OASIS announced their epic comeback yesterday with a cheeky clip of Noel and Liam Gallagher kissing.

Guitarist Bonehead is also seen in the 90-second video of past gigs — and it was confirmed he will join the band’s hugely anticipated 14-date tour.

Oasis announced their epic comeback yesterday

As the brothers make up after a 15-year feud , the X/Twitter video ended with them laughing, joking — and the peck on the lips.

A note added: “The guns have fallen silent, the stars have aligned, the great wait is over. Come see.”

Tickets for the shows in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin go on sale on Saturday morning.

None will be televised, the band revealed yesterday.

Insiders told The Sun that extra concerts will be announced once this run sells out.

A total of 1,066,888 tickets will be available over the 14 gigs with demand set to be four times that.

A source said: “These shows will sell out in less than three minutes. Extra dates will be added for sure.”

Bonehead , real name Paul Arthurs, was part of the original 1991 line-up.

The 59-year-old is close pals with the brothers and played on Liam’s Definitely Maybe tour this summer after overcoming tonsil cancer in 2023.

Some of Noel’s High Flying Birds band will also feature in next summer’s Oasis line-up.

A source said: “Bonehead is confirmed. They both wanted him in the fold and he was one of the drivers of the reunion. Noel has brought in some of his band too.

“The Oasis family has really come back together. Bonehead is ecstatic.”

HOW LONG CAN IT LAST?

By Joanne Kavanagh NOEL and Liam’s feuding stretches back 30 years and is among music’s best known. Here’s a recap.

September 1994: Noel temporarily quits after Liam throws a tambourine at him.

Summer 1995: While recording (What’s The Story) Morning Glory, Noel reportedly hits Liam over the head with a cricket bat.

August 1996: Liam pulls out of an MTV Unplugged gig, heckling his going solo brother from the audience.

May 2000: After Liam questions the legitimacy of Noel’s daughter Anais, he quits again. He returned, but did not complete their European tour.

June 2005 : At the Heineken Jammin’ Festival in Italy, Liam leaves the stage during Champagne Supernova. Noel tells Spin magazine: “He’s actually frightened to death of me.”

April 2009 : Noel calls Liam “the angriest man you’ll ever meet” in Q mag, adding: “He’s like a man with a fork in a world of soup”.

August 2009: Oasis pull out ‘V’ Festival gig at the last minute. Liam reportedly had laryngitis but Noel claims he’s “hungover”.

Late August 2009: As the band prepare to play in Paris a row breaks out and, as we reported, Liam wields Noel’s guitar “like an axe”. The tour is axed. Noel states: “It’s with some sadness and great relief to tell you that I quit Oasis.”

June 2017: After the Manchester terror attack Liam slates Noel for not attending the Old Trafford tribute gig. Noel’s camp say he was out the country.

Bonehead said of a reunion last year: “I’m ready, got me dancing shoes.”

Music insiders told The Sun how excitement levels between the Gallaghers reached fever-pitch at 8am yesterday when an online post confirmed Monday’s Sun story that Oasis were reforming.

Last night Wembley’s famous arches were lit up in blue and white in a nod to Noel and Liam’s devotion to Manchester City .

Noel, 57, was spotted outside a North London studio yesterday. Liam, 51, performed at Sunday night’s Reading Festival .

New photographs of the pair were also published, with insiders telling The Sun the top-secret snaps were taken three weeks ago in London.

A second source said: “Once the deal was signed seven weeks ago, Noel and Liam confirmed they would meet in person for a shoot.

A kiss from a 90s clip in yesterday’s promo

“The shoot happened around three weeks ago and the few people in the room signed non-disclosure agreements to stop it leaking.

“Noel and Liam haven’t had an easy relationship but they were very comfortable with each other.

“They were messing around and having a laugh. You could feel the magic and chemistry. Being with them in that studio felt like being transported back to the 1990s.”

The band’s founder Alan McGee yesterday told Virgin Radio that the brothers’ mum Peggy, 81, was a major reason for the reunion.

Noel and Liam haven’t had an easy relationship but they were very comfortable with each other and were messing around and having a laugh Sun source

He said: “I’m sure she is behind the whole thing.

“Peggy is great, she is rocking on.”

He added of the brothers: “They’re really professional. I don’t think it (falling out) will be an issue.”

Insiders also said Liam and Noel’s children were key in the shows coming together.

Noel’s daughter Anais, 24, was with Liam before he went on stage on Sunday.

She is also close to Liam’s sons Lennon, 24, and Gene, 23, who said earlier this month they had discussed their parents reforming Oasis.

Gene said of Anais: “We have jokes about it. She knows what her dad is like and I know what my dad is like. Hey, we’re a big happy family everyone.”

Tickets for the tour will go on sale on Saturday at 8am in Dublin and 9am for the UK.

The band start at 74,500-capacity Cardiff Principality Stadium on July 4 and 5.

Next will be 80,000 Heaton Park in hometown Manchester on July 11, 12, 19 and 20.

Oasis play Wembley Stadium on July 25, 26 and August 2 and 3

Oasis will play to 90,000 sellouts at Wembley Stadium on July 25, 26 and August 2 and 3.

Then come Edinburgh’s 67,144-capacity Murrayfield Stadium on August 8, 9, and Dublin’s 82,300-seater Croke Park on August 16, 17.

On Monday, Spotify revealed that streams of Oasis music had rocketed by 160 per cent globally in a week thanks to fans listening to songs from their eight No1 albums.

Music sources have told The Sun that bands including Fontaines DC and Kasabian are among acts being discussed to open the shows.

A source said: “Opening for Oasis is the hottest ticket in town.

“Talks are ongoing with groups like Fontaines DC and Kasabian, as well as Gene Gallagher’s band Villanelle who opened for Liam’s Definitely Maybe tour.

“As Liam would say, the chance to perform at those shows would be ‘biblical’.”

Stars who got back together

THE BEATLES : FOURTEEN years after the death of John Lennon in 1980, surviving members Paul, George and Ringo reunited for The Beatles Anthology project.

SPICE GIRLS: POSH, Scary, Baby, Sporty and Ginger topped the charts in the ’90s, but Geri Halliwell left in 1998. They got back together in 2007.

ABBA : THE Swedish megastars rose to prominence after winning 1974’s Eurovision with Waterloo. They made their last album in 1981 but returned with ninth LP Voyage in 2021.

TAKE THAT: THE boy band rose to fame in the ’90s, releasing their biggest hit single Back For Good in 1995. But they split up a year later, returning without Robbie Williams in 2005 with new single, Patience.

Ticket con fear

FANS were warned to be alert to ticket scams after it was estimated Taylor Swift followers lost about £1million to fraudsters.

Lloyds Bank fraud prevention director Liz Ziegler warned against buying tickets on Facebook or other social media platforms and said buyers risked losing all their money if they paid by bank transfer.

Reported scam cases relating to concert tickets increased 158 per cent last summer compared with the same period a year earlier.

Ms Ziegler said: “Hot on the heels of Taylor Swift’s UK tour, fraudsters will be anticipating another run of sell-out shows next summer.

“Missing out on these landmark gigs would be devastating for Oasis fans who have waited so long for this reunion. But you can be sure that criminals are getting ready to Slide Away with their cash.

“Most of these scams begin on social media, where impostors create fake profiles to sell non-existent tickets. The simple rule for fans is always to stick to official ticketing platforms and avoid deals which look too good to be true.”

All tickets will go on sale on Saturday 31 August. The Dublin dates will be on sale from 8am and the UK dates will go on sale at 9am .

But fans can now register to be in a pre-sale ballot until 7pm (UK time) on Wednesday.

Successful applicants in the ballot will be informed on Friday via email with full access information, however, this does not guarantee fans a ticket as they are still sold on a first come first served basis.

Tickets for UK performances can be bought from the following sites:

• ticketmaster.co.uk • gigsandtours.com • www.seetickets.com

For the Ireland dates you need to go to ticketmaster.ie .

Be warned: you must register

The band's official website has "strongly advised" anyone hoping to purchase tickets to register in advance of the sale with the relevant ticket agencies.

Top tips for getting tickets

The ticket sites offer key advice for fans looking to have an edge over others in the race for in-demand tickets.

Here's a summary of their biggest tips:

• Don't wait until Saturday morning to register. This will mean you have plenty of time to get your account set up with all the right billing and delivery information • Verify your account. You have to add your phone number and confirm a one-time passcode with new accounts for protection. You only need to do it once • If you already have an account, double-check it. It's worth logging in before Saturday just to check you know your password, your delivery and billing information is all correct, and to ensure you've already completed your one-time passcode • Make sure your card details are already saved to avoid last-minute scrambling • Get your phones and laptops charged before the deadline • Make sure you're happy with your internet connection. Private WiFi is best, and if that isn't working, Ticketmaster advises using your mobile data over public WiFi, which it says is "usually the least reliable" • Don't refresh the page while in a waiting room. Ticketing sites use a queuing system when they get busy, meaning you get put in an online waiting room with other fans. They warn that refreshing the page won't move you further up the line, and that the page itself updates automatically. So once you're in, wait it out...

How many tickets can I buy and how expensive could they be?

You can get a maximum of four tickets per transaction, and you aren't permitted to sell them for more than you bought them for, according to event organisers.

The price of tickets hasn't been announced yet, though the Manchester Evening News has reported they are expected to exceed £100.

Back in 2009, just over a month before Oasis split, the band performed at Wembley Stadium and charged £38.50 plus VAT (which at the time was 15%), meaning the total cost was just over £44.

When Sky News put those numbers into the Bank of England's inflation calculator, the total was £68.02 - which is still considered low nowadays.

Do you even deserve tickets?

Since the announcement, social media has been flooded by debate about who this concert is really for.

"What's your favourite B-side?" - an eligibility test being used by people who "were at Knebworth".

Die-hard Oasis fans who were there in the 90s will say they are the ones who most deserve to get their hands on tickets.

"Imagine waiting 15 years for Oasis to reform only to lose out on tickets to Chloe, 21 from Stockport who just wants to hear Wonderwall live", one X user posts.

In response, another writes: "Obsessed with all the men creating fictional young women who they might lose out on Oasis tickets to."

Analysis by Gemma Peplow , culture and entertainment reporter

"Like most kids, my parents influenced my music taste growing up, from Bruce Springsteen and Tina Turner to the Rolling Stones.

"Kylie Minogue, obviously, was also a big feature in my cassette collection.

"But Oasis were the first band that felt like mine, not music I'd inherited.

"As a teenager I listened over and over, studied the album covers, and went on to see them live five times, each gig holding different memories and anecdotes. For those of us who grew up with them, they embodied our youth, the spirit of the '90s.

"But that doesn't mean these gigs belong to the older fans, which, like it or not, is the bracket I fall into now. You only have to see all the teenagers and younger adults at Liam's solo shows to see how Oasis's songs resonate with different generations. The music has stood the test of time, which can only be a good thing.

"Those gatekeeping fans are most likely the same as those complaining about how all music is rubbish these days. Well, you can't have it both ways.

"If I'm lucky enough to get tickets, I hope to be singing along with bucket-hat wearing fans of all ages."

Oasis have announced their long-awaited reunion tour , 15 years after the infamous backstage bust-up between brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher.

The Manchester-formed group, one of the defining rock bands of the Nineties, split in 2009 after a fiery row in Paris and have not played together since.

In a highly anticipated message, the band announced a run of 14 shows in the UK and Ireland next summer.

“The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised,” the band said.

The dates in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin will be Oasis’s “only shows in Europe next year”, it’s been confirmed. Find details on how to get tickets here.

There have been a number of hints in recent months, not least a surprise interview last week where Noel offered some rare praise of his younger brother. Both he and Liam have enjoyed successful solo careers since their split – Liam as a singer-songwriter and Noel with his band the High Flying Birds.

With the 30th anniversary of Definitely Maybe just days away, here’s The Independent ’s Mark Beaumont making the case for why Oasis have chosen the ideal moment to reform:

Why this is the perfect moment for an Oasis reunion

Rumours of a Liam-Noel reunion have dragged on for as long as a soppy soap storyline but with a renewed love for Britpop and the 30th anniversary of ‘Definitely Maybe’, Mark Beaumont makes the case for why 2024 is the ideal moment for Oasis to reform

John Lennon once said The Beatles were “more popular than Jesus”. A controversial claim, perhaps, but can it really be true that the return of Oasis will be bigger than Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour mania? One music expert thinks so:

Oasis ticket demand will ‘absolutely dwarf’ that of Taylor Swift, says music expert

The demand for tickets to see the rumoured Oasis reunion will “absolutely dwarf” that seen for Taylor Swift’s tour, a music expert has said. Noel and Liam Gallagher seem poised to announce a shock, long-awaited reunion tour on Tuesday 27 August, 15 years after the notorious fallout between the two brothers put the band on hiatus. If they announce a comeback. former music journalist and DJ Kevin McManus believes the fight for seats will be bigger than what any artist has ever experienced. “Taylor Swift is obviously the big deal this summer, but I think it’s going to absolutely dwarf that,” he told ITV News.

Manchester promises ‘good party right across the city’ to celebrate Oasis reunion

Bev Craig, leader of Manchester City Council, who represents the Burnage ward, where the brothers grew up, said the news of the band’s reunion was “massive”.

She told the PA news agency: “I think Oasis is one of Manchester’s most iconic bands in the modern age, and obviously we’ve been working hard behind the scenes to make sure that this could come off, and that they’d be able to play in Manchester in a fantastic homecoming gig.

“And I think it’s just really, really great. It’s great for the city, the city’s changed a lot since Oasis were last together, hopefully significantly for the better on the world stage, but we’ll still be really happy to be host to the two Burnage boys as they reunite and come together in (council-run) Heaton Park.”

She added: “I think the whole city will be excited next summer, and I think we’ll no doubt see lots of events and activities that will sit alongside this and really, I think, celebrate it for the moment that it is.

“So I think we’ll make sure that we put on a good party right across the city for people to enjoy.”

Fans concerned about Oasis ticket prices and whether reconciliation will last

Glaswegian David Walker, a leading member of the Oasis Collectors Group, told the PA news agency that he also remains worried about if Liam and Noel Gallagher will make it through their tour without another bust-up .

He said: “You wonder if they’ll make it through the tour, how are they going to rehearse? There’s been so many little infractions with them, you wonder, like, is the old stuff going to come up again?

“But no, ultimately, right now, very positive and yeah, it’s what the people want. It’s what, arguably, Britain might want right now, because, everyone’s fairly depressed and don’t have a lot of money.

“ As long as the tickets are, you know, reasonably priced, I suppose, which they probably won’t be, because there’ll be so much demand, there’s talk of like, 10 nights at London, which that might only be the tip of the iceberg. There might even be more than that.”

How to buy tickets

Tickets for the UK dates go on sale from 9am on Saturday, August 31 and will be available from Ticketmaster , www.seetickets.com and www.gigsandtours.co m .

The official tickets will likely sell out very fast but there's always resale sites. Ticketmaster has fan resale where you normally can get resale tickets face value. Twickets is another option for this. You can also get fan-to-fan resale on sites like viagogo and Vividseats.

Viagogo and Vividseats disclaimer

Sites such as Viagogo and Vivid Seats allow fans to buy resale tickets from other fans. However, it is important to note that many event promoters say tickets should not be resold after initial purchase and will not be valid for admittance to gigs. Fans attending live events with tickets acquired through resale websites are advised to double-check the ticket terms and conditions at the point of sale - such as Ticketmaster or Live Nation - to ensure a smooth live event experience. Tickets could be voided if they were found to be bought second-hand. As a result, fans are buying at their own risk. With that said, Viagogo also commented: "Viagogo is a regulated marketplace where fans have the guarantee."
