Top 3 of all apps. All time. Ever.

Since I started using this app, I have travelled 1,482,337 miles. I LOVE this app. I travel a lot for work (and holidays) and being able to email my booking confirmations, private and work and have them all in one place is fantastic. It changed my travel routine. Rather then show up with a folder of different printed confirmations, it’s all laid out in one place. My wife and I share our itineraries and it’s great for family trips where we book different parts. Its like I have a brilliant assistant with programming knowledge. Just bring a battery pack for your phone after a long flight :-) I try hundreds of apps each year but after many years using this app it is still the most useful thing on my phone after the calendar and mail app. Seriously, I have emailed booking confirmations as PDF’s, word docs, email etc from some really funky airlines and it’s rarely missed a beat. My only suggestion to the developers to improve on perfection might be to tie in with one of the flight map apps so I can see on the plane which country I am flying over. Those guys have nothing like the capability you do, so a tie in could be cool. Thanks again for all the travel hassle you guys saved!

Favorite App

I travel often both for business and with my big family. This has been a game changer. Not to have to print out anything and have everything in order with added details on telephone numbers, weather, directions links. besides the ease of just forwarding play tickets, car rentals, hotel and flights, it takes a cruise itinerary and put some in the correct day saying where you’re going and when you get off to the ports and when you have to be back on the ship etc. So excellent. A side benefit I found now that I’ve been using it for 10 years is I have a whole travel journal right here in the app. Can look up previous hotels, miscellaneous companies used for transportation and whatever. Request for the developers: when I have a listing of flights etc. (particularly for more than one person), the apps at-a-glance screen does not have the name listed. So you have to go into that plan and scroll down and Click under passengers and in that page it’ll show you who the reservation is for. It would be much more convenient to have the name on the first or second line for a quick reference.

I adore TripIt - Sharing Trips with others needs work

I adore TripIt — I’ve been using it In some form or another since way back in 2008 - yikes I’m old! It really is effective in getting itinerary into one app and then integration into my device’s calendar is also great! I really like the auto import via a gmail account (usually the app has been focused on flying but I’m thrilled that the train itineraries are a bit better - especially Amtrak) I will say one area that really needs to be streamlined is sharing plans with non-TripIt users. In the app there are a few options, all of them not great. In the app, sharing a plan results in a mumbojumbo of unformatted texts, the iMessage feature doesn’t seem to be accessible to non TripIt users although they can see the thumbnail. I know inner circle can see plans but I think there needs to be a more streamlined process. What I do when sharing plans as a work around? I simply screenshot and message. Perhaps that’s all that needed in a future update! Anyway like the product some areas could’ve streamlined but this is definitely one of top three apps I use for travel!

Edit trip itinerary on our website

Modified on Fri, 25 Aug 2023 at 06:48 AM

We've redesigned our web experience. You may still have the option to access your account from our legacy site so we've included instructions for both.

Edit a trip's high-level details (trip dates, destination, trip image, trip name, etc.)

New web experience :

  • From the Trips page , click 'Edit Trip Info' located to the bottom left of the trip you want to update.
  • Make your updates then click 'Save'.

Legacy site:

  • From the Trips page , click on the trip you want to update.
  • Click Options (gear icon) then select 'Edit Trip'.

Please note: The 'Destination City' box must be city specific and draws from our database while the 'Trip Name' box allows you to enter any text you wish.

Edit a trip plan

New web experience:

  • Click 'Edit Plan' located to the right of the plan you wish to edit.
  • Make your changes, then click 'Save'.

To add or edit additional details such as a traveler name, total cost or a note:

  • Click 'Edit' next to the plan you wish to edit.

Delete a trip plan

  • Click on the plan (in blue text).
  • Click 'More Options' (top right).
  • Select 'Delete Plan'.

trip it photos

  • Click 'Delete' next to the plan you want to remove.

Add a trip plan

Click 'Add a Plan' to add manually add a flight, lodging, car rental, rail, cruise, ground and ferry transportation, restaurant, activity, meeting, map, directions, and note items. When making a manual entry, the key to placing the correct timezone is to make sure the 'Address' field is filled in with at a minimum, a city and country.

  • For security purposes, our site does sign out after approximately 20 minutes. To avoid this you just need to make incremental saves as you go along. Every time you save an update, the time out clock starts again.
  • Some ad-blockers, add-ons, and extensions have been found to disrupt some TripIt editing features on Web browsers.  Many of these products allow you to add a site to an allow list if you wish.  Please also refer to the Cookies, Analytics, and Tracking section of our Privacy Policy.

TripIt Review: A Worthwhile Travel Planning Tool or an Outdated Resource?

September 28, 2021 6 min read

trip it photos

Keeping all information relating to a trip organized and in one place can be stressful. That’s why finding a great travel planning app is so important.

TripIt is one option on the market. It claims to organize all travel details, such as flight information and hotel reservations, in one place. You can also receive notifications relating to your travel bookings.

But is TripIt really the best option out there? This TripIt review intends to offer an overview of how to use TripIt and its pros and cons to ultimately answer the question: Is TripIt worth it?

trip it photos

What is TripIt?

TripIt is a travel planning app that generates itineraries and keeps all details relating to your trip in one place. As opposed to apps that make travel suggestions, like Wanderlog , TripIt simply consolidates all of your already planned trip information in one place. Things you can add include transport, accommodation, and activity details.

TripIt intends to take care of your travel details to lower stress and worry when traveling and improve organization. You can use TripIt online, or there’s a convenient TripIt mobile app for iPhone, iPad, and Android.

This app has been touted as a good choice for those that have their travel plans set. However, TripIt is not the place to find vacation inspiration.

Despite some drawbacks, the company has caught the eye of many publications and has been featured by The New York Times , NBC , Forbes , Travel+Leisure , and more.

Is TripIt Free?

If TripIt sounds like something that would interest you, you may be wondering: “Is TripIt free?” Conveniently, the basic plan is free. However, this plan offers limited features (discussed below.)

How Much is TripIt Pro?

TripIt Pro is a paid subscription option offered by TripIt that provides more features and benefits than their basic plan. TripIt Pro costs $49 a year, and you can try it free for 30 days.

TripIt for Teams

TripIt also has a third membership option, TripIt for Teams. This option helps plan travel for business and other “team” type situations.

It keeps all team member’s itineraries in one place and can make different itineraries for different travelers on the trip. The team can then access a travel calendar with everyone’s schedule on it.

TripIt for Teams costs $29/month for 1-10 users, $49/month for 11-25 users, $89/month for 26-50 users, and $159/month for 51-100 users.

TripIt vs. TripIt Pro

So, how exactly do you compare TripIt Pro vs. TripIt basic?

When comparing the two for this TripIt review, we found that TripIt Pro offers more updates on your trip and a few extra features.

Extra features you’ll be provided with when using TripIt Pro vs. TripIt basic include:

  • Seat upgrade information
  • Check-in reminders
  • Fare trackers
  • Reward program points tracker
  • Flight updates
  • Security wait time updates
  • Information on finding connecting flights
  • Baggage claim location
  • Gate information and updates
  • Interactive maps
  • Estimates of the best time to leave for your trip (for example, when to leave home to catch your flight) and estimated travel times
  • Ability to send travel plans to friends and family
  • Ability to add documents and files to your itinerary, like PDFs or photos

trip it photos

How to Cancel TripIt Pro

If you purchase TripIt Pro and don’t like the upgrade, it’s easy to cancel. To cancel TripIt Pro:

  • Sign in to your account
  • Click your user name, then “Settings”, then “Billing Information”
  • Press “Cancel TripIt Pro.”

When looking into cancellation for this TripIt review, we discovered that you can’t get a refund on your annual fee. If you want to cancel, auto-renewal will be disabled, but you must finish the year-long subscription.

If you want to cancel the TripIt Pro free trial before you get charged the annual fee, follow the same steps as above.

How Does TripIt Work?

  • Download TripIt for Android, iPhone, or iPad, or visit tripit.com.
  • Sign up for an account and decide if you’ll upgrade to TripIt Pro.
  • Select “Start Itinerary.”
  • Add your destination city, travel start and end dates, a trip name, and a description (if you like.) Then click “Add Trip.”
  • You can then manually add to your itinerary or email information to be added.

Information you can add includes:

  • Hotel and other accommodation reservations
  • Flight bookings
  • Car rentals
  • Restaurant bookings
  • Meetings

TripIt also shows predicted weather conditions during your trip to help plan activities and what to pack. Additionally, TripIt is currently offering Covid-19 travel guidance. You can see the carbon footprint of the trip along with ways to offset emissions too.

How do I email an itinerary to Tripit?

To email travel information to TripIt, forward all travel plan confirmation emails from your email to [email protected]

You can also agree to let TripIt scan your email and add travel plans relating to your trip as you receive email confirmations. If doing this, make sure the email account you create your TripIt account with is the one you use for travel confirmation emails.

trip it photos

How to add itinerary to TripIt

Once in your trip itinerary, click “Add Plan,” and you can choose a range of things to add under the subheadings “Transportation,” “Activities,” and “Other.”

What are the Benefits of Tripit?

Easy to Add Transport, Accommodation, and Activity Details

When testing the app for this TripIt review, we found that adding information to your trip itinerary was very easy. The process of manually adding transport, accommodation, and activities, and forwarding confirmation emails is straightforward and low hassle.

Allowing TripIt to scan your email makes the process even simpler as they will automatically add things relating to your trip to your itinerary as you receive confirmation emails.

Once your itinerary is created, it’s also very easy to understand.

Automatic Reminders and Updates

If you opt for TripIt Pro, you’ll receive updates and reminders about your trip. These updates make staying on top of what is going on simple. These notifications include suggestions as to when you should leave to reach a location on time, transport updates, and much more.

Can Use via Mobile Device or Online

You can conveniently access TripIt both via web browser and an app for mobile devices. Having a mobile app is especially handy as travelers can check their itinerary on the go.

Does TripIt Have Any Drawbacks?

Too many notifications and emails.

TripIt sends a lot of emails and notifications, especially if you use TripIt Pro. They send travel updates for almost any activity relating to your travel, many of which you don’t need to know. They also often provide the same updates multiple times.

This issue results in user inboxes becoming full and can mean they miss other important emails. You can turn off email and other notifications. However, you won’t get notified of significant updates, which is one of the purposes of the app.

Alerts Can Be Incorrect

When looking at customer feedback for this TripIt review, we found that some negative reviewers of TripIt mention that incorrect alerts relating to their travel plans were given. In some cases, users have even missed their flights because of this! If you choose to use TripIt Pro, always double-check the alerts before acting on them.

Imported Trip Details Can Be Incorrect

Users have also said that automatically added trip information has been imported incorrectly. For example, confirmations not related to the trip have been added along with duplicates.

TripIt Pro is Expensive

More and more travel planning software is offering all premium features for free. Therefore, paying $49 a year to access TripIt Pro is quite expensive. For example, Wanderlog offers a host of benefits, including itinerary creation and activity suggestions, at no cost.

Comparable to Google Docs and Sheets

Some say that as TripIt offers basic features, it’s comparable to simply adding your travel info to a Google Doc, Sheet, or other similar document.

Slightly Boring and Outdated Website

TripIt’s website, and to some extent the app, is relatively outdated and features a basic design. In addition, some of the website pages don’t load properly or don’t redirect as they should.

This dated user interface ultimately affects usability, and there are many alternatives to TripIt with more functional (and fun) websites and apps.

Does Not Suggest Places to Visit During Your Trip

TripIt is simply a place to store information relating to your trip that you have already planned. TripIt doesn’t give any suggestions on where to stay, what transport route to take, or what activities to do at your destination.

This is a big disadvantage as many alternatives to TripIt do offer suggestions. For example, Wanderlog allows you to create travel itineraries with information you already have planned. But we also offer lots of suggestions to make your trip even better. If you like any of our activity suggestions, you can easily add them to your itinerary.

This TripIt flaw could occur because the software was originally intended more for business travel than for vacation travel.

Is TripIt Worth It?

Having used the software for this TripIt review, we would say that there are benefits to using TripIt. However, there are better options on the market. For example, other travel planning apps , like Wanderlog, offer suggestions on accommodation and activities in your destination.

Despite this, those that have used TripIt seem to be satisfied. The company receives 4.1/5 Stars based on 220+ Facebook reviews.

Positive reviewers like:

  • The convenience of the app
  • How all their travel info is in one place
  • The fact that alerts and updates are offered, for example, updates on flight information

One particularly happy user says, “ My [favorite] app! Especially love how the pro version keeps me updated on flight changes including gate updates and delays. Easy to forward. Easy to forward emails from travel Booking confirmations to create your plans. Seeing all my planned trips [on] one screen is what keeps me sane every day when I’m dreaming about my next holiday!”

On the other hand, negative reviewers mention:

  • Trip details not getting imported correctly
  • Notifications, especially relating to flights, being incorrect
  • Receiving too many emails and notifications, many of which say the same thing

Another question many people have when considering using TripIt is: “Is TripIt Pro worth it?” If set on using TripIt, the Pro version is a good choice for those that travel a lot.

However, the only real added benefit is alerts and updates relating to travel plans. For the most part, you can set those up directly for most things. For example, many airlines will text or email with flight updates.  As mentioned, there are also many free alternatives to TripIt Pro (like Wanderlog) So, paying $49 a year isn’t necessary. In fact, with Wanderlog, you have access to all the features offered by TripIt. Plus, you can access activity suggestions and benefit from our more modern and user-friendly interface, all at no cost. Sounds good? Start using the Wanderlog travel planner today!

Let’s start the review of TripIt with what exactly are they.

TripIt travel planner app logo.

What is TripIt?

TripIt is a travel planning app that is designed to create itineraries by integrating all your travel details in one place. It helps travelers organize, manage, and track itineraries in a hassle-free manner. But if you know already, there are other travel apps out there offering similar services.

So, how does the TripIt app stand out from the crowd?

As a travel planner, TripIt does a bit more than allow you to create itineraries for your favorite destinations. It makes sure you get to your destination on time and enjoy your tour by avoiding obstacles and making use of opportunities on your way. All and other additional useful features, with a pricey premium subscription, unfortunately.

Is the TripIt app worth your time, and should you upgrade to a TripIt pro if you’re an avid traveler? Let’s find out how and if TripIt is worth it!

Is TripIt free?

The short answer is "it depends".

There are 4 different plans for TripIt depending on your needs. The basic plan is free to use but offers a limited-service of additional features that can benefit frequent travelers. So, how much does TripIt Pro cost?

TripIt Pro costs $49 annually, with per-user license plans for TripIt for teams and up. Below’s a rundown of TripIt’s subscription plans and the features that they offer.

travel-planning.jpg

TripIt for Travel Management Companies:

The specialized version is geared towards travel management companies (TMCs). If you are traveling with one of their partners, you’ll be able to access and change your plans through the TripIt app anytime on any device! You can also access your TMC contact information on the app and contact them for any questions.

  • Detailed maps of airports

TripIt-app.png

How Does TripIt Work?

Once a user creates an account on TripIt, it will form itineraries based on confirmation emails regarding flights, accommodation, and other bookings. These details can be gathered automatically by the app from the inbox or manually forwarded to TripIt’s email address by the user. Once done, you can share it with other people, edit it, or sync it with your calendar.

In order to view your trips, others need to have a TripIt account as well. You can sign up for a 30-day free trial to use Tripit Pro, but you still have to enter your credit card details.

How to send your itinerary to TripIt?

The first step to generating your itinerary from TripIt is to forward all of your bookings to their system. This step is super simple! After booking your flight, hotel, rental, or other tickets and reservations, forward the confirmation email to [email protected] . They will instantly generate or add the reservation or ticket into your own master itinerary.

You can also set up their auto-import email services so that they’ll be able to automatically scan through your emails for any reservation or tickets and add them to your itinerary! Find this feature on the home page of your TripIt app.

How to cancel your TripIt Pro Subscription?

Say you’ve upgraded your TripIt to their TripIt Pro Subscription and are not impressed with the features that come with your subscription. It’s super easy to modify or cancel your subscription. Here are the steps

  • Make sure you’re signed in to your account
  • Click on your username.
  • Go to “Settings”, then “Billing Information”

In this section, you’ll be able to modify your billing information as well as cancel your current subscription to TripIt Pro. TripIt will not offer you a refund of your annual fee, so make sure you cancel your subscription or turn off auto-renewal before the renewal date!

If you’re on the TripIt Pro free trial and would not like to get charged the annual fee, make sure you follow the steps above to cancel your subscription before your free trial ends.

TripIt-features.jpg

Is TripIt Pro worth it?

If you’re a frequent traveler and would like to have the added benefit of real-time alerts and updates to your travel plans, it’s definitely worth it!

However, for 49$ a year, the features that come with TripIt Pro subscription does not seem worth it to us. For example, we’ve found that many of the alerts that TripIt sends out are a mere duplicate of alerts airlines sent to travelers. These TripIt alerts can also sometimes be inaccurate, which may lead to frustrations.

There are other alternatives out there that offer more document uploads, group planning, trip updates, and organized itineraries, such as our Pilot travel planning app!

Here's a rundown of all the pros and cons of TripIt in detail.

What We Like About TripIt

Automation .

With the auto-import feature, you have to invest little to no effort to create an itinerary because TripIt will handle most of it. This is an impressive feature for busy professionals who don’t have time to sort emails and send them to TripIt manually.

Convenience

We think TripIt does a great job in bringing all vital details regarding your trip into one place. You don’t have to go through the hassle of rummaging your bag to find out reservation receipts or scour through emails to retrieve flight information as everything is there in the app.

Useful Features

TripIt walks an extra mile in certain aspects. Its features like neighborhood safety score help you stay clear of shady areas or be more vigilant when you are touring in cities like Mexico. It also tracks your flights’ carbon footprint and suggests ways to offset them, which is awesome.

Prompt Alerts

For TripIt premium users, the app is really useful when it comes to receiving real-time notifications on flight delays, cancellations, and gate changes – sometimes, even before the airlines! It even alarms users when the departure time is close, so you won’t miss the flight.

Ability to Plan Trips in Groups

You can invite your friends and family members to join TripIt and plan your travel journeys together. Users can share their itineraries with others and grant access to contribute or edit details. It also makes it easy to share important trip-related details with multiple people.

travel-plans-beach-destination.jpg

Why TripIt is Outdated

Premium version is expensive.

If you are not a frequent traveler, the TripIt premium version may not be a cost-effective option because the free version is equipped with most of the essential features of a trip planner. In comparison, most more modern travel planning tools, such as Pilot, are a free service.

Too Many (Annoying) Emails

Some users have complained TripIt spamming the inbox with excessive and unnecessary emails about every single update. It can be annoying as the whole purpose of using a travel app is to minimize clutter. But, you can manage it by changing the settings via the desktop app. TripIt is owned by SAP, a large and old company that isn't exactly known for being "customer-centric."

It isn't "fun"

TripIt was built for business travel, not vacation travel, meaning it lacks a lot of features that would have you replacing Google Docs, Spreadsheets, etc. You're frankly still better off using those tools than TripIt in its current iteration (that's why we built Pilot). It can be useful, but there's little delight or fun in using the tool, since it wasn't built for that.

That's fine if that's what you're looking for, but we believe that travel planning should be a fun experience given the anticipation for your trip!

Issues with Auto-Import

Although the app works well most of the time, users have encountered some issues where the app has failed to import confirmation details automatically, especially if it’s a small hotel or rental service. In this case, you have to enter the details manually.

Dull and Dated Web Interface

Compared to the mobile version, the web app is particularly outdated. It can certainly shine better with a good upgrade. It can be useful, but it's certainly not "cool". This unfortunately also results in a subpar user experience compared to more modern apps.

Inaccurate Alerts (sometimes)

There tends to be rare inaccuracies related to flight delay alerts and information related to alternative flights. But, this is a small percentage of users. As a rule of thumb, it’s always better to double-check with the airlines regarding these matters – so you won’t miss a flight.

traveling-with-friends.jpg

Is TripIt Worth it?

Now for the final question, is TripIt actually any good, and if so, should you pay for their pro subscriptions?

TripIt is a great app if your main concern is having all travel confirmation and reservation details organized in one place, especially with regards to flights.

But, if you are looking for a more modern trip planner that focuses on the “experiences” of your trips like where to go, what to see, and do, then you need a better option. Besides, the antiquated look doesn't really match the excitement of traveling!

I certainly think there are better free options to use than TripIt, so for that instance, We believe that you should not sign up for its pro version unless you're a frequent or business traveler looking for a way to stay organized.

Our Rating: 3.8/5

6 Passenger Jets With Incredibly Long Range

Airbus at terminal

Long range air travel has generally made life a lot easier for everyone across the planet. No longer do you have to make multiple stops to a faraway destination, prolonging the oftentimes stressful time at airports. To allow for longer and longer flights, aircraft manufacturers and engineers are constantly innovating to make airliners more and more efficient, reducing the amount of fuel used as it's one of the more limiting factors at play. Unlike military aircraft, a passenger jet carrying people on vacation can't rely on something like a KC-135 Stratotanker to refuel . It has to make the whole trip without stopping.

Passenger jets are getting more and more efficient by the year and even smaller passenger jets like the Airbus A321 XLR have a range of up to 4,700 nautical miles (5,408 miles) before needing to refuel. Going up the ladder of efficiency, there are several more passenger jets with much longer ranges. Even some private jets are capable of extremely long hauls.

Airbus A350-900ULR

The undisputed king of distance is the Airbus A350-900 ULR, with a range of 9,700 nautical miles (11,162 miles), meaning that it can travel to most destinations in the world on a single fill up. It's capable of more than 20 hours of non-stop flying, according to Airbus. It is, as of April 2024, the longest range commercial aircraft bar none. As the name suggests, it is able to carry up to 350 passengers in a normal configuration. However, it can reportedly be outfitted to carry 440 passengers, although the extra weight of 90 extra passengers and luggage would likely have a detriment on range.

It's powered by a pair of ultra-efficient Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines that were designed with the A350 in mind, allowing for a more cohesive design to benefit fuel economy. For fuel capacity, it's capable of carrying 43,981 gallons to take it the distance.

Airbus A350-1000

The second-longest range passenger aircraft in service today is also a variant of the Airbus A350, the A350-1000. It can go 8,700 nautical miles (10,011 miles) without needing to refuel, giving it incredible capability over other aircraft when it comes to long-haul flights. Like the A350-900 ULR, it carries around 350 passengers in a normal seating arrangement. It also utilizes the same Rolls-Royce engines.

However, the A350-1000 differs from the A350-900 ULR in that it's much longer, measuring at just over 242 feet long, compared to the A350-900 ULR's 219 feet length. With the extra length, 410 passengers can safely ride in the jet. It also weighs considerably more. The A350-1000 also carries less fuel when fully loaded, at a total of 43,324. Still, over 10,000 miles of range is nothing to sneeze at. The A350-1000 only loses out because it's carrying more weight with less fuel for the journey.

Boeing 777-200LR

Boeing's answer for long-range jets is the Boeing 777-200LR that ranks in at 8,555 nautical miles (9,844 miles). It's powered by two huge General Electric GE90 series engines that each generate 115,300 pounds of thrust, giving it insane levels of power. In its standard configuration, it is able to carry 317 passengers in relative luxury to a fast majority of airports around the world with minimal interruptions.

Compared to other aircraft on this list, it's not a particularly large plane, measuring in at 209 feet, one inch long and a wingspan that measures in at 212 feet, seven inches. Even though it misses out to the two Airbus A350 variants that top the list, and the fact that Boeing has had taken a beating in headlines as of late, it's still one of the most advanced aircraft flying today, with thousands upon thousands of miles of incident-free flight.

Bombardier Global 8000

If you were to just list the longest range commercial aircraft in use today, the top of the list would be entirely populated with different variations of the Airbus A350 and Boeing 777. However, that does not give a complete picture of what aerospace companies are developing when it comes to truly globally reaching jets. Bombardier, a company typically associated with regional jets from smaller airports or defense and private applications, produces the Global series of jets.

The Global 8000 has an advertised range of 8,000 nautical miles (9,206 miles). It also boasts one of the highest top speeds in its particular corner of the market at 0.94 Mach (721 miles per hour at sea level). It's powered by a pair of General Electric Passport engines.

Unlike many other aircraft on this list, the Global 8000 can't carry hundreds of passengers. It's rated for only 19 people at maximum capacity, but when you have a business meeting on the other side of the world, and you need to get there as quick as possible, the Global 8000 is ready for the job.

Gulfstream G800

Gulfstream definitely leans more towards the private end of the aviation industry. Yet despite its prevalence in pop culture, Gulfstream makes serious jets. Still in the very late prototype stage is the Gulfstream G800, which, like the Bombardier, is capable of an 8,000 nautical mile (9,206 mile) range. That means you can fly from New York City to Tokyo, Japan on a single trip. It's slightly slower than the Bombardier Global 8000 with a maximum speed of 0.925 Mach (709 miles per hour at sea level). Gulfstream's bread and butter is extremely high-end planes with impossibly luxurious cabins. The G800 can carry up to 19 passengers and sleep up to 10, according to Gulfstream's site. It's a multi-million dollar RV that can fly at over 700 miles per hour.

The G800 is powered by two Gulfstream Pearl engines that each output 18,250 pounds of thrust. It has an advertised interior cabin volume of 2,138 cubic feet, which is roughly 21 times that of a 2024 Subaru Outback.

Dassault Falcon 8X

Rounding out the list is the Dassault Falcon 8X with a range of 6,450 nautical miles (7,422 miles). It's notably less than extremely high-end competitors, but still leaps and bounds better than most passenger jets. Taylor Swift has been known to fly in a Dassault Falcon 7X. It has a maximum cruising altitude of 51,000 feet and can carry between 12 and 16 passengers. Unlike the other aircraft on this list, the Dassault Falcon 8X is powered by three engines instead of two. Each Pratt and Whitney Canada PW307D engine outputs 6,722 pounds of thrust.

The fact that the Falcon 8X is significantly less powerful than the jets from Gulfstream and Bombardier, yet can still exceed 7,000 miles of range, speaks to Dassault's emphasis on efficiency. Dassault also prides itself on the Honeywell developed avionics and flight control system used by the Falcon 8X. Reportedly, it was developed from the flight control system used by another Dassault aircraft aviation fans may be familiar with, the Rafale fighter jet.

"Big Nude Boat" offers a trip to "bare-adise" on a naked cruise from Florida

By Li Cohen

Updated on: May 2, 2024 / 8:20 AM EDT / CBS News

Like to travel light? One cruise ship soon to set sail from Florida is making sure all you need is the bare necessities – no shoes, no clothes but plenty of service.

" The Big Nude Boat " will take travelers from Miami to the Caribbean on "an 11-day adventure back to Bare-adise," the website says. Setting sail from Feb. 3 through Valentine's Day 2025, the trip offers a "stress-free, clothes-free experience" during which up to 2,300 passengers can roam the ship in the nude while out at sea.

"It's our pleasure to provide you with the luxury of deciding what NOT to wear," Bare Necessities Tour and Travel says.

@cbsmornings Would you dare to set sail on a nude cruise? 🚢 Cruisebare's upcoming full-ship nude cruise, departing from Miami in February next year, is making waves. Even #TonyDokoupil is down to go. 🌊 #cruises #vacation #experience #miami #sail ♬ original sound - CBS Mornings

Passengers won't be allowed to be naked when the ship is docked, but can ditch their usual attire once they are anchored or out on the water. And when clothing is optional, standard nudist etiquette must be abided by, the website says. When sitting, nude passengers must either wear a thong or sit on a towel or some kind of fabric. And while the self-serve buffet on the pool deck is a clothes-free area, passengers must be dressed for all dining room meals – and no, bathrobes don't count.

Photos and videos will also not be permitted unless all individuals being documented give consent.

"The Big Nude Boat" is just one of the cruises offered by Bare Necessities, which says on its website that the company has been "working to break down the barriers against social nudity and make clothing-optional vacationing a viable and acceptable option for all."

"Social nudity is not a sexual activity, and we strive to dispel the misconception that it is anything but natural and beautiful," the company says. "We have made strides in the acceptance of nude vacationing and our wide range of cruise charters are a testament to our success."

Will Taylor Swift attend the 2024 Kentucky Derby? Travis Kelce spotted arriving

trip it photos

Super Bowl Champion Travis Kelce is officially in Louisville for the 150th Kentucky Derby — but there's no word yet on whether global superstar girlfriend Taylor Swift will join him.

Former NBA player Chandler Parsons hinted at Kelce's appearance during a Friday interview on the Up & Adams Show. And around 1 a.m. Saturday, Kelce was spotted at Sports Illustrated's Revel at the Races party, minus Swift.

As of about 1:20 p.m. Saturday, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end was seen arriving at Churchill Downs, wearing a lightly-striped white suit, navy floral tie and coordinating navy hat, complete with a feather. In a post on X, formerly Twitter , a photo shows Kelce amid a sea of attendees.

There has been speculation for months over whether the "Shake It Off" singer and her boyfriend would saddle up and attend the "Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports."

It's no secret this A-list super couple doesn't shy away from having a good time so why not a trip to Churchill Downs for the annual "Run for the Roses?"

When it comes to having a good time, Kelce and Swift are all in. Since her Eras Tour went on hiatus and the NFL is in the off-season, the couple are taking a much-deserved break from their work and have enjoyed a vacation to the Bahamas, time spent in Swift's Los Angeles mansion, and a pop-in at Coachella .

Most recently, the power couple was spotted in a Las Vegas nightclub with Kelce's teammate Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany, during a weekend golf fundraiser for Mahomes' foundation. A gift of four tickets to Swift's massively profitable Eras Tour raised $80,000 for 15 and the Mahomes Foundation , which supports improving the lives of children.

In 2023, Patrick and Brittany Mahomes were guests of Patricia Barnstable Brown at her illustrious Kentucky Derby Eve Gala. The following afternoon on Saturday, Mahomes announced "Riders Up" on the NBC Sports broadcast moments before the start of the 149th Kentucky Derby. It's possible the Mahomes passed along how much fun he had on Kentucky Derby weekend in Louisville and inspired his friends to book a trip.

It's worth noting that the 2024 Met Gala is scheduled for Monday, May 6 , and Swift has her next international Eras Tour performance in Paris on May 9.

So, will we see the power couple together? Who's to say. Happy Derby!

Putin cut out deer’s heart and gave it to Silvio Berlusconi on hunting trip

Vladimir Putin presented the heart he had freshly cut out of a deer to Silvio Berlusconi on a macho hunting trip, it has been revealed.

The Russian President handed the bizarre gift to the late Italian leader on a joint holiday at one of his dachas in 2013, said Fabrizio Cicchitto, a former senator from Berlusconi’s Forza Italia party.

“Vladimir showed me a violent nature that I didn’t imagine in such a kind and rational man,” Cicchitto recalled Berlusconi saying after returning from Russia.

On the trip into the woods, Putin spotted two deer, and urged Berlusconi to take aim. He reportedly said: “That’s yours. Shoot.” But when the Italian refused, Putin took aim and killed both before giving Berlusconi a satisfied look.

The Russian rushed down the slope with a knife and quickly quartered the mammal, pulling out his heart, Cicchitto told the Corriere della Sera newspaper .

He had one of his guards present the heart to Berlusconi saying it would make an exceptional meal, the senator continued. But Berlusconi is said to have hidden behind a tree to be sick. “Maybe it’s just a hunter’s custom,” Cicchitto remembered him saying.

Berlusconi and the Russian president frequently visited each other and exchanged lavish gifts calling themselves “old friends”.

The pair often enjoyed late-night Milan parties when the Russian president would visit Italy for European summits.

On one occasion in 2014 Putin dropped into Berlusconi’s Milan villa after midnight and stayed until nearly 3am before staggering out bleary-eyed and heading home.

In April 2022, the former Italian prime minister said he was “deeply disappointed“ by Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, but later blamed the war on Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky after leaked recordings emerged in which Berlusconi described receiving 20 bottles of vodka from Putin for his 86th birthday.

Berlusconi died at a Milan hospital after suffering from leukaemia and developing a lung infection last year.

Paying tribute, the Russian president said he was saddened by the death of his “dear friend”.

“For me, Silvio was a cherished person, a true friend,” president Putin said in a message posted on Telegram.

He hailed what he described as the 86-year-old’s “wisdom” and “balanced, forward-looking decisions.”
