in Paris.

On Sunday night, the 34-year-old NFL star was spotted inside the Paris La Défense Arena alongside Gigi Hadid and her rumored beau Bradley Cooper , enjoying the final Paris show where Andrea Swift and Lenny Kravitz were also in attendance. Many fans were unsure if Kelce would make it halfway across the world after he was spotted in Los Angeles earlier this week on the set of his new TV show .

While he was not able to make it for nights one, two or three -- where Swift, 34, unveiled a new setlist to include songs from her recently-release album, The Tortured Poets Department -- Kelce showed up big time to support his girlfriend of more than six months with Cooper, 49, and Hadid, 29, in tow. The couples previously took a joint vacay together to Carmel-by-the-Sea, California in April.

In videos posted to X -- formerly known as Twitter -- Cooper, Hadid and Kelce can be seen hanging out inside a suite and dancing along to "Ready For It" during the Reputation set of the show. Another short snippet sees the Kansas City Chiefs tight-end playfully shimmying to "Love Story" from Fearless .

For her own part, Swift seemingly showed love to her man by sporting Kansas City Chiefs colors during the 1989 set. After debuting mismatched color sets for the first three nights, the "Bad Blood" crooner sweetly sported a yellow top and a red skirt to strut the stage for the one night with Kelce in the crowd.

Fans quickly also pointed out that it was Swift's 87th Eras Tour performance -- a significant number to the Swifties as it's Kelce's jersey number, which she proudly wears a friendship bracelet with "87" on it and has worn custom-made jackets to his games.

Another sweet moment happened for the affectionately nicknamed Swelce when Swift pointed to her football-star boyfriend while singing "Blank Space" and blew him a kiss from the stage. He also was seen adorably reacting to her singing "So High School," which fans believe Swift wrote about her boyfriend of less than a year.

If fans weren't previously convinced that this show was all about Kelce, the real sticking point (or points) came in the form of one of the surprise songs. For her first impromptu choice of the evening, Swift chose "The Alchemy" from her newest album, which many believe is written about the Cleveland-born athlete.

"So when I touch down / Call the amateurs and cut 'em from the team / Ditch the clowns, get the crown / Baby, I'm the one to beat / 'Cause the sign on your heart / Said it's still reserved for me / Honestly, who are we to fight the alchemy," Swift sings on the chorus.

In the very last song of the show, Swift brought back the "guy on the Chiefs" reference, causing fans to erupt into uproarious applause and cheers at the sweet nod to her man. One fan caught Kelce's reaction to the reference after he made his way down to the floor.

A source tells ET, "Travis couldn't wait to attend Taylor's European leg of her Era's tour. He was very excited to see Taylor in action yet again, and enjoys watching her perform and singing along. He's a very supportive partner, as is she. The two are making it a point to celebrate each other's achievements, and show up when it matters most."

The couple has been extremely supportive of each other in recent weeks amid the release of her new album and Kelce signing a  contract extension with the Chiefs , agreeing to host  Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?   and signing on to Grotesquerie .

In April, a  source told ET , "He knows how much this means to her and thinks she's extremely talented."

The source added, "Taylor and Travis admire each other's creative processes and work ethic. They cheer each other on, respect each other's opinions, and are open and communicative."

Scottie Scheffler, PGA Tour, the Memorial

Scottie Scheffler never ceases to amaze.

On a blustery day that made PGA Tour players look foolish, Scheffler made things look easy. He paraded around Muirfield Village, making four birdies and a brilliant eagle on the par-5 15th to card a 4-under 68 at the Memorial Tournament .

“Around this golf course, especially when the winds are up, just because have you so many trees that block it and when it’s gusty, it can be really challenging and start blowing from directions where it’s not quite supposed to at times,” Scheffler explained.

“That’s another one of the challenges of playing this golf course. But I felt like we did a good job today of executing and putting ourselves in the right spots out there.”

Perhaps nobody has executed better this week than what Scheffler did on 15.

He pounded his drive right down the middle of the fairway and then stuck a 3-iron from 238 yards to about nine feet. Scheffler then rolled it in for an eagle to get back to 8-under, reinstilling his two-shot advantage that he briefly surrendered with bogies on the 11th and 13th holes.

“It was just a nice hold 3-iron. I felt like I had a good number, and it’s nice when I have a number where I want to cut it, and the pin’s on the right, and that was one of those instances,” Scheffler said of his approach into 15 .

“So I was able to hit a really nice shot in there pretty close to the pin and hole the putt.”

Scheffler entered the day trailing Adam Hadwin by a stroke at 5-under. But Hadwin went out and shot an even-par 72 in the morning, giving Scheffler an opportunity to take full control of the tournament. In fact, Hadwin had gotten his score up to 8-under, but a double-bogey at 17 brought him tumbling back down to six.

Scheffler never made as grave an error as that, even though he played sloppily between holes 10 and 13. He made an incredible par-save at the 10th, holing a 16-footer to do so. Then, on the par-5 11th, Scheffler knocked his third shot into the front bunker and failed to get up and down.

Two holes later, Scheffler had a horrible lie just off the fairway, which led to his second bogey in a three-hole span. But then he showed everyone why he is the best player in the world at 15, making it look easy.

He then went on to cap his round with a beautiful birdie on the 18th, despite putting his drive into the right fairway bunker. It marked the second straight day he birdied the final hole.

And yet, Scheffler refused to describe this game as ‘easy.’

“Easy is definitely not the right word. I feel like what I love about this game is how difficult it is. I love coming out here and competing against the best players in the world on the best golf courses, and this is obviously a pretty challenging track,” Scheffler explained.

“I really just love competing out here, and I don’t really think about whether or not it’s easy or hard, and some days I play good, and some days I don’t, but outside of that, I’m just out here trying to compete.”

Scheffler is now vying for his fifth victory of the season, which includes a win at Augusta National . He definitely loves competing against his fellow tour pros, but do his peers like competing against him?

Probably not.

Auburn freshman Jackson Koivun makes cut at the Memorial in PGA TOUR debut, one step closer to earning card

Change Text Size

DUBLIN, Ohio – Jackson Koivun’s list of accolades is already extensive. The 19-year-old college freshman became the first golfer in NCAA history to sweep the three collegiate Player of the Year awards and Freshman of the Year in the same season. He also led Auburn to its first national championship title.

He can add a made cut in his PGA TOUR debut to that list.

Koivun birdied two of his final five holes to finish 4-over and inside the cutline through 36 holes at the Memorial Tournament presented by Workday. With the made cut, Koivun earned his 15th point in PGA TOUR University’s Accelerated Program. He is five points from reaching the 20-point threshold and earning a TOUR member. He would join Gordon Sargent as the only golfer to hit the threshold.

“I think today is probably the hardest golf conditions and course I ever played," Koivun said. "I'm pretty happy with how I played. It means so much to come out here with that sponsor's exemption and hopefully make the cut and play this weekend.”

Jackson Koivun cards birdie at the Memorial

Koivun earned a spot in the Memorial by winning the Jack Nicklaus Award, given by the Golf Coaches Association of America to the player of the year. Koivun also won the Ben Hogan Award, Haskins Award and Phil Mickelson Outstanding Freshman Award. He’s the first golfer to win all four in a single season.

Koivun won twice in his freshman season, including the SEC Championship. He finished in the top 10 in 12 of his 13 stroke-play starts and had the lowest adjusted scoring average (67.3) in Division I. He earned the clinching point in Auburn’s semifinal match in the NCAA Championship, which went to extra holes. Then he earned Auburn’s first point in the national championship against Florida State.

Koivun shot 4-over 76 on Friday after opening with a round of even-par 72. It was needed breathing room during a difficult second round with strong wind gusts and firming greens. Koivun was 5-over through 10 holes after making a double on the opening hole of the back nine, but the teenager found something with his swing on 11th hole. He made three straight pars before holing back-to-back birdies on 14 and 15 to play himself back inside the cutline.

“In the back of my mind I'm like, you got a lot of birdie holes coming up and it could move to 5, so as long as you get through 10 or 11 and 12, they were playing straight in the wind and playing really hard, I had some good opportunities coming in, just needed to play smart coming through.”

He holed a 14-foot birdie on the 14th, found the green in two on the par-5 15th, and made a comfortable two-putt birdie. Koivun nearly grabbed another on the 18th but ran his mid-range birdie putt 5 feet by the hole. He missed the comebacker for a closing bogey, but that didn’t dampen his mood.

“It’s awesome,” Koivun said of his made cut.

Koivun’s quest for 20 PGA TOUR University Accelerated points now looks like a matter of 'when' not 'if'. Koivun has more than two years to earn five points after earning 15 in his freshman season. He is likely guaranteed to earn two more this summer. Currently No. 3 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking, Koivun will jump to No. 2 and earn another point once Christo Lamprecht makes his first professional start. Koivun will earn another point when he competes in the Palmer Cup in July.

Another point is still up for grabs this weekend. Koivun could earn his 16th point with a top-10 finish. He was tied for 45th when he walked off Muirfield Village on Friday afternoon.

“Every point is so valuable now, trying to make that push to get to 20,” Koivun said. “Hopefully I can get a couple more starts and kind of earn that TOUR card … but I'm looking forward to what the future has.”

The future is very bright.
