About the Product

With the huge air flow demands of modern engines, Safari took the decision to design a snorkel system that raised the air intake to prevent ingesting harmful elements to the vehicle’s air cleaner.

Huge air flow is but one aspect of the ultimate in snorkel design. The Safari Snorkel air ram is designed to perform two very important roles. The most obvious is to funnel cool clean air into the snorkel body – but just as importantly, the Safari air ram acts as a highly efficient water separator to remove rain water from the incoming air stream – thus ensuring safe engine operation through even the most torrential tropical storms.

The genuine Safari Snorkel body and air ram is manufactured to the highest standards in durable, UV stable, cross linked polyethylene material. In addition, the substantial material wall thickness delivers huge physical strength to ensure that the snorkel breezes through the toughest off-road conditions on the planet.

Frequently Asked Questions

“Will this fit straight onto my vehicle?” Safari Snorkel kits are developed specifically to fit your vehicle model. A wide range of kits are available to suit different model variants, but in some cases minor adaption is required to suit specific air filter boxes or other engine bay differences. This is straightforward and would normally be covered in the supplied fitting instructions.

“Is drilling required?” Yes, a drilling template is supplied.

“Is this product watertight?” If installed correctly and with all joints properly assembled and sealed, a Safari Snorkel kit will raise the air intake point of your vehicle and can be used for driving in deeper water than a standard vehicle might allow. Of course, other components may also need to be waterproofed to avoid engine or component damage.

“Can I fit a snorkel along with upgrades such as wheel arch kits?” Yes, this is a common upgrade. In some cases, the snorkel and wheel arch kit may overlap and the wheel arch may need trimming.

“Will this kit fit both left and right hand drive vehicles?” Yes, in most cases the vehicle manufacturer does not relocate components such as the air filter box when building left or right hand drive vehicles. The vast majority of Safari Snorkel kits are therefore suited to both LHD and RHD vehicles. Exceptions are detailed in the notes section.

Mitsubishi L200 Review (2007)

On sale since the 1st March 2006 - the all-new Mitsubishi L200 starts at £12,462 for the 4Work 4WD single cab and raises to £22,512 + VAT for the range topping double cab Diamond.

Mitsubishi targets two markets with the L200 - starting with the 4Work range which is aimed directly at the no-nonsense business user and the 4Life range which is designed for the lifestyle user, who might use their L200 during the day for work and then at the weekend for domestic duties and family life.

The L200 is available in three body styles ( single, club and double-cab) and is based on the Dakar Rally inspired rally raid Shogun/Pajero Evolution, which has won the Dakar Rally no less than 12 times.

Mitsubishi has sold 53,000 of the previous L200 model in the UK since 1998 and expects the new L200 to sell in higher volumes. In 2006 Mitsubishi sold 10,069 L200’s and are predicting to sell over 12,000 units during 2007.

We chose to test the L200 Animal (Auto) which is only available as a five seat double cab.

The L200 Animal is powered by Mitsubishi’s all new 2.5 litre common rail turbo diesel engine. Along with the Diamond model, the Animal setup can produce 165bhp @ 3400 rpm, with a quoted torque output of 350 lb ft @ 2000 rpm, which is more powerful than the standard L200 range.

Our pick-up was fitted with a four speed automatic gearbox which allows the Animal to sprint from 0 to 62 mph in just 12.1 seconds. The manual version can hit 62 mph in 11.3 seconds. You do have watch out when pulling off as there is a noticeable lag from the turbocharger but once moving the L200 feels relatively sprightly.

The top speed of the automatic variant is 102 mph with the manual version increasing this by 1 mph. The automatic box features an overdrive facility, which can also be shifted into 1st and 2nd gear manually should you wish to retain fine control descending hills or when towing.

Dr. Joseph Lozovyy was born into a Christian family in Elektrostal, Moscow Region, and was raised in a pastor’s home. From the age of fifteen, he began actively participating in the music ministry of the Baptist Church in Mytishchi, where his father served as a pastor, and also played in the orchestra of the Central Moscow Baptist Church. From 1989, he participated in various evangelistic events in different cities of Moscow Region and beyond.
