It lets you access your data quickly and easily, and you benefit from relevant information and personalised services at all times. And that applies to all airlines of the Lufthansa Group.

Chat Assistant

We will help you if you have specific issues: once you have logged in with your Travel ID, all your information is stored for our Chat Assistant, Nelly. If your flight is cancelled, we will look for alternative travel options for you and enable you to rebook or get a refund. We will also answer general questions about your trip.

Use the SWISS app more effectively when you log in with your Travel ID: your personal travel assistant will inform you automatically and in real time about all the important topics relating to your current flight – even offline. Check in conveniently and get your boarding pass. You also enjoy other benefits such as an overview of our on-board services and more.

SWISS Connect

Internet on board.

Log in with your Travel ID via wi-fi and you automatically receive the latest information about your trip. SWISS Connect is one of the first European airlines that gives you unlimited access to complimentary messaging via messenger services such as WhatsApp on long-haul flights. You can also browse the internet inexpensively on board.

Miles & More

You can also earn miles with your Travel ID on request. To do so activate Miles & More right away when you register or later in your account. With Miles & More you earn miles and points with 40 airline partners. You also earn award miles on hotel and car rental bookings, online shopping and in your everyday life. You can redeem your miles for fantastic awards, unique experiences or your next trip to your dream destination. If you fly often, you can look forward to achieving a frequent flyer status and enjoying even more comfort on your travels.

Umstellung von Swiss auf Einheits-Login sorgt für Chaos

Die Schweizer Airline bat Kundinnen und Kunden, eine Travel ID zu erstellen. Mit dem Einheits-Login kann man auf allen Lufthansa-Websites gleich einloggen. Doch die Umstellung bereitet bei Swiss Probleme.

Swiss-Kundin: Hat jetzt vielleicht zwei Logins.

Der neue Service nennt sich Travel ID. «Registrieren Sie sich noch heute», schrieb Swiss Ende dieser Tage an alle Empfängerinnen und Empfänger ihres Newsletters, «und profitieren Sie von den zahlreichen Vorteilen bei der Buchung, beim Check-in und während Ihrer Reise». Mit dem neuen Einheits-Login könne man sich bei allen Fluglinien der Lufthansa Group und auch bei Miles and More einloggen.

Dadurch entfalle in Zukunft die wiederholte Eingabe bei Flugbuchungen, so die Schweizer Fluggesellschaft weiter. Reisen werde so «noch bequemer» denn ab jetzt gelte: «ein Login, viele Möglichkeiten». Erst ganz unten in der Mail brachte sie den Hinweis an, dass Nutzer mit bestehendem Konto sich nicht für die neue Travel ID anmelden, sondern abwarten sollen.

Betroffene werden von Swiss informiert

Viele haben das offenbar übersehen. Mit Folgen: Sie besitzen nun ein zweites Konto und eine zweite Miles-and-More-Nummer. Und auf Ihr altes Konto können sie nicht mehr zugreifen, wie zahlreiche Leserinnen und Leser berichten. Und so sehen Sie auch Ihre Buchungen nicht mehr. Die technische Hotline ist entsprechen überlastet. Wartezeiten von mehr als einer Stunde sind die Regel.

«Wir haben vereinzelte Anfragen zu doppelt angelegten swiss.com-Profilen bekommen und können bestätigen, dass die Betroffenen in einem solchen Fall vorübergehend nicht auf das ursprüngliche Konto zugreifen können», bestätigt ein Sprecher von Swiss. Auf das Miles-and-More-Konto könne man aber mit der arten Mitgliedsnummer weiterhin zugreifen. Man nehme mit den betroffenen Kundinnen und Kunden Kontakt auf.

So stellen Sie auf die Travel ID um, wenn Sie bereits ein Miles & More Profil haben

Ab sofort können Sie sich bei Miles & More ganz bequem mit einer von Ihnen gewählten E-Mail-Adresse und einem Passwort einloggen – mit Ihrer Travel ID. Diese ist zusätzlich Ihr einheitliches Login zu Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Lufthansa und SWISS und damit zu allen Buchungen bei diesen Airlines. Die Anmeldung mit Servicekartennummer und PIN ist weiterhin möglich.

So funktioniert die Umstellung:

Melden Sie sich wie gewohnt in Ihrem Miles & More Konto an.

Sie werden automatisch aufgefordert, auf die Travel ID umzustellen.

Legen Sie Ihre gewünschte E-Mail-Adresse und das Passwort fest.

Fertig! Nun können Sie bequem alle Möglichkeiten der Travel ID auf den Kanälen der Lufthansa Group und bei Miles & More nutzen.

Wenn Sie sich heute schon mit Ihrer E-Mail-Adresse und Ihrem Passwort anmelden können, haben Sie die Travel ID bereits. In diesem Fall müssen Sie Ihr Profil nicht umstellen.

So erhalten Sie Ihre Travel ID, wenn Sie noch kein Miles & More Profil haben

Nur wenn Sie weder bei einer Airline noch bei Miles & More ein Profil haben, müssen Sie sich für die Travel ID registrieren. Für Ihre Registrierung legen Sie selbst eine E-Mail-Adresse und ein Passwort fest. Dieses muss mindestens 8 Zeichen haben, davon 1 Großbuchstaben, 1 Kleinbuchstaben, 1 Ziffer und 1 Sonderzeichen. Sie erhalten dann per Mail einen Aktivierungslink, der 24 Stunden gültig ist. Prüfen Sie Ihren Spam-Ordner, wenn Sie keinen Link erhalten haben. Sollte Ihre E-Mail-Adresse nicht akzeptiert werden, haben Sie wahrscheinlich bereits ein Travel ID Profil. Pro E-Mail-Adresse kann nur ein Profil angelegt werden. 

So verbinden Sie Ihre Travel ID mit Ihrem Miles & More Konto

Wenn Sie sich bereits über Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Lufthansa oder SWISS für die Travel ID registriert haben und zusätzlich ein Miles & More Profil haben, können Sie beide Profile ganz einfach zusammenführen. Loggen Sie sich dafür auf einem Airline-Kanal mit Ihrer Travel ID ein und verbinden Sie die Konten auf der Profilseite im Bereich Vielfliegerprogramm.

In Ihrer Region stehen relevante Angebote für Sie zur Auswahl. Leider liegen diese teilweise auf Englisch und nicht in Ihrer ausgewählten Sprache vor. Weitere Funktionen und Informationen können Sie selbstverständlich in Ihrer gewohnten Sprache nutzen.

Citizens of EU/EFTA member states Open accordion

You must have a valid passport or national identity card to enter Switzerland. In some instances, Switzerland will accept a travel document that has expired. You can find out whether this applies to you here Overview of ID and visa provisions according to nationality.

Citizens of non-European states Open accordion

Citizens of countries outside the EU and EFTA who are not coming to Switzerland to work may stay in the country for a maximum of 3 months if they have a passport that is valid for at least 3 months after the scheduled date of departure from Switzerland and if the passport was issued less than 10 years ago.

Citizens of certain non-European countries also need a visa to enter Switzerland. You can find out if this applies to you on the page about visas for foreign nationals .

Minors travelling without a parent Open accordion

Unlike other countries, Switzerland does not have any special provisions on minors who enter Switzerland unaccompanied by family members or parents.

However, it is advisable for minors in this situation to carry a letter signed by their parents or guardian permitting such travel. The letter should contain the personal details of the parents/guardian, their telephone number and:

the parents’ names and identity document number (and possibly also a photocopy of the document);

the names, identity document number and address of any person accompanying the minor;

name and identity document number of the minor;

itinerary and dates of travel permitted by the parents/guardian.

Some communes and cantons provide a special form for this purpose (see example from the canton of Vaud). However, permission from the parents/guardian may also take the form of a letter.

• The Swiss Travel Pass has been developed for guests from abroad. It is available to persons permanently resident outside Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein.
• The Swiss Travel Pass is available online or at any staffed public transport point of sale.
• For online purchasing, purchase as a “guest”. You do not need a login.
• The Swiss Travel Pass and the Swiss Family Card cannot be loaded onto a SwissPass card. You will not receive a customer number or an additional card.
• Children aged under 6 travel free.
