Triskelee Farm is a small family working farm in West Linn, Oregon. We offer educational farm tours, parties, preschool, camps and more! We grow leafy greens in our organic aquaponic greenhouse, and raise animals for eggs, milk, fiber, and meat. We have alpacas, goats, ostriches, sheep, rabbits, peacocks, and more!
The name Triskelee is derived from the ancient Celtic symbol Triskele meaning things of three. For our family, it represents the three generations of our family that came together in 2018.
We are now a gathering place for our community. Offering a place to connect, learn, grow, and share.
Our goal is to share healthy and sustainable food while educating all ages on how food gets to the table. Food doesn't come from the store, it comes from a farmer!
Through learning the unique skills of carding alpaca fiber, milking goats, making cheeses, creams, and soaps , and bringing new life to the farm we have embraced the joys, challenges, and laughter of building our life and farm together. Come visit our animals and let us share what we have learned so far! We are conveniently located 30 minutes outside of Portland.

Then, you’ll be shown the hatchery where you’ll help your baby out into the world. Ready for a one-of-a-kind experience? Insta-Gator Ranch tours will teach you all about the history of the American Alligator, the Alligator Protection Program, and how Insta-Gator Ranch helps alligators in the wild. Our general admission tours for groups of less than 25 are priced as follows:
12 Years & Under: 15$ 13 Years & Up: 21$ 65 & Up: 19$
We also offer a military discount. Check out our Gator Ranch Tours page for more information.
In the late 1950s, the wild alligator population dropped to unacceptably low numbers of about 150,000. So the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries created the Louisiana Alligator Protection Program.
This program allows Ranchers to harvest eggs out of the marsh, with the understanding that 17% of those hatched must be returned to the marsh once they reach an average size. The program’s continued success has so dramatically increased the population that, through the years, the alligator return rate has been reduced substantially. Learn more about the Alligator Protection Program here.
Each tour runs around 45 minutes and has a maximum of 70 people per tour. Group numbers over 70 will be split into separate tours. The number of tours in your group will increase time required by 45 minutes per additional tour.

Words we live by, as farmers ..
These beliefs guide us day in and day out, from sunup to sundown. If you have a moment, please read. Who knows? Maybe they’ll inspire you to go out and live off the land like we do.
I believe a man’s greatest possession is his dignity, and that no calling bestows this more abundantly than farming.
I believe hard work and honest sweat are the building blocks of a person’s character.
I believe that farming, despite its hardships and disappointments, is the most honest and honorable way a man can spend his days on this earth.
I believe farming nurtures the close family ties that make life rich in ways money can’t buy.
I believe my children are learning values that will last a lifetime and can be learned in no other way.
I believe farming provides education for life and that no other occupation teaches so much about birth, growth, and maturity, in such a variety of ways.
I believe many of the best things in life are indeed free: the splendor of a sunrise, the rapture of wide-open spaces, the exhilarating sight of your land greening each spring.
I believe true happiness comes from watching your crops ripen in the field, your children grow tall in the sun, your whole family feel the pride that springs from their shared experience.
I believe that by my toil, I am giving more to the world than I am taking from it, an honor that does not come to all men.
I believe my life will be measured ultimately by what I have done for my fellowman, and by this standard I fear no judgment.
I believe when a man grows old and sums up his days, he should be able to stand tall and feel pride in the life he’s lived.
I believe in farming because it makes all this possible.
Cabot Creamery Co-op
Liberty Hill Farm is one of the voices representing the family farm owners of Cabot Creamery Co-operative. We take great pride in spreading the word about the great Cabot products to whoever will listen. Fortunately for us, the products speak for themselves. Cabot Cheddar Cheese has won every major award for taste and our Cabot Butter is a blue ribbon winner too.
Liberty Hill and Cabot Highlights Liberty Hill Farm participates in Cabot’s Open Farm Events held over the years and our story is available on Cabot’s website, among the online virtual farm tours . Beth and our cow, Larue, were featured in a Cabot Creamery Co-operative commercial that aired on TV. View the Hug a Farmer video here. In December 2013 Beth went with other Cabot Farmers on the Cabot Creamery Co-operative Gratitude tour in New York City to tout the Cabot goods—singing their praises from the rooftops!
The One & Only Robeth Holstein Herd Robeth —a combination of our first two names—is the coined prefix for our registered herd. Robeth Holsteins are known for their excellent genetics and have been honored with the Progressive Breeder Registry Award from the Holstein Association for the past 30 years. While the numbers vary, we generally have 320 head of animals all together: cows, calves and heifers, with 120 of those being the milking cows.
Good Cow Genes When we bought the farm from John Hunt, a premier dairy breeder in the 1920s and ’30s, he had a cow named Pearl—a direct descendent of the famous Maryland dairy herd named Dunloggin. Most of our current herd descends from Pearl. Our cows’ lineage has been traced back to the 1880s when they were imported from Holstein Friesland, an area between Germany and the Netherlands.

Great place, hidden gem, worth the travel, value for money, well kept.

The friendly staff are always cheerful and ready to assist. Lullymore is indeed Ireland's own green jewel, offering an enriching and immersive experience.
This is a superb location with a wide range of fun and informative aspects - learn about bogs and peat, ancient Irish heritage, Irish Christian heritage, the 1798 Rebellion, the Famine and much, much more.
We were greeted by Ray for our short visit to this attraction. The site tells an important part of Irish history and includes practical demonstrations of peat cutting and the history of the industry.
Came here with my 5 year old for her friends birthday party. Couldn't fault the service, we told them the child's name upon entry and that was that. The staff were so friendly and good with the kids.
A huge thank you to the staff at Lullymore, and a special thank to Myra,Kevin and Marie. We had our school tour with you yesterday and you all looked after us so well. The children and a fantastic day.

Where to See Farm Animals around Portland
Most kids love animals of all kinds, and taking the kids to meet farm animals is an easy, fun and educational outing. We are lucky to have some great options near Portland where you can get up close and personal with animals. Read on for some of our favorites.
Triskelee Farm
Triskelee Farm is a PDX Parent favorite. Experience farm life by reserving a guided educational farm tour that takes you up close and personal with their lovely farm animals. Their working farm raises animals for eggs, milk, fiber, and meat. They have alpacas, goats, ostriches, peacocks, and more. You’ll even get a chance to feed some! You can read our review of our visit here .
The Pumpkin Patch
Although it’s only a short drive away, you’ll feel like you’ve entered a farming oasis when you cross the bridge into Sauvie Island to check out The Pumpkin Patch . The Pumpkin Patch’s barn is stocked with kids’ favorite barnyard animals. You’ll see an alpaca, goats, chickens, bunnies — even peacocks! Above each animal’s stall, you’ll find a sign with interesting facts about them. You can also do some u-pick, from berries in the summer to pumpkins in the fall. Open daily June-October. The Animal Barn is free to visit.
Another great Sauvie Island option is Topaz Farm . There are animals like mini donkeys, a mini cow, mini goats, pigs, chickens, turkeys and ducks, plus they have a great farm store and grill. You may also book a birthday party with the animals, or visit on one of their family-friendly Americana Harvest Nights. Or plan your visit around u-pick season, and leave with regeneratively farmed produce and flowers. It’s free to visit the animals when they open for the season in June, but they also host special ticketed events in the spring if you just can’t wait.
Frog Pond Farm
With over five acres, Frog Pond Farm has plenty of space to visit with goats, llamas, donkeys, alpaca, camels, chickens and more. Their Farm Walk Abouts happen May-September, Pumpkin Patch from Mid September-October, and Holiday Experience and Tree Farm is from November-December. You can read a review of our trip here . In addition to their regular yard games, they also have a play structure with five slides and a mini climbing wall. Admission $12/person ages 2+. You may also buy cups of feed for an up close encounter with the animals.
Flower Farmer
Combine meeting farm animals with another kid fave — a train ride — at Flower Farmer in Canby. On the weekends, the miniature train will take you out to see the animals, including chickens, rabbits, a goat and an alpaca, and the driver will hop off to tell you more about them. The farm store and outdoor area has a fun, vintage feel, and the staff is friendly and welcoming.
Portland Goat Parties
If you want to get even closer and more personal with animals, book a time to visit the goats (often adorable baby goats) at Portland Goat Parties in the Scholls area of Beaverton. Rather than a walk-through visit, this is an hour-long slot to hang out with, pet and feed the goats.
The Belmont Goats
To visit and brush goats for free, check out The Belmont Goats ! During visiting hours at their lot in North Portland, you can get up close and personal with the goats, or you can drop by to see them through the fence at other times. Follow them on social media to get the latest updates. Donations appreciated when you visit.
Hood River’s Draper Girls Country Farm
You can also head east to Hood River’s Draper Girls Country Farm . In addition to lots of opportunities for fresh u-pick and they-pick fruits and veggies, they’ve got goats. You can purchase a small packet of goat food for a few dollars if you want to have the goats really eating out of your hands. Or you can just watch them climb and chew. Definitely bring a picnic for you and your crew. They’ve got lots of tables and chairs for you to sit at while you enjoy the unbeatable view of Mt. Hood. There’s also a large wooden swing, big enough for two or three kids to play on.
Mountain Peak Llamas and Alpacas
You can meet sweet Napoleon, Jean-Pierre, Andre, Diego and Rodrigo at events around town. Check the Mountain Peak Llamas and Alpacas website or Facebook page to see where you can say hello.
Old McDonald’s Farm
Old McDonald’s Farm , a nonprofit in Corbett, aims to educate youth about farm animals, agriculture, gardens and natural resources. Gather a few friends for the morning chores package, an intense educational program where kids can learn how to feed and care for all types of livestock. They also offer less intense options, Saturday programs and host special events throughout the year.
Zenger Farm
Located on an old dairy farm in the Lents neighborhood, Zenger Farm is now cow-less. It remains an animal haven though, with volunteers tending to chickens, worms and bees. Keep on top of their events on their website . They offer open farm days, farm camp, farm school and field trips.
Goldendale Reindeer
If you’re up for a drive, check out Goldendale Reindeer Farm in Washington. You may feed the reindeer and turkeys during their Reindeer Experience. Read our review here .
Rock Creek Farm
When Portland Community College is open to the public, community members can tour the Rock Creek Farm , with its goat, alpaca, cows, bunnies and chickens. There’s also a playground! Free, but contact PCC to make an appointment.
The Farm Place at Packer Orchards
The Farm Place at Packer Orchards is another fun spot for meeting farm animals. Check the website and Instagram account for the latest updates.
Alpacas of Oregon
Alpacas of Oregon is a family friendly farm in Sherwood. Enjoy hands-on experiences with their friendly herd. They’re open by appointment; schedule by calling 503-348-6958.

Ultimate Dog Sledding Tour and Meeting with 120 Huskies
Languages available: French, English, Spanish, Russian (choice during the check-out)
Meet your guide in the morning and get onboard a minibus to go outside of Russian capital to turn your day into a snowy marvel. Your destination point is one of the biggest dog kennels in Russia, located in a picturesque area on the shore of Moscow River.
Once you are there, the fairytale starts with a warm welcome of Natalia, the owner of the Village, who is passionate about looking after huskies for 10 years. She will tell you about the wonderful history of northern dogs’ breeds and about their adventurous lives next to great explorers. Right after inspiring stories and warm tea, time will come to meet the dogs. This place is not a zoo, it is a place where abandoned and lost dogs found their home, where they can train and eat properly, and, of course, where they can show their absolute love for humans.
After hugging 120 huskies, you will be shown how to prepare a sled by the professional “kayur” (the instructor who is driving the dog sled). And here your adventure starts.
4-Kilometer package (capacity 12 people):
You go for a 4km ride in the heart of the snow-covered forest alongside the river. If you are a big group, you'll go separately (in groups of 3 to 4): while some go for a ride on the sleds, others enjoy their time tubing from the hill, walking around, sitting by the fireplace near the tipi glamping area or visiting the farm with goats, geese, chickens and black Vietnamese pigs.
17-Kilometer package (capacity 6 people):
You go for a 17km ride in the nature (about 2h). You will cross the woods on sleds, ride along the river, and will even stop for a hot tea and some cakes in the middle of the excursion: the best way to enjoy this unique dog-sledding experience!
When your trip is done, Natalia will welcome you to enjoy a traditional Russian lunch with hot herbal tea and freshly cooked “oladushki” (Russian pancakes). Moreover, in a café you will be able to buy some homemade cookies and souvenirs.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: This tour requires a certain amount of snow as the sleds can be used only on snow tracks, which are prepared especially for dog-sledding. If there is not enough snow, we do another popular Russian activity : Dog Trekking. You go for a 5-km walk in the nature with a husky-dog in front strapped to you. A great experience shared with the dog you’ll be going with!
You're traveling in summer? No problem! Come meet the dogs with us with our summer dog-trekking tour! Discover it here .
