Dance the World_1

Our Trip to Southern California with Adventures America/WorldStrides was amazing!  Everything was well organized and on time.  I used to plan these types of trips myself, but taking a group out of state and getting around a new destination, is no simple task.  The experience, professionalism, and expertise of the WorldStrides staff made things easy for me as a coach.  They took care of everything so all we had to do was enjoy the trip.  We cannot wait to travel with WorldStrides again!  ~ Melanie K - Issaquah WA

Testimonials

” I would like to take this opportunity to thank your for organizing the trip to Orlando for the West Orange Music Department. The trip was considered a major success. From the planning stages to the last day, you played a major role in making this an experience to remember for all of our staff and students. Your professionalism is acknowledged by the way you provided us with the many options to choose from and by working within the budget of the student population. Every detail while we were in Florida was handled in a way which enabled the staff to focus on their responsibilities. I would also like to express my gratitude for your assistance with our emergency situation on the last day. You played an important role I assisting Mr. Kelly during this time of need. I appreciate you taking the time to obtain the flight for the student who became ill and the accompanying staff. It’s comforting to know that we are working with a true professional as yourself. I look forward to planning future trips with you and your company. “

The personal touches that BRT provides. Your company gets to know the people they work with. I have never felt like a "number" with BRT.

Leslie Schmidt Columbia Central Junior High School Class Trip, DC Tour

I appreciated the flexibility Bob Rogers showed us with the billing and various payments we had to make. We thought we were adding more and ended up not but you were great about giving us extra time to work out what we needed to on our end.

Loraine Wistrom Plum Grove Junior High School Band, Chicago Tour

BRT is always on top of all details. Even when something has slipped through the cracks, changed, or something unexpected comes up, BRT is flexible enough to make the changes needed to make everything right. We have always been so well taken care of and the personal attention is what makes your company special.

Dameon Place Pella Community High School Band, Orlando Tour

This was my 5th trip with Bob Rogers, and I appreciate the professionalism and also the willingness to work with me and my students to make each trip the very best it can be.

Trey Jacobs Nashville School of the Arts Choir, Atlanta & Tuscaloosa Tour

You make the process so easy - step-by-step of what needs to be done, guidance along the way, available (and quick) to respond to questions and making me feel like me and my students are your priority.

Beth Vaughn Bowling Green High School Choir, New York City Tour

The quality of service that you provided us with was second to none. The organization and communication were exceptional and we always felt we were in “the loop” on things both before and during the trip.

Bob Mecozzi Amos Alonzo Stagg High School Band, Orlando Tour

BRT hands down has been the absolute best travel company I have worked with in my 18 years in education. My interactions with BRT have always been so much more than just traveling from one destination to another...the focus has always been on people and providing them with experiences of a lifetime.

Barry Houser University of Illinois Band, Ireland Tour

From the scheduling, to planning, to overseeing, to leading, to customer service, everyone involved was courteous, prompt, and hospitable. Everyone did their jobs well and turned the trip experience into something better than we had anticipated.

David Dvorak Lakewood Middle School Band, Nashville Tour

Very Organized - even when problems develop. We've gone on enough trips with Bob Rogers to know how BRT operates - always first class, always prepared.

Joe Carl Sumner High School Band, Los Angeles Tour

The whole BRT team was extremely attentive, accommodating and reliable. Every detail was attended to and my stress level the entire trip was at an all-time low.

8 Back To School Field Trip Ideas!

July 19, 2019

The school year is quickly approaching! Do you have all of your field trip ideas planned out for the year? Field trips are educational experiences for the students in a different setting other than in the classroom. It’s important for the students to get to interact in a new area and have fun at the same time. Instead of doing the same class trips, why not try out something new? My School Dance wants to encourage teachers to create more field trips and activities that make the students engage with one another. Here are some ideas:

  • Theater Performances – Live theater can provide students with a different outlook compared to television or radio. Try to have students read the story beforehand and analyze the main parts in the production afterwards.
  • Landfills/Recycling Plant – This might not seem like the most exciting trip to the students, but recycling plants can be very interesting. A trip like this will open the student’s eyes to a new concept they might have not thought about.
  • Restaurants – This is a great idea for any foreign language teachers out there. Take your class to a local restaurant that specializes in the food of the culture the students are learning about. Have the students test out their skills by ordering their food in the language you’re teaching them.
  • Outdoor/Environment – Depending on where you’re located, take your students on an outdoor adventure. This could be exploring a national park, bird watching, touring a cave, or even going on a hike.
  • Museums – Explore a local museum depending on what your students are learning. This could be an art, history, science, or even foreign language museum.
  • Farms – Who doesn’t love going to a local farm to go apple-picking or find pumpkins? I know this was my favorite fall field trip when I was in school! A lot of farms have educational experiences that are also a lot of fun for the students.
  • Volunteer – Instead of a normal class field trip, schedule a volunteer day at a local non-profit. Have your class vote on the non-profit they want to go to and plan one day for the whole class to volunteer. It’s a great way to get out of the classroom and to do something good for the community.
  • Back To School Dance – Plan a school dance at a local event venue for the students. Dances are a great way to get students to engage with one another and just have fun!

Try to find field trips that are either free for the students or have a lower cost student-rate. This way it’s more likely to get approved by the school board and more students will be able to go. It can be difficult to manage a lot of field trips, especially if you have a big class. Try out My School Dance’s platform to manage your school’s field trips. Students are able to purchase their tickets online and sign all of their permission slips online too. This way you have an easier way to ensure everything for the field trips are in one place and you don’t have to do as much work!

The platform is free for schools to use! If you want to learn more about My School Dance , just schedule a 10 minute demo . Sign your school up today so you can start managing your school’s field trips now!

Moondance is an adventure travel company for teens going to some of the world’s most awe-inspiring places. In doing so, we put ourselves in new places and new situations that require us to fully engage in what’s going on around us. These are the environments and individuals that inspire us to live in the moment. This is Moondance.

Moondance is an opportunity for your child to take risks and face challenges without you there to clear the path for them. The "unplugged" feature allows them to step away from the outwardly focused world of social media, and to spend time getting to know themselves and learning empathy for others. Top 12 Educational School Trip Ideas for Student Success

Table of Contents:

Learning is a never-ending process. It’s not only an educational institution that teaches you! And when it comes to students, what better way than a fun and engaging field trip!?

After all, who doesn’t enjoy a great field trip? It allowed students to leave life’s routine and experience something completely different. And, when it serves the purpose of an educational trip, students can’t wait!

But planning a school trip is more than just fun and excitement! It must add value to the students learning! If you have ideas for student educational trips, this article is for you!

Here, we list the 12 best school trip ideas to help students enhance their learning journey.

We are your companions, like the best essay writing websites that help you prepare the paper by offering abundant ideas, knowledge, and understanding of your requirements.

We’ve listed the fun learning opportunities for students of all ages at different price points that teachers can have a look at. Let’s get started!

Idea 1: Local Museums

What better way than spending a day at the local museums that hold the history of the places?

It doesn’t have to be a history museum; it could be art, science, or a combination!

Museums and school trips are both fun and educational. Students get to learn about different cultures, periods, and history and gain appreciation for the work of artists and scientists.

It is also a great approach to give a sense of belonging to them about their place’s history.

Museums are also a great way to help students write a paper about it. Instead of having to reach out to a research paper writer who already holds the ideas and expertise to write the best essay, students can do the job on their own with a bit of help from them.

Idea 2: Outdoor Adventures

Often surrounded by four walls and classes, why wouldn’t students love a fun outdoor activity? Nothing gets students outdoors like an educational trip. A trip with the teacher ensures that they are aware of what to do and what not to do, but in all, they will have great fun.

An idea of the campground or state park sounds excellent. Students will get to explore nature while learning about the environment. Further, other activities include rock climbing, zip-lining, and hiking. With, outdoor adventure trips seek additional care from teachers!

school dance trip

Idea 3: Cultural Destinations

When planning a school trip, consider embarking on an educational adventure at a cultural destination that speaks history and culture. It could be a historic site, a cultural center, or an archaeological site.

In such trips, students explore customs, beliefs, and cultures. Museums are also a great idea, but the cultural destination holds its value! Students can gain insight into the people’s lifestyles in other countries and the periods they lived through, and even participate in workshops to learn more about them.

Idea 4: Farm Visits

Educational trips for students , especially younger children, demand simplicity and fun learning. They barely understand the history of exploring around the museums. Here, a fun farm visit is both exciting and educational!

Farms are perfect for exploring nature closely. Such a trip with the teacher will help students learn about the importance of sustainable farm practices, healthy food choices, and animal husbandry. Plus, they’ll enjoy watching and feeding animals.

Idea 5: Aquariums and Zoos

Next on our list of school trip ideas are Aquariums and zoos. They offer many educational opportunities for students, especially the younger ones! Here, they will be able to learn about animals and their habitat.

In fact, it is a way for them to see the animals they’ve always seen on screen and paper.

In aquariums, they can uncover the ocean’s mysteries and lifestyles. Plus, it is always great to see some wildlife close!

Idea 6: Art Galleries

Art has its own way of expressing itself. It speaks differently to everyone. With art gallery trips, students can immerse themselves in art and history.

They can explore the work of famous artists, view unique art, and get a deeper understanding of cultures and traditions worldwide.

Idea 7: Theater and Dance Performance

A bit of entertainment included in the learning process does no harm. A field trip for students to theater and dance performances encourages appreciation of performing arts.

To ensure that these cultures stay extinct, the student must know what theater and dance performance is! They will be exposed to different forms of art. Further, it can be an essential lesson to them on collaboration, communication, and expression.

Idea 8: Theme Parks

The theme park is also a great field trip suggestion, depending on the subject. You can give students a thrilling educational experience at amusement or theme parks.

They can learn more about physics and engineering while riding and playing! Further, from a business perspective, they get the idea behind what it takes to run a successful business . Amusement parks are also a place to practice mathematics by calculating the cost of food and rides.

Idea 9: Industrial Sites

If your students are more into business, visiting factories and industrial sites can significantly help them.

Here, they can learn how things are made from scratch. They can learn the manufacturing process, discover the importance of safety measures, gain insight into the product, and more.

Factories can be eye-opening experiences for students to help them understand the value of hard work and effort.

Idea 10: Charity Events and Fundraisers

A learning journey towards sympathy and affection teaches a lot. When you let your students attend charity events and fundraisers, you teach them the importance of helping others.

Charity events provide great insight into how a small contribution can make a big difference. Further, charities and fundraisers can be something other than a school trip. Students can volunteer in these activities.

Idea 11: Business Tours

Business tours are a great initiative to explore the world and entrepreneurship firsthand. On such a trip, students learn about different industries and how they operate, and they even meet entrepreneurs who can share inspiring stories.

Going on a business tour and exploring a part of the world they want to become familiar with can be an invaluable experience for students.

Idea 12: International Trips

While it might be a bit costly, compared to other ideas mentioned on the list, an international trip gives the students the taste of another culture.

Here, they can explore different customs and businesses, learn about foreign languages and foreign cultures, and accept the beauty of the places. International trips are an unforgettable experience for everyone!

California high school principal moved to lower position over 'inappropriate' dance caught on video

Marc Anthony Lopez Image

ATWATER, California -- A high school principal in Atwater, California has agreed to accept a lower position after a viral video from a school pep rally raised concerns among parents.

In a news release, the Merced Union High School District (MUHSD) said it had accepted Mr. Robert Nunes's resignation as Principal at Buhach Colony High School. MUHSD said that Nunes had accepted the role of Associate Principal and would start the following day.

Parents raised concern after a video of Nunes dancing with the school's mascot at Buhach Colony's back-to-school pep rally on August 16 went viral.

Many called the dance inappropriate, while others defended the principal, saying he was a great influence.

Nunes was placed on administrative leave when school returned the following Monday.

"This decision comes as part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and respectful environment for all students and staff. Corrective action has been taken with all staff involved," MUHSD said in a statement.

The district says Interim Principal Torrin Johnson will remain in his role until further notice.

MUHSD says it will open the school principal position next spring to secure a permanent principal moving forward.

High school principal in Merced County resigns after dance with mascot; now associate principal

Buhach Colony High School principal Robert Nunes has resigned following participating in what many people felt was an inappropriate dance at a back-to-school rally in August.

The Merced Union High School District announced it accepted Nunes’ resignation and he has accepted the position as the associate principal. Nunes begins his new role effective Thursday, Sept. 5, according to the district.

Nunes was placed on administrative leave on Aug. 19.

A video of Nunes dancing with the school mascot “Thor” during a back-to-school rally on Friday, Aug. 16, was posted on social media.

The video shows Nunes seated as the school mascot dances in front of him. Nunes then fired a golden confetti gun. Nunes then stands up, switching places with the mascot. Nunes dances in front of the sitting mascot, putting his hands on Thor’s chest and pushing him away.

Nunes then grabs a microphone and says, “What happens at Buhach, stays at Buhach.”

The rally had a Las Vegas theme, according to students.

“This decision comes as part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and respectful environment,” said district spokesperson Viviana Fuentes about the district placing Nunes on administrative leave.

Nunes was in his first year as principal at Buhach Colony. He spent years as an associate principal in the district at El Capitan and Atwater high schools.

MUHSD Executive Director Torrin Johnson has served as interim principal at Buhach Colony while the district conducted its investigation. Johnson will continue serving as interim principal until further notice.

The district will open the principal position in the spring of 2025 to secure a permanent principal moving forward, according to Fuentes.

“Corrective action has been taken with all staff involved,” Fuentes said.

Fuentes said she couldn’t elaborate.

“The district is limited in what details it can disclose since it is a personnel matter,” Fuentes said.

Taylor Swift Seemingly Busts Out ‘So High School’ Dance Moves at Kansas City Chiefs Home Opener

Taylor Swift Seemingly Busts out So High School Dance Moves at Kansas City Chiefs Home Opener

Taylor Swift may be on a break from The Eras Tour , but she appeared to bust out some choreography from the show at the first Kansas City Chiefs game of the season.

Swift, 34, was spotted doing moves from her song “So High School” while sitting in her suite at Arrowhead Stadium on Thursday, September 5. “SO HIGH SCHOOL vibes 🥺,” one X user captioned a side-by-side comparison of Swift at the game and her Eras Tour performance.

In the video, Swift leaned forward and rolled her arms down while appearing to mouth the lyrics, “You know how to ball, I know Aristotle.” Just like her tour choreography, Swift followed-up the move by clapping her hands as the game continued.

Swift released “So High School” as a part of her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department , earlier this year. The track is heavily speculated to be about her boyfriend, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce .

The lyrics feature several nods to the athlete, 34, from referencing a 2016 interview where Kelce was asked to play “Kiss, Marry, Kill” with her, Ariana Grande and Katy Perry as his options. “Are you gonna marry, kiss or kill me? It’s just a game, but really,” she sings.

Kelce’s close friend Harry Clark seemingly confirmed the lyric , “Touch me while your friends play Grand Theft Auto,” by posting an Instagram Story of himself playing the popular video game not long after TTPD ’s April release.

“So High School” also features what many believe is a shout-out to Travis’ dad , Ed Kelce . “I feel like laughing in the middle of practice / Do that impression you did of your dad again,” Swift sings, referencing how Travis frequently impersonates his father on his and Jason Kelce ’s “New Heights” podcast.

Swift continued to allude to her relationship with Travis when she incorporated “So High School” and other TTPD songs into the Eras Tour back in May. For the number, the stairs on the stage are lit up to look like bleachers while the stage’s screens feature graphics of stadium lights.

Travis — who previously named “So High School” as his favorite of his girlfriend’s songs — was spotted singing along to the track at Swift’s fourth and final Paris Eras Tour show in May, during which she was seen blowing a kiss to the football player before the song. He was later seen copying Swift and her dancers’ “So High School” moves at one of her London shows the following month. In London, Swift also stopped to strike Kelce’s archer touchdown pose during her June 21 show.

The Chiefs defeated the Baltimore Ravens 27 to 20 on Thursday. It is likely Swift will continue to attend Chiefs games before resuming The Eras Tour next month in Miami.
