Clean rooms, friendly staff, and a great location. - The cabs provided by the agency were comfortable and punctual. **Areas for Improvement:** - Communication with the cab manager, Premanand, was a bit frustrating. We had to remind him daily about our travel plans, which was inconvenient. - Ideally, we expected Shadab, the travel agent, to handle all coordination with the cab service, including reminders and arrangements. - The food at the hotels was average. In summary, while the trip itself was enjoyable, better communication and coordination from Shadab would have made it even smoother.

Hotels are little bit far from main location so reaching hotel takes time. But it's manageable as you will have a nice view in the way. I recently had a family vacay in Thailand which I planned through Tripoholic and while most of it went well, it could have been better. I had taken time out to plan an itinerary with Tripoholic, but on the date of travel just as we were headed to the airport I got a Travel Voucher in which the schedules were bungled up and I verbally stated that so long as there is no deviation in the printed and mutually agreed itinerary shared earlier, I am ok with the trip. But certain things didn't go as expected, such as scuba diving. Thankfully, a local tour agent there helped optimize the trip for us. I do not recommend to organise your trip with Southern Travels Pvt Ltd : waste of money, waste of time before leaving, waste of energy arguing during the trip, no help in case of need. I organised 3 trips with them. Trip 1 : took 35 e-mails, almost 2 months to organise a 9 days' trip, received 2 days before leaving there payement' methods that wasn't secured and working (I tried 5 times with 2 differents cards). The day before taking the plane, nothing was booked. We decided to do without them. Without them, by taking the same hotels, trains between the cities and uber in each cities, we saved 600eu. Taking the train is really easy, confortable, quicklier then a car and a very nice way to discover the country. Trip 2 : hotels and driver were booked with Southern Travels. We had a guide but he explained nothing. Driver was ok and on time. Nice hotels but not a surprise as we asked for 4-5 stars deluxe hotels. Trip 3 : hotels and driver were booked with Southern Travels after more then 30 e-mails (1 month). Driver drove well and was on time. He stopped 2 times for shops we didn't ask for. He lied about how much time we ll spend at the border' control : he said it we ll take 1 hour and suggested 3 times to take a boat ride, I said 3 times ''no'' but he still drove to boat ride. Border control' time took 15 minutes. One hotel was awfull : towels and bed sheets damaged and dirty, cockroach in bathroom, insects in bed. I contacted directly 3 people of Southern Travels, only 1 aswered. First he said ''you accepted that hotel''. After arguing with him, he send a second message ''we ll do the need'' but did nothing in the end.

Myself and my family used Southern travels for Hyderabad City tour and pickup and drop for Ramoji film City. The experience of Hyderabad City tour was average. To ensure all places are covered in 1 day they have squeezed a lot in and this means there is very less time to explore key places like Golconda Fort and Salarjung Museum. There are places like Sudha Car Museum which can be boring and should be excluded from the list of places. The guide may not converse in English and hence please check before you book. Ramoji trip was poorly managed given it was just drop and pickup. They could have ideally just timed everything but there was no coordination at all. Very poor. They also do not send any updates for pickup via sms etc which made everyone a little nervous whether they would turn up or nothing. In short southern travels is a tour operator from before the Internet age and a lot more effort needs to be put in by them to be considered even at Indian class level let alone world class.

I have a long list of complaints and suggestions, so thinking that, someone from the management pays an attention to the following points: 1. For the mentioned tour, I was the first person to book i.e. booking made on 1st January 2023 then why my helicopter booking for the return journey was not made on the same day? Whereas for all rest of the passengers it was made on the same day. 2. We were on a package tour then why we were left as orphans at Sitapur to arrange our own vehicles to go to the respective helipads? Is it not the responsibility of the travel agency to arrange for this? If my return from Kedarnath to Rampur was on the next day; then why my stay arrangements was not made for me at Kedarnath? 3. Your guides are working for you since years; is they not capable of arranging vehicles for taking us to helipads at a better price? They arranged the vehicles for us @Rs.2000/- for one side drop for 6 persons. Luckily the police didn't allow that vehicle to move so we passengers hired another vehicle on our own by paying just Rs.600/-. Is it our fault? 4. In many places we were asked to book smaller vehicles (Rishikesh, Gupt Kaashi, Kalimath, Rampur etc.) for sightseeing of places then why didn't travel agency arranged similar vehicles from the beginning of the tour? After paying a huge amount, we need to incur additional costs. 5. Apart from Srinagar (Kirtinagar), the accommodation was below average. In Badrinath, we were put in a hotel where the night temperature was -6 degree centigrade but having provision of room heaters, we were not provided! 6. Is Southern Travels a tour agency which caters to the need of only South Indians? Then why we were provided with only south Indian foods in the places where they don't know how to cook those items? Please mention very clearly that, only south Indian (un-tasty) food would be served in the journey. Have some concerns for non south Indian passengers. 7. Is marketing activity a must to do item in your journey schedule? In both the places i.e. Rishikesh and Haridwar, I feel we were cheated. Priority on marketing; we had to forgo some tourist spots. 8. The guide of our tour must learn more management skills. I feel he was just a coordinator but not a guide or manager. Though he was very polite and well behaved with passengers but was very average on his duties. This was the second time, I was availing the facilities of Southern Travels but very disappointed for the amount that we paid and in return what the services we received. Prior to this tour, I have referred many of my friends and relatives to avail your services and they have availed too but very doubtful whether this I can do in future or not!

we booked Kashmir group package trip through southern travels. PNR- 157040320230531790. we wanted to book custom package but were told to go for group package as prices,accommodation are same for both of them and moreover since its Kashmir tour it would be more appropriate to book group package.We were told that all hotel stays are 3 star hotels like i custom deluxe package.my uncle had been taking southern travels tours since last 10 yrs and has taken more then 6 tours and he vetted that accommodation and service would be top notch so we went ahead with the booking. Our trip started on 1 april. delhi-katra: the hotel shiv dhaba where we took lunch break was decent enough katra stay: hotel was very bad but we did not protest as we were focussed on completing vaishno devi darshan. katra-kashmir : all the stops (zaildar Punjabi dhaba,etc) were pathetic.they did not even have proper toilets for ladies.but again we did not protest as we can see driver ( rakesh)was getting orders from higher ups on where to stop and he did his very best to keep us happy. stay in kashmir- we have 4 senior citizens in the group with acute knee pains.again here the accommodation did not have any lift and were forced to take stairs for 2nd floor accommodation and for dinner need to take 3 flight of stairs to the basement.again here we did not protest. meanwhile the tempo traveller which was arranged for us as only 8 seats got booked out of which 6 were mine, ac pipe broke and water started dripping all over us through ac vent.again here rakesh took pain staking initiative and purchased silicon and worked through out night to seal the pipe from outside.4 seats in the traveller have broken locking system due to which seats just fall back on passengers sitting behind us. srinagar stay- houseboat was good. srinagar lunch- again pathetic hotel.i dont believe the thali being served would cost more than 125/-. jammu stay- clark inn hotel was outstanding and was expecting this category of hotels through out my stay but to my dismay was adjusted in cheap hotels to save costs at my expense. amritsar stay- ishan villa was ok but here my daughter got food poisoning en route in some of the cheap hotels we were stopping.we stoped at chennai xprs and its was far below standards.maybe she got food poisoning there. i totally wasted 1.8lakhs on this trip with southern travels.i donot recommend this agency.

I planned for Cochin and Maldives .. And got a miserable experience in kochin Because of this travel agency..they booked one travel people but they are really horrible in there services and collected nearly 20 k for just half day trip and airport pick up and drop for two times ..they didn't show us any place which was mentioned in itinerary..if we ask them they are blaming on corona .. then why did they accepted to show us in first place ..I got cheated by these people for Cochin trip...

I do not recommend to organise your trip with Southern Travels Pvt Ltd : waste of money, waste of time before leaving, waste of energy arguing during the trip, no help in case of need. Southern Travels operates Chardham Yatra from Delhi by a 27 seater bus. We booked it online and the process was smooth. Checkin hasslefree. They give a "boarding pass" and all details of the trip. Phone numbers of bus driver, guide, Delhi office (24 hrs). Bus leaves around 9.30 pm. They show Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, Badrinath, Five prayags (confluence of rivers) and many temples on the way. Reasonable hotel accomodation. Very good vegetarian food as given in the itinerary. Guide/tour manager is very knowdedlegible, courteous and efficient . Driver was very efficient. Overall, the trip was very memorable and very efficiently arranged and handled. After Rishikesh air conditioning in the bus is stopped as the entire journey (nearly 90%) of the total journey is in ghat roads. Better to carry dust masks as a lot of road expansion activity is going on. We went by helicopter to Kedarnath (highly recommended). Carry some extra cash as ATMs can be tricky. If you dont want to travel by bus, you can ask Southern Travels to arrange a car (which follows the bus and stops at the same hotels and food places). For people who are heavy set or overweight, bus travel can be a real pain.
