Enjoy London’s world famous lights in one of London’s world famous icons, the London taxi. But not any taxi, an electric taxi with panoramic glass roof. This gives you the opportunity to take some stunning pictures from within the taxi. We also stop at a number of locations, allowing for even more stunning pictures. 

We like to give this fast flowing 2.5 hour  lights tour a dynamic feel. This translates into plenty of hopping in and out of the Taxi for selfies and London lights pictures, but for those that might find this a struggle, plenty of stops with picture taking from the taxi. 

The focus of the tour, is as the name suggests, London’s  lights. But your qualified driver guide, is also able to give you informed explanations of what you are looking at.

 So popular was this display, that over the following two decades the festive installations spread to different streets in the city. 1959 saw Oxford Street's first festive lights, which is now often the focus of the Christmas lights in London.

 The annual tradition to light up London continued and has grown to be the spectacular event that we see today. The iconic London lights are a major attraction for visitors from around the world, drawing a staggering number of visitors for the ‘switch on ceremony’.

Oxford Street & Regent Street Christmas Lights

Where better to begin than the place where it all started,Regent street is a must see for any visitor at Christmas, and 2021 is not going to disappoint.

 What is said to be London’s biggest display of Christmas lights this year, Regent Street hosts “the spirit of Christmas”; a spectacular celebration of the history of the festive lights and the showcasing of British design and engineering.

 Regent Street is also renowned for its top class restaurants, so you can easily enjoy some refreshments after a busy day shopping and sightseeing.

 Linking onto Regent street, world famous shopping paradise Oxford Street is a natural destination on the tour.

 In a tradition dating back to 1947, London has been gifted a Fir tree from Norway every year as thanks for British support during WWII

 But it is not just any old tree, this staggering tree topping 20 metres is carefully selected and cared for well in advance from forests surrounding Oslo. It is felled in a special ceremony and then brought over by sea, usually during November and can be seen decorated in a traditional Norwegian style.

 The lighting of this amazing tree signifies the start of the countdown to Christmas and is a lovely tradition in the city.
