This all-inclusive three-and-a-half-pearl hotel just off the Marmaris waterfront is an attractive hotel with solid amenities. The 190 guest rooms are ample in size with modern decor, but the bathrooms are small and some visitors find their layout awkward. All units have balconies, some with sea views, and come equipped with AC, flat-screen TVs, minibars, kettles with free tea and instant coffee, and slippers. Highlights among features include a pleasant spa, a nice stretch of beach, two on-site restaurants, all-day and evening entertainment, and a kids' club. However, a deposit is required for beach and pool towels, and the Wi-Fi signal can be weak. Travelers looking for accommodations in the area who don’t want an all-inclusive can consider Hotel Marbella. 

Hotel Cettia Beach Resort

This stylish midsize four-pearl hotel located right on the Marmaris waterfront is adults-only in the summer months, with a quieter, more relaxed atmosphere than some other all-inclusive hotels in town. Green Nature Diamond Hotel

This all-inclusive, four-pearl resort on the Marmaris seashore is big and bustling with couples and families of various nationalities. Its 639 guest rooms are spacious, and all feature balconies, about half of which have full or partial sea views. Standard amenities include flat-screen TVs, minibars, and kettles with free tea and instant coffee. The beachfront location, large pool, and spa are highlights, and there are multiple restaurants and bars (some extra charge) on-site, too. Though there are activities most days and nights, some guests say the entertainment offerings aren’t quite up to par. However, the location is less-than-ideal, as the property is a few blocks inland from the beach. Some activities and small-scale shows are organized around the good-sized pool area, and there’s a spa and gym on-site. D-Resort Grand Azur

This stately four-and-a-half-pearl resort on the Marmaris seafront has a tranquil feel, with lush gardens, a white-sand beach, and a full range of features, including a well-reviewed steak restaurant. Its 324 guest rooms are attractively decorated, comfortable, and well-equipped. Kids activities and shows are a bit more limited than at other big resorts in the area, and drinks are only included in full-board packages at meal times. Julian Club Hotel

The stunning city break with 'endless sunshine' that's £142 cheaper than Jet2

A fter a long, dreary winter, and with spring almost here, many of us will be daydreaming about jetting away for a spot of sunshine by now. Luckily, Travel Republic has us covered with the launch of a payday sale on a host of sunny getaways, including Spain and Mauritius, offering discounts on both flights and hotel stays .

The stunning city of Marmaris in Dalaman , Turkiye (formerly spelt Turkey), is an ideal destination with its endless sunshine and resident turtles. According to My London , you can book a stay at the three-star Sebnem Apartments (which has a 4. 5 rating from 432 reviews on Tripadvisor) through Travel Republic for seven days starting May 1, The cost is £402 for two people, or £201 per person . When we checked Jet2 for the same dates, it was £343 per person - that's a saving of £142. (Prices are accurate as of March 1, 2024).

Besides sunbathing and enjoying the sunshine, there's loads to do in the lovely city of Turkiye. The beach is known as the "Turquoise Coast" and it's really pretty, especially the main Downtown beach.

But if you go a short drive, just 15 minutes from the centre of Marmaris, you'll find Icon Beach with amazing views and it's not too crowded. You can see turtles and have fun in mud baths too.

Highlights include the Dalyan River Cruise, Turtle Beach and Mud Baths , which has great reviews (182 4.5-star ratings), it will cost you £26. 09. You'll be picked up from your hotel, enjoy an included lunch, and return travel as part of the excursion. Mud baths are good for relaxing and making you feel less stressed.

Turtle Beach is described as a "special place where salt water and fresh water meet". If you're lucky, in the sea you might spot big Loggerhead Turtles swimming around. There's also the famous ancient Caunos Tombs of the Kings in Dalyan. The UNESCO World Heritage site is a stunning display of ancient architecture, with the tombs along the Dalyan River carved directly into the cliffside.

Marmaris has more than 300 restaurants , so choosing somewhere to eat can be a bit overwhelming. However, the Marmaris Traveller has put together a list of cool places to eat - including the best Marmaris Steak ( Jimmy Martini's Restaurant & Steakhouse ) and best seafood ( Kalimera ).

VAI Resort reveals its new target opening date and hints at surprises to come

After confirming it will not open in late 2024 as scheduled, VAI Resort shared an additional statement revealing a slightly more specific timetable.

Staff also teased a future announcement hinting at more features at the $1 billion, 1,100-room, 60-acre hotel and entertainment complex under construction near State Farm Stadium in Glendale. Such an annoucement would add to a long list of attractions that includes a concert amphitheater, 5 acres of artificial beaches and the Mattel Adventure Park .

In its previous statement, VAI said "delays in our timeline" forced them to push the opening date back from 2024. The resort aims to redefine Arizona tourism , but a VAI spokesperson said the challenge is "building something that has never been seen in the hospitality space takes time."

Is the VAI Resort opening in 2024?

No. VAI Resort's website has been updated with its new target opening date.

When is VAI Resort opening?

"The property will open in the back half of 2025," a VAI spokesperson said.

Why will VAI Resort take longer to open?

The spokesperson said VAI's delay involves new additions to the project but did not provide specifics. They hinted at a future announcement.

"We added some exciting elements to the property as the concept evolved that require additional time to finalize," the spokesperson said. "We will be announcing these developments soon and look forward to sharing more details with you."

When VAI bought the property from Crystal Lagoons in 2022 , plans for the hotel called for 630 rooms. The project evolved to encompass 1,100 rooms across four towers, which would make VAI Arizona's largest hotel.

VAI Amphitheater first was planned as an 8,000-capacity venue. When resort staff announced in February that Live Nation and C3 Presents would promote the amphitheater's concerts , they also said the amphitheater would now seat 11,000 people.
