Wonderful ride around the lake. Staff was very helpful and friendly and the food and drinks were good, too. Would high recommend this tour!

We enjoyed our cruise yesterday for the most part. It feels like we are here just a bit early in the summer season so the boat was no at all crowded (it says it can hold 1000 people but there were 300 at most). So the check in process was easy peasy and there was plenty of room to wander around the boat for different views. There is a mix of indoor and outdoor (some covered but some not) seating options. If you go when it is busy I imagine you need to get there early to stake out your spot then plan to remain there. The lake is beautiful and it was a great way to really get a fell for its overall size. I had expected (hoped) for a bit more narration, but what we had was quite informative. The staff were very accommodating to turn up the volume so we could hear better (again if the boat is full it may be harder to hear). In between narrations they played music (rock n roll!). They don't allow ANY outside food or beverage. They do provide cups and a free ice water dispenser. There is a bar with limited types of sodas but mixed drinks, beer and wine are available to purchase. There is a cafe with a decent selection of menu items. You have to scan a upc code to see the menu (bar drink menus are printed and plentiful). And you then order/pay online. In theory they text you when your order is ready to be picked up. But luckily we went down to check and the order had not gone thru. The bar tender (she was VERY clear that she was the bartender and NOT a waitress) said the system was broken (although it had taken our money). So, until we went and checked our food had not begun cooking. The cheeseburgers were actually pretty good. The bartender top had quite an attitude (with us and others). And the lady running the gift shop (quite large for a pleasure boat we thought) was clearly unhappy to be at work. We saw her rolling her eyes at many of the customers. in her defense, there was a school group on board and they were getting on everyone's nerves. Which brings me to my final issue with the cruise. There were approx 40 students (based on the t shirts they were all wearing we'd have to say 6th graders) who ran wild around the ship the entire cruise. They had a huge private room to be in but it seemed that was just the place for the parents/teachers to hang out as they were largely not present to manage their students. We saw one child fall down the stairs with no adults any where to be seen. We could tell by to looks and comments of other passengers that we were not the only passengers bothered by these kids. They truly ruined the whole cruise for us. And my gripe is that only one time did a boat crew member ever say anything to these kids. They really should have intervened firmly and early for the enjoyment and safety of everyone, To the Salem school group who was on the boat on 5/31/24........you should be ashamed of how you represented your school.

What a beautiful, relaxing cruise on Lake Winnepesaukee. There is a great view no matter where you sit. Plenty of seats with tables, and seating in the shade. We took the 2 1/2 hour narrated scenic tour from Weirs Beach to Wolfeboro and back. I suggest taking the 10:00 launch time, then get off at Wolfeboro have lunch, do so site seeing, and take the next boat back. On the boat there is a full bar and depending on what cruise you take the on board restaurant serves lunch, dinner, or Sunday brunch.

Food on dinner cruise was awful, like not eatable. Stick with beer or premade drinks, as cocktails are poorly made and the drink lines were really long. Airflow in eating area was non existent, even on a cool night we sweating, until we gave up on the food and just went out to deck. Being on the deck was lovely, perhaps having music or bar on the deck would have made everything better.

We cruised from Weirs Beach to Wolfeboro and stayed to shop and eat lunch before reboarding for the return trip. The Mimosa flight was delicious and so was the breakfast food we ordered. The kids with us loved the boat and the sightseeing announcements were very interesting!

Drinks were good. Musics was good. The food was terrible from the starters to the entree. Even the desert was gross. Would not recommend this. Very expensive for what it was !!

Photo of Shasta G.

Our private bus tour booked us for a one-hour lunch cruise. The cruise was nice but largely unremarkable. It would be interesting for folks that haven't spent much time on the water. After a week of buffet food at every stop all week--and reading others' reviews, I had pretty low expectations but I will give credit where credit is due; the buffet was actually not bad! My only real complaints follow and all pertain to the unmet needs of elderly and physically challenged folks. On board, guests have to be able to use stairs to access the open balcony, so they will miss that particular experience and view. The check-in and preboarding process is brutal. Lots of hurry up-and-wait on uneven boardwalk and slanted gang planks that can be uncomfortable underfoot and even dangerous for anyone with balance issues, limited stamina, back problems, canes, etc. The handful of benches near the venue fill quickly. The handicap restroom on the boardwalk is kept locked, and there is no signage to inform the unwitting visitor that they'll need to get a key from the ticket desk. Dock helper "Shep" completely dismissed the gentle suggestion that they put a simple sign on the door and made it clear he was not interested in public feedback.

You could be "next" all day. It's locked even when vacant. They want you to magically figure out that the key is at the ticket booth.

The cruise was amazing. The staff were professional and personable. Met some wonderful people. Would recommend it to everyone. Suggest that you buy your ticket (s) before you plan on taking the cruise. Very relaxing.

The experience and food was great. Get in line early for food. The only downside is cruise could be a tad shorter and park around 9pm. That would allow people to get off ship and head home if tired. But allow others to stay on boat till ending. The weather could not have been better, we were lucky

Each year, dozens of dedicated employees return to Weirs Beach to preserve the proud tradition of the M/S Mount Washington and her sister vessels.

We're looking for new people to join our crew! Have some fun, meet new people, and help us share the beauty of Lake Winnipesaukee with guests from all over the world.

Full-time and part-time/seasonal positions available.

Winnipesaukee (win-e-puh-saw'-kee), New Hampshire's largest lake, is glacier formed and spring fed. Surrounded by 3 mountain ranges, the lake is 504 feet above sea level. It is approximately 25 miles long 15 miles wide, covers 72 square miles and contains more than 240 habitable islands. The lake's wooded shoreline and crystal clear water makes it a popular summer resort, and visitors from all over the world come to rest and relax in its beautiful surroundings. The M/S Mount Washington and her sister vessels have regular departures from the following ports of call.

Lake Map

Weirs Beach (Laconia)

Weirs Beach represents its own era in American history. It has a certain amusement park nostalgia, right down to the blinking neon sign on Rt.3 that directs you to the beach itself. We love this sign, you just can't miss Weirs Beach. Here you can stroll the boardwalk while enjoying the beautiful views of the lake. As the name implies there is a public beach, town docks, arcades, waterslides, and the area's only Drive-In theater, specializing in double-features. At the center of the boardwalk is what looks like a railroad station, although it is really the building that houses the M/S Mount Washington ticket office, gift shop and snack bar. Notable events for Weirs Beach are weekly fireworks displays throughout the summer. Mount Washington Cruises has 3 boats and numerous cruises from Weirs Beach each day.

From I-93 take Exit 23, Rte. 104 East towards Meredith and continue for 8 miles. At the end of the road turn right on to Rte. 3 South and follow for 3.5 miles until you see the sign for Weirs Beach on your left. Turn left at the sign. The Mount Washington ticket office is located in the center of the boardwalk at the Railroad Station.

Lake Map

Wolfeboro prides itself on being the oldest summer resort in the country. It was the vacation spot for colonial Governor John Wentworth in 1764, and today Wolfeboro is one of the lake's busiest ports. A lovely little town full of galleries, stores and restaurants, it's been said that there is something for everyone in Wolfeboro. Wolfeboro is also the home of Brewster Academy, one of the regions most prestigious private schools. Overlooking Wolfeboro Bay, Brewster Academy has been open to students since 1818 and has taught a number of successful individuals, including a U.S. Vice President.

From the South, take Rte. I-95 North to the Portsmouth Traffic Circle. Go North on Spaulding Turnpike/ Rte. 16 and take Exit 15 (Lake Winnipesaukee) to Rte. 11 West. At the Alton Traffic Circle, take Rte. 28 North to the center of Wolfeboro. Our dock is located next to the town docks near Cate Park. Note: Exit 15 comes up suddenly, be on the look-out. From the North, take Rt. 28 South off Rt. 16.

Lake Map

The quaint village of Meredith, also called the "Latchkey to the White Mountains," is home to the famed Mill Falls Marketplace with its many unique shops and restaurants. Located at the intersection of Routes 3 & 25, the marketplace overlooks picturesque Meredith Bay and has its own waterfall, brick walkways, shaded benches and beautiful flowers. Many more shops line Main Street and there are more than a dozen local restaurants, all a convenient walk from the town docks. Notable locations in Meredith include the Inns & Spa at Mill Falls (four wonderful country inns surrounding the Meredith Bay shoreline all with their own restaurant), Hart's Turkey Farm, the Annalee Dolls Gift Shop, and the Town Docks Restaurant, where you can sit outside by the lake and eat in a casual atmosphere while the little kids play in the sand.

From I-93 take Exit 23, Rte. 104 East towards Meredith and continue for 8 miles. At the end of the road turn left onto Rte. 3 North. Proceed down the hill until you see the lake on your right. The M/S Mount Washington dock is next to the Town Docks Restaurant.

Lake Map

Alton, a township located at the southern extremity of Lake Winnipesaukee, reflects back over 175 years and is considered one of the oldest ports of shipping on the lake. A special feature is the bandstand, which is located in the middle of the Alton Bay. Alton Bay is also the birthplace of the Mount Washington Cruise Ship as the side-wheeler was launched here in 1872. The MOUNT will be stopping and taking on passengers in Alton every Sunday. There will be a Sunday Brunch buffet available on board.

Take Rte. I-95 North to the Portsmouth Traffic Circle. Go North on Spaulding Turnpike/ Rte. 16 and take Exit 15 (Lake Winnipesaukee) to Rte. 11 West. Stay on Rte. 11 through the Alton Traffic Circle and follow to Alton Bay. Our dock is located next to the Alton Bay information booth.

Lake Map

Center Harbor

Located in a beautiful setting on Lake Winnipesaukee's northern shoreline, Center Harbor is the winter home of the M/S Mount Washington. The company shipyard is located on Lake Street, adjacent to the town docks and beach. Throughout the holiday season the Mount is an attraction at her dock, where she is decorated for the season with festive holiday lights.

From I-93 take Exit 23, Rte. 104 East towards Meredith and continue for 8 miles. At the end of the road turn left onto Rte. 3 North to the next traffic light by the intersection of routes 3 & 25. Turn right onto Rte. 25 North and follow until you get to Center Harbor (approximately 5 miles). Before the traffic light in Center Harbor, turn right onto Lake Street. You will find us next to the red building near the town beach.
