Before the world got itself in a big damn... lockdown, and PJ shows were cancelled/postponed, The Live On 4 Legs podcast and Livefootsteps had teamed up to produced a PJ Fantasy league in 2020, unfortunately that had to be put on hold as well. Randy at LO4L podcast previously held the inaugural fantasy season in 2018, this year it's coming back and it's also being hosted on LiveFootsteps as PJ gets back on tour. This year there are 6 leagues, each named for a PJ drummer, even the obscure Jimmy Shoaf gets a shoutout so everyone gets a chance behind the kit. 365 days, and apparently also a leap day, Pearl Jam has missed a few days over the years that they haven't played. One of those days is Eddie Vedder's birthday. They've never played a show on his birthday; probably for obvious reasons being so close to Christmas, however one can only hope that some time we'll be able to give him a proper Happy Birthday sing-a-long from the front row.

The Most Played Song Live off Every Pearl Jam Album

Following Pearl Jam 's 2024 North American tour announcement , we thought it would be fun to look at the most played song live off every one of their albums.

Pearl Jam are one of few hard rock bands from the 1990s Seattle music scene that have a large discography, with their 12th studio album  Dark Matter  coming out in just a few months .

All 11 of Pearl Jam's studio albums have peaked within the Top 10 of the Billboard 200, five of which made it to the very top of the chart. Even their 2020 effort  Gigaton  landed at No. 5, making the rockers a strong commercial success three decades into their career.

They've also been a touring machine since the early '90s — Setlist.fm notes that they've played over 900 concerts since their formation. Unsurprisingly, the majority of the songs that they've played live the most are from their first few albums, particularly  Ten  (1991),  Vs.  (1993) and  Vitalogy  (1994). This is a common find with artists, especially when their debut album is as strong as  Ten is.

We wanted to dig a little deeper though and uncover which songs from each of Pearl Jam's 11 albums have been played the most during their touring career. So, we checked out Setlist.fm's Tour Statistics for Pearl Jam  to see which songs they've played live the most.

Pearl Jam Is Finally Hitting the Road in Support of ‘Gigaton’

Two years after putting their tour in support of LP Gigaton on hold due to the pandemic, Pearl Jam is ready to head out on the road for a North American tour, starting May 3. The Eddie Vedder -fronted band will make 19 stops across Canada and the U.S., including two shows at L.A.’s Forum and one at New York’s Madison Square Garden.

Josh Klinghoffer — the former guitarist for Red Hot Chilli Peppers — is set to open for Pearl Jam with his solo project Pluralone. He’ll also join Pearl Jam as a touring member alongside Vedder, Stone Gossard, Jeff Ament, Mike McCready, and Matt Cameron.

The tour will feature efforts to reduce Pearl Jam’s carbon footprint by paying $200 per ton for carbon dioxide mitigation — a 10-time increase to the band’s efforts in past years. The band has made a conscious effort during past tours to minimize their impact on the environment and global warming.

“We are proud of our prior efforts to mitigate our inevitable carbon footprint from touring over the past 20 years but the time to multiply that effort is clearly right now,” said Gossard in a release. “By committing to this aggressive pricing, we hope to equally amplify our efforts and gather partners who share our urgency to make the investments and innovations required to move our world to a more conscious, carbon balanced economy.”

Tickets for the tour go on sale Monday.

Pearl Jam’s most recent album featured songs such as “Dance of the Clairvoyants,” “Superblood Wolfmoon,” and Retrograde.” The band last went on tour in 2018 with several stops at baseball stadiums. Along with their North America dates in May and the fall, the group is also heading to Europe this summer.

I'm pretty sure this is one guy keeping this updated, so kudos to him. I'm a stats person, so this is right up my alley. I also love being able to quickly check the rarity of a song during a show when they start to play something I know isn't very common. Keep up the good work!!

Pearl Jam has announced a slew of new 2023 US tour dates, which will kick off in Minneapolis in August.

The iconic grunge band will perform nine shows in August and September, making stops in St. Paul, Chicago, Indianapolis, Fort Worth, and Austin. It will be joined by special guests Inhaler as support for the dates in Chicago, Indianapolis, and Austin, with the opening act for the other shows to be announced in the coming weeks.

With the new tour dates, Pearl Jam will try to protect fans by giving access to fairly priced tickets, the majority of which will be provided to members of its Ten Club fan club. Tickets will be non-transferable in all states except Illinois, where it is prohibited by law. In a press release, the band apologized to fans in the state “who may be subject to increased ticket prices on the secondary market.”

PJ Premium tickets will also be sold, with those seats located in a variety of preferred locations and will account for approximately 10 percent of the ticket inventory per show. They are priced at market rate to offset touring costs while also keeping prices low for the rest of the ticket inventory. PJ Premium tickets will be available through a Verified Fan sale, along with regularly priced tickets.

The 2023 US tour marks the first time Pearl Jam will use all-in pricing, which means the ticket price listed is the full out-of-pocket price inclusive of fees.

A special pre-sale for members of the Ten Club who held membership on April 19, 2023, will begin today. General public tickets will then be sold through Ticketmaster Verified Fan, which requires advance registration. The registration window is open now through 5pm PT on April 25 –  you can register here . The Verified Fan sale will then begin on April 28 at 10am local time.

Last year, Pearl Jam committed to addressing its carbon footprint as a touring band with an initiative that saw the band pledging to pay $200 per ton of CO2 used on its Gigaton tour. Globally, the carbon offset market varies, but the average amount paid per ton of CO2 is between $1-15.

Pearl Jam’s Dark Matter World Tour 2024: How To Get Tickets

P earl Jam’s massive international tour is kicking off very soon! The celebration of the band’s new album Dark Matter will hit stadiums across the world in the US, UK, Ireland, New Zealand, Spain, Australia, Germany, and Portugal. They’re also bringing along some killer supporting acts that include Deep Sea Diver, Richard Ashcroft, The Murder Capital, Glen Hansard, and Pixies. 

Luckily, it looks like tickets are still available for many of the upcoming dates. And we’ll help you snatch them up before they’re gone.

The first stop on the Pearl Jam 2024 Tour will be on May 4 in Vancouver, British Columbia at Rogers Arena with support from Deep Sea Diver. The final tour date will be on November 23 in Sydney, Australia at Giants Stadium with support from Pixies.

Ready to snag those tickets? The main spot to reserve your spot to see Pearl Jam live in 2024 will be the band’s website , though many tickets are already sold out there.

Ticketmaster also has a ton of tickets available, and select tour dates are currently selling presale tickets. Everything else is available for general sale where available.

If you can’t find tickets on Pearl Jam’s site or Ticketmaster, you can always check Stubhub . Stubhub is known for having at least some tickets available for sold-out shows. Plus, the platform’s FanProtect Program ensures that your purchase is legitimate and free of scams.

For non-US tour dates, Viagogo is another great spot to get tickets. Fans in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Ireland, the UK, Germany, Spain, and Portugal should check it out.

Pearl Jam, Neil Young with Crazy Horse top the 2024 Ohana Festival lineup

Ohana Festival curator and Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder has announced the lineup for the eighth Ohana Festival, which is scheduled to return to Doheny State Beach in Dana Point for a three-day weekend Sept. 27-29.

Headlining the first and third night in celebration of its newest album, “Dark Matter,” Pearl Jam is set to play on Friday, Sept. 27, and Sunday, Sept. 29, and Neil Young & Crazy Horse on Saturday, Sept. 28.

This year, the Ohana Festival will feature more than 35 artists, including Alanis Morissette, Turnpike Troubadours, Garbage, Maren Morris, Black Pumas, Idles, Jenny Lewis, The Breeders, Crowded House, Pillow Queens, Dogstar, Bad Nerves and more.

Last year’s Ohana Festival was headlined by The Killers, Eddie Vedder and The Foo Fighters. The artists perform across three stages with additional programming inside The Cove where the Storyteller’s Stage is located. The Cove is where concert fans can attend panel discussions by environmentalists, pro surfers, conservationists and researchers to learn about protecting and preserving the ocean and the beaches, as well as a variety of other charitable causes and volunteer efforts.

Ten Club Presale tickets went on sale today, with general presale beginning at 10 a.m. Thursday. Three-day, single-day and VIP options will be available at ohanafest.com.

The three-day festival has been designated as an “impact project” in the yearlong San Diego Tijuana World Design Capital 2024. Pearl Jam debuts at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 chart (dated May 4) with its latest studio album, Dark Matter , marking the 13th top 10-charting effort for the band. The set launches with a little over 59,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending April 25, according to Luminate.

Also in the top 10 of the new Billboard 200, as earlier reported , Taylor Swift ’s The Tortured Poets Department makes a milestone debut atop the list, with 2.61 million equivalent album units earned in its first week.

Of Dark Matter ’s first-week sum of 59,000 units, album sales comprise 52,000, SEA units comprise 7,000 (equaling 9.33 million on-demand official streams of the set’s 11 songs) and TEA units comprise a negligible sum. Notably, of its 52,000 sales sum, vinyl sales comprise a little over 24,000, enhanced by its availability across 12 different color vinyl variants.

The new album was led by the set’s title track, which hit No. 1 on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart in March (the group’s fourth No. 1 and first since 1998) and has reached the top 10 on Alternative Airplay (the act’s 20th top 10 hit).

At No. 2 on the new Billboard 200, Future and Metro Boomin ’s former leader We Don’t Trust You rises one spot with 69,000 equivalent album units earned (down 17%). Beyoncé ’s chart-topping Cowboy Carter slips 2-3 with 66,000 (down 33%), and Morgan Wallen ’s former No. 1 One Thing at a Time is a non-mover at No. 4 with 64,000 (down 11%).
