As your cruise tour begins, the Captain of the yacht narrates landmarks and historical points of interest. You will first notice the Atlantic Avenue drawbridge. This is a real authentic drawbridge that opens every 30 minutes for boats to pass through. You can watch it open and close as you cruise through it.

The first bridge at this location was built in 1911. It was a hand-cranked drawbridge. Can you imagine that!   Hand-cranked! You will now notice that the bridge is operated by a Bridge Tender who sits comfortably in an air conditioned Bridge Tender House. The Bridge Tender House was constructed originally in 1952. It was later redesigned in 1991 by local architect Robert Currie.

Our party of four rated the experience 4 out of 5. We got there 45 minutes before our reservation. Yes! It's best to make a reservation because they sell out quickly. My daughter still had to stand in line to get our tickets. Next, we accidentally designed an entry line next to the ship. People: "Are you in line?" Us: "Yes" LOL! It's a good thing because when it's time to remove the rope, guests quickly took "all aboard" pictures and then they rushed off to find good seating. My daughters already had eyed the best seating "for us" from IG photos. We sat in the air conditioned indoor area up the first set of stairs. I assume it's the main deck. I was so pleased that we had a table and four comfy chairs next to a window near the bar. As a cancer patient, I was dreading being in the hot sun for the entire two hour tour. The server didn't appear to be motivated to be there. She took our order and delivered the food promptly but there was never a smile or friendly conversation no matter how we tried. We ordered chips and salsa and chicken tenders along with drinks. Next time, we will definitely skip the overly breaded, dry chicken tenders. My family said the drinks were popping. The cruise was delightful even though the narrator's mic was staticky. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. We also walked around and took many selfies. It was worth the price.

Great section of the intercoastal to cruise. Excellent description of history and ownership of the various large homes that line each side of the waterway. Weather was perfect. Would do it again

We had a good experience on this boat tour on New Years Eve day. Boarding was not managed well and the advanced reservations don't seem to help at all. Signage/instruction was poor and as a result of a 40 minute boarding process, we didn't have ideal seats. I would recommend arriving early if you want a nice table/will be snacking on board but hopefully these guys fix this aspect of the business. Overall we had a good experience. We paid about $30 which is what I'd expect a two hour tour to cost. It's slightly cheaper with local residency and 2 and unders go for free. You go down the inter coastal on this tour and you get to see all of the mega mansions and crazy infinity pools. The tour guide is as good and we learned a lot of interesting facts about Delray Beaches' history. I like that there is a lot of space on board and three different levels for different experiences. Because the boat is so big, you barely feel the small waves generated from the water traffic and it's a pretty relaxing ride. I'd recommend coming at the holiday times with the Xmas decorations. They have a decent array of snacks and smaller meal options on board but it's not like it used to be with the dinner cruises. You should plan to spend $8-$15 on smaller snack-e type options and drinks. We tried the $13 frozen daiquiris, which were ok but a bit on the sweeter end (fair amount of alcohol).

We decided to do the holiday cruise with Santa. Wanted to have a nice little cruise down the inter-coastal with the mini. Upon arrival there weren't any signs to where the check in was but it wasn't hard to find. A little hut right by the boat. No area for a line so we just lined up behind the closest person to the boat. Before boarding we got to take a picture with Santa as a family. I believe the price for the photo was 10 dollars. Which wasn't bad. We had drinks and our son had tenders. Prices were very reasonable. My wife had a Baileys hot chocolate. And I decided on khalua and chocolate. And my oh my both were delicious. My wife had to fight me to get her drink back. The cruise took us up and down the inter coastal and as it was doing that. The kids were able to sit and take pics with Santa. After pics and everyone for to see him. He got up and walked around and greeted the kids again. My only gripe was (and nothing the cruise staff or business did wrong) that the parents of the children on board just let their kids run loose. Kids running up and down. Screaming and going on about. While the parents just sat and drank. It almost felt like I was in a daycare. Again. Not the business fault at all. But overall we had an amazing time and definitely would recommend it.

The sunset cruise is a delightful adventure. The staff is lovely and Captain Nigel gives a terrific narration as he navigates the intracoastal waterway.

Beautiful evening to be on the intercoastal we went down to Boca turned around and came back to Delray. There was a lot of indoor seating but we wanted to be outside and enjoying the view. It was a bit cramped outside on a sunset cruise. We went an hour in each direction and tickets were $28 per person. The other people on the boat we're very friendly and interesting. There was a menu with the appetizers frozen drinks wine and beer. I enjoyed my piña colada and my husband's strawberry daiquiri was too sweet and chemically for him, Our drink tab was $30 including tip.

This is one of our favorite things to do in Delray Beach, we love enjoying time with friends and family, and taking a two hour cruise up and down the intercoastal. From the moment you get on the boat, and everybody is warm and friendly, they gave proper instructions on safety, which is very important. The first thing I do is go to the top of the boat that is the best point of view enjoy and relax. The servers come over, there is a variety of food and drinks to choose from, there is bar to get a special drink. As you just enjoy you are relaxing the sun, the boat goes at a speed where you can actually enjoy the sites and the homes, along with the state parks and see some wildlife. If you live here in Palm Beach County, or you have visitors, family and friends come in from out of town this is the perfect getaway for a couple of hours to make you feel special. Then, when you get off the boat, there's a variety of things to do in Delray Beach. Happy sailing!

Overall it was a positive experience with nice narrative about the houses on the intracoastal. The lost points were on the non refundable tickets and the water bottles that they made us discard to purchase inside. They actually asked to look inside our purses.

I was invited for my birthday with 15 other family members on a relaxing trip on the water. I enjoyed this - it was different. I like boats and being on the water so it was a nice way to spend some time. Would have much rather had a live band and dancing available. But maybe that's offered at other times. Overall, its a few hours of nice water and home views.

On the Water: Banish summertime blues with an Intracoastal cruise

Long subtropical summer got you down? Follow the mantra of every South Seas explorer from Cortés to Cousteau: Get out on the water. Fortunately, there are many ways to do that in Palm Beach County, from party boats to private tours. One of the newest vessels to ply the local Intracoastal Waterway is the Boynton Beach Tiki Taxi Cruise. It costs only $10 for a ride, and you can stay aboard for as long as you like, or jump off — have dinner at one of the Boynton Beach pier restaurants — and then jump back on. The Tiki Taxi, with its thatched roof and disco lights, may not be the most elegant boat on the Intracoastal, but it’s a lot of fun. You can find your own space on the 40-foot vessel to watch sunsets and pelicans, or join the conversation around the crowded bar. Mixed drinks, soft drinks, beer, wine and snacks are available at the bar. During a recent Saturday evening cruise, a group of visitors from Colombia took advantage of the slow, steady ride to dance, drink and glance occasionally at the mansions along the shore. Colored lights, tucked up under the speakers and thatched roof, seemed to shift along with the upbeat mix of pop, rock, country and disco music. A pair of lovers, lost in their own world, stood at the front of the boat and held each other. Capt. Dave Montgomery took it all in stride. “We have a good crowd tonight and this is only our second week,” he said. “We just take our time and everybody loves it.” Boynton Beach resident Madeline McCreery, accompanied by her friend Casey Donnelly, said she was having a blast. “It’s a great way to get out on the water, especially if you don’t have a boat,” McCreery said. “It’s something we really needed around here to get people out of the house.” Donnelly agreed. “I’m having the best time,” she said. “I love it!” The Tiki Taxi and Cruises company, based in Stuart, opened in 2020 just before the pandemic shut everything down, said owner Rosemary Kuyrkendall. The company reopened last year and now operates boats in Stuart, Jupiter and Boynton Beach. Kuyrkendall said she and her husband, Gene Kuyrkendall, hope eventually to add a second Boynton Beach boat to the fleet. Cruises leave on the hour from the Boynton Beach harbor marina — right next to Two Georges Restaurant. The hours of operation are Thursdays and Fridays from 5-11 p.m.; Saturdays from 1-11 p.m.; and Sundays from 1-9 p.m. Call 772-521-0024 for more information.

Delray Yacht Cruises If you’re looking for a bigger, sleeker boat, Delray Yacht Cruises operates two yachts that sail out of Delray Beach — the 90-foot Lady Delray and 105-foot Lady Atlantic. The sightseeing cruises, which offer two-hour narrated tours along the Intracoastal Waterway, depart from Veterans Park on East Atlantic Avenue. Tours are offered Wednesday to Sunday afternoons starting at 1:30, and Friday and Saturday evenings starting at 5:30. Tickets are $30 for regular admission and $27 for seniors and children. Snacks and a full bar are available onboard. Reservations are highly recommended. Call 561-243-0686.

Palm Yachts If you’re looking for something a bit more intimate — and colorful — you can charter a mint- or pink-bodied Boston Whaler with a matching striped Bimini top for an Intracoastal cruise. The 17-foot boats come equipped with a captain and can accommodate up to six people. Cruises depart from Jupiter and from the docks of waterfront hotels in Palm Beach proper — including The Breakers, Four Seasons Resort and the Colony Hotel. “We have carved a specialty niche of bachelorette parties,” said Jason Norcross, one of four company owners. “People rent both boats, which can accommodate 10-12 people.” The boats are very popular among Instagram fans and that is the only platform on which the company advertises, Norcross said. The company will supply box lunches, upon request, and will also extend the $750 two-hour tours for an additional $150 an hour. Sightseeing the Intracoastal with Delray Yacht Cruises

On our recent trip to Delray Beach we were looking for unique things to do with kids. We found Delray Yacht Cruises and booked an afternoon sightseeing tour. The 2-hour narrated sightseeing tours cruise through South Florida’s Intracoastal Waterway. These cruise are open to the public and take place all year and allow you to experience the calm waters of the Intracoastal Waterway aboard the Lady Atlantic or Lady Delray.

We booked Saturday afternoon cruise on the Lady Atlantic that took us from Veteran’s Park on East Atlantic Avenue, Delray Beach south to Boca Raton.  We had reservations for 1:30pm and arrived 30 minutes early as directed. Check-in is at the little ticket booth near the Yacht and was quick. Before boarding, they took a photo which they printed and found us later in the cruise to offer us to purchase. It was a reasonable price and a great way to remember the trip, so we bought it!

Once on board we walked around the entire vessel and then ordered drinks for a sail away toast! They offer a full cash bar (for Adults over 21 years of age with valid ID), non-alcoholic beverages, smoothies, and other drinks during the cruise. We enjoyed a couple of cocktails while the kids enjoyed some virgin daiquiris. We didn’t eat, but they did have a food menu with things from chips, candy and other snacks to sandwiches, hot dogs & salads. They do not allow any outside food or beverage to be brought aboard the yacht. 

On the South leg of the trip, the tour was narrated, pointing on some of the famous homes and area’s history. Our kids enjoyed seeing the beautiful mansions and picking out which ones we would live in. On the ride back to Veteran’s Park, they stopped narrating and we enjoyed a relaxing trip soaking up the calmness and great weather.

Delray Yacht Cruises is owned and operated by Captain Joe and Kerry Reardon. After going south to operate their boat in Florida for winters and returning north for the summer for several years, the Reardon’s eventually settled year round in Florida, operating the 90-foot Lady Delray and 105-foot Lady Atlantic that they had built in 2008. Whichever option you choose, you are almost guaranteed to see the marine life and many beautiful, local birds.

I really enjoy boating and showing our beautiful area to clients.  Our coastal area is difficult to navigate, that's why boat rentals can come with unexpected costs and stress like damage or getting stuck on a sandbar.  Book a boat charter with me and enjoy the area without the responsibility of renting today!

See wildlife in action!  It's not uncommon to see Dolphins, Sea Turtles, Pelicans, Cormorants, Hawks, Egrets and Herons (a few crazies too!).  Go boating without the boat rental stress!

I only provide private boat charter tours, just you, your family and friends.  I take the worries of getting out on the water.  I take care of everything.  Boat rentals and operating a boat can be very stressful, especially if you aren't familiar with the area.  I give you a stress free memorable boating trip!

I provide charters only i do not rent boats.  Surf City has many boat rental services if that's what you are looking to do.  Thank you for looking, if you reconsider I'll be here!

We limit our guests to 6 passengers no exceptions.  

2 hour cruise $300 (up to 6 passengers) additional hours are $100. 

Yes, limited.  Intoxicated passengers are a safety concern and may limit the length of the trip. 

All passengers must remain on the boat at all times.  We provide  2 - 3 hour pleasure cruises and nature tours from the safety of the boat.  

Sure!  Please remember we are offering relaxing pleasure cruises, it's your time I will do whatever you would like  (I'm a fisherman too!).   Also, remember to have a license!  You will need a Coastal Recreational Fishing License . 

You can bring a small cooler and any snacks you like!

We have a pop up room with a toilet and hand washing.  Cologne and mints not included.

A $50 deposit is required to secure your charter online.  

Balance is required prior to leaving the dock.  

At the dock: Cash , Apple pay , Venmo and CashApp are accepted. 

Unfortunately we cannot accept credit cards at the dock.

Sorry we do not allow pets and smoking is allowed with care.  Absolutely nothing that didn't come from the water goes in the water.  You must stay on the boat at all times.  Captain Bob can refuse to start or complete the charter at his discretion.  Please see our Terms and Conditions below for details.  

ABSOLUTLY NO BANANAS IN ANY SHAPE OR FORM!  Not even a picture of a banana!  Bad Juju!  A little history:  Why are Bananas Bad Luck on a boat, is an unusual nautical superstition that began in the 1700’s that is still persistent today. When trade ships sailing from the Caribbean & Spain started to disappear, bananas would be the only thing found floating amongst the wreckages. Seafarers believed the bananas had caused the ship to sink (I'm not taking any chances...).

We understand that things can happen and weather can be unpredictable.  

If you cancel: 

We will refund the full amount less any charges we incur from any processing of the payment if the trip is canceled by you within 4 hours of your scheduled departure.  Refunds for last minute cancelations or "No shows" will be at the discretion of Capt. Bob.

If WE cancel: If we cannot reschedule with you, we will refund fully your payment.

NC and the Coast Guard require all children UNDER 13 to wear life jackets while underway, Captain Bob requires them on at all times .  These are offshore type and are required you cannot supply your own.  Of course all adults will have life jackets beyond adult Jackets I have three (3) life jackets for children under 90 lbs.  I also have one (1) infant life jacket.  Of course, every soul counts towards the 6 passenger limit.

Delray Yacht Cruises is located in the North West Corner of the Intracoastal Bridge on Atlantic Avenue in Veteran’s Park.
