Exploring the expansive world of ARK Survival Ascended is exhilarating for many players. Yet, there are occasions when reaching your destination swiftly becomes a priority, whether due to impatience or gameplay considerations such as safeguarding rare items. 

While fast travel is a common feature in various games, does ARK Survival Ascended offer such an option, and if so, how does it function? This question will be addressed below as we examine the presence of fast travel in ARK Survival Ascended and explore how this mechanic operates in the game.

ARK Survival Ascended Fast Travel: How It Works

As of the current writing, the fast travel system in ARK Survival Ascended is only partially functional. Essentially, players can fast travel between beds they own, but there's a significant drawback – all items are dropped during the fast travel process. Consequently, when spawning at the destination, players find themselves without access to their items and weapons, posing a considerable challenge for many players.

To address this limitation, some players turn to mods that enable full teleportation or fast travel within the game. Among these, the Teleporters mod by seaofblood_xhui stands out, boasting tens of thousands of downloads and establishing itself as the most trusted mod for complete teleportation of both items and dinos in ARK Survival Ascended. While not a vanilla feature, it proves effective for those willing to experiment.

Alternatively, players can opt for flying mounts as an alternative to teleportation or fast travel. The game offers a variety of flying mounts with different speeds, allowing players to choose the dino that best suits their needs. Flying also introduces a range of mechanics to enhance the journey, such as gathering resources, picking up dinos, and discovering previously missed locations.

Although this alternative doesn't match the convenience and speed of a dedicated fast travel feature, it serves as a decent substitute for now. Developers have hinted at ongoing content updates for the game, leaving the possibility open for a future introduction of a more robust fast travel system. As of now, fast travel remains a partial feature in ARK Survival Ascended. Fast Travel without dropping items

I was previously on this forum for editing food items. Thanks to everyone I made my first few mods: BigStacks :3

Now I’ve come for some help on a new mod. I want to be able to fast travel without dropping all my things. I want to live north east, but I want to be able to mine from north west. I really don’t want to spend my time flying from one spot to another. Can I have some help on how to do it. I know my way around the kit just not coding if that’s what it comes too.

I think it would involve changing the class of the bed to not drop items, if it has to be changed through code the only thing i could see it being is changing a yes to a no, but I am also new to all this just trying to take a crack at helping you, I am at work right now but as soon as I get home Ill crack open that dev kit and try to get you an answer maybe you could post a screen of the beds class tree while Im gone?

I havent been home to check the devkit yet but if i had to guess itd be in the graph which basically lets you change small bits of the code through menu option choices Im assuming since this is how the brain system in project spark worked

Fast traveling without dropping all your items would allow you to farm with ease, meet up with others more efficiently, and give you safer ways to explore, especially with more regions releasing. So, can you fast travel in Ark Survival Ascended ?

Is there Fast Travel in ASA?

Considering ASA is an upgraded version of Ark Survival Evolved , including features like wild baby dinos, wireless crafting , and keeping your items when you fast travel makes sense. While wild babies and wireless crafting made the cut, enhanced fast travel still isn’t available . You’re able to fast travel from one bed to another, but your items remain behind. This is a huge inconvenience, especially when you typically need your weapons to survive.

Riding a pteranodon is extremely quick, allowing you to get from one location to another without the hassle of navigating through water, weaving between trees, or fighting carnivores. Another bonus is you get to keep your items, even loading some extra weight into the dino’s saddle. However, finding and taming one, as well as crafting the saddle, takes time. It’s simply no replacement for fast travel mechanics where you keep your items.

Teleport Mods

A great replacement for the feature comes from various mods that implement it. The most notable is the Teleporters mod by seaofblood_xhui . It comes with multiple bubble sizes for the teleporter and can transport yourself and your dinos — or just the dinos. With over 40,000 downloads in the game and 52,000 on Curseforge, it’s the most popular means of fast travel for ASA. I downloaded it and have used it myself.

Even though fast travel included in the game isn’t the greatest, thanks to some modders, we can fast travel quickly, keep our items, and enjoy Ark Survival Ascended . There are sure to be more mods to come, as well, once previously available options get updated for the new version.

The Simple Bed is a structure that acts a spawn point and fast-travel location for players and their Tribes . Players can respawn here upon death, or fast-travel to and from it using another bed. Laying on a bed will heal faster than not.

When a player dies, they can choose to respawn at any Simple Beds that they own, instead of using the standard "random respawn" feature (although this option is still available). The respawn map that the dead player sees will show map markers at all available beds.

Note: You lose Creature Implants (Mobile) when you fast travel. You cannot revive dead tames after implant is lost.

Painting and Color Regions [ ]

The Simple Bed is not currently paint-able, however this object may be re-mapped to include paint regions in a future update.

• Simple Beds can be placed on foundations and ceilings.
• Simple Beds can be renamed through the radial action menu. This will make it easier to sort through multiple beds when selecting a respawn or fast-travel location.
• Remember that in Hardcore mode there are no respawns, and you lose your character (and therefore tribe membership) upon death, so the Simple Bed and Sleeping Bags are only used for Fast-Travel.
• The player-character "Lay on Bed" action is not enabled on Primitive+ .
• Players are able to respawn in a non-placed bed if a tribemate selects the bed.
• The Simple Bed is treated as a thatch structure and can be damaged by anything except non-explosive ranged attacks.

Guide: all the ways to fast travel in lost ark.

Welcome to the Traveling Guide for Lost Ark. Arkesia is a big, big map with a nearly infinite number of POIs. So it’s important to know the best ways to get around. After all, with so many quests, upgrades and rewards up for grabs, the last thing you want is to waste hours upon hours with unnecessary travel time. Let’s take a look at some of the most efficient and convenient ways to fast travel.

Triport 

Triport is the first way you’ll be able to quickly travel around Arkesia. If you’re a beginner, you’ll need to first go to Prideholme where you can activate your first Triport. Simply walk up to the stone and interact with it. Once activated, you’ll be able to quickly travel back to that same Triport with the click of a button no matter where you are throughout that continent. Remember, Triports will not let you travel between islands. Also, they will cost you some silver each time you travel.

Crystalline Aura

If you want to use Triports without spending silver, you can always purchase the Crystalline Aura from the in-game store. This will allow you to utilize fast travel for free. Crystalline Aura lasts for 30 days before it expires. However, you can always purchase it again. Keep in mind this costs real-world money — about $10 USD. If you’re a serious Lost Ark grinder, you can always opt for the 180-day Aura which will run you about $50 USD.

If you’re a beginner and you acquired Crystalline Aura from the Founders Pack, or you received a complimentary Twitch drop from your favorite streamer, it’s recommended that you save it for later. Once you reach Level 50, Aura is far more useful since you’ll have a better understanding of the upgrade strategies so you can get more use from its travel perks.

Bifrost is an incredibly useful tool for efficiently completing quests around Arkesia. Instead of being forced to relocate to a specific area with a Triport, Bifrost will let you set any location as a return spot. All you’ll need to do is spend some silver. Keep in mind, Bifrost is only achievable once you reach Level 50 and even then you’ll only be granted 1 free slot. Bifrost Keys will let you unlock more slots, giving you even more options for relocation. Once you reach Level 60, you have the opportunity to unlock your first free Bifrost Key. Crystalline Aura also comes into play here. If activated, it’ll grant you an additional 2 Bifrost slots.

Each Bifrost location is saved indefinitely and you can only change a specific slot every 24 hours. Simply open up your Bifrost menu and clock “Move” to change its location. If you want to change it before the time expires, you’ll have to spend 50 Crystals. 

As you near the endgame on the main story, you’ll come across the “Set Sail!” quest. Once completed, you’ll earn your very own ship. This allows you to set off into the vast oceans around Arkesia. Although sailing is quite fun and can even feel therapeutic, it’s not exactly the quickest way to travel. You’ll roughly be moving the same speed as your mount. But sailing allows you to do what your mount cannot, which is move from island to island. You can also set an auto-route for your ship allowing you to sit back and watch as you sail directly to your destination. 

To get the most out of your sailing experience, you should swap out your crew as you embark on various challenges and quests. Each crew member has different benefits they contribute to your ship. 

No matter where you are in Arkesia, you can quickly teleport to your ship by opening up your world map. For a little Silver, hit the “Ready to Sail” button on the bottom left corner of your screen to instantly travel to your dock. Once you’re in the dock menu, you can also utilize the Triport mechanic to fast travel to your activated locations. 

Ocean Liner

If you don't fancy yourself a sailor, or you just don’t have the time to slowly traverse the open seas, you can always hop on the Ocean Liner. To unlock this benefit, look for the Ocean Liner guide along the main story quest which will offer plenty of useful information on how this convenient form of fast travel works. This service is located at many of the major ports around Arkesia so you can dock your boat and immediately hop on the Ocean Liner. 

Once you choose your destination, you’ll have to wait about 30 seconds for the ship to depart. Also, it’ll cost you about 2,000 Silver. In the end, this is a fairly affordable price to pay for fast travel. However, with Crystalline Aura activated the Ocean Liner cost is reduced by 50%. 

Songs are a series of useful tools that offer a wide variety of benefits to your character’s progression. As long as you’re following the main quest line, you’ll achieve most songs naturally. Some of the most useful songs are the ones that allow you to fast travel around Arkesia.

Song of Return

In the capital cities around Arkesia, you’ll notice a blue colored Triport called a Portal Statue. You can set your Song of Return to this area to travel back anytime. Song of Return has the highest cooldown (60min) of all songs. 

Song of Trixion

Traveling back to Trixion is important for getting important upgrades such as your Awakening Skill or when you’re ready to turn in a new Ark. Play this song and you’ll be there in no time.

Song of Escape

When you finish a dungeon quest, or to leave any finite area without a teleport, you’ll utilize Song of Escape to leave the area and return to exactly where you were before. 

Song of Hearth and Home

If you need to get to your Stronghold to start a new Research quest or craft some potions, use the Song of Hearth and Home. To leave, you’ll need to use the Song of Escape.
