Experience the beauty, architectural splendor, and New England charm of Boston, one of America’s most historically significant and world-renowned cities. From the moment you step off the bus, you’ll be immersed in the rich depth of American history, as the story of our nation’s past unfolds before you.

We’ll take care of your transportation and itinerary, while you sit back in comfort and enjoy the vibrant and historical city of Boston. We even offer convenient pick-up locations from midtown Manhattan. All you need to do is show up, and get ready for a day of adventure!

Although Boston is one of America’s most renowned and widely recognized cities, it holds a unique small-town charm and vibrant energy that is unlike any other metropolitan city in the US. The captivating sites, stately architectural buildings, and famous landmarks you’ll visit on this tour will weave together the story of America’s road to independence, as you walk along the same cobbled streets where our founding fathers once strolled.

We’ll show you the best that Boston has to offer, all in one exciting day packed with sights, sounds, and historical thrills.

Cambridge is home to two of the most storied and prestigious institutions in the world, Harvard University and MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology)! Harvard campus is majestic and breathtaking, bustling with student life and youthful energy, yet showcasing the age-old traditions, legacies, and ivy-covered brick buildings that bring this world-class campus to life.

We’ll visit Copley Square, one of the most famous and idyllic locations in Boston, which is home to Trinity Church, the Boston Public Library, the John Hancock Tower, and many other national landmarks. Did you know that Trinity Church is the only church ranked among the top ten buildings ever erected in the United States? We’ll stop at this architectural masterpiece, and we’ll also get a glimpse of the sleek rising façade of the John Hancock Tower.

Lovers of literature, art, and culture will especially enjoy our visit to the Boston Public Library, one of the most spectacular libraries in America. The ornate architecture and expansive literary displays are absolutely stunning, and you’ll marvel at the collections of paintings, tapestries, sculptures, and the entire gallery dedicated to John Singer Sargent murals. This library is truly a one-of-a-kind American treasure!

Our tour also offers you the chance to step back in time with a visit to one of Boston’s oldest neighborhoods, Beacon Hill. This picturesque historic delight has beautiful architecture, centuries-old buildings, and narrow streets lined with real gas lights!

And of course, a visit to Boston would not be complete without a walk along the Freedom Trail. This simple brick line is paved with historical significance, taking visitors on an enriching journey through America’s past, including Massachusetts State House, Old State House, Granary Burying Ground, King’s Chapel, and Faneuil Hall.

Finally, foodies will love our stop at the Quincy Market, where we’ll browse local produce, fresh foods, sweet treats, and artisanal goods from hundreds of local shops. It is a feast for the senses – and the palate!

Don’t miss out on this amazing journey through one of the most intriguing historical cities in America.

It was a small group tour, the guide was very friendly and gave a lot of insightful information. The city was beautiful and a lot of history to know about. Could be a longer tour, this tour was quick and brief, mostly rush because of the time but nonetheless the tour was awesome. Recommended if u only have a short time span to spend in Boston.

We really enjoy all the information that Sebastian gave us! You can tell he loves his job, he is polite, funny and even offered to take pictures for us! All the places that we visit were awesome

Excelente Un tour muy recomendable. La guía, Mili, fue encantadora y muy profesional. Podéis ver los distintos distritos de Nueva York en una mañana. Las empanadas buenísimas!

7 Not-to-be-Missed Stops on a New York to Boston Road Trip

NYC to Boston road trip itinerary with cobblestone Boston street

Whether you live in NYC and need a getaway or you just want to plan a road trip, a New York to Boston road trip is a classic vacation. While you can make the trip in a day, don’t rush it but plan some stops to see cute towns, historic sights, and beautiful beaches along the way.

I’ve structured this trip to take a week or so, but you can easily turn this into a long weekend trip by cutting down on some of the stops. Some alternate itineraries are outlined below.

The Boston to New York route can get quite congested. In the summer, you can expect a lot of traffic from people traveling to or from the Cape, especially on the weekends. Interstate 95 through Connecticut is notorious for its traffic jams so be sure to check Waze or use Google or Apple Maps to check for the fastest routes. Sometimes using the Merritt Parkway through Southern Connecticut can save you some time. Some people may choose to jump on a Peter Pan bus , or take the train from Boston to NYC , but driving will let you stop along the way.

If you want to go further north, continue on with this Boston to Bar Harbor Maine coast road trip itinerary or extend your road trip even further with this East Coast road trip .

Where to Stop on your New York to Boston Road Trip

New York, NY

If you haven’t been to New York City , plan to spend a few days at the beginning or end of your road trip. If this is your first trip to NYC, pick one neighborhood, like the Theater District, Midtown East, Soho, or Lower Manhattan, and explore.

You can’t expect to see everything in one weekend but you are bound to find something for everyone from Broadway shows, world-class museums, walking tours, dining experiences, local food halls, or outdoor enjoyment in Central Park, Battery Park, the High Line, or walking across the Brooklyn Bridge.

Here are some fun ideas for things to do in NYC with kids .

Day 1: Essex, CT

Kick off your road trip to Boston with a drive along the Connecticut coast. You can complete this drive in two hours, but if you aren’t in a hurry, take your time with some stops along the way. Your destination is the quaint Connecticut town of Essex, in western Connecticut. However, you may want to make some stops along the way. The upscale waterfront town of Greenwich is a perfect spot for lunch or some upscale shopping.

However, if you have gotten an early start, skip over Greenwich and stop in Norwalk. In the summer you can hop on board a harbor cruise or take a boat ride into history and nature with a Sheffield Island lighthouse cruise. The SoNo historic district is packed with restaurants that are perfect for lunch.

Continue along to Essex, where you can make your home base for a couple of nights at the Griswold Inn , the oldest continuously operating inn in America. Dining in the historic taproom is a fun experience. Alternatively, you could stay in nearby Mystic .

There is so much to do in this area, especially with kids. Take a ride on the Essex Steam Train, enjoy a fall foliage cruise on the Connecticut River, visit the bizarre and historic Gillette Castle, explore local lighthouses on a harbor cruise from New London, and stroll along the Niantic Boardwalk.

Mystic CT Harbor

Day 3: Mystic, CT

On your next day, head over to nearby Mystic , Connecticut. You can spend the morning at the Mystic Aquarium and go back in time at the Historic Mystic Seaport. This is a great opportunity to learn about the fishing heritage in this area. You may want to stop for lunch at the popular Mystic Pizza, although I prefer the cool vibes of Engine Room. Nearby, wine aficionados will enjoy a tasting and picnic at Jonathan Edwards Winery in nearby Stonington, CT.

After exploring Mystic, cross the border into Rhode Island where you may want to pop into Watch Hill for a ride on the historic Flying Horses carousel. From there it is only an hour drive to Newport, Rhode Island.

There are many great hotel options in Newport, including the historic Hotel Viking or The Vanderbilt , although families may prefer the contemporary Newport Marriott (especially if you want to use points).

Marble House in Newport Rhode Island

Day 3: Newport, RI

Of course, there is so much to do in Newport , you can easily spend a long weekend. If this is your first visit, there are three things you have to do. First, visit one of the Newport Mansions, such as the famous Breakers. Next, either take a walk on the Cliff Walk or a scenic drive along Ocean Avenue.

Have lunch downtown at Diego’s or The Black Pearl before setting sail for an afternoon or evening sunset sailing cruise. If you have timed your visit with one of Providence ‘s famous Waterfire events , head 45 minutes north to Rhode Island’s Creative Capital for this unique experience.

There are plenty of great places to stay in Providence, but if you are going for something unique, stay at the Graduate Providence .

River in downtown Providence with gondola

Day 4: Providence, RI

It is nice to spend at least half a day in Providence before driving another hour or two to Cape Cod. In Providence, you can explore the amazing murals downtown, then walk along the river and over the pedestrian bridge for lunch at Plant City, the city’s only plant-based food hall.

If you have time, you may want to try a Rhode Island Red food tour to check out the city’s famous food scene or get the history of the city from the river with a tour from Providence River Boat Company.

Soon it is time to head east to Cape Cod. If you only have one night to spend on the Cape, you may want to stick to Falmouth at the Sea Crest Beach Hotel or Hyannis at the Cape Codder Resort . If you want to spend more time at the beach, venture a little further out to stay at the luxurious Wequasset Resort or Chatham Bars Inn .

Chapin's Beach on Cape Cod with a family under an umbrella

Day 5: Cape Cod, MA

On Cape Cod, you can spend the day biking the Cape Cod Rail Trail, exploring the National Seashore, and enjoying the Cape’s gorgeous beaches and sunsets. You may also enjoy a whale-watching cruise or a lobster bake on the beach with Art’s Dune Tours in Provincetown.

There are endless options to explore on the Cape, even in the off-season .

Plymouth Rock

Day 6: Plymouth, MA

Just 40 minutes up the coast from Cape Cod is a must-stop destination for United States history buffs . Plymouth is a fun seaside town to explore, just don’t have high expectations for Plymouth Rock. Kids will enjoy stepping onto the replica Mayflower II ship — returned to its home in Plymouth in 2020.

I would also highly recommend visiting the Pilmouth Pawtuxet Museums (formerly known as Plimouth Plantations.) The site consists of a 17th-century English village and a Wampanoag homesite.

You can stay overnight at the John Carver Inn , but it probably makes sense to continue 45 minutes further into your ultimate destination — Boston!

Make way for ducklings statue in Boston

Day 7: Boston, MA

There is so much to do in Boston you really want to give yourself a couple of days, but if you only have a day you can hit a few of the highlights. Start at the Boston Public Garden and Boston Common and strap on your walking shoes to explore the 2.5-mile Freedom Trail. There is a lot of history to absorb and for families, a great spot to do that is at the Boston Tea Party Museum and Ships.

Afterward, explore the waterfront, pop into the North End for a great Italian lunch and pastries, stroll down the Rose Kennedy Greenway, visit the Boston Public Market food hall, and explore the city center. If you don’t feel like doing all the walking, you can also hop on board an amphibious duck boat tour.

If you spend 3 days in Boston or more, you can also plan a day trip from Boston up to Salem or Gloucester . See also my guide for visiting Boston on a budget and find out things to do in Boston with kids .

Day 8: Return to New York City

On your trip back from Boston to NYC, you can return the way you came in a four-hour drive or extend your road trip by taking a different route back. If you are looking for an alternative, driving from Boston, you can take Interstate 90 / the Mass Pike West instead of heading back down 95.

An hour west of Boston you will come to Old Sturbridge Village, MA. This is the largest outdoor living history museum in New England, with buildings and interpreters representing life in rural New England between 1790 and 1830. From here, travel south on Interstate 84 to Hartford and continue on Interstate 91 to New Haven, CT, for approximately 1.25 hours in total.

If you are hungry, be sure to enjoy Frank Pepe’s famous pizza (there is also an outpost in Hartford.) If you need to stretch your legs, take a stroll through the Yale University campus. If traffic goes well, it is then less than two hours drive back to New York City.

Leave Worcester and follow the signs to I-90 east, which you will follow until just before Boston. Along this final stretch, you could take a detour to Assabet River Wildlife Refuge or Blue Hills Reservation.

The Coastal Route

Take Interstate 278 from New York, passing Pelham Bay Park before taking I-95 until you arrive at New Haven. En route to this first stop you will pass by Devil's Den Nature Preserve, which is definitely worth the extra drive should you have the time.

After spending time exploring New Haven, continue north on I-95 alongside the coast and passing Nehantic State Forest.

Next there's the option to head slightly inland to Providence, the capital city Rhode Island, before taking I-195 and Route-104 to Newport.

Another optional extra detour would be to take a ferry to Martha's Vineyard, where after you can rejoin I-195 and head towards Cape Cod. Which you will reach via Route-6 (also known as the Grand Army of the Republic Highway).

Leaving Cape Cod, you will be able to head towards the historic town of Plymouth in Massachusetts, along Route-3 and passing Myles Standish State Forest, before following MA-3 north through Braintree and finally to Boston.

A road trip from New York to Boston can be undertaken all year round, that said the weather in this part of the US does see extreme highs and lows so you will want to plan accordingly.

Typically summer is the most popular time to visit both New York and Boston. Daytime temperatures can reach highs of 80 degrees Fahrenheit by July, making summers here quite humid. The guaranteed sunshine also means that the cities are likely to be much busier.

In winter, both Boston and New York can see a lot of heavy snowfall. From December to mid-March, temperatures can be as low as 32 degrees, but there's the chance of cold spells, bringing it to a chilly 5 degrees or lower.

It was fun boarding a trip with people of various cultures and various ethnicity. Good to see our traveling person putting so much effort in order to provide us the quality traveling services. WE enjoyed the trip more than I ever anticipated. Amazing!

I recently booked this tour to go on with my two kids this summer. Prior to even booking this trip, I wanted to make sure what was covered. I went on the online chat option. I asked if the tour included the tickets to the 911 memorial museum. The person typed that they would look into it. They got back to me and responded YES, the tickets are included. I then reconfirmed what I was asking...." I'm not talking about the outside area for the public, but actually the museum that's inside". The person again responded YES, tickets are included. Feeling reassured, I booked it (which was another troubling event in itself). I received my e-tickets and noticed it said attraction tickets not included. I immediately got on the phone, was brought to the wrong people and shuffled around, and basically told that it's not their problem. I even emailed and received the typical "sorry but not sorry" explanation. Only thing they would do is refund me with no charges put on me. I rarely write reviews, but I do read them all the time and they have helped me in the past. I won't cancel because my kids are so excited. I'm just extremely disappointed at customer service and will never use this company again. So....be cautious and know what you're paying for and what extra you will be paying for because people tell you the wrong information and don't seem to care that they do. I came back from the tour. It was all good. Organized professionally.

It's pretty admirable the fact that our each and everything was right on time, including our departure from Boston and reach every destination on time. The tour was well managed but it could have been more wonderful. Thanks a lot, though.

One of the best tours i have taken. They will provide you with excellent service to the New York City . Although a little bit expensive however it was worth the expense. Will definitely book future tours with GoldenBusTours. Highly recommend to all of my friends.

This 2-Day Boston to New York City In-Depth Tour was enjoyable. Everything was very good. It would be perfect if toilet break can be kept within 90 minutes, instead of 2.5 hours. Customer service team is very helpful and they do their best to meet our needs.

We really had a great time, The tour guide did a great job. The tour was really organized the places we visited beautiful and interesting. I definitely will take another tour with this company. I wasn\'t sure about taking a bus tour at the beginning, this was my first bus tour, but I won\'t be the last I really enjoyed it. Thanks GoldenBusTours.

Very enjoyable tour. Tour Guide

The itinerary was perfect. We saw wonderful New York City at their best. We had a short schedule, but we made the best of it by choosing this tour. The guide was knowledgeable and helpful and always informed us about the various options available for meals as we were not a part of the meal plan.

Geoffrey Johnson

It was a very well organized tour. Accommodations were excellent. They could have added a few more spots on the way into the itinerary. It wouldn\'t have been too much deviation. But Everything went smoothly. The tour guide and driver were very good. I saw everything I wanted to see. The hotel was good, but the Palace Hotel we stayed in was excellent.

Get your best deal tour in June for New York City. All good and it is value for the money. The 2-Day Boston to New York City In-Depth Tour was spectacular. Our Tour Guide was knowledgeable, courteous, bi-lingual ( in Chinese and English) and flexible with the dates and times of visiting each itinerary item depending on the crowds, weather, etc. The Tour Bus Driver was also knowledgeable about the roads and knew how to navigate the large bus through various different roads, terrain, and weather conditions.

Taking the Train From Boston to NYC

F amilies living in Boston and the surrounding area are lucky to be so close to NYC. With world-class museums, delicious restaurants , amazing culture, and fantastic shopping, there’s so much to do in NYC with kids . Luckily, taking the train from Boston to NYC is easy, so you don’t even have to drive to visit for the day or longer.

Disclosure: I’ve had family members who have worked for Amtrak over the years. I’ve also received a complimentary trip on the Amtrak Downeaster . All opinions are my own.

Train from Boston to NYC

Like other US routes, the line from Boston to NYC (part of the Northeast Corridor) is serviced by Amtrak. When you book your tickets, you’ll find two different services traveling from Boston to New York.

The Northeast Regional Train

The Northeast Regional Train travels from Boston South Station to New York Penn Station. It makes stops on the way, including the following:

  • Boston South Station
  • Boston Back Bay
  • Route 128 (Westwood, MA)
  • Providence, RI
  • Kingston, RI
  • Westerly, RI
  • New London, CT
  • Old Saybrook, CT
  • New Haven, CT
  • Bridgeport, CT
  • Stamford, CT
  • New Rochelle, NY
  • New York Penn Station, NYC

Keep in mind that the schedules vary, so not all train routes will make all stops. The Northeast Regional stops in more locations and takes longer to arrive.

The Northeast Regional service is typically less expensive than the Acela service. Despite that, you’ll still have some nice perks. There are two different ticket classes on the Northeast Regional – business class and coach class. Business class guests will have an assigned seat.

The seats and legroom in coach are definitely more roomy than on a flight. You’ll be able to spread out a little more and will be more comfortable.

There are some seats that include a table with four seats around it. When the trains are busy, these are sometimes reserved for larger parties and families.

Seats have tray tables, complimentary WiFi, and power outlets. Note, however, that the WiFi can be spotty and streaming isn’t always possible.

Luggage storage is available in the overheads, and there is some room at the end of each train car for larger luggage. However, you won’t want to bring too much luggage on board.

There’s at least one bathroom in each car as well. These trains typically have a quiet car in coach.

There are also amenities on the train for you to enjoy. These include a cafe car, where you can purchase snacks, light meals, and beverages (including alcoholic beverages). There is seating located within the cafe car, or you’ll be able to bring your purchases back to your seat.

Amtrak Acela Express

The Amtrak Acela Express is North America’s only high-speed train service, although the higher speeds don’t happen on the Boston to New York City route. Because the train is faster, and the Acela Express makes fewer stops, it does offer a shorter travel time than the Northeast Regional.

The Acela travels from Boston to Washington DC. On the portion from Boston to NYC, the Acela stops at the following locations:

There are two classes of seats on the Acela Express. Business Class includes roomy seats, complimentary WiFi, footrests, large tray tables, and outlets at the seats. Some seats include a table and accommodate four people.

The Acela also offers first-class seating. When you have a first-class reservation, you’ll have some additional benefits. These benefits include complimentary food and beverage service, special lounges in several stations, and early boarding.

In my experience, the business class seating is nice and I haven’t found the need to purchase a first-class seat.

In 2024, Amtrak will be introducing new high-speed trains produced by Alstom. There are 28 trains on order, and these are expected to have a higher speed than the current Acela trains.

So, what’s best – Acela or Northeast Regional? The Acela Express is definitely a better experience and is a little bit quicker between the faster speeds and fewer stops.

However, it is more expensive. Depending upon your budget and schedule, it may be worth the cost savings to stick with the Northeast Regional train. We’ve been on both, and have enjoyed our experiences on both trains.

Boston and NYC Train Stations

Both the Acela Regional and the Northeast Regional stop at the three Boston-area stops and the one NYC stop.

Boston’s South Station

Trains from Boston to NYC originate at Boston’s South Station , which is located by the financial district right in the city. It’s a busy station (the busiest in Boston and the first of the Amtrak stops in Boston), with an adjacent (but not attached) bus station.

Amenities at the station include a waiting area, shops, restaurants (both kiosks and sit-down), complimentary WiFi, and luggage storage. Paid parking is available at the bus terminal, or there are also some nearby garages. There’s also a South Station subway system that is right there if you are taking the T into South Station.

Because the trains originate at South Station, you’ll have a little more time to board. Sit in the waiting area until the track is called, and then you can head to one of the cars and select your seat. If you are boarding at South Station, you’ll have your choice of seats (unless you have an assigned seat), even when the train is busy.

Back Bay Station

As the name would indicate, the Back Bay Station is located in the Back Bay neighborhood of Boston. It’s near Copley Plaza and Copley Square and is also home to a subway station.

WiFi isn’t offered at this station, but there is some seating. Food options are limited although there are vending machines. If you do have some time, there are loads of restaurants outside the station.

Paid parking is available. You may also be able to find parking at a nearby garage. Depending on where you are staying in Boston, you may even be able to walk, since the Back Bay area is so central.

The trains stop at this station but don’t originate there. So, you’ll want to be quick to make sure you get on the train during the short stop.

Route 128 Westwood Station

If you are coming from the southern or western Boston suburbs, the Route 128 station in Westwood Massachusetts is likely to be the most convenient. It’s located right off of 128 and right by Rt 95.

The Route 128 station has a nice-sized parking lot with plenty of reasonable parking. There’s a new Dunkin Donuts right in the station, and there’s plenty of comfortable seating.

Again, the trains just go through here, so you’ll want to go to the platform right when the announcement is made. Depending on how full the train is, you may have to walk through a few cars before finding several seats together if you don’t have assigned seating.

NYC Penn Station

Located right in NYC is NYC Penn Station. Unlike the NYC airports, Penn Station is right in the center of Manhattan (on the corner of 8th Avenue and West 31st Street), making it very convenient. See hotels near Penn Station NY .

Seating is fairly limited at Penn Station, but there are a lot of amenities including shops, restaurants, and take-out food locations. We typically buy food here to take on the train to eat.

Even if your train is stopping in NYC on the way to DC or Boston, it does stay at Penn Station for a few minutes to allow for boarding. You’ll need to wait in the main station and wait for the track announcement before heading down.

You are typically responsible for all of your luggage when flying. At the major stations, including Penn Station and South Station, there are Red Caps who can assist you. Note that the Red Caps works exclusively for tips, so be sure to have some dollars readily available.

Train Time Versus Flight Times

Are you wondering whether it’s better to take the train or fly? While the actual flying time can be much quicker than the train, that’s not the only factor. Sometimes, traveling by train actually be faster.

When you fly, you have to arrive early so that you can go through security. That’s not the case for the train. In addition, the airports are outside of the downtown area, so you’ll have to travel to and from them. The train stations are located right downtown.

You’ll also want to compare prices. Train fare can often be as expensive or even more expensive than flying. See more ways to get from Boston to NYC here .

‘Dexter’ Star Michael C. Hall Lists His Elegant NYC Apartment for Almost $4M

Michael C. Hall , best known for his role in the long-running crime series “Dexter,” has listed his beautiful co-op in Manhattan for $3,750,000.

That’s less than the star paid for the place in 2017, when he handed over $4.3 million.

The charming prewar dwelling is in a historic building on the West Side, very close to iconic Central Park.

With three bedrooms, three baths, and 2,200 square feet, this classic New York City apartment boasts restored details from the 1930s—with modern touches, too.

Gracious living

Billed as “pristine” and in “triple mint condition,” this grand art deco masterpiece was designed by the famous architect Emery Roth and is the epitome of gracious New York City living. A huge entryway, a 27-foot living room, high ceilings, and a fireplace with a hand-carved mantel are just some of the charming details in this refurbished gem.

French doors lead to a library or den, and there’s a large formal dining room and a windowed eat-in kitchen. The cook space offers quartz counters, custom cabinetry, and luxe appliances by Miele and BlueStar. The primary bedroom is also quite big and features two closets (one is a walk-in) and a bathroom with Italian marble and a glass-box shower.

Recent renovations offer upgrades to much of this abode, including the double-glazed casement windows; new AC units built into the wall; restored-oak, herringbone floors; and a laundry closet. Like many fancy co-ops, this building has all the expected amenities, such as a full-time staff of door attendants, an on-site manager, plus access to a fitness club, playroom, bike room, and even a half basketball court for pick-up games.

Hall has appeared in other popular TV series such as “Six Feet Under” and “The Crown.” In addition to his acting career, he’s an accomplished singer, performing with band Princess Goes since 2018. In 2021, the Golden Globe winner reprised his role as Dexter Morgan for the miniseries “Dexter: New Blood.”

NBA playoffs bracket, scores, schedule, results: Celtics eliminate Heat, advance to second round

Four first-round series are done, while four more will be decided in the coming days.

play-in-1.png

The 2024 NBA playoffs are in full swing, and the Boston Celtics  became the fourth team to punch their ticket to the second round on Wednesday night. The Celtics eliminated the Heat , blowing out Miami in Game 5 for a 4-1 series victory. The top-seeded Celtics are moving on and will face either the Cavaliers or Magic in the second round. The Timberwolves , Nuggets and Thunder are all moving on in the West. Minnesota and Oklahoma City swept the Suns and Pelicans , respectively, while Denver took out the Lakers in five games.

That leaves four first-round series remaining -- Knicks vs. 76ers , Bucks vs. Pacers , Cavaliers vs. Magic and Clippers vs. Mavericks -- and all are at least going to six games. The Mavericks blew out the Clippers (who were playing without Kawhi Leonard ) in Wednesday's Game 5, and they can close out the series at home on Friday.

The Knicks and Pacers both missed chances to finish off the 76ers and Bucks on Tuesday in Game 5, but they'll get another chance on Thursday night. The Cavs, meanwhile, can oust the Magic on Friday if they can get a road win in Orlando.

Here's a look at the upcoming schedule, as well as all the playoff scores. All games airing on ABC, ESPN and NBA TV are streaming on  fubo  (try for free).

Wednesday's playoff games

  • Game 5: Celtics 118, Heat 84 -- Boston wins 4-1
  • Game 5: Mavericks 123, Clippers 93 -- Mavs lead 3-2
