Step #1: Purchase your train ticket from Jakarta to Bandung online well in advance.

Step #2: Check out and Leave for Gambir Train Station very early.

If you plan to take the train from Jakarta to Bandung then you first must depart from your hotel/guesthouse /house to Gambir Train Station .

Gambir Train Station is located right in the heart of central Jakarta. If you know where the Monas is, then you should have no problem finding Gambir Station. It is located directly east of the Monas.

This is technically located along the Red and Blue Commuter Lines in Jakarta, but these trains bypass the station. Gambir would simply be too busy with both intercity and commuter trains departing from there. Therefore, you will have to arrange alternative transportation from your place to Gambir.  

If traffic is heavy consider using a ride-sharing app opposed to a taxi so that the meter doesn’t run while in traffic. Motos are the fastest form of transport in Jakarta to get to specific spots, but you might have a hard time bringing your luggage along!

Keep in mind that these properties are really close to Gambir Station, but they take a bit longer than expected to get to the station because you have to do a U-turn to access the station in a car.

Step #3: Check-in for your train ride for Jakarta to Bandung

Once you arrive at Gambir Train Station you can easily convert your pre-booked online ticket to a boarding pass. All you need to do is use one of the machine kiosks located within the station.

They usually have train staff that are near the machines to help you out.  

As long as the barcode on your ticket is intact then this shouldn’t be an issue.  You can also purchase tickets directly at the station, but we would recommend booking them online in advance instead. This way you can get the seats you want on the dates you want.  

You will also avoid some large lines at Gambir Station if you book online in advance.

KAI Train From Jakarta To Bandung

Taking the normal train (KAI) from Jakarta to Bandung is very easy and there are several departures every day.

Both from Gambir and Bandung Station you can get picked up, or delivered using Grab. I just had to pay a fee of 5,000 at Gambir station when we drove out from the station. You could walk outside the station to avoid the fee.

Fast Tracks to Bandung: Understanding the High-Speed Rail Service  (Whoosh)

Indonesia is improving its railway service, with a high-speed train that will significantly reduce travel time between the two cities. Although the bullet train/ High Speed already is possible to use it’s not easy to buy tickets yet.

Alternatives to Train Travel 

If the train schedule doesn’t fit your plans, other methods of transport include buses, which are more frequent but subject to traffic, or renting a car for a more private journey. We Highly Recommend Taking the Train to avoid traffic and enjoy the scenic route with nice rice fields.

Dengan lokasinya yang strategis, Kiara Artha Park menjadi tempat yang banyak dikunjungi saat lebaran bersama keluarga tercinta.

Kiara Artha Park pun menawarkan beragam fasilitas menarik, mulai dari taman yang hijau dan luas, air mancur menari, kawasan kuliner, hingga kemudahan berkeliling area taman dan danau dengan menggunakan sepeda listrik.

2. Babakan Siliwangi

Di kawasan ini, banyak pengunjung yang datang untuk menikmati suasana hutan kota. Jembatan sepanjang kurang lebih dari 2 kilometer bisa dijajaki, sembari olahraga berjalan kaki. Pengunjung pun bisa melepaskan kepenatan dengan menyusuri hutan kota.

Lebih dari itu, tempat ini juga menawarkan banyak daya tarik, seperti jembatan merah, pemandangan sungai, wahana rafting , terapi ikan, hingga pertunjukan air mancur yang biasa diadakan di akhir pekan.

Wahana ini menjadi favorit pemudik di Kota Bandung untuk berwisata. Pengunjung jadi tak repot lagi dengan membawa kendaraan sendiri untuk menikmati Kota Kembang. 

Uniknya, Bandung Tour on Bus atau dikenal dengan sebutan Bandros memiliki tampilan yang warna yang cerah seperti merah, kuning, ungu, merah muda dan hijau.

Jalan Braga pun tak luput dari serbuan pemudik yang berwisata di Kota Bandung. Braga memang telah menjadi salah satu destinasi wisata favorit yang ada di pusat Kota Bandung. Kawasan ini memiliki banyak daya tarik yang bisa dijajal wisatawan.

Dari mulai wisata kuliner di restoran dan kafe, aktivitas seni, fotografi, dan berbagai aktivitas lain bisa dilakukan di kawasan bersejarah ini. Wisatawan yang berkunjung ke Bandung, wajib menjejakkan kaki di kawasan ini.

6. Tepi Kota Healing

Dengan tiket masuk Rp10.000, pengunjung memadati tempat wisata ini yang memiliki beragam fasilitas. Di tempat ini, aktivitas luar ruangnya ramah untuk anak-anak juga cocok dikunjungi bersama keluarga. 

Tepi Kota Healing berlokasi di Jalan Padang Golf No 1 Arcamanik, Kota Bandung. Jika ingin mencoba wahana permainan akan ada biaya tambahan sekitar Rp10.000 hingga Rp40.000.

Pengunjung juga disana menikmati aktivitas seru lainnya, seperti besepeda atau naik skuter listrik mengelilingi tempat wisata. Terdapat juga berbagai spot foto, area bermain anak seperti flying fox, seluncuran, kereta air dan masih banyak lagi. 

Setelah lelah bermain dan perut mulai keroncong, pengunjung pun santap siang di restoran, Warung Lodeh atau tempat ngopi yang ada di dalam Tepi Kota Healing. Harganya juga ramah di kantong. 

7. Playground Monumen Perjuangan

Usai direvitalisasi pada akhir tahun lalu, taman ini menjadi lebih tertata dan indah dipandang. Taman Monju memiliki dua kawasan taman yang dapat diakses secara gratis oleh warga dan menjadikannya tempat favorit lainnya di Kota Bandung.

Di sana ada gundukan maupun seluncuran rumput sintetis yang bisa menjadi wahana bermain bagi anak-anak.

Selain itu, ada juga pelbagai wahana playground bagi si kecil. Mulai dari ayunan, perosotan, jungkat-jungkit, sampai alat gym semuanya bisa digunakan dengan bebas. Bahkan, banyak wisatawan yang mengabadikan momen kebersamaan di setiap spotnya yang memang Instagramable.

Greater Jakarta Braces for 1.87 Million Vehicle Influx Post-Eid, Says Jasa Marga

Jakarta . State-owned toll road operator Jasa Marga predicts an increase in the number of vehicles returning to the Greater Jakarta area during the post-Eid al-Fitr exodus from April 10 to 18, through four main toll gates (GT), reaching 1.87 million vehicles, a 1.4 percent rise from the 2023 Eid exodus.

"The traffic volume has begun to increase at the four main toll gates, namely the Cikampek Utama (Cikatama), Kalihurip Utama, Ciawi, and Cikupa gates," said Faiza Riani, Head of the Communication and Marketing Department of Jasa Marga, during a press conference at the Jasa Marga office in Cikatama, Karawang, on Friday.

She predicts that the returning traffic to Greater Jakarta will be dominated by vehicles from the east, or the Trans-Java and Bandung toll roads, totaling 1.06 million vehicles or 56.9 percent. This is followed by vehicles from the west, or the Merak Toll Road, amounting to 461,000 vehicles or 24.7 percent. Then, from the south, or Puncak/Bogor, there will be 344,000 vehicles, or 18.4 percent.

Faiza explained that road users from the east need to be cautious at kilometer 66 of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, which is where vehicles from Bandung and Central Java converge towards Jakarta. "We have prepared traffic engineering along with our friends from the Police at kilometer 66," she said.

Jasa Marga predicts that the peak of the 2024 post-Eid al-Fitr exodus will occur on Monday, April 15, with the number of vehicles at the four main toll gates reaching 296,000.

"We urge the public to return to Greater Jakarta before the peak of the exodus. For those who have the flexibility, we encourage them to adjust their travel time and take advantage of the 20 percent toll discount during the exodus period, which is valid from April 17 to 19," said Faiza.

She also mentioned that the number of vehicles entering Jakarta from the east, or the Trans-Java Toll Road on Friday, increased by 44 percent compared to the normal days.

Success story of PNM-empowered housewife: Exporting homemade yogurt to global markets

he role of women, especially housewives, has expanded in recent decades and they are no longer bound solely to managing their households and raising children. Further, as they learn to harness the facilities and functionalities offered by advanced technologies, women now have many opportunities for self-actualization.

Deasy Andriani, owner of DS Yogurtku, proves that being a housewife is no barrier to building a successful business. With extraordinary determination, Deasy has transformed her household role into an opportunity for growing a business of her own.

Deasy now manages her yogurt business from her home in Bandung, West Java, exporting her homemade products to overseas markets like the Italy, Japan, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States.

"I send them from port to port, and one shipment can [contain] up to 250 [bottles], depending on the order. The shipping costs are borne by the buyer," Deasy shared on March 21, 2024 during "Live On Ramadan", an iftar media event organized PT Permodalan Nasional Madani ( PNM ).

A bottle of DS Yogurtku costs Rp 10,000 (62 US cents) each, meaning that Deasy earns Rp 2.5 million from a shipment of 250 bottles.

Before starting DS Yogurtku, Deasy sold her homemade yogurt locally to generate additional income aside from what her husband brought home. Long story short, she discovered that her yogurt product matched the palate of foreign consumers.

Of course, Deasy faced challenges, including one customer who received the yogurt they ordered but didn't pay. On the other hand, she struggled to fill bulk orders from other customers.

Such challenges initially brought her down, since she lacked the capital to expand her business. Enter PNM, which stepped in to provide her with a loan.

"At that time, I was confused because borrowing from [other] people felt embarrassing. Long story short, I was introduced to PNM. My husband supported it. He said, 'Just give it a try,'" Deasy recalled.

Thanks to the assistance from PNM, Deasy was able to not just continue her business, but also build it, such as by improving the design of her product packaging so they were more visually appealing to attract more customers.

She hasn’t forgotten the gratitude she felt to PNM for its timely help, and hopes the ultra-micro financing company continues to empower women, especially housewives.

PNM disburses Rp 12.5 trillion

While PNM is known for disbursing microloans specifically to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), it is also notable for its commitment to improving social welfare.

PNM provides opportunities to people living in poor and near poor communities so they can start their own businesses. Aside from financing, the company takes a holistic effort in empowering MSME entrepreneurs by providing mentorship and guidance through its PNM Mekaar program.

Arief Mulyadi, Managing Director at PNM, explained that between 2016 and 2024, PNM Mekaar had financed 20.1 million female entrepreneurs in the ultra-micro business sector. Out of this initial figure, 15.2 million entrepreneurs were still active customers today.

"Meanwhile, the rest have moved up to BRI, Pegadaian and perhaps other formal financial institutions," Arief added.

In January-February 2024 alone, PNM disbursed ultra-micro loans totaling Rp 12.5 trillion to fledgling entrepreneurs.

Arief emphasized that PNM would continue to adapt and change its program, which ranged from business management to empowerment and mentoring, to achieve this year’s loan disbursement target of Rp 75 trillion, as set in the 2024 Company Work Plan and Budget.
