It is continued by Pokémon: Johto League Champions , which Season 4 of the series. Re-releases starting with the late 2016 addition of the series on Watch Disney XD shorten it to the last 41 episodes (with the first 11 episodes of this season becoming the 50th-60th episodes of Season 2 ) to remain consistent with the beginning of Pokémon the Series: Gold and Silver .
On Nick+, its shortened to 14 episodes. This only exists in countries that have Pokémon on Nick+.
In Japan, it was broadcast on TV Tokyo, later on Kids Station and Nick Japan since 2018.
In the US, this season was broadcast on Kids' WB! from 2001 until 2002, then aired reruns from Nickelodeon in January 2002 to 2011 and Nicktoons from 2002 to 2019.

Pokémon: The Johto Journeys is the third season of Pokémon, known in Japan as Pocket Monsters: Episode Gold & Silver (ポケットモンスター 金銀編, Poketto Monsutā: Kin Gin Hen).It originally aired in Japan from October 14, 1999, to July 27, 2000, on TV Tokyo, and in the United States from October 14, 2000, to August 11, 2001, on The WB/Kids' WB.
