With Pre-Order , you can purchase the latest items added to our store in advance of them arriving with us.

Your Pre-Order is prioritised (at no additional charge); meaning that as soon as the product arrives with us, we can wrap it straight back up; ready for collection via Click & Collect or despatch to you — it often never even hits the stock room shelves!

With Pre-Launch , the date when we expect to receive the product ourselves is still a little too hazy to be confident in accepting Pre-Orders.

So, instead, you can submit your email address against the item you are interested in and we will email you as soon as stock arrives on the system.

Estimated Delivery & Collection Dates are given on Pre-Order and Pre-Launch products. They are for indication purposes only and can change at any time without notice.

The dates we provide are based on indications given by our suppliers. Whenever we get updated information from our suppliers we will endeavour to update the Estimated Delivery & Collection Dates provided on product pages.

If you are not happy with any items purchased via our website, under Consumer Contracts Regulations you have the right to return any unused products for a refund or exchange within 30 days.

When the customer sends an item back to the company (or, when the company arranges for collecting from the customer), the company will process the returned item then notify the customer via email of the refund. The refund will be issued within 3 - 5 working days of the product being received by us, it may then take an additional 3 - 5 working days for the refund to be paid into the customers account.

For items returned within the cooling off period...

  • By law, customers have the right to withdraw from the purchase of an item within 14 working days of the date on which the item is delivered.
  • Where you are withdrawing from your purchase within the cooling-off period, and there has been no error on our part, we will refund the cost of the item.
  • The company will not refund the cost of delivery or other services provided to the customer in connection with the purchase.
  • The cost of delivery back to the company is the responsibility of the customer.
  • Where we collect an item from you, we reserve the right to recover the costs of collection from you.

All products ordered from Team Cycles come with a full warranty which covers manufacturing faults and defects in workmanship. If you feel that your purchase has developed a fault, please contact our store for an assessment. To do this you will need proof of purchase.

If taking your product in store is not an option then please email our team on [email protected] . Please include photographs of your product (please keep below 20mb), your web order number (or copy of receipt) so we can immediately start to assess the issue.

Six of the best… bike computers, handlebar-top computers for all budgets, bontrager trip 300 (£44.99).

Even though bike computers are becoming more and more like smartphones, you can still get your hands on something small, smart and basic if you really want.

Bontrager’s Trip 300 is a great example of a basic little unit with classic functions: current, average and maximum speed; trip distance and odometer; clock; current, average and max heart rate; current, average and maximum cadence (although heart rate and cadence require compatible ANT+ sensors).

And that’s almost that, really. The Trip 300 comes with its own mount, but is compatible with Bontrager’s Blendr integrated stem mount (which is really rather smart, by the way, and also works with the Ion 700 front light), and it’s also compatible with the DuoTrap integrated speed/cadence sensor which you can spec on Trek bikes almost all the way across the board.

Hi all, I'm new here and also pretty new to the world of cycling. I've had my Trek 1.1 for a year or so and recently bought a Bontrager Trip 300 as it looked an ideal entry level computer for my social rides. I might be missing something very obvious but I can't get it to do anything other than tell me the time! Am I supposed to buy other parts for it to tell me my speed & distance etc or am I being very think and missing something obvious in the manual? Any advice would be greatfully received and hopefully I haven't tested the theory that there's no such thing as a stupid question on this forum! Gk09

Thanks both. The instruction manual is easy to follow, unfortunately the computer doesn't seem to do the same as the book says! When it gets to the point of saying 'new trip: yes or no' there is only a 'no' option. I saw that too Recycling. I read it that the ANT+ sensor was to read cadence but you could still use the computer for distance, speed etc without it. I may well have assumed wrong.

Maryland couple on a ‘lifelong dream trip’ are among the 1,300 pilgrims who died in Saudi Arabia heat

A Maryland couple on their “lifelong dream” trip is amongst the more than 1,300 pilgrims who died after extreme heat hit the Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia.

Alhaji Alieu Dausy, 71, and Haja Isatu Wurie, 65, died while on the pilgrimage to Mecca, according to Maryland Senate candidate Angela Alsobrooks . She added that Wurie, a campaign volunteer, was a very active member of her local community.

“She was involved in several community organizations, making transformational impacts that were felt both locally and globally,” Alsobrooks wrote.

Alsobrooks said it was with “heavy hearts” that the campaign team learned of the news of the deaths of the Bowie, Maryland, couple.

“Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with their families during this difficult time. Their loss is profound, and they will be deeply missed,” Alsobrooks added.

This year, roughly 1.8 million pilgrims arrived in the holy city of Mecca and walked long distances amid a deadly heatwave with temperatures exceeding 125F (51C).

The couple’s daughter also spoke to CNN after learning of her parent’s deaths in Saudi Arabia during Hajj . The Hajj is the annual Islamic pilgrimage to the Holy City of Mecca. It is mandatory for those who practice Islam to do it once in their lives.

”All we know is that it was natural causes, and someone from the U.S. Embassy advised the natural causes could have been due to heat stroke, which, based on the temperature, people were saying it was over 110 degrees," their daughter Saida Wurie told CNN .

"There are millions of people and they have to walk long hours. It was more than likely it was heat stroke for both of my parents."

Saida told the outlet the trip was a lifelong dream for her parents, who had saved their whole lives for the experience. She estimated they spent $23,000 on a travel package for the event.

Saida Wurie told CNN she believed her parents were not given proper transportation for their trip, saying she last heard from her parents on June 15 when they had been waiting for hours for transport to take them to Mount Arafat.

The couple had decided to walk instead to join fellow pilgrims and others in their tour group, but the pair appeared to go missing on Mount Arafat after her father needed to take a break along the journey.

The US Consulate in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, confirmed the couple’s deaths as “natural causes.” Officials also told the family the couple had been buried.

Saida told CNN she and her siblings are doing everything they can to find her parents’ burial place.

They are among the 1,300 who have died during June 14 to June 19 event. Saudi health minister Fahd bin Abdurrahman Al-Jalajel said 83 percent of the total fatalities were unauthorized pilgrims who arrived in the city without a permit, as the Islamic desert kingdom faced criticism over poor management.

Speaking with the state-owned Al Ekhbariya TV, the minister said 95 pilgrims were being treated in hospitals, some of whom were airlifted for treatment in the capital, Riyadh. He said the identification process was delayed because there were no identification documents with many of the dead pilgrims.

He said the dead were buried in Mecca, without giving a breakdown.

More than 1,300 people died during Hajj, many of them after walking in the scorching heat

CAIRO (AP) — More than 1,300 people died during this year’s Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia as the faithful faced extreme high temperatures at Islamic holy sites in the desert kingdom, Saudi authorities announced Sunday.

Saudi Health Minister Fahd bin Abdurrahman Al-Jalajel said that 83% of the 1,301 fatalities were unauthorized pilgrims who walked long distances in soaring temperatures to perform the Hajj rituals in and around the holy city of Mecca .

The fatalities included more than 660 Egyptians. All but 31 of them were unauthorized pilgrims, according to two officials in Cairo. Egypt has revoked the licenses of 16 travel agencies that helped unauthorized pilgrims travel to Saudi Arabia, authorities said.

The officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to brief journalists, said most of the dead were reported at the Emergency Complex in Mecca’s Al-Muaisem neighborhood. Egypt sent more than 50,000 authorized pilgrims to Saudi Arabia this year.

Saudi authorities cracked down on unauthorized pilgrims, expelling tens of thousands of people. But many, mostly Egyptians, managed to reach holy sites in and around Mecca, some on foot. Unlike authorized pilgrims, they had no hotels to return to to escape the scorching heat.

In a statement Saturday, Egypt’s government said the 16 travel agencies failed to provide adequate services for pilgrims. It said these agencies illegally facilitated the travel of pilgrims to Saudi Arabia using visas that don’t allow holders to travel to Mecca.

The government also said officials from the companies have been referred to the public prosecutor for investigation.

According to the state-owned Al-Ahram daily, some travel agencies and Hajj trip operators sold Saudi tourist visas to Egyptian Hajj hopefuls, violating Saudi regulations which require exclusive visas for pilgrims. Those agencies left pilgrims in limbo in Mecca and the holy sites in scorching heat, the newspaper said.

The fatalities also included 165 pilgrims from Indonesia, 98 from India and dozens more from Jordan, Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria and Malaysia, according to an Associated Press tally. Two U.S. citizens were also reported dead.

The AP could not independently confirm the causes of death, but some countries like Jordan and Tunisia blamed the soaring heat. AP journalists saw pilgrims fainting from the scorching heat, especially on the second and third days of the Hajj. Some vomited and collapsed.

Historically, deaths are not uncommon at the Hajj, which has seen at times over 2 million people travel to Saudi Arabia for a five-day pilgrimage. The pilgrimage’s history has also seen deadly stampedes and epidemics.

But this year’s tally was unusually high, suggesting exceptional circumstances.

In 2015 a stampede in Mina killed over 2,400 pilgrims , the deadliest incident ever to strike the pilgrimage, according to an AP count. Saudi Arabia has never acknowledged the full toll of the stampede. A separate crane collapse at Mecca’s Grand Mosque earlier the same year killed 111.

The second-deadliest incident at the Hajj was a 1990 stampede that killed 1,426 people.

During this year’s Hajj period, daily high temperatures ranged between 46 degrees Celsius (117 degrees Fahrenheit) and 49 degrees Celsius (120 degrees Fahrenheit) in Mecca and sacred sites in and around the city, according to the Saudi National Center for Meteorology. Some people fainted while trying to perform the symbolic stoning of the devil .

The Hajj, one of the five pillars of Islam, is one of the world’s largest religious gatherings. More than 1.83 million Muslims performed the Hajj in 2024, including more than 1.6 million from 22 countries, and around 222,000 Saudi citizens and residents, according to the Saudi Hajj authorities.

Saudi Arabia has spent billions of dollars on crowd control and safety measures for those attending the annual five-day pilgrimage, but the sheer number of participants makes it difficult to ensure their safety.

Climate change could make the risk even greater. A 2019 study by experts at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology found that even if the world succeeds in mitigating the worst effects of climate change, the Hajj would be held in temperatures exceeding an “extreme danger threshold” from 2047 to 2052, and from 2079 to 2086.

Islam follows a lunar calendar, so the Hajj comes around 11 days earlier each year. By 2029, the Hajj will occur in April, and for several years after that it will fall in the winter, when temperatures are milder.
