The 15 Best Tour Operators in 2022

These are the companies Travel + Leisure readers trust to provide them with travel expertise and memorable experiences.

tour company names in the world

Note: If you’re looking for our most recent recommendations, check out the 2023 list of our favorite tour operators .

When it comes to an itinerary, Travel + Leisure readers want more than a string of photo opportunities — and the right tour operator makes all the difference in creating a trip of a lifetime versus one that simply checks off a list of sights. This year, our readers were especially drawn to companies that utilize local expertise and experience to thoughtfully design trips that will entertain as well as inspire.

Every year for our World's Best Awards survey , T+L asks readers to weigh in on travel experiences around the globe — to share their opinions on the top hotels, resorts, cities, islands, cruise ships, spas, airlines, and more. Readers rated tour operators and safari outfitters based on their staff and guides, itineraries and destinations, activities, accommodations, food, and overall value.

The top picks were noted for their deep knowledge of destinations and guides who "go the extra mile." One reader who has been traveling for more than five decades said a trip with Classic Journeys (No. 2) was the "very best" they had experienced. Others noted attention to pandemic safety details, while one who went to Norway was charmed by a "wonderful surprise dinner in Bergen out on the water that was fantastic."

Tour operators that seamlessly navigated the logistics of a trip also came out on top. Quasar Expeditions (No. 9) was noted "for really planning out every detail" so that "all you have to do is show up and have a great time." Meanwhile, of TCS World Travel (No. 10), a guest said: "You never lift a finger and just spend your time actually exploring the destination." They even added that they "learned so much" along the way.

Among the five companies on this year's list that weren't on last year's were two women-only tour operators that cater to travelers of all ages. AdventureWomen (No. 14) has multiday tours designed by women from Bhutan to Yellowstone National Park, while Explorer Chick (No. 15) has everything from day trips — like glassblowing in Baltimore and cave rappelling in St. Louis — to full itineraries in Machu Picchu and the Galápagos. One reader said her Everest Base Camp trip with AdventureWomen was filled with "like-minded women" who "bonded so well," while another said she felt it was a "safe tour group for women."

No matter which tour they chose, readers were most taken by the people they met along the way, as one said of Trek Travel (No. 13): "By the end of the trip, a group of strangers felt like longtime friends." Find out which other companies round out the list of the best tour operators below.

1. DuVine Cycling + Adventure Co.

A tour with DuVine goes far beyond just riding a bike — it's a way to really see the character of a destination. Case in point: even those who say they're not necessarily cycling fans have been converted. That's part of what helped the tour operator — which runs trips in Europe, the U.S., Latin America, and Africa — skyrocket from No. 14 last year to this year's top spot. Its "top-notch biking equipment" and "challenging but doable itineraries" didn't hurt either. One reader was especially taken by a guide picking figs off of a local tree in Puglia for an extra energy boost during a tough climb, as well as another guide singing to the group after dinner. As another reader put it simply: "They exceed your expectations."

Tips for Naming Your Tour Business

Brainstorm a list of keywords related to your business..

Differing destinations, popular cities, cultures and landscapes are all great words to consider when coming up with a name for your tour business. Think of words that accurately describe the services or benefits you provide – such as “adventure” or “journey” – and make sure they’re easy to remember.

Keep it simple.

Naming your tour business must be done thoughtfully. Opt for a concise name that is easy to pronounce and remember, as longer names can often cause confusion for potential customers. Craft something brief yet powerful!

Brainstorm some captivating and memorable words that people can easily associate with your brand. Pulling inspiration from imagery or metaphors related to what you do will help these terms be truly unique.

Consider your target audience.

When naming an accounting business, think about who you are targeting and how the name can have an impact on them. Are you looking to attract a more corporate or casual customer base? Ensure that the name reflects what they are looking for and resonates with them.

Make Sure the Domain is Available.

Once you have a few ideas for naming your accounting business, it’s time to check and make sure the domain name is available. Search for the desired URL on GoDaddy or another website of your choice, and you’ll be able to see if it’s available in no time.

Choose Your Domain!

Once you’ve settled on a domain name you like, it’s time to purchase and register it with an available hosting provider or registrar.

10 Creative Tour Name Ideas to Attract More Visitors

Angela Bolchinova

Table of Content

Destination vacation, hop-on, hop-off, mind the gap, green escapes, city sightseeing,  the landmark tour, the royal route, keep calm and travel on, wander rush, rhapsody travel or my big fat city tour, wrapping up on tour company names.

Choosing a unique tour company name is critical for every travel business. Whether it describes the route, service or experience you deliver, a good name is very likely to increase customer engagement and interest. You will need to find words that truly reflect your values in a memorable way.

In this article, we share some great tour name ideas to give you a framework for naming your own business. You will also find some useful tips to follow when making the final decision. ‘Steal like an artist’ and craft a tour name that will make your visitors go through the roof!

Deliberately misspelling is a great idea when it comes to tour names. You can build up a word that hints the nature of the experience. Adventour is a great example of a catchy name that is at the same time memorable and easy to reference. Whether you are offering breathtaking wildlife safaris or day escapes to the world’s most exotic places, it will suit ideally for your exciting tour.

Get-a-way is a similar made-up name. Short and simple, but still nicely delivering a clear message which is setting up certain expectations.

Another type of name that would ideally suit day trips and expeditions to relaxing beautiful places. Destination Vacation is a meaningful name that delivers a clear message describing the purpose of the tour. It is also an instance of SEO friendly travel name. To find more about the importance of SEO, have a read through our latest article on tourism marketing  and check your website performance with our free SEO Grader tool.

Tip: Using rhymes is a good approach when you are a bit stuck with choosing a tour name. Rhymes make even usual words sound more appealing and unique, so why not using them to create a cool tour name? Like Sky high or Ray day. Think about the best feature of your tour and rhyme it to craft something different.

Use tour names that have already gained popularity. Hop-on, Hop-off   is a good example of a common travel experience most people know about. It describes a bus tour that follows a circular route with fixed stops, allowing passengers to disembark and reboard at any stop. Fantastic choice of name for those of you who offer flexible bus tours for adventurous travelers!

Use local common phrases when organizing various city tours . They make reference to some unique cultural values reflecting the spirit and character of the city. Mind the gap is an expression every Londoner hears at least once a day. Find the distinctive notions in the area you operate and use them to describe your tour. Mind the gap is the perfect name for all types of day trips in London, especially if they include using the famous London underground.

Choose a relaxing tour company name that relates to the advantages of your tour. Green Escapes  is one of our favorites. It infers the nature of the journey while at the same time sets clear customer expectations. It highlights the best features of the trip and inspires people to imagine the relaxing expedition that the tour offers.

Comfort travel could be used in a similar context. If you can offer an exceptional travel experience, this tour name would definitely promote it nicely.

CALL TO ACTION

Choose a location-based  tour company name that is short and simple. City Sightseeing says it all. You can easily attract people specifically searching for this kind of experience. City Sightseeing Amsterdam  is one of the many examples. Whether you are going to offer convenient transport when exploring the city, or selection of places that will be visited, it will do the job. This name is quite broad and would allow adding or changing some of the relevant activities in the future.

The Landmark Tour delivers a very straightforward message. A tour named like that could take you to an enchanting garden, popular monument, or even fortress in the suburbs. Just like our previous suggestion, it targets a specific audience with clear expectations and travel goals. This tour combines all the special places that one would love to visit when traveling abroad or exploring the local.

A classy name that will be associated with a set of activities. This tour name hints exploring the cultural heritage of the specific region, in one way or another. It will attract people keen to visit everything from ancient castles and historic places to famous museums and houses. Ideal to engage all tourists interested in the fascinating stories from the past. Still engaging for the younger people who want to know more about the history and best-loved ancient monuments.

Are you trying to attract a younger audience or just want to be noticed by people spending most of their time online? Popular social terms are what you need for this purpose. Most of your customers are choosing their next travel destination or experience online. Social networks are where the actual research and planning happens.

If you want to capture this audience, create a name that contains a popular social media expression. Foodie map is a similar example that could refer to an exciting food and drinks tour.

Our final suggestion offers three different tour company names. We think one of the best approaches when choosing a tour name is creating something memorable and unique. A selection of words that sound exciting and challenging would definitely intrigue people. These names are unusual and have great potential to grow as an independent brand in the future. Give freedom to your imagination and it will pay off with an inspiring idea.

Extra Tip:  Make sure the name you choose is available as a domain name. You don’t want to end up with a great idea that cannot become something ‘bigger’.

Choosing what to call your tour or travel experience is one of the most important decisions you make for your business. To a certain extent, the name would determine further performance and success. Don’t underestimate the significance of words and the extent to which they affect customer interest. Take your time to craft an influential message locked in a few words. You will be surprised to find out how much your effort will do for the business!

The itinerary provided by tour radar was not exactly how the tour was set up. One of our stops said we would be doing a cruise on lake Powell. That was not provided with the tour. Also the hotels that they said we would be staying at did not line up.
Overall, the tour was very fun and we'll put together. The tour guides were all friendly, and seemed to work well as a team. Accomodations were not bad, but there were better options directly adjacent. Food options were pretty much all fast food, which makes sense for the tour concept. However, dinner options could have been a bit better. We really would have appreciated a little more hiking and exploring time, and a couple of the guides did the best to accommodate that. However, 20 minute stops are just not enough time to get "out and experience" the areas.

the tour itself was amazing. The national parks do not disappoint. The travel accomodations were very cramped and uncomfortable. I am only 5 foot tall and I was cramped in this 14 passenger van. Food opportunities were limited.
Fantastic experience - efficient use of time, great itinerary. Well-informed and interesting guide who is also just a great person.

Did the 3 day mini park explorer tour to Zion, Bryce, Monument Valley, Antelope Canyon and Grand Canyon. Joe and Adrian, our guides, were exceptional and made the trip comfortable and very memorable. They were knowledgeable, helpful, accommodating to special requests, and very approachable. Great planning, incredible views and hikes, a real window to the American southwest. This was my second tour with Bindlestiff and I highly recommend traveling with them!
Our guide Adrian was amazing he is very knowledgeable about the parks that we went to and very understanding, the hotels were beyond my expectations, every day was special and a new adventure.I highly recommend doing this tour with them.

The security guard berween the luxor and the excalibur srated "the bus location and pick up tours:, was the place to be. 8. I was in the wrong location, after talking to your customer service, which at first she was hesitating to help me. She finslly was sble to contact me with Patrivia. We were fortunate to have Claire Kredens as our driver guide. She is a gifted leader and could cope with ant situation. Such a tour is useful to learn which cities you might like to re-visit because our time in each is very short. Four and five hour drives every other day is exhausting and maybe the number of places visited could be edited downward. On the whole, I enjoyed the trip altho the age range 15-99 is unwise. 15-80 would be much more realistic.
My son and I had a great hiking adventure on the Sedona tour! The scenery was stunning, the hikes were fun! Tolman was an excellent guide, who was very knowledgeable about the area, he had great hiking tips, and he picked some enjoyable challenging hikes for us! He was also an excellent cook! He prepared us some great meals! His positive outlook on everything helped the group of strangers on the trek quickly bond which led us all to have a great hiking experience!

Although the tour was very expensive- over $2000 for 3 days is over the top- it wss a great experience, saw lots of wildlife and the guide was outstanding
What an amazing experience this was; from the greeting and pick up by our guide/driver, to the phenomenal sights and the historical references that accompanied them! I am so pleased. This was an exceptionally planned tour that successfully met all of my needs. I would not change a thing and look forward to future adventures with them.

The tour was amazing, the manager did a top notch job, it’s great for making lots of friends, such a blast. A little rushed and fast paced, but it’s better than the stress of organising your own trip. Definitely doing it again
I thought it was great and would do it again any time!

Excellent. Great guide, driver, weather, hotels, food. Great itenirary. Love love this trip.
Optional excursions were reasonably priced. Suggest you put together other places in each city as a walking guide or short taxi or uber ride. Example access to close by museums open late and could walk to from hotel. Free time activities and what they are and where located is helpful.tour guide can offer to accompany a group interested to explore more during free leisure tome.Provide more detail info about the logistics of site visits. Niagara falls..suggest more water proof gear clothing and shoe types etc. Terrain to expect when visiting certain sites and possible alternatives.climbing and how difficult-easy or more strenuous or advanced climbing activity. Overall, small groups so much better than filling up bus. Thank you for giving single travelers their own bus space. Would love to watch more travel videos on longer driving distances.

Good time with lots of riding in the van going to interesting places
We had a wonderful time. The tour was well planned and well managed. The CEO was excellent ..good driver, good communicator, had good knowledge of the local attractions and made great recommendations for restaurants. The group we were with was also a very pleasant group which made the experience that much more enjoyable. That said, would have loved to see the accommodations updated.. most except the Denali cabins were old and "weathered".

It was my first group trip and also my first camping trip. I have to say it was one of the best trips I've been on. It was an adventure! We were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights at Remote Camp. Tory and Dave took care of everything and made sure everyone had a great time. No matter what problem you had, they always helped each other! Dave cooked delicious food, we had marshmallows by the fire in the evening and it felt like family. It's a great tour and I can only recommend it to anyone! It certainly wasn't my last tour with Infinite Adventure! Many thanks to Tory, Dave and Natalie (who you could ask any question you wanted to know beforehand) for this unforgettable time! :)
Jump on the bus with Infinite Adventures for a magnificent Alaskan expedition! Dave and Tory are excellent guides and will keep you informed about the areas you visit and give expert advice. I found this to be a truly joyful experience!

My first experience with an organized tour like this. Expense alone will limit future trips. Much more walking than my wife was prepared for. This alone reduced her enjoyment. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and thorough with his planning and execution. Andrew has a fun personality and very personable. One item that disappointed me was the shuttle from airport to resort at both ends of the
Insights Tours are always amazing and this one was no exception. Nice balance of free time to relax and experience Hawaii on your own with visits to places on the islands to experience the culture. leider entsprach der Reiseverlauf nicht ganz der ursprĂŒnglichen Ausschreibung.

This trip was run like a school trip, we were told that we had to stick to the schedule rigidly even though I asked several times to visit a different museum/shop. Free time was limited and it seemed like the guide had specific ideas of what he wanted to do and see. Our guide also left us on a subway in New York to get home close to midnight and then we had issues getting checked into the hostel. FYI most tour guides make sure their group gets to the hotel safely and without hassle. Waste of time and money.
From a speedboat to the Statue of Liberty to fireworks on 4th July in Washington to hiking to Yosemite Falls, this trip showcased the very best the USA has to offer. I went on the 21 day Full Cyote trip from New York to San Francisco with my brother. With such a packed itinerary of included activities, it offered great value for money. The guides in every region we visited were excellent. A particular shout out to Ryan, who added in extra stops and experiences based on the group's interests. Other highlights included the Grand Canyon, Washington's museums, whale watching in Boston, cycling across the Golden Gate Bridge and sunset in Griffeths Park. I met a great group of people on the trip, and I wouldn't hesitate to book with the Cyote Trip again.

Guide: How To Name Your Business

Why is your business name important.

Your business name is one of the single most important pieces to starting a business.

Because your business name has power.

It reflects your reputation, your mission, values, and represents what people (and customers) are searching for.

It impacts the way in which people remember, refer you, and perceive your business

When choosing your business name, there's a lot to think about in order to get it right - so it's important not to rush this process.

Let's take a look at everything you need to consider before deciding on a business name:

Tips To Consider When Naming Your Tour Company:

Simple is always better

This means a few different things. Your tour company name should always be:

  • Easy to spell
  • Easy to pronounce
  • Easy to remember

Consider avoiding long names as much as possible, as this will only lead your customers forgetting your name and feeling frustrated.

To test this point, try to think of any well-known reputable brand off the top of your head.

The first that come to mind for me are Alexa, Google, Nike, Apple - each unique in their own way (hence, easy to remember) , less than six characters and easy to spell.

Your Business Name Should Define What You Do

The name of your business should reflect a defining characteristic of what you do.

Before your customer goes to your website or speaks to you, the name of your business should spark some initial thoughts in their brain as to what you're all about.

For example, marketingexamples.com describes exactly what their company is about: providing great examples of marketing tactics.

Consider SEO When Naming Your Business

Bottom line: If you don't show up in google, you're going to make it that much more challenging for customers to find you.

There are several different aspects to think about when it comes to SEO & naming your tour company:

  • Try not to pick a business name that's crowded with other businesses
  • Consider naming your business based on highly searched keywords
  • Make sure the name of your business matches search intent and what people are looking for

Think about the emotions you want to evoke

Your business name has the power to evoke certain emotions and thoughts from your customer.

It has the ability to evoke a positive or a negative feeling. An inclusive or an exclusive feeling. A fearful or a loving feeling.

It's not to say that any of these feelings are wrong, but it's important to ensure that they are in line with your values and mission.

For example, the brand Death's Door makes me feel a bit risky and uncertain - but that's the point. They're selling Gin.

Try Not To Pick Something Too Limiting

Your business name should be fitting for the future and growth of your business , that way you don't have to confront a re-brand down the road.

If you choose something too narrow, it may be challenging to diversify your product and revenue streams down the road.

Here are some tips to avoid making this mistake:

  • Try not to name the business after a particular geographical area (this makes it hard to grow in other areas)
  • Try not to name the business after only one product you sell
  • Try not to name something based on a current trend

Brainstorming Names For Your Business

If you're in the brainstorming phase and trying to come up with a business name, there are a few key things to think about in order to get the juices flowing:

  • Write out a list of words that reflect your brand, personality, team etc. These should be the first things that come to your mind and you shouldn't have to think too hard about it.
  • Look at competition in the space and see if there's a common theme. Write down some key words or phrases that resonate with you and add them to the list.
  • Think about the emotion you want to evoke with your business name
  • Ask yourself: If I had to describe my business in one word, what would it be?

From there, you can create a shortlist based on the words that resonate best with you and follow the naming guidelines above.

Tips on naming your business

In addition to the requirements from the State, there are some general naming guidelines that may help you down the road as well.

We've put together a full guide here for naming your business here but will also cover the most critical pieces below:

Is your URL available? Social media handles?

You can check for domain availability here:

Find a domain starting at $0.88

powered by Namecheap

As soon as you resonate with a name (or names), secure the domain and social media handles as soon as possible to ensure they don't get taken.

Other general naming tips

  • Consider SEO when naming your business
  • Consider naming your business something that reflects what you do and/or who you are
  • Keep it simple! Easy to spell, easy to pronounce and easy to remember
  • Try not to pick something too limiting that could impact your businesses growth in the future!

Examples of Great Business Names

When choosing a business name, it's critical that you look at other examples of businesses not only in your space, but business names in other industries that have done particularly well.

Here are a few examples of great business names (+ how some of these businesses came up with their name):

Competitor Analysis Example

One great way to name your business is by looking at the competition and getting inspiration.

Gia Paddock, founder of Boutique Rye analyzed other businesses in the space and added her own personal spin to her business name:

A popular national brick & mortar women’s boutique that many may have heard of is called Francesca’s
How original, right? So we came up with Boutique Rye named after our son, Riley. We put "boutique" in front to be a little different.

The name "Boutique Rye" checks the boxes for naming a business:

  • Short and simple
  • Easy to spell and easy to remember
  • Clearly defines what the company does
  • Optimized for SEO (people searching for boutiques)
  • Unique and personal touch - tells a story.

Ask Other People

Sometimes, coming up with a name is as easy as asking other people, whether that be friends, family, people at a coffee shop, or in Spyq Sklar case, his own customer!

How we came up with the name Cat Sushi :

So, we put together a quick business plan and set aside some money that we were willing to risk. One of our loyal customers actually came up with the name. We still give them free cat food.

Read the full story âžĄïž here

The name "Cat Sushi" checks all the boxes for naming a business:

  • Memorable and funny
  • Obvious that they sell treats for cats
  • Fun & unique story - their customer literally came up with the name of their business!

The Amazon Example

Formerly called "Cadabra", Jeff Bezos decided that the name was too obscure, hard to spell, and easy to misinterpret.

The name Amazon came from a simple dictionary search .

Jeff Bezos wanted something that started with an A, looked through a dictionary and came up with the word Amazon.

When he told his team, he didn't care for anyone else's input. He was set on it.

Here's how the word "Amazon" checks all the boxes (aside from being worth a trillion dollars):

  • Represents the largest river in the world, making it very memorable
  • The story and meaning of the word matches the vision of the company: To be the larger and better than any other business!
  • The name allows for future growth opportunity - they didn't name something specific to just "books," even though at the time, that's what it was.
  • Easy to spell, pronounce and recommend!

The market is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 5.8% from 2023 to 2032 and reach a value of more than $1.01 trillion by the end of the forecasted period. The North American region leads the global travel and tourism market, while Europe follows as the second-largest market. The Asia-Pacific region is anticipated to exhibit the fastest growth in the industry during the forecasted period.

The travel and tourism market is undergoing a digital transformation with online booking platforms, travel agencies, mobile apps, and online travel-related services driving growth by enhancing connectivity and providing convenient and personalized traveler experiences. The trend of cultural and experiential tourism, with travelers seeking authentic, immersive experiences, unique destinations, and local experiences, is also a key factor driving market growth. 10 Eco-Friendly Tour Companies You Should Know About

  • Using eco-friendly, green tour companies is an excellent way to enjoy world travel while minimizing negative impacts on the environment and supporting local communities.
  • G Adventures, Undiscovered Mountains, Byway Travel, Gondwana Ecotours, Experience Travel Group, Natural Habitat Adventures, Responsible Travel, AndBeyond, Seacology, and Intrepid Travel are some of the best sustainable tour operators available.
  • These environmentally focused, green tour operators prioritize eco-friendly measures such as hiring local guides, tracking community profits, promoting flight-free travel, investing in clean drinking water systems, reducing carbon emissions, and partnering with conservation organizations.

Arguably, the greatest joy of travel is the opportunity to experience new sights, cultures, histories, and landscapes. Visitors will often spend months planning, booking tours, scouting restaurants, and scheduling in some needed downtime.

Not all travel is created equal, however. In fact, many of the most common travel practices today have a number of negative side effects on both the destination and the planet as a whole. So, how can travelers still enjoy the wonders of the world without harming it in the process? One of the best tips for environmentally friendly world travel is to use an eco-friendly tour company.

Many of the best eco friendly tour companies in the world offer all the same advantages as traditional tour groups but have also taken extra steps to ensure they hire locally and watch their product consumption, giving back to the community they draw their profits from. The tour companies below are some of the top-rated eco-friendly tour companies in the world, ensuring that responsible and sustainable travel is available for every adventurer.

GolfForever is more than a name. It’s also the company’s aim.

Dr. Jeremy James founded GolfForever after spending a decade at the world-renowned Aspen Back Institute. He created a holistic virtual training regimen designed to add longevity to every golfer’s career, whether they’re a PGA TOUR player or everyday amateur.

“In the past, only PGA TOUR players and elite competitive golfers had access to the best coaching, programs and tools to optimize their bodies for the game of golf,” James said. “GolfForever makes that level of training available to every golfer, regardless of age, skill or physical ability, so they can play at their maximum potential, free of pain and injury, for as long as they play the game.”

Golf is more popular than ever, and GolfForever can help the increasing number of participants play better and for longer. While the company is best recognized for its Swing Trainer, GolfForever is much more than the eye-catching green training bar that is just one part of its comprehensive training program.

Through its app and membership program, GolfForever allows golfers to access world-class coaching at home. Users receive videos that guide them through their personalized training regimen, which is based on their physical abilities and goals derived from a short strength and flexibility self-assessment they take upon signing up.

The GolfForever Swing Trainer, which the company calls “the most versatile golf training tool ever created,” is the featured piece of training equipment used in the app and where GolfForever really comes to life.

Looking to gain a further edge on the competition, Scottie Scheffler and Dr. Troy Van Biezen began utilizing the GolfForever Swing Trainer during off-weeks in 2021, leveraging the training regimen on TOUR for the first time ahead of the 2022 Farmers Insurance Open. (Photos courtesy GolfForever)

Utilizing the Swing Trainer with individualized warmup and workout regimens in the GolfForever app will help yield results on and off the course by increasing mobility and flexibility as well as improving strength, coordination, balance and cardio. GolfForever boasts more than 1,200 videos that users can utilize at home, in the gym, at the course or anywhere else.

The versatile Swing Trainer has two weighted heads for use in warming up and workouts, and it can be connected to a door anchor for resistance band training. It can even be attached to a golf cart for pre-round warm-ups.

“The featured piece of equipment in GolfForever’s guided warmup, strength-building and recovery routines, the GolfForever Swing Trainer combines asymmetrical resistance training with a swing weight-optimized warmup club,” James said. “This allows golfers to improve their mobility, strength and swing movement patterns at home, and loosen up properly at the course before they play.”

Many GolfForever users immediately notice how engaged different parts of their body feel upon first using the training system. It’s the first result from GolfForever that is impossible to ignore – and one that quickly translates into improved performance on the course.

After just a single eight-minute warmup with GolfForever, golfers in a casual pilot study displayed better movement in their swing and hit the center of the clubface more often. The results were even more dramatic after 30 days of using the program. Participants who used the app an average of three times per week saw an average distance gain of 26 yards in the first 30 days.

Those who used the program just twice per week gained an average of 13 yards in that first month.

Exercises like split-stance rotations, single-leg lateral holds, side lunges with rotation and many easy-to-do movements improved golfers’ flexibility, mobility, balance and coordination. That pays major dividends in a golf swing by increasing hand speed, as well as the width and length of the backswing, all of which translate to greater clubhead and ball speeds.

“The results of using GolfForever speak for themselves,” James said. “Our members often significantly improve their range of motion, rotational power and balance, which makes a noticeable impact on their swings and ability to gain distance off the tee.

“But the real magic often comes in the improvements to their energy and how they feel off the course, which is a pleasant surprise that can make a lasting difference in their lives.”

There’s a reason 10-time PGA TOUR winner and world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler is both a daily user of the program and an investor in the company. It has directly correlated with his rise to the top of the golf world. Scheffler has won 10 times, including a pair of PLAYERS and Masters titles, in little more than two years – all since starting to use GolfForever with his longtime performance coach and GolfForever contributor, Dr. Troy Van Biezen.

Scheffler began working out with GolfForever during off weeks in 2021. He integrated it into his on-site training regimen at tournaments ahead of the 2022 Farmers Insurance Open. He was pleased with how he struck the ball that week, and he won his first PGA TOUR title just two weeks later.

Scheffler has won four of his past five starts on the PGA TOUR, including victories at TPC Sawgrass and Augusta National. His pursuit of another major begins this week in the PGA Championship at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky.

“I think in the last two years I’ve taken much more of a priority in my physical health,” Scheffler said. “When I first came out on TOUR when I was in college, it was a priority, but it wasn’t as important as it is now. A huge part of my daily routine is making sure I’m physically ready to go, and my trainer, Troy (Van Biezen), has been a huge part of that.”

GolfForever has taken Scheffler’s game to another level. It can do that for any player, whether they’re the world No. 1 or a weekend warrior.

Breaking news, joey mcintyre’s catholic mom once called new kids on the block’s record company.

She made sure they did “ The Right Stuff .”

New Kids on the Block singer Joey McIntyre’s mom wanted to ensure that the world-famous boy band kept it clean and wholesome.

“My mother was a staunch Catholic. I mean, she actually called the record company [because] there was a little too much cleavage in one of our videos and was like, ‘Change that clip,'” McIntyre, 51, the youngest of the five band members, told The Post.

The New Kids on the Block, from left, Danny Wood, Donnie Wahlberg, Jordan Knight, Joey McIntyre and Jonathan Knight

McIntyre, the youngest of nine children, is thankful his late mom was so religious.

“I mean, thank God, because I wouldn’t be here, right? I mean, birth control was not an option, so that’s why they had nine kids. They just kept going, God Bless them.”

The pop star and his fellow bandmates — Donnie Wahlberg, Danny Wood and brothers Jordan and Jonathan Knight — released their eighth album “Still Kids” on Friday, their first in 11 years, and will embark on a 40-city concert tour this summer .

The group, which formed in 1984, disbanded in 1994, but reunited in 2008 because the timing was right, McIntyre said.

“You have to be patient. And I think a lot of people wanted us to get together for award shows or their TV show, all this stuff. And we knew we had something more special than that,” he said.

“And so when we were ready and we did do it, our fans were ready too.”

The guys enjoyed their fame in the ’80s and ’90s.

“I don’t think we were celibate, let’s put it that way. I mean, we were teenagers,” he said.

Even before the internet, girls were tracking them down.

“Oh, God, I mean, they were at our houses. It was crazy,” said McIntyre, who grew up in the suburbs of Boston.

Before the advent of social media, the boys had a hotline that fans, known as “Blockheads,” could call to hear pre-recorded messages from the group — unbeknownst to their parents.

“Now it’s famous for fans telling us all the time that they got grounded because their parents wouldn’t know and they’d find the phone bills and go, ‘What’s this $50 for?'” he said.

“ Pink was famously grounded for calling in to our number.”

In February, they created a free hotline — 1-806-NEW-KIDS — where callers now hear a message from Wahlberg from the set of his TV series “Blue Bloods.”

“And it’s free, so you can call all you want,” McIntyre said.

When McIntyre, who was the last member to join NKOTB, was recruited, he was 12 and doing community theater.

“Our manager, Mary Alford, at the time was just calling around public schools to see if there were any little white kids who could sing and dance. And there weren’t many of us,” he recalled.

McIntyre, who lived with his wife, Barrett Williams , a Lincoln Square native, and their three children on the Upper West Side from 2018 to 2020, before the family moved back to Los Angeles, recounted the band’s humble beginnings in the Big Apple.

Joey McIntyre and his family

“When the New Kids first were trying to make it, New York was everything and we would drive down, packed in one car and knock on doors and pound the pavement, like, literally,” he said.

“We would go into people’s offices and sing and that’s how we got to the Apollo Theater is literally, running into the guy who booked it.”

They didn’t have instant success, and had to wait until the 1988 release of their second album “Hangin’ Tough,” which became the nation’s second best-selling album the following year — to achieve superstardom.

joey mcintyre on broadway

“We didn’t make it for like three years. We were just hustling, trying to get gigs. Our first album flopped,” McIntyre said.

NKOTB went on to sell over 100 million albums worldwide, receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and become the first music group to perform at the Super Bowl halftime show .

After the group split, McIntyre launched a solo career and released multiple albums, starred in “Wicked” and “Waitress” on Broadway , and even competed on the first season of “Dancing with the Stars .”

Besides getting fawned over by female fans, McIntyre gets approached by men “all the time” — who want a photo to bring home to their wives or girlfriends.

“Probably more so than the fans themselves,” he said.

“They want to get credit — and do something, get a little bonus.”

Power Rankings: Expect Stars to Shine at PGA Championship

Jim stracka | may 14, 2024.

Rory McIlroy enters the PGA Championship fresh off a win at the Wells Fargo.

Welcome to Power Rankings, a weekly feature on SI Golf from our partners at KeyCompete . This week the golf world has landed in Valhalla for the 2024 PGA Championship, and an elite field is set to tee off. Here’s how our model sees this week’s event event shaping up:

2024 PGA Championship Preview

Designed by Jack Nicklaus and opened in 1986, Valhalla has a rich history and presents a formidable test. Recent renovations have further enhanced the course's beauty and playability, ensuring that it remains a favorite among players and spectators alike. The par-71 will play at 7,609 yards this week. Here are 10 players our model likes this week.

KeyCompete’s 2024 PGA Championship Power Rankings ( Odds from DraftKings )

1.  Scottie Scheffler (+400) - The new dad and World No. 1 arrives at Valhalla as the undisputed man to beat.

2.  Rory McIlroy (+700) - Hard to believe his last major title came here in 2014. Fresh off a win at the Wells Fargo, things appear to be clicking at the perfect time to end his major drought.

3.  Xander Schauffele (+1400) - Hung in with Rory at Wells Fargo and no shame in falling short. Due to win his first major. This could be the week.

4.  Brooks Koepka (+1400) - Four-time major champion thrives in the spotlight , and Valhalla presents an ideal stage for his aggressive style. Should be a factor.

5.  Ludvig Aberg (+1800) - Surprised at Augusta and his fearless approach and prodigious talent should make him a factor again at Valhalla.

6.  Jon Rahm (+1600) - Enters with a chip on his shoulder after lackluster showing as defending champion at the Masters. Top 10 in every LIV golf event so far this year.

7.  Bryson DeChambeau (+2500) - Contended all weekend at Augusta and has had a solid season on LIV. Power and accuracy will play well at Valhalla.

8.  Wyndham Clark (+3500) - Arguably the Tour’s third-best player this year behind Scheffler and McIlroy. Another player with a power game to handle Valhalla.

9.  Collin Morikawa (+2500) - The 2020 PGA Championship winner features his trademark ball-striking and cool demeanor. Couldn’t hang with Scheffler at Augusta but only missed a couple of shots that Sunday.

10.  Cameron Smith (+3500) - Creativity and resilience make him a formidable competitor. Quiet top 10 at Augusta.

2024 Wells Fargo Championship Recap

Rory McIlroy returned to the winner’s circle in dramatic fashion, pulling away from Xander Schauffele on Sunday at Quail Hollow to win the Wells Fargo for the fourth time in his career.

KeyCompete had a solid week with our matchup picks, and brought our yearly record to 83-55.

Scottie Scheffler arrested for allegedly assaulting officer near fatal crash while on way to PGA Championship

Updated on: May 17, 2024 / 8:45 PM EDT / CBS/AP

Masters champion Scottie Scheffler  was arrested by police in Louisville on Friday morning on his way to the PGA Championship, with stunning images showing him handcuffed as he was led to a police car and charged with assaulting an officer after allegedly attempting to drive around traffic backed up from a pedestrian fatality investigation. Scheffler was released later in the morning and continued competing in the tournament.

Police said Scheffler was booked for second-degree assault of a police officer, third-degree criminal mischief, reckless driving and disregarding traffic signals from an officer directing traffic. In a statement to CBS News, Scheffler's attorney Steve Romines said the golfer "never at any point assaulted any officer with his vehicle" and added that "we will litigate this matter as needed."

In a statement posted to Instagram , Scheffler said he was in a "very chaotic situation."

"There was a big misunderstanding of what I thought I was being asked to do," Scheffler said. "I never intended to disregard any of the instructions. I'm hopeful to put this to the side and focus on golf today."

Police said a pedestrian had been struck by a bus while crossing the road in a lane that was dedicated to tournament traffic. Police said the man died at the scene, CBS affiliate WLKY  reported . Traffic was backed up for about a mile in both directions on the only road that leads to Valhalla Golf Club, with dozens of police cars flashing red-and-blue lights near the entrance.

Scheffler, the No. 1 player in the world, later started the second round shortly after 10 a.m. EDT. After finishing Friday's round, Scheffler told reporters he wouldn't discuss specific details about the incident, but he said he didn't know at the time that the accident ahead of him in traffic was fatal.

"I feel like my head's still spinning," Scheffler said. "I can't really explain what happened this morning. I did spend some time stretching in a jail cell — that was a first for me."

Scheffler expressed confidence that the charges would "get resolved, I think, fairly quickly."

Why was Scottie Scheffler arrested?

According to a police report, Scheffler was in an eastbound lane and pulled into the westbound lanes, where a uniformed detective was standing. The detective stopped Scheffler and attempted to give him instructions, but Scheffler "refused to comply and accelerated forward," according to the report.

The detective, identified as Det. Gillis, was dragged "to the ground" and suffered "pain, swelling, and abrasions to his left wrist," according to the report.

The detective was dressed in a high visibility reflective jacket when he stopped Scheffler's car to give instructions, the arrest sheet said. Gillis was taken to the hospital for his injuries.

The Louisville Metro Police Department said that all lanes were closed during the traffic fatality investigation.

"While an officer was directing traffic, an encounter with a motorist attempting to make entry into a restricted area ultimately led to the driver being arrested," the police said in a statement. "We are in the process of conducting a thorough investigation. We are appreciative that all parties involved are fully cooperating."

Romines said Scheffler was driving a marked player's vehicle and proceeding as he'd been instructed.

"I think the officer that was directing traffic was maybe not part of the event traffic detail and so that's where the miscommunication arose, and that's why we're here," Romines told WLKY.

ESPN reporter Jeff Darlington said he watched this unfold with Scheffler driving past a police officer a little after 6 a.m. in his SUV. He said police pulled Scheffler out of the vehicle, pushed him up against the car and immediately placed him in handcuffs.

In this still image made from video provided by ESPN, Masters champion Scottie Scheffler is escorted to a police car after being handcuffed near Valhalla Golf Club, the site of the PGA Championship golf tournament, early May 17, 2024.

"Scheffler was then walked over to the police car, placed in the back, in handcuffs, very stunned about what was happening, looked toward me as he was in those handcuffs and said, 'Please help me,'" Darlington said. "He very clearly did not know what was happening in the situation. It moved very quickly, very rapidly, very aggressively."

Darlington said whole the incident started with a "misunderstanding with traffic flow."

With cars backed up in the morning darkness, other PGA-marked vehicles tried to move slowly toward the entrance. Traffic finally began to move slowly a little before 7 a.m.

A spokesperson for the PGA of America identified the man who was struck by the shuttle bus as John Mills. In a statement, the PGA's Greg Dillard said Mills, a worker with one of the group's vendors, was going to work when he was hit.

"This is heartbreaking to all of us involved with the PGA Championship," the PGA said in a statement. "We extend our sincere condolences to their family and loved ones."

Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear conveyed his condolences on social media , saying, "Our hearts are broken, and we continue to pray for the victim's family."

"The events that occurred afterward are the unfortunate result of this tragic incident, and we are hopeful that all parties involved can come to a resolution," Beshear said.

Scheffler also expressed his sympathies for the man who died.

"It truly puts everything in perspective," Scheffler said on social media.

The website for the Louisville Metropolitan Department of Corrections briefly showed a booking photo of Scheffler before the photo was removed. According to the website, Scheffler was released at 8:40 a.m.

Scottie Scheffler is seen in a police booking photo May 17, 2024.

Did Scottie Scheffler play today?

Scheffler returned to the course at 9:12 a.m. He made his way to the practice area around 9:30 a.m. and was welcomed by fans — one shouted "free Scottie!"

Scheffler seemed like his normal, relaxed self, sharing a few laughs on the driving range. Then he went out and made a birdie on his first hole of the day after sticking his approach shot to three feet. Scheffler finished Friday's round two strokes behind leader Collin Morikawa at nine strokes under par for the tournament, CBS Sports reports .

It was a surreal start to what already has been a wild week of weather — the Masters champion and top-ranked in the world, dressed in workout clothes with his hands in cuffs behind his back amid flashing flights.

Darlington said police were not sure who he was. He said an officer asked him to leave and when he identified himself being with the media, he was told, "There's nothing you can do. He's going to jail."

Darlington said another police officer later approached with a notepad and asked if he knew the name of the person they put in handcuffs.

Scottie Scheffler of the United States plays his shot from the 12th tee during the second round of the 2024 PGA Championship at Valhalla Golf Club on May 17, 2024, in Louisville, Kentucky.

Scheffler is coming off four victories in his last five tournaments. He was home in Dallas for the last three weeks waiting on the birth of his first child, a son who was born on May 8.

"I feel like my head is still spinning. I can't really explain what happened this morning," Scheffler said after remarkably posting another 5-under 66 Friday that kept him in the mix for a second straight major championship. He is seeking to become only the fifth player since 1960 to win the first two majors of the year.

Last month, Scheffler won his second  Masters Tournament  victory in three years, finishing 11 under and four strokes up on his closest competitors.
