Nice place to get stuff.bit more expensive than the others and found their pre rolled are definately not as good as other shops.seem a bit light on bud heavy on the tobacco.badly loaded.

Great variety, decent weed to price ratio vs. Other options in the center. I bought the Lemon which was lovely. Not much for sitting here. They have a few seats but for sure not a place for groups. Best option if you need to grab a bag next to Amsterdam central station.

Weed is the same quality as at coffeeshop centraal (50m next to it) but more expensive. Asked for some filter tips (usually 50ct, was charged 3 euro). Not a bad shop but if you value your money there are other options. Faster service than at centraal when that place is crowded.

Very nice coffeshop. The lady with the curly hair was very nice and even gave me advice on the local specialities. The prices are fine too, considering how close the shop is to major points of the city. Most of the things listed in the menu are not for my taste but what I’ve got for the price I paid was satisfactory enough. I will come next year too!

Solid quality flower and some of the nicer pre-rolls I had in the city for some pretty good prices. Only downside is not having anywhere to smoke inside, but otherwise it was clean and organized with friendly and helpful staff.

Great location, very close to central station. A nice selection at good prices and they have some nice edibles, the seating area is somewhat small with only 2 seats, so if you’re lucky enough to get one then well done!

Decent selection of items on the menu. Indica prerolls are on point. The location is to-go so you can't smoke inside but still offers space to roll.

I expected more. I heard a lot about this shop and decided to visit it. The price's were ridiculous and the herb i got was of medium quality, good but totally not worth the insane price. If their prices would improve I would reconsider going... The staff was ok but barely paid attention to us and we were the only people there at the time.

Came here for the space cakes only as I had just read they just took 2nd place in the 2018 Cannabis Cup. Cakes were good but not as powerful as I’d hoped for. I do however have a huge tolerance and should have just doubled up. I can say though the taste of the edible was one of the best I’ve ever had. Will be back!

Coffeeshops of Amsterdam: Voyagers (Hotel)

All the best Coffeeshops in Amsterdam, as rated by what Lilly Likes!

Today we have something a little bit different to the norm. This coffeeshop isn’t technically a coffeeshop at all: but is a hotel. The business operates as a hotel business with an open minded feel, that just-so-happens to have a coffeeshop on the ground floor. The fact that the coffeeshop is better known and loved than the hotel upstairs, seems to be a part of the parcel that makes up Amsterdam culture. Remember, weed is tolerated in Amsterdam, but they still class it as a drug.

Now… you can book into the Voyagers hotel and stay with them for the duration of your visit. They don’t do breakfast, they don’t do parking, they don’t do anything other than provide you with a fairly basic (but very clean) room to sleep in. They do single, double, and triple rooms, with standard prices starting from €75 per night. You can choose to stay with them and use it as a base of operations for the rest of Amsterdam – but be warned, the stairways are tight. You might even stay somewhere else and visit the coffeeshop, the two are not mutually exclusive.

Before we get tucked in, we invite you (cordially) to come and have a look at our blog. We have reviewed a bunch of different coffeeshops of Amsterdam, each of which you can read through when you have a minute, and you fancy a laugh. We have covered everything from Coffeeshop Smokey’s to Stone’s café and bar. If coffeeshops don’t tickle your fancy then you probably aren’t that interested in Amsterdam, nevertheless there are a bunch of different attractions on our pages that will help you plan an action-packed itinerary.

Let’s get down to business and review Coffeeshop/Hotel Voyagers by our usual exacting standards.

Atmosphere and Vibe

With a hotel upstairs, you would be forgiven for thinking Voyagers Coffeeshop was as minimal as the rooms they offer. They are within five minutes’ walk from Centraal Station – which every hostel claims to be, but which they actually are. Inside sports the traditional saloon-style mix of browns and leathers, cream walls and wooden floorboards.

From the outside, Voyagers Hotel perches on the corner of the street. Its name is in lights, its rooms are bright, its coffeeshop less so. It has a great atmosphere, with most of the late-night smokers nice and relaxed, ready to fall into their conveniently located upstairs rooms. We like the serenity of it, even though it is in the city centre – it is a calming, soothing place to be.

We gave the Voyagers Coffeeshop a 4 out of 5 for atmosphere and vibe. If it were more clearly defined as one thing or the other, it would work better. When you split the focus of your business, things become a little uncertain. This uncertainty leads to customers avoiding you.

Munchies and Drinks

The coffeeshop under Voyagers doesn’t serve breakfast. The website is absolutely clear on that. It’s not even that they don’t provide it – they don’t serve it because it doesn’t exist. The kitchen facilities in the Voyagers Hotel and Coffeeshop simply don’t have the capacity. As a result, they have no food that can’t be supplied in packet form which has been brought in from outdoors. They might sell you some cake, but other than that the pickings are slim.

As for drinks, you can get the full variety of tea, coffee, cappuccino, or hot chocolate. You can have a cold drink, a fizzy one, or a bottle of water. Other than that, you really are on your own. It’s fine if you are here for a smoke, not so fine if you are here to stay with them. That being said, they are perfectly located for you to take advantage of the many, many, many bakeries in the city centre.

Overall, the lack of foodstuffs led to a miserly 3 out of 5 for munchies and drinks. They make up for it in strains though, don’t worry.

Products/Edibles (420)

We have finally reached everyone’s favourite part of the review… where we get down to the real business at hand. Coffeeshops in Amsterdam aren’t supposed to display their menus on their sites, so we (and the rest of the world) use this nifty little site , instead. You don’t have to head there though; we have the rundown right here.

When you visit the Voyagers Coffeeshop, you can choose from:

• Cali Strains like L.A. Pop Rockz, Melonade or Gelato 33.
• Sativa Strains such as Tangie, Super Silver Strawberry and Amnesia Haze.
• Indicas like Rolex O.G. Kush, Kosher or Vanilla Kushes.
• Hybrids that are a half-and-half split, like Super Mango Haze, Gorilla Cookies or Purple Glueberry.
• Lemon Haze Hashish, Tangie Hash and Green Crack.
• Tobacco and pure joints in pre-rolled form, with options in strain.
• Space cake for the non-smoker. They have a super strong muffin or a medium strength muffin.

So it’s fairly safe to say that the Voyagers Hotel and Coffeeshop have weed strains all wrapped up. The choice in pre-rolled joints is particularly impressive, since most places just have them with or without tobacco as the choice.

We gave them a 5 out of 5 for Products/Edibles (420). They deserve it.

Café Merchandise

As to merchandise, what is there on offer? Well the hotel isn’t the sort of place you would want to steal the towels from. We have a feeling they would chase you for them. On the other hand, the coffeeshop is a bare bones smoking place, without too many food or drink options, either. No matter which way you cut it, Voyagers is a no-frills establishment. From the little robot logo to the art-free walls. While we love this in its own way, we are loathed to admit that it means there is a lack of merchandise here. Beyond the normal skins and lighters, you will be lucky to pick anything up.

We gave them 4 out of 5 for their merchandise because they have the minimum.

Lilly Likes Verdict

So now we reach the ultimate decision… does Lilly Like Voyagers, or is it all just a bit too much? Nah – of course she likes it! It’s a good place to get the basics in for not-too-shabby prices. They do not do refunds; they do not do breakfasts… but they do have some decent weed strains and they have won the Cannabis Cup in the past – despite being a hotel.

All in all, we awarded 16 out of 20 for this location. Lilly Likes Voyagers coffee shop , it’s a little bit out there, but that’s the kind of thing that interests us. If it interests you too, be sure to put it on your itinerary for your next trip to Amsterdam.

3. Tweede Kamer – Heisteeg 6

Le Tweede Kamer a ouvert ses portes en 1985. Rapidement devenu l’un des noms familiers d’Amsterdam, le Tweede Kamer est toujours dirigé par son propriétaire d’origine et dispose d’un personnel incroyablement compétent. Certains d’entre eux y travaillent depuis près d’un quart de siècle ! Célèbre pour sa qualité supérieure de Hashish importés et locaux et leur grand choix  de variétés de weed de la plus haute qualité.

Si vous aimez être là où les Amstellodamois sont, alors c’est l’endroit où aller ! Juste à côté de la place Spui, en face de l’entrée latérale du Café Hoppe (l’un des plus anciens cafés de la ville, qui date de1651 !), c’est un petit magasin qui ne peut accueillir que 20 personnes, ce qui rend presque impossible de ne pas parler avec ses voisins. Une tasse de leur café Lot 61 accompagne à merveille leur muffin “spécial” !

Probablement un des coffeeshops les plus sérieux d’Amsterdam !

4. Coffeeshop DNA – Achillesstraat 104

Le coffeeshop DNA est un très bon coffeeshop du sud d’Amsterdam. Réputé pour sa gamme de prix et ses locaux tout juste refaits, il propose 4 comptoirs et dispose d’un petit lounge. Connecté à Amsterdam Genetics, vous pouvez vous attendre à des génétiques et des  spacetry de qualité !

5. Sensemillia Osdorp – Meer en Vaart 177

Le Sensemillia Osdorp Coffeeshop est situé dans la banlieue ouest d’Amsterdam, l’un des quartiers les plus beaux et les plus luxuriants de la ville. C’est le coffeeshop le plus à l’ouest d’Amsterdam et se trouve sur le Sloterpark, un grand et beau parc avec de nombreux sentiers de randonnée au bord du Sloterplas, un des plus grands lacs de la ville.

Le Sensemillia Osdorp se trouve à l’étage d’un bâtiment moderne juste, au-dessus d’un restaurant haut de gamme appelé le Grand Café. Il y a aussi un restaurant cantonais dans le même bâtiment.

La boutique elle-même est assez standard pour un coffeeshop néerlandais. Une fois que vous passez le comptoir et que vous vous dirigez vers l’arrière du Sinsemilla Osdorp Coffeeshop, vous trouverez une terrasse extérieure qui peut accueillir les fumeurs, avec une vue imprenable sur le Sloterplas.

6. Katsu – Eerste van der Helststraat 70

Katsu est bien plus qu’un simple coffeeshop. Non seulement il mélange les expériences du coffeeshop avec celles d’une véritable galerie d’art, mais il embrasse aussi le concept de “par les fumeurs, pour les fumeurs” comme aucun autre endroit. Si vous appréciez les aventures uniques, alors venez profiter des merveilles que le Katsu a à offrir !

Dans les années 80, le Katsu a commencé comme une véritable boutique des pionniers locaux. Leur terre natale du De Pijp résonne toujours de cette vieille ambiance d’Amsterdam. Malgré une métamorphose radicale qui a récemment propulsé Katsu au 21e siècle, le lieu est encore imprégné des traditions du bon vieux temps. Certains des vétérans de Katsu sont là depuis 25 ans et constituent un trésor de connaissances et de conseils pour vous orienter vers les bonnes choses !

Les vibrations délicieusement moelleuses du Katsu permettent aux touristes de goût et aux gourmets locaux de se détendre et de profiter d’une grande sélection d’excellentes variétés de hasch et de weed. Tous les produits vendus ont été testés de manière par un personnel professionnel. N’hésitez pas à discuter avec eux, car les racines sociales qui ont fondé la scène d’Amsterdam sont toujours l’un des principaux atouts de la boutique.

Le Coffeeshop The Corner est le plus petit coffeeshop de la ville. En 2019, le Corner a été rénové et a agrandi sa gamme avec des variétés classiques mais aussi de nombreuses nouvelles variétés exclusives. Tout le monde est le bienvenu pour profiter de l’ambiance détendue et les employés sont toujours heureux de répondre aux questions des clients. Cette boutique est l’endroit idéal pour un petit passage avant d’aller à la rencontre d’Amsterdam.

8. The Stud – Molukkenstraat 581

Une atmosphère chaleureuse complétée par une ambiance aussi conviviale que les prix constituent la base de ce véritable coffeeshop d’Amsterdam à la réputation légendaire. Le Stud est situé à l’est d’Amsterdam, à côté de la Johan Cruijff Arena, l’un des points de rassemblement des fans de football de l’AFC Ajax depuis 1982. Aujourd’hui, c’est un véritable coffee de Premier League offrant une belle gamme de types de hasch et de weed dont certaines spécialités comme la Kosher Kush et la Shoreline.

Si vous appréciez une tasse des meilleurs coffees hollandais, ne cherchez pas plus loin : The Stud a quelque chose pour vous. Le menu suffit à mettre un sourire sur un visage, et des vaporisateurs sont à disposition, tout comme le WiFi. Le Stud a été élu meilleur coffeeshop des Pays-Bas en 2015.

9. Voyagers Coffeeshop & Hotel (Amsterdam CS) – Geldersekade 2h

Le Voyagers est l’un des coffees les plus proches de la Gare Centrale. Plongé dans un style néorenaissance, la Voyagers propose aussi un super où vous pouvez dormir à un prix abordable. Le Voyagers coffeeshop s’est imposé comme une des belles destinations d’Amsterdam, avec une carte pourvue en fleurs et en haschisch mais qui peut changer quotidiennement. La Amnesia Haze vaut le détour, à la fois par caractère et pour son prix, la moins chère de la ville.

10. Paradox

Le Paradox est un petit coffeeshop très confortable. Le magasin se trouve près du Rozengracht et près de la maison d’Anne Frank dans le quartier typique d’Amsterdam appelé “The Jordaan”. Vous pouvez marcher directement depuis le centre pour prendre une bonne tasse de café ou de jus, avec des herbes et du hasch de qualité.

Beaucoup de locaux passent leur temps ici pendant la journée, lisant les journaux et/ou discutant avec d’autres, tout en profitant des produits du coffee. Le Paradox propose toute l’année son Alaska ice hash , avec un prix moyen pour toute la carte de 12€ .

Voyagers Coffeeshop is located just to the southeast of the main entrance to Centraal Station. This is an especially high trafficked part of Amsterdam given that Centraal Station is the entry and exodus point to the city for a large number of its visitors each and every day. Maybe so, but Voyagers sits on a less busy street corner at the northern tip of the Geldersekade canal. This location offers a respite from the hustle and bustle. It is quite nice.

Voyagers coffeeshop is part of the budget smoker-friendly Voyagers hotel. It is found at the front of the building, and consequently the budtender also functions as the hotel receptionist. The entrance to the hotel is on the side, however, so the main entrance here is devoted principally to the coffeeshop. This hotel is quite popular with smokers. Many of those that book here undoubtedly do so to take advantage of its proximity to the downstairs coffeeshop.

The coffeeshop itself is not large by most standards. The tall narrow construction common to old city buildings is apparent here. Voyagers exists only on one level, on the main floor of the building. There is an open room in the front, with sufficient seating on most afternoons. Also, you will find an enclosed smoking lounge to the side. The décor is sparse, but the space is comfortable and down-to-earth. Further, there is clearly a “retro arcade” theme to its branding, as evidenced by the Space Invaders character that serves as the shop mascot. The gaming geeks in us just wish they would make good on it with an arcade. But we digress.

The vibe inside Voyagers tends to be chill, and highly accommodating to serious connoisseurs. This is reflected  in the ready-access to quality glassware as well as a Volcano vaporizer in the shop. Let’s face it. This is a requirement these days if you want your coffeeshop to be taken seriously by connoisseurs. And that is exactly what Voyagers aims to be, by our observation.

As for the cannabis menu, it is another reflection of Voyagers’ focus on connoisseur level product. While the selection is not extensive, this establishment does receive a great deal of attention for its quality. They mainly sell weed, often contemporary genetics from the USA. The coffeeshop has definitely been partnering with quality breeders. Likewise, they often have a menu with competition-winning selections on it. We recognize this shop as a connoisseur establishment; a distinction well deserved.

Voyagers is a small shop close to Amsterdam Centraal Station. Though they have a couple of small areas for seating, this serves mainly as a take-and-go establishment. This is a popular shop for its size. The draw: a reputation for connoisseur grade cannabis. They have earned this recognition through partnerships with established competitive cannabis breeders (you’ll see some highly recognized contemporary strains here). Pricing also tends to be quite reasonable. This is an excellent coffeeshop, worth a special trip.

My last visit was on easter Saturday, the shop was busy but very fast service. I was served by a very nice man and woman. Every strain was delicious and the lady even gave me a free clipper. I have never had a bad experience in voyagers, in over 10 years. Highly recommend.
