In the days following Thanksgiving, shoppers can look forward to incredible discounts on everything from luxury department store finds to airline gift cards . But just because Black Friday and Cyber Monday are in the rearview mirror doesn't mean the deals are done.

According to the farecasting app Hopper, there could be as many as 18 deals per second on Tuesday, Dec. 3 — also known as Travel Deal Tuesday.

Hopper, which analyzes more than 25 billion flight and hotel prices a day, said there could be more airfare sales on this day than Cyber Monday and Black Friday combined, offering travelers an average savings of 40%.

But it's not just prophecy. Airlines, online travel agencies, cruise lines, hotels and tour operators have been jumping on the Travel Deal Tuesday train, and these savings can really add up — especially if you go through an online shopping portal and pay with the right credit card. A few of our top picks include the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card, which earns 2x miles on every single purchase, no matter when or where, and the Chase Freedom (No longer open to new applicants) , which earns 5% back after you enroll each quarter, on up to $1,500 in quarterly rotating categories (fourth quarter 2019 categories are department stores, PayPal and Chase Pay).

Qatar Airways is offering discounted fares from $545 on flights booked between Dec. 3 and Dec. 4 for travel between Jan. 11 and May 19, plus Privilege Club offers. Think $545 round-trip fares from New York-JFK to Cyprus; flights to Bangkok from $685 from Washington, D.C. (IAD); and Philadelphia to Singapore from $680. If you're booking through Qatar — or taking advantage of any of the following deals directly from an airline — be sure to pay with The Platinum Card® from American Express for 5x points.

Hopper is offering cash-back deals when you book round-trip flights to eight destinations from the U.S. or Canada, including Auckland, New Zealand; Bali, Indonesia; Tokyo, Japan; and Kauai, Hawaii. Most travelers can expect to receive $50 back, but book a flight to the Czech Republic and you'll score $200. You can stack this with already discounted fares, as Hopper is anticipating savings up to 57% on these major tourist destinations.

Air New Zealand's " Takeoff Tuesday " sale includes serious markdowns on flights from major U.S. cities to New Zealand, Australia, the Cook Islands and London, England. We found $879 round-trip flights from Los Angeles and San Francisco to Auckland, for example, plus round-trip tickets from Los Angeles and San Francisco to a handful of cities in Australia starting at $888. You can also fly Air New Zealand from Los Angeles to London for just $439 round-trip.

Dreaming of a trip to the Maldives? Book The Standard, Maldives — the brand's newest property — for just $222 per night (if you book four nights or more) by Dec. 3. You have one day left to take advantage of Celebrity Cruises' Cyber Monday deal : A free onboard perk (think: a classic beverage package, free unlimited Wi-Fi, prepaid tips or $150 per person to spend on board) in addition to a $100 credit per person in your stateroom to spend on everything from drinks to specialty dining and spa treatments. Emirates flights are on sale for two more days, so travelers can fly from New York (EWR) to Athens for $489, New York-JFK to Milan for $439, or to Dubai, Cape Town and Johannesburg for less than $800 from a number of major U.S. hubs.

Until the end of the day on Dec. 3, travelers can book Royal Caribbean cruises and enjoy 60% off a second person, add kids for free and get $300 in "instant savings" ­— so if you haven't ever cruised before, 2020 might be the time to try.

Over at Norwegian Cruise Line, it's the entire week that's on sale , so you still have a few days to get cruises — all of them, in fact — for 30% off, plus you can bring kids for free and enjoy a handful of complimentary perks like an open bar, specialty dining, shore excursions and Wi-Fi at no extra cost.

Book any guided trip with Intrepid Travel before Dec. 5, and your entire 2020 adventure will be 20% off the standard rate . Looking for an even wilder experience? Select adventure cruises and expeditions to Antarctica are selling for 30% off.

Travel Tuesday boasts savings on flights, hotels, cruises and more: how to score the best deal

Travel Tuesday is taking off, and that next great vacation could be just a click away.

"We're expecting to see more deals available today than on Black Friday and Cyber Monday combined," Hayley Berg, lead economist for the travel app Hopper, told "Good Morning America."

"There will be great deals on flights, hotels, rental cars and vacation homes today," Berg said. "If you're planning a trip for 2024, today is one of the best days of the year to book and score deals on future trips."

Whether you're looking to take a trip with the family or enjoy a weekend getaway with friends, there are plenty of ways to plan and save so you don't have to break the bank.

Hotels are slashing prices on rooms, including some holiday stays. Marriott is offering up to 20% off through Tuesday only for stays through January 15. Also, travelers who are enrolled in the free One Key rewards program from Expedia and Hotels.com can get at least 30% off travel through 2024.

If you have your sights set on Europe, Hopper is offering great deals on hotels there.

"We're going to be offering up to 50% off hotels exclusively on the hopper app in destinations like Rome and Paris," Berg shared of the 80 dream destinations and over 10,000 hotel properties offering discounts without blackout dates or restrictions.

The Points Guy CEO and founder Brian Kelly told "GMA" that flight deals are even better now than during previous Travel Tuesdays.

"Because the airline industry is slowing down, air fares are starting to come down. And something we would have never thought a year ago [is] airlines struggling to fill seats," he said.

Southwest is offering 30% off some fares, while Frontier extended its all-you-can-fly annual pass at its lowest price of $499 through today.

Over 100 of Hopper's airline partners will be offering deals on Tuesday, including $50 round-trip fares from New York LaGuardia to Orlando, Chicago to San Juan for $160 round trip, and Los Angeles to Rome for as low as $480 round trip.

If an oceanfront vacation is more your style, Virgin Voyages – one of many cruise lines discounting trips – is offering up to 30% off fares.

"MSC cruises are an up and comer, they're offering really robust deals," Points Guy's Kelly said, adding that "Holland America is also offering 30% off select cruises."

Top Travel Tuesday Tips for Savings

Clint Henderson, managing editor at The Points Guy, offered more tips for "GMA" to help travelers score the best deals on Tuesday and possibly beyond.

"There are already some nice little flight and hotel deals that will run through Travel Tuesday -- or even longer," Henderson encouraged. "Right now you can fly Southwest for 30% off. Alaska Airlines is offering flights beginning at $39 or as few as 4,000 miles, Delta is offering deals on flights and mileage redemptions all over the world, and American Airlines has flights as low as $69."

In addition to utilizing travel expertise from TPG where the best deals are compiled in one spot, Henderson said simple flight searches on Google can help with sifting through flashy limited-time deals.

"The best way to track historic prices is by using Google Flights. If you put in the flight it will tell you if it’s low or high compared to normal prices. It’s one of our favorite tools at TPG," he said.

Another potentially unexpected way to save is taking advantage of "vacation packages from airlines and/or online travel agencies." For example, Henderson found savings of up to 40% off with AAVacations and DeltaVacations when you book flights and hotels together.

"Also check your credit card offers. Sometimes Amex or other credit card companies will offer you bonuses or cash back for some retailers," he encouraged. "Don’t’ forget to start your booking at a shopping portal for maximum savings."

Overall, he suggests "if you see a deal, jump on it. They go fast these days."

"Otherwise you can wait 1 to 3 months before a trip for domestic itineraries and 3 to 5 months out for international trips for best prices," he continued.

As Berg mentioned, Hopper app users can check out the sale page, where Hopper has highlighted the best deals available.

You can also set price alerts on Hopper for the destinations or hotels you're eyeing, which Berg recommended for keeping track of the best deals in real-time. Simply click 'Watch' on the app for destinations or hotels of interest, and Hopper will notify you when a good deal is detected.

You can also take advantage of Hopper's flexible booking options, which include 'Cancel and Change for Any Reason' and 'Flight Disruption Guarantee,' adding the flexibility to book now and then change or cancel plans later, if necessary.

Berg also said Hopper has over 500 travel partners confirmed to be participating in Travel Deal Tuesday this year. So if there is a particular airline you prefer or hotel you've been eyeing, Berg said Tuesday is the ideal time to check for a deal.

"Airlines such as Aer Lingus, Air New Zealand, American Airlines, Fiji Airways, Icelandair, PLAY Airlines, and many more will have special offers today," Berg said. "Hotels such as Caesars Entertainment, Encore Boston Harbor Resort & Casino, Fontainebleau Hotel Vegas, MGM Resorts, Nemacolin Woodlands Resort, The Equinox Golf Resort & Spa, Vermont, Wyndham Destinations and many more properties around the world will have discounts up to 50% off available to book on Hopper today."

If you're not ready to book on Travel Tuesday but don't want to miss great deals, Hopper also has a "Price Freeze" feature that will extend the Travel Deal Tuesday offers. When you see a good deal, simply freeze the price and book it later once you're ready.

While Travel Tuesday 2023 isn't a brand new event, it is certainly picking up more buzz this year, with more airlines, hotel chains, cruise lines and tour companies offering travel deals than in years prior. There's lots of chatter on social media, too — the hashtag #TravelTuesday has racked up more than 100 million views on TikTok.

Ahead, we rounded up all the best Travel Tuesday deals on flights, hotels and cruises, including major travel players with loyalty programs like Marriott and Delta . There are even lingering Cyber Monday luggage deals to take advantage of, so you can be ready with brand-new luggage when your trip rolls around. Be sure to look closely at the expiration dates for these deals. While many deals are ending today, some are available throughout the week and even into December , allowing a little more time to plan your 2024 travel for less.

• Booking.com : Save up to 30% off at select hotels when you book by November 29 for stays through the end of 2024.
• Marriott : Marriott Bonvoy members can save 20% off hotel stays from November 26 through January 16 using the promo code " QRI ." Non-members save 15% off.
• Hilton : Hilton is offering a few different Cyber Week discounts including 40% off advance booking at Mexico and Hawaii resorts , 20% off three to seven-night stays in select Caribbean, Mexico and Hawaii hotels and double points on all bookings made through November 29. • Fairmont Hotels : Treat yourself to a stay at a Fairmont property for up to 25% off during the luxury hotel chain's holiday sale (including the iconic Fairmont Banff Springs , pictured above). Even better, this offer will be around for a while — you have until March 29, 2024, to book your stay!

However, travelers will need to book soon, as the sale ends on Thursday. “For 3 days only, make the most of your miles with deals to beach destinations in Mexico, the Caribbean and beyond,” Delta shared on their website.  Travelers can book the discounted fares on Delta’s sale page . The promotion has a wide variety of origin cities, but only six destinations. Travelers can choose from: Bridgetown, Barbados (BGI), Mazatlan, Mexico (MZT), Nassau, Bahamas (NAS), Providenciales, Turks and Caicos (PLS),; Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic (POP), and Tulum, Mexico (TQO). For travelers looking to explore the Bahamas , there are a variety of deals to Nassau’s Lynden Pindling International Airport between Jan. 20 and Feb. 2, 2025 starting at 17,000 miles + $120 for Basic Economy or 20,000 miles + $120 for Main Cabin. Best of all, the flight deal to Nassau is available from a variety of departure cities including Atlanta, Austin, Charlotte, Cleveland, Detroit, Las Vegas, Minneapolis, and more. Travelers can also find deals to the newly opened Tulum, Mexico airport (TQO) starting at 17,000 miles + $113 for Basic Economy, or 23,000 miles + $113 for Main Cabin, also from a wide variety of destinations. The deals are available on flights from mid-January through early-February from originating cities such as Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago, Cleveland, Dallas-Ft. Worth, Los Angeles, and more.  As an example of the potential savings, a SkyMiles ticket from Atlanta to Tulum would cost 34,000 miles plus $107 outside of the promotion, whereas it is only 17,000 miles, and $108 during the sale.  The flight sale comes as Delta recently advised passengers of changes to their international flight schedule, as the carrier announced it will be stopping its daytime flights to Paris.

Award Travel : Award Travel is subject to government-imposed taxes and fees and carrier-imposed charges, which are the responsibility of the passenger and must be paid at the time the ticket is booked. Taxes/fees/carrier-imposed charges depend upon the itinerary, and will be up to $325 for Main Cabin travel to the United States, Mexico and the Caribbean. Award Seats are limited and may not be available on all flights or in all markets

Basic Economy: The prices shown are as per passenger. Tickets are nonrefundable unless otherwise stated. Some of the prices listed may be Basic Economy fares; these fares do not include a seat assignment until after check-in, are nonrefundable, and have additional restrictions. Cancellations/Refunds/Changes: Tickets are nonrefundable except in accordance with Delta’s cancellation policy. Fees may apply for downgrades/reissues and itinerary changes. For Award tickets, changes to origin, destination, routing, date and time are permitted except for Basic Economy tickets, and the mileage difference (and any applicable taxes) for the new Award ticket will apply. Members may change or cancel Award tickets without a redeposit or change fee for travel originating from North America to anywhere in the world (including flights operated by joint venture and codeshare partners), excluding Basic Economy fares. No longer will changes and cancellations made within 72 hours of departure result in loss of miles. Mileage difference, taxes and fees apply for any changes. Changes to Pay with Miles tickets are determined by the fare rules of the ticket purchased.
