About the lodge.

Ideally situated in the Mpumalanga Lowveld region of South Africa, the Ndhula Lodge is giving incredible views over the mountains, the bushveld and the surrounding valleys. This stunning view, beautiful sunrises and sunsets, as well as a wonderful array of “plains” game species that graze close by give this place a “Serengeti” type ambience. 

The name “Ndhula” is the short and modified form of Indlulamithi, which means “Giraffe” in the local Zulu language. When the founder of the Lodge first visited this property, a bunch of Giraffes crossed their way. That was the sign to name the Lodge after this graceful animal.

THE PERFECT LOCATION

Ndhula is situated between the small artistic town of White River (10 minutes drive to the north), and the larger city of Nelspruit/Mbombela (30 minutes drive to the south). You can reach the Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (KMIA) within a 10 minutes drive, and it takes 4 hours from OR Tambo International Airport to get to the Lodge. The “Numbi” Kruger Park entrance is just a 50 minutes drive away. This unique location is perfect to relax and to explore some of Southern Africa’s most precious natural attractions like the world-renowned Kruger National Park, the Blyde River Canyon and the scenic Panorama Route.

Ulusaba is Sir Richard Branson’s private game reserve in South Africa. Ulusaba has 20 rooms and suites spread over two lodges: Rock Lodge, including the beautiful Cliff Lodge, and Safari Lodge. The name Ulusaba means ‘place of little fear’, so named because the koppie, or hill, on which Rock Lodge sits provided the ancient Shangaan tribal warriors with the perfect lookout point.

Zur Alten Mine

Zur Alten Mine is situated 5 km outside of Graskop. Guests can walk around the dam in the gardens or hike up to the old mine. The tastefully decorated chalets are fully equipped and some of them offer views. Each unit comes with a private bathroom with a shower and a hairdryer. Everything, very clean, organized, cozy and had everything you needed. Location is very pretty and peaceful. I loved everything about it. Would go back time and time again.

Linvale Country Lodge

With Kruger Park Lodge Golf Club reachable in 10 km, Linvale Country Lodge offers accommodation, a restaurant, an outdoor swimming pool, a garden and a shared lounge. The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. We loved the garden and the staff, they were really kind and helpful!

Rixile Kruger Lodge

Located 13 km from Skukuza Indigenous Plants Nursery, Rixile Kruger Lodge offers an outdoor swimming pool, a garden and air-conditioned accommodation with a patio and free WiFi. The lodge provides guests with a terrace, garden views, a seating area, a flat-screen TV, a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge and a dishwasher, and a private bathroom with shower and free toiletries. An oven, a microwave and stovetop are also provided, as well as a coffee machine and a kettle. Awesome place in the bush! Very convenient to Paul Kruger Gate to Kruger park. Clint was a wonderful host. Very responsive and kind. Wish we could've stayed longer.

This was our final stop in a 10 day trip around Kruger and the greater Kruger area and it was the absolute cherry on top of an amazing exploration. The location on the river is amazing and a dip in the pool looking out at passing wildlife is a true delight. What set this stay apart however was the game drives and our incredible guide Shannon. We were fortunate enough to be able.to see both wild dogs and in our final morning game drive two leopard cubs/eight months old. Shannon is one of the most knowledgeable and professional guides we have encountered in our travels around the world. Her capacity to find wildlife is remarkable and at the same time the respect she has for conservation.meant that we were able to see these rare creatures but without causing them stress. I would go back again in a heart beat and only wish we had been able to spend more time. Bed and room was comfortable. Food was plentiful and delicious.

The Zarafa 5 stars

With mountain views, The Zarafa is situated in Hazyview and has a restaurant, room service, bar, garden, year-round outdoor pool and terrace. Both WiFi and private parking are accessible at the lodge free of charge. Everything was incredible. The staff and manager Barry were incredibly kind and helpful. The meals were delicious and varied. The room was stunning and extraordinarily quiet. They went out of their way to make our trip as pleasant as possible. They succeeded. I'll definitely be back. Special mention for the giraffe rescue ;)

The place was fantastic, sparkling clean and beautifully decorated. The rooms are huge, the host is super nice and the food was delicious.. We enjoyed ourselves a lot!

Located in Marloth Park, 16 km from Crocodile Bridge and 44 km from Leopard Creek Country Club, Kruger Eden Lodge provides accommodation with free WiFi, a garden with a terrace, garden views, and access to a fitness room and a hot tub. Room was very spacious, with a large bath and patio. Everything was in order and the best part was the host. Natalie was very helpful, kind and accommodating!

The view was amazing. The hippo's [and sometimes elephants, koedoes, crocodiles and impala's) roam around the sabie river that is right in front of the accomodation so its like going on safari. The arranged safaris with the Sabie River Bush lodge were amazing. The driver casca was very nice and could tell u a lot about the animals and he really tried (and succeeded) to find all the animals we could think of.

The highlights were the location of the Train above the Sabi River - unbeatable! Beautiful, well positioned pools, decks, bars and chill areas provide a world class safari and luxurious atmosphere.
