We enjoyed our tour. The guides were very knowledgeable although the headphones were a little scratchy so the guides were not always easy to understand. Sadly, the bus got stuck in traffic in the afternoon (not the fault of the bus driver). A nice way to get around the city.

Your Toronto City Tour Questions Answered

What happens if it rains?

We run rain or shine. If it’s raining, you’re welcome to sit on the lower level of the bus where you’ll be warm and toasty. If you’d rather brave the rain and sit on the upper deck, we will gladly provide you with an official City Sightseeing rain poncho at no extra charge.

What should I bring onto the bus with me?

Be sure to bring your camera if you have one. If you’re joining us on a hot and sunny day, consider bringing a hat and a bottle of water. And, of course, don’t forget your sense of adventure!

Will my bus ticket get me into all the attractions?

No. Although some of the city’s top attractions (Eaton Centre, St. Lawrence Market, Distillery, Chinatown etc.) are free to visit, others require that you buy a ticket to get in (CN Tower, Casa Loma, ROM, AGO etc.). You may, however, purchase discounted tickets to many important attractions from the staff on our buses!

Is the Harbour & Islands Cruise free with my bus ticket?

Yes. It is absolutely free!

What comes first: the bus or the boat?

You may start with either the bus or the boat; it’s entirely up to you! You could begin with the boat tour and pick up the bus after the cruise, or you could ride the bus tour and be dropped off at the boat when it’s finished. And remember that even if you started with the bus and got dropped off at the boat, your experience doesn’t have to end there; you can catch the bus again and keep hopping on and off!

One thing to keep in mind, though, is that the first bus of the day always departs earlier than the first boat of the day. So, if you’re looking to get an early start on your day with us, you might want to begin with the bus tour.

How long is the bus tour if I don’t get off at any stops?

The entire bus tour lasts approximately 2 hours from start to finish.

I’m not looking to hop on and off. Is this OK?

Yes. In fact this is how many of our customers decide to enjoy their tour experience; they join the tour at one of our stops, do a single fun-filled loop through the city, and finish at a point that is convenient for them.

How frequently do the buses run?

Our buses run approximately every 15 minutes during the peak summer months and somewhat less frequently during the slower season. Please feel free to contact us as your travel date nears for the most accurate scheduling information.

Can I bring my stroller onto the bus?

Yes, as long as it is collapsible.

When does the 1st bus start?

The first bus leaves Yonge & Dundas Square at 9:00 am

When does the last bus depart?

The last bus departs Yonge and Dundas Square at 4:55 pm, but it does not do a full loop.

Frequently asked questions, q: what is the best time to book the toronto hop-on hop-off tour.

September to November is the best time to plan a visit to Toronto. It is the fall season with cool weather and the city looks spectacular with autumnal colors all around. You can especially embrace and admire the breathtaking aesthetics by visiting Toronto’s main parks like Toronto Island Park, Trinity Bellwoods, and Evergreen Brick Works, to name a few.

Q: How many days are enough to explore Toronto?

You need at least a week to properly explore Toronto and its key highlights. However, we recommend spending at least 2 to 3 days and booking a hop-on hop-off sightseeing bus tour to make the most of the city in less time.

Q: How do hop-on hop-off Toronto bus tours work?

Toronto bus tour offers you the convenience and flexibility to get off at the nearest designated stop. No tour guide, you set your own itinerary. You’ll find all the stops are located strategically at all the major attractions, making your touring as hassle-free as possible. And then, when you’re ready to continue, return to a designated bus stop, show your pass, and hop back on the bus and onwards towards your next attraction. So, go ahead and make a whole loop of the route once you have your tour ticket, get familiar with the city and pick out your favorite places to visit and then return to them during your stay.

Q: What is the validity of the ticket?

There are several ticket options available to you, depending on your length of stay. Each bus tour will have validity from 24, 36, 48 to 72 hours. And the great thing is you can plan ahead as the vouchers are valid anywhere between 6 months to 1 year and can be used at any point during that period. Check the product page or bus tour operator for complete details.

Q: Where can I find a list of all the stops and a map of the various Toronto hop-on hop-off tour routes?

You can visit the relevant product page and check the Useful Downloads section to find the latest information as routes, stops, and timings change frequently.

HOW THE COMBO WORKS

When purchasing your Toronto-Niagara Combo, you will be asked to specify the date you would like to travel to Niagara, and you will be asked to provide your preferred pickup location or hotel name.

In the unlikely event that we are unable to collect you at your preferred location, we will reach out to you using the contact details provided by you during the booking process.

We will contact you by email the day before your Niagara Falls Day Tour to confirm what your pickup time and location will be on the day of your Niagara trip. Please check your emails for this message from us. If you have purchased Niagara Hornblower boat tour tickets from us along with your Niagara ticket, we will send you a separate email containing the QR code for the Voyage to the Falls Boat Tour.

Upon purchasing a Toronto-Niagara combo, you will be sent an E-Ticket. On this E-Ticket, the QR code that is attached to the photo of our double-decker bus is what you will present on the day you decide to join the Toronto Hop-on Hop-off City Tour. You will not need to print this E-Ticket – having the QR code available on your phone is all that is required. Unlike the Niagara portion of your Toronto-Niagara combo, the day and time that you decide to redeem your Toronto Hop-on Hop-off City Tour is flexible and no advance booking for the Toronto tour is necessary. Your Toronto Hop-on Hop-off City Tour tickets will be valid for a 24-hour period from when they are redeemed by one of our agents onsite. Please consult the Schedule page on this website for current Toronto Hop-on Hop-off City Tour pickup times and locations. You will not need to present your QR code for the Niagara Falls Day Tour.

All of our buses offer a narrated tour, either with a live English-speaking guide and/or a multilingual audio system. Our tours animate the sights and attractions along the route, and our on-board team members are more than happy to give you advice on how to make the most of your stay in our wonderful city.

For availability on live guides and multilingual buses, please call our office or visit our information booth at Yonge-Dundas Square. Multilingual buses offer narration in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Cantonese, and Mandarin. You can bring your own headphones to enjoy the tour, or we can provide them to you free of charge when you arrive.

On the boat, your Harbour and Island Cruise will be narrated by an experienced live tour guide. The fun, friendly and informative commentary will provide you with the backstory of the many landmarks you’ll see along the way, and leave visitors and locals alike feeling like they’ve learned some of the Toronto Harbour’s best kept secrets.

All of our bus and boat staff are available to answer your questions and offer thoughtful advice on how to make the most of your visit.

If I am travelling in a group and some of us want to do the full Toronto-Niagara combo, but others only want to do the Niagara Falls Day Tour. Is this possible?

Yes, absolutely. The only thing to keep in mind here is that if you’re purchasing two different types of tickets through this website, you’d have to purchase them in two separate transactions. For example, if you were buying two combo tickets and two Niagara tickets through this website, you’d need to buy the two combos in one transaction, and the two Niagara tickets in another transaction.

If I buy the combo, can I do the Niagara Falls portion and the hop-on hop-off city tour on the same day?

Unfortunately, this won’t be possible because the Niagara Falls is a full day tour, and the hop-on hop-off buses will be mostly finished by the time you return. Conversely, if you were to get onto the first hop-on hop-off bus that departs in the morning, the Niagara tour would have already departed by the time your Toronto tour had ended.

I have already bought a hop-on hop-off city tour, can I still do the combo?

Unfortunately, the only way to take advantage of the combo savings is to buy both the Toronto and Niagara portions of the combo at the same time. In other words, if you weren’t sure that you wanted to do the Niagara tour but you really wanted to do the Toronto tour, and you went ahead and purchased only the Toronto tour, you wouldn’t be able to buy the Niagara portion of the combo at a discount after the fact.

After I’ve booked my tickets online, how far in advance do I need to call in my desired trip date?

As a general rule, you’ll need to call in your desired Niagara Falls departure date at least 24 hour prior. The more notice you give us, the greater the guarantee that there will be enough seats available on the Niagara trip of your choice.

Can I buy combo tickets without first confirming that there are enough Niagara Falls Day Tour seats available on my desired travel date?

As long as you’re buying your combo tickets at least 24 hours before departure, it’s pretty safe to assume that there will still be Niagara seats available. If, however, you are buying your combo tickets less than 24 hours before the Niagara Falls Day Tour departure, it is advisable that you call us at 416-410-0536 to confirm seat availability before purchase.

Can I book a specific date for the Niagara Falls Day Tour portion of my combo online?

Please contact our office at 416-410-0536 or [email protected] to check seat availability and to make a reservation.

What if I can’t print the confirmation page out?

If you don’t have a printer, or if you’d just rather not have to print anything, you can bring your QR code with you on your phone. Your voucher can then be scanned and your ticket printed at the bus. Please remember that you’ll need to call in your desired Niagara trip date to us at 416-410-0536. Reservations for the Toronto City Tour are not required.

Do I save any money if I do both your hop-on hop-off city tour and your Niagara Falls Tour?

Yes! Our Toronto-Niagara combo is an unbeatable value and it’s an amazing way to explore both destinations for an incredibly low price.

The walking tour is suitable for all ages, but keep in mind that it involves a fair amount of walking and standing, so participants should be able to walk for at least 2.5 hours. Additionally, wearing comfortable walking shoes and bringing a water bottle can help ensure that you're comfortable throughout the tour

What is a Multilingual Audio tour?

A multilingual audio tour is a type of tour that provides visitors with audio guides in multiple languages. Visitors can use headphones to listen to the audio guide as they explore a destination, with the audio guide providing information about the sights, history, and culture of the area. Harris campaign launching bus tour focused on reproductive rights next week

Building upon the momentum of a two-day bus tour through southern Georgia , Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign announced Friday it is launching a “Fighting for Reproductive Freedom” bus tour next week, starting in Palm Beach, Fla.

The campaign says the first stop will include appearances by Senator Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., Harris-Walz campaign manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez, Republican TV personality Ana Navarro, and reproductive rights storyteller Anya Cook to “hold [former President Donald] Trump directly accountable for the devastating impacts of overturning Roe v. Wade, including threatening access to IVF.”

What You Need To Know

Vice president kamala harris’ campaign announced friday it is launching a “fighting for reproductive freedom” bus tour next week the tour will start in palm beach, fla., and make at least 50 stops before election day the first stop will include appearances by senator amy klobuchar, d-minn., harris-walz campaign manager julie chavez rodriguez, republican tv personality ana navarro and reproductive rights storyteller anya cook part of harris’ stump speech over the last several weeks has been a promise that if congress were to expand and protect reproductive rights with legislative action, she would sign the bill immediately.

Harris, who has long been a fan of bus tours (including in her first presidential bid in 2019), has been using bus tours in key battleground states such as Pennsylvania and Georgia over the last two weeks to meet voters where they are. The campaign says the reproductive rights tour will make at least 50 stops in the lead up to Election Day, “touching blue communities and red ones, with support for reproductive rights transcending party lines.”

“This election is about freedom – and the American people want and deserve the freedom to make their own health care decisions. Our campaign is hitting the road to meet voters in their communities, underscore the stakes of this election for reproductive freedom, and present them with the Harris-Walz ticket’s vision to move our country forward, which stands in stark contrast to Donald Trump’s plans to drag us back,” said Chavez Rodriguez in a statement. “As we crisscross the country, we’ll be driving that contrast home to red and blue voters and independents.”

Voters Spectrum News spoke with during Harris’ swing through Georgia brought up reproductive rights unprompted when asked what issues were driving them to the ballot box in November, an issue that benefited Democrats in 2022 when multiple states had abortion rights on the ballot, including in Michigan, Kentucky, and Kansas.

“Reproductive health is a big issue for any party, any anybody in any party, whether you're Republican, Independent like myself, or Democratic,” said Gerald Chambers.

“I feel like we shouldn't be told what we can do with our bodies by men,” said Grace Perry, who after voting for former President Trump in 2020, said she is considering casting her ballot for Harris based on the issue.

Following their appearance at the first night of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago last week, Amanda Zurawski, Hadley Duvall, and Kaitlyn Joshua, are also expected to join the tour. The three women have been sharing their stories of abortion, miscarriage, and pregnancy, and how denying abortion care to women can be life threatening.

Zurawski sued the state of Texas in the wake of the Dobbs decision by the Supreme Court, following a miscarriage that led to a life-threatening case of sepsis after being denied abortion care. Joshua, in telling her story over the years, has detailed being turned away from two emergency rooms in the middle of a miscarriage. Duvall was raped and impregnated by her stepfather at age 12, and while she ultimately miscarried, her home state of Kentucky currently excludes exceptions for cases of rape or incest — meaning that women and girls in a similar situation are excluded.

“What is so beautiful about a child having to carry her parent’s child?” Duvall questioned in a poignant moment on the DNC stage in Chicago.

Part of Harris’ stump speech over the last several weeks has been a promise that if Congress were to expand and protect reproductive rights with legislative action, she would sign the bill immediately. “One does not have to abandon their faith or deeply held beliefs to agree the government should not be telling her what to do,” Harris said during her rally in Savannah Thursday, adding a warning that despite Trump’s insistence that leaving the issue up to individual states is the right approach, he will sign a national abortion ban if elected.

The campaign has teased appearances by elected officials, celebrities, and Republicans for Harris-Walz over the course of the tour.
