5 Day Students Trip to Morocco

Students Trip to Morocco is a 5 Day / 4 Night trip that starts and ends in Marrakech, including a wonderful short experience in the Sahara desert of merzouga. This trip will take you visiting the best attractions in the road toward Erg Chebbi Dunes. You will have many stops for panoramic viewpoints along the high atlas mountains to see and take pictures of some Berber villages on your way to visit The UNISCO WORLD HERITAGE KSAR AIT BEN HADDOU, after that you will continue to the Hollywood city of morocco where you will have opportunity to visit ATLAS STUDIO in ouarzazate, then drive through Skoura oasis of palm trees, Valley of roses, Dads valley and gorges, a short hike at Todra Gorges ( Canyons)… Camel Ride to see Sunset at the top of the highest ERG CHEBBI DUNES with an overnight experiencing the peaceful of Sahara desert in a berber luxury camping, watching stars and listening to drums music. Also you will have time to have some fun doing some sportive adventures and activities on the dunes with like experience sand-boarding, ATV Quads, Buggies, Horse Riding and more!

NOTE: Day Four will be a long day driving from Sahara desert back to Marrakech, which will take you around 10-11 Hours’ drive so it’s not recommended for kids… So to avoid giving your children bad experience it will be better to extend your trip for an extra two days minimum.

We will pick you up in the morning in Marrakech and depart for Ouarzazate via the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass, rising to an elevation of 2260 meters, while enjoying the attractive views of the High Atlas Mountains and picturesque Berber villages. We will then go on to visit a UNESCO World Heritage Site: the exotic Kasbah of Aït Benhaddou and have lunch. 

Day 3 – Boumalen Dades – Todgha Gorge – Tinjdad – Erfoud – Merzouga

After breakfast, we will head toward Merzouga, stopping first at the spectacular Todgha Gorge where you can take a walk along the gorge floor between the canyon walls. We will then continue across the valley to Tinjdad, where we will have lunch. After lunch, we will drive via Erfoud, where we will visit an amazing fossil factory and learn how they excavate, polish, and shape trilobites, orthoceras, ammonites, and other fossils into beautiful objects. We will continue on to Merzouga and the Dunes Luxury Camp at the foot of Sahara Desert dunes. Each tent is beautifully appointed and the entire camp is the ultimate in “glamping.” Here you will get ready for your next adventure; camel trekking! You will ride these Ships of the Desert into the heart of the Sahara, witnessing a spectacular sunset through the dunes. Back at the Dunes Luxury Camp you will enjoy Berber food, listen to the drums under a starry night sky, and sleep in your gorgeous tent in peace and tranquility.

Day 4 – Merzouga – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

Set your alarm to wake up early this morning to enjoy the beautiful sunrise over the dunes! It is a moment not to be missed. We will stop for lunch in Ouarzazate and then continue on to Marrakech by crossing the high Atlas Mountain through the pass of Tizi n’Tichka.

Day 1: Marrakech – Ait ben haddou kasbah – dades Valley

The first day of Morocco students tour from Marrakech starts early in the morning, your personal driver will pick you up at your Hotel in Marrakech, then drive through the captivating views of the famous Tizi N Tichka pass and the peaks of the great Atlas Mountains. 

After passing by the marvelous thousand Kasbahs, our first stop will be in Ait Benhaddou to discover one of the most beautiful fortified Royal Palaces.

Next, we will enjoy a delicious traditional Berber lunch in a charming traditional Berber restaurant before continuing our journey towards Ouarzazate, the door of the Royal Sahara desert. To wander and walk you through its old Souks and alleyways. 

After that, we will visit the impressive Atlas Film Studio, to see where some big name movies and series were made such as: Game of Thrones, Babel, The Jewel of the Nile and Gladiator amongst others

After that, we move towards Dades valley, crossing the beautiful palmary of Skoura and the fascinating Valley of Roses. 

The night will be spent in a lovely Hotel in Dades River.

Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Desert experience

On our second day of the Morocco students tour from Marrakech, we will leave the beautiful Dades valley, heading towards Todra Gorges, “the magnificent Canyons of Morocco”. We will walk you through its orange cliffs and canyons, discovering the perfect combination of the Atlas Mountains and Sahara Desert.

Later on, we will be passing by Rissani, visiting its colorful Sahara market and old culture. We would also have a tour in the old village, getting a real glimpse of the authentic Moroccan architecture.

Finally, we will arrive in Merzouga, where we will take our camels on a unforgettable camel Trek through the golden Sands of Erg Chebbi. You will spend the night in a cozy Desert camp, gathering around the camp, and enjoying the authentic Nomadic life.

Day 3: Sahara trips – draw valley – Marrakech

We will wake up early on our last day of the tour to witness and admire a remarkable combination of a breathtaking sunrise over the golden sands of the Sahara desert. 

After breakfast and shower. will head back towards Rissani, the home of the Ruling dynasty to walk through its old streets and authentic buildings one more time before heading back to marrakech later in the afternoon.

Day 4  Monday 28/10   Middle Atlas Mountains  |  Ziz Valley  |  Sahara Desert

On the way you can appreciate the architecture of  Ifrane  (known as “little Switzerland” or “Moroccan Switzerland”). Passing the  National Park of Ifrane you can find beautiful cedar forests littered with curious and friendly monkeys waiting to be fed. Movement of Nomad families will be an added flavor depending on the season of travel. In the Desert, the connection with nature is intense and the atmosphere is really special. Day 5  Tuesday 29 /10  Todra Gorge  |  Studios Atlas  |  Ait Ben Haddou

Admire all the magnificent views the Todra Gorge offers with spectacular geological formation carved by the River Todra, forming a deep gorge flanked by steep cliffs of unique beauty. Contemplate the famous Studios Atlas , the largest studios in the world and the filming location of several movies & series: Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven, Astérix and Obélix, Babel, Prince of Persia, Game of Thrones and more. Visiting Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou   is going through a Portal to historical Morocco and a once in a lifetime experience seeing the Berber village and learning more about the history of the people. It has one of the largest and well-preserved fortresses in Morocco classified UNESCO World Heritage.

Day 6  Wednesday 30/10   Marrakech  |  Tichka |  High Atlas Mountains

The views of the snowcapped High Atlas Mountains are beyond imagination, with plenty of photo opportunities. Sense fresh air in Tichka viewpoint, a slice of Moroccan life that most people won’t see. Marvel a stunning trip with the scenery varying from the desert near Ouarzazate , through to the verdant rolling hills as you descent from the peaks towards Marrakech . It is definitely a must visit to appreciate all the beauty and the power of the High  Atlas , truly breathtaking!

Day 7  Thursday 31/10  Marrakech  |  Ouzoud Waterfalls

Marrakech  the red city is a delight to be surrounded by history, singular architecture, tradition and hospitality. Savor the fantastic aromas of the spice souks and admire the famous sunsets of Jemaa el Fnaa square. Marrakech is both vibrant and enchanting. Surrounded by the Atlas Mountains and desert sands, there’s plenty to see and do.  Ouzoud Waterfalls are one of the largest natural attractions in the kingdom and form the largest waterfalls in North Africa with more than 100 meters in height. A huge place with positive vibes and friendly locals, making the experience much greater. Meet amazing monkeys that you can feed off your hand, a really great experience.

Day 8  Friday 01/11  Casablanca  |  Rabat  |   Asilah

Casablanca the largest city in Morocco. It is the country’s economic and cultural capital . In Casablanca, modern constructions mix with charming neighborhoods that reflect Arabic-Islamic heritage and the traces of the city’s colonial period. Walk through the medina, one of the most recent in Morocco. Wander through downtown to appreciate the modern buildings and visit the Hassan II Mosque , a truly remarkable work of art. Sense the positive energy of modernity and Authenticity in  Rabat , the capital of Morocco where you can find a fertile exchange between the Arab-Muslim past and Western modernism. You just can’t escape the joy taking over your body in the majestic Kasbah of the Udayas and its surrounding gardens.

Explore the walls of the medina turned into an art gallery of colorful murals.  Tangier  is   guarding the Strait of Gibraltar. It has, for centuries, been Europes’s gateway to Africa. Many cultures there have major influence over the Moroccan heritage. Tangiers has a rich history and a truly multi-cultural vibe. Visit the enjoyable Kasbah (fortress), the Medina (old quarter of Tangier) and the colorful markets , right in the borders between the Mediterranean sea and the Atlantic ocean .
