Nous avons pris le menu grand écran a 145 € (repas + 1 bouteille de champagne pour 2) Ça a été un Excellent moment, on a assisté au coucher de soleil en direct depuis le 56e étage de la tour, repas délicieux mais mon mari... a été contrarié par le fait que la bouteille de champagne n'a pas été laissé sur la table et il a fallu demander d'être resservi chaque fois qu'on finissait notre verre... Si on demandait pas les verres restaurant vides. On a même eu droit a une réflexion #humoristique d'un des serveurs : "qui me dit que Madame n'a pas vu ces 4 flutes de champagne ". Je pense que pour ce prix là on ne doit pas demander aux serveurs des remplir nous verres ! Plutôt déçus dans l'ensemble.. Le serveur met la moitié du vin sur la table, les cocktails sont vraiment pas bons au point qu on les a pas terminés. Les plats manquent de sauce qui elle est très bonne ... Dommage. Le dessert et la vue... sublime ont rattrape la soiree. Il faut venir pour la vue , pas pour le reste. Durant notre séjour, plutôt que de faire l'Observatoire de la Tour Montparnasse, nous avons voulu essayer ce restaurant, situé au 56è étage, pour la vue exceptionnelle qu'il offre. En ayant opté pour le Déjeuner Gourmand (entrée + plat) à 35€, nous avons eu l'agréable surprise... d'obtenir des places près des baies vitrées, normalement réservées au menu "Grand Ecran" à 145€ (dont le coût nous paraît tout de même très exagéré). L'expérience restera un moment inoubliable pour cette vue époustouflante. Sans être de la grande gastronomie, les plats étaient bons et le service agréable. Horrible ! Accueil digne d'une prison avec passage de portique et fouille des sacs. Placement modifié au profit d'une table de touristes asiatiques qui nous relègue sur deux tables séparées alors que nous fêtions un anniversaire en groupe. Et le clou du spectacle : Expulsion... du hall par un vigile parce que nous prenions trop de temps pour nous dire au revoir !!! Alors la nourriture est très bonne, étant donné le standing annoncé c'est un minimum, la vue est à couper le souffle mais ça ne suffit pas si le moment est gâché par l'attitude dédaigneuse du personnel. Je vous recommande chaleureusement ce restaurant. La vue est exceptionnelle, on y mange bien et on y est très bien accueilli. J’avais réservé un table pour deux à l’occasion d’une demande en fiançailles. Le personnel s’est montré disponible et agréable. Nous avons été placé très vite mais nous avons attendu une éternité pour prendre notre commande et nous avons aussi attendu une éternité pour être servi ; pourtant il n'y avait pas grand monde. Nous avons dû appeler plusieurs fois le serveur pour qu'il vienne... ! Nous avons pris un chocolat à 8€50 qui n'avait rien d'extraordinaire et qui était tiède et un café qui a été servi sans sucre. A fuir absolument ! Ce n’est précisé nulle part sur le site mais si vous voulez une table près de la fenêtre il faut impérativement prendre le menu à 145 euros. Et si vous avez le malheur de dire quelque chose, on vous annule votre... réservation pour le soir même ! Taken here by French friends as a treat and wow was it good. Even though we didn't have a table reservation until 10pm the view and the service was excellent. We opted for the Grand Ecran menu which comes with a liberal serving of quality... champagne and wine included in the price. Best lobster soup starter ever, my sea bass was good not great but the tasting desert selection was just fantastic. Not too stuffy but great quality all round. More

I went to this restaurant on February 27 for the last romantic dinner of my vacation in Paris, the location is wonderful you can see all of Paris illuminated including the most beautiful monuments such as the Eiffel Tower. the service was very friendly and... polite, nice waiter and very knowledgeable also on the tourist attractions of Paris. the entrance was a bit difficult to find but once we found it, the doormen welcomed us and accompanied us to take the elevator and made us go up to the forty-sixth floor, the entrance was very clean and also the hall lift and impeccable bathrooms. I chose to take the card menu but it is also possible to choose the fixed menu, where there are many types of dishes and you have the possibility to choose a dish for each course. we took both meat and fish dishes and both were delicious and also beautiful to look at. for dessert we took their most popular dish where you can find many small portions of desserts in order to taste everything. the price was balanced both for the location and for the quality of the food, 3 courses each plus 2 glasses of wine we spent a total of 120 euros each. all great More

Just back from the restaurant. 5* views from panoramic windows, 4* service, 3* food and 2* wine list. Adya, Mahmadu and Richard did their best serving us. Nice people to chat with. However, during our 3hrs lunch nobody removed even once the bread crumbles covering... our tablecloth, so the staff is not really trained for 5* service. We had sea bass and turbot for mains, both were mediocre at best. Wine list was unbelievably poor. No, I would not recommend eating here, as the food quality doesn’t match the high prices in the menu. More

We booked this place directly on the website, asking if we could get a table next to the windows to enjoy the view because it was our first year marriage anniversary. We arrived there and we were put as far as possible from the window.... We told the Restaurant's waiters and they told us they would let us know if it was possible to do something (note that there were 3 empty tables next to the window, and we arrived at the last time available for the reservation, so this means there was noone else coming). We started ordering food and wine. The waiter who came with the wine, after pouring it in our glasses, dropped the bottle in the ice far from our table, and I had to go pick it to take it close to our table because the waiter was M.I.A.). We then asked again (after 1 hour and more tables free) if we could move next to the window, and yet again we were ignored. Food was overpriced, shrimps were not cooked, TBone steak wasn't good at all for that price. Absolutely awful experience, it looks like these guys have no clue how to run a restaurant with that level of price in that area. You definitely get a better quality service at McDonald's. Never again. It's such a shame that this beautiful locations is run by this guys. Want a suggestion? Go there, take a few picture, and go get food in some other place. More

Except for the glorious view of Paris, this restaurant has zero charm. I attended a business dinner on a Tuesday evening and it was packed with similar groups, families and couples. The service was adequate - the floor manager was very attentive while the wait... staff itself were rather disorganized. Cocktails were completely ordinary, except for the prices. The menu ho-hum, nothing special and presentation was terrible. Each plate looked like second-class hotel food, with all the colorful garnishes….With that said, the veal was very tender and tasty. The rest, including a very nondescript dessert for 14 euros, was blah. The worse of it all, however, was the decor: blaring white lights that kill the atmosphere and prevent a decent view of the city due to the glare, flooring and furnishings that have not been updated since the place opened in the ‘70s (the grimy gray rug was very off putting) and the mix of loud disco music was anything but subtle. Breathtaking view over Paris and outstanding food. We didn t receive the table we reserved. By the windiw with the oerfect view. Our table for two was very small and the space we had nade it almost impossible to get out of your jacket. Staff... to bring food was very ignorant , had no clue, just bringing plates without comment. Atmosphere was like a hospital cantine, but with 300 Euros for me and my hubby, way too expensive. More

This place should be something around 3.75 points. You get a stunning view of Paris you won’t get anywhere else. The food is not bad, especially if you go a la carte, the desert was flawless so the lobster was really good indeed. However the... meat and fish were missing more intensive taste. I understand it is difficult with the concept, but one would expect bit more (price level fits the unique location). And just small tip: in spring and fall, if you come at 7PM for the dinner, you will see the Paris by day and night in one package. There were few things considering improvement: 1) I was asked 3 times to confirm the reservation on the same day (via App, via email and via SMS). When arriving, got confused with the people waiting in line without reservation 2) Please, take dirty plates directly to the kitchen and not clean/ stove them in the restaurant 3) Try to change the worn carpet, ruins otherwise nice and clean interior More

We came to have a lunch and enjoy the view. My friend had celebrated a birthday there before and was looking forward to revisit the restaurant. We were very disappointed the foods was below par. No flavor, the rice of his risotto - side of... the filet de boeuf -was rancid - he is a chef so he knows what he is talking about. The porc dish was nothing exceptional and also lacked flavor. I would say the plates fabulously decorated and the dishes were extremely pretty but I believe the most important is the taste of the food not how they look. The coup de grace was a cafe with an under up that was chipped. For the price although we understand we are paying for the view I think they could a lot better and we were all very disappointed. The restaurant located in a high rise of Montparnasse. When you arrive you will have to pass metal detector, because it's also offices in this building. For restaurant there is separate elevator. Very easy to navigate. Had amazing time with my mom as a last... night in Paris dinner with amazing view. Pre-set menu was only 74 eur and it has a good options like lobster bisque, foie gras, branzino and steak! I think for a place with such a view it's a good deal. We used to pay in simple cafes 50 eur pp with no view. We had a reservation in advance and I ask for a special "window table" for quest from USA (me lol) They were very nice and seated us promptly. We selected drinks and pre set menu. My foie gras pate was very good with fig jam (just what I expected) My mom took lobster bisque which was very good too. For entree I selected branzino and my mom chose steak. Both dishes were very good. After we finished our main course (it was around 8 pm) We got first Eiffel tower evening lightning. It was spectacular and very memorable! We got our desserts gelato and pavlova dessert, both were very good ! I think it's a great place for a spectacular view that you will not get anywhere else in Paris. More

We did the more expensive meal. Our food was good, our champagne glass was not very often left empty and the people tried very hard to speak English for us to understand. My only complaint is by sitting next to the window they have smaller... windows and old bumpers and it is hard to see from some seats. We had a partial obstructed view of tower but got to watch is sparkle twice. More

It was not a pleasant experience at all. When you make the reservation you can chose either a fixed menu or “open menu”. That’s what we chose. There was availability at 22 pm. We picked that and we went there having already eaten something. Anyway... we ordered a dessert and a full bottle of wine. The waiter first was hurrying us to pick the menu because the kitchen was closing (we went 22 pm because that was the availability then kitchen should be full open if they allow reservations at that time). After we ordered the dessert and the wine the waiter told us “this is a restaurant… you won’t order any main dish?”. I can understand the concept of a restaurant, but nowhere when making the reservation tells you that you have to eat a full menu mandatory. Again, we ordered a bottle of wine which of course was not cheap. I have lived in Paris and people are great except in this places where they expect tourists to take your money away. They can be so rude. And btw: the restaurant was empty. Not even that they were full crowded. Disappointing and would never ever recommend to anyone. They view can be ok but if the experience doesn’t come along with it, there are PLENTY of beautiful viewing spots in Paris. Not worth it. More

We thank the restaurant management and staff (and especially our server Afruza Rah) immensely for making our New Year’s night, our daughter’s 13th birthday (also on New Year’s Day) and last night in Paris a truly wonderful, memorable and beautiful celebration. We recommend the restaurant... highly for special events or just a casual date or family night out. We has made reservations online easily and reconfirmed a couple of times. The restaurant was amazing in accommodating all our requests – from dietary restrictions to special orders to most importantly, the best table at the restaurant at a window with a direct spectacular view of the Eifel Tower and city. Yes, the view was totally precious and unbeatable but the high quality of the food, wine, desserts and special attentive service made the entire combination of the experience most wonderful. As mentioned above, Arfuza was caring and responsive in every respect. The elegant charm of the room was captivating. If we lived in Paris, we could see ourselves holding many special occasions there. Again, thank you! See you next time. More

The view is beautiful. We asked for a table by the window but we were told it was reserved. They seem to sit everyone at the same time. You can order a la carte or with the pre-fixe menu. They have two pre-fixe menus. One... for $75 euro it comes with appetizer, main and dessert. The other is $138 and comes with appetizer,main, champagne and wine. Dessert is a la carte. We choose the more expensive one because we were celebrating our Anniversary. We were offered one champagne and one glass of wine. We asked 4 people before getting another glass of wine. Then they put the bottle on our table after we finished dinner and made some remark about Americans. The food was good but I would never get this pre-fixe again. Choose food a la carte or the cheaper version. You will not get any special treatment even though you are spending more than double the other patrons. Just beware the Lobster soup is cold. More

Made reservations for dinner menu and window table. Top floor of the tallest building in Paris. Restaurant interior is well decorated and elegant. Service was friendly and attentive. Food was good although a bit slow in coming out but it gave us more opportunity to... enjoy the incredible views of Paris and the beautiful lights through out the city. More

Embarquement immédiat pour un voyage jusqu'au 56ème étage de la tour Montparnasse, à 209 mètres d'altitude, où ce restaurant qui est le plus haut d'Europe vous attend dans un décor tout neuf et particulièrement agréable derrière une immense baie vitrée.  Déjà, rien que la vue sur la Tour Eiffel, comme sur Paris et ses monuments, mérite le détour... ce qui n'empêche pas la décoration de la salle à manger d'être très réussie.  !  

Le Ciel de Paris, un restaurant à plus de 200 m d'altitude 

Aussi, l'architecte d'intérieur Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance, a voulu créer un cadre à la mesure et à la hauteur de la situation exceptionnelle de ce restaurant, dans l'esprit « d'un salon suspendu, chic et pétillant, pour regarder Paris autrement. ».

Objectif atteint, avec un décor certes charmeur, mais qui sait presque se faire oublier pour que rien ne détourne le regard de la vue prodigieuse que l'on découvre au travers des grandes baies vitrées.  

Des couleurs douces, un plafond évocateur des bulles de champagne symboles de la fête, un joli bar-galet de couleur caramel ambré... tout contribue à cette atmosphère agréable, comme apaisée.  

Donc un choix qui permet (presque) à tout un chacun de festoyer à bon compte et qui devrait plaire même aux vrais parisiens. 

En tous cas, vous ferez un bon repas autour du fameux velouté du Ciel de Paris au corail d'oursin servi à la soupière (un « must » du chef), puis du filet de daurade royale en laque d'épices, légumes d'été confits ou du croustillant de pintade aux champignons et foie gras escorté de poireaux meunière, avant de conclure sur un exquis millefeuille croustillant à la pistache et aux framboises fraîches... service impeccablement courtois en prime !

Comptez une centaine d'euros hors boissons à la carte. Menus à 69 € et 138 € (de 30 à 39 € au déjeuner)

The staff, in general, were accommodating and friendly, with the exception of one young bartender, who although he professionally tried to hide his apparent disinterest in being there, clearly wanted to be somewhere else – but maybe he was just having a bad day. The ceiling of the bar/restaurant is covered with tiny points of light creating a starry sky effect and, following this theme, their drinks menu offers a range of astronomically named specialty cocktails (Eclipse, Jupiter, Orian, etc.) at 16 Euros each. They were all heavy on fruit juice, of which raspberry, orange and grapefruit were fresh – the rest of the larger selection, bottled. Although I didn’t try one of these, they seemed to be a popular choice as the majority of the cocktails I saw being made were these fancy and brightly colored concoctions. Many people were opting for non-alcoholic options of soft drinks and juices, which ranged from 8.50 to 9.50 Euros. Otherwise, the clientele seemed to be sticking strictly with champagne or wine. And, that’s probably what I’ll do on my next visit. While my martini wasn’t bad, this venue is more appropriate for a bit of bubbly.

I have heard that Ciel de Paris is a nice place to spend a good time because of the excellent service and delicious food. However, they should change the decoration.

Le Skybar rooftop, le plus haut bar à ciel ouvert de Paris

À tous ceux qui ont la tête dans les nuages et qui sont en quête de  rooftop , on vous a déniché un spot à la hauteur ! Pour le découvrir, il faut se rendre dans le 14e arrondissement de Paris , et pousser les portes de l' hôtel Pullman Paris Montparnasse , dans lequel on retrouve également le premier Umami burger d'Europe . Mais cette fois, il faut s'avancer vers un long couloir qui nous mène vers un mystérieux ascenseur. De là, on décolle pour le 32e étage... et c'est la surprise ! 

Notez qu'il n'y a plus de minimum de consommation à 50€ après 23h. La réservation est conseillée mais n'est plus obligatoire. 

Le Skybar , c'est un bar à l'esprit intimiste , qui nous surprend par son cadre à la fois brut et futuriste avec des murs recouverts de stalactites mises en relief par un éclairage bien étudié. C'est comme si on entrait dans une nouvelle dimension. Sur notre chemin, quelques fenêtres font le teasing de la vue imprenable qui nous attend : on traverse le ba r en passant devant le comptoir où s'agitent les shakers pour découvrir la terrasse-rooftop à ciel ouvert du Skybar .

C'est là, perchés à 115 mètres de haut , qu'une vue à couper le souffle vous attend. Un magnifique panorama sur la Ville Lumière , mais aussi sur sa tour Eiffel . Vous êtes ici dans le plus haut bar à ciel ouvert de la capitale et la vue est à la hauteur de nos attentes ! 

Mais le Skybar ne se repose pas sur les lauriers de ce beau panorama . Le rooftop nous dévoile également une cuisine fusion proposée entre 9€ pour des edamames et 30€ pour un bœuf wagyu à la truffe noire. Pour les amateurs de cocktails , les créations signatures proposées ici auront de quoi vous intriguer. Le soyeux, l'aérien, l'acidulé, ou encore l'effervescent, la carte a été imaginée selon des sensations. Le bonus ? Chacune de ces créations peut être déclinée dans une version sans alcool !

hi im slightly confused

we have reservations at the la ciel de paris restaurant so do we still have to pay the 14euro fee to go up in the lift ?

if not and we decide once there we want to see the panorama etc... do we have to go back downstairs and pay? or can we purchase a ticket at the restaurant ? thanks

No, you don't have to pay to go up the elevator to dine in the restaurant, but I'm not sure if you can buy a ticket at the restaurant to go up from there. I don't think the same elevator that serves the restaurant goes all the way to the observation deck.

Hmmm...I've been up to Le Ciel and the observation deck a number of times and always paid the fee to ride the elevator. If Le Ciel has a dedicated elevator, I don't know where it is. The elevator that takes you up to the observation deck and the indoor seating area on top of the tower dumps you out into a corridor from which you access the restaurant. At least that's been my experience; maybe something has changed in the past year or so.

We were there last Wednesday. You use the elevator to go up to the restaurant/56th floor. No-one asks for money at that point.

Because we were dining there, I didn't look for the roof access as we left the lift but when our meal ended I asked the waiter for a ticket for the roof. I had read that diners got a discount. We paid 7euros each.

The roof is huge and safely enclosed. Even though we had eaten at a window table with a great view, the roof was definitely worth visiting.

Then I stand corrected, probably because when I've gone up, the initial purpose was to access the roof deck and it was only an afterthought to go have a drink at Le Ciel.

I had breakfast there last year. We went in a different entrance than the entrance for the observation deck. I think it was the main entrance for people going to work, etc. There was no fee to ride the elevators.

Breakfast there is a nice idea. It's a simple breakfast - a hot drink (coffee, tea or hot chocolate), a juice (orange or grapefruit) and mini croissants and brioche. But it was an amazing view and definitely enough food for me.

This is good to know. We dined in the restaurant last week too, and were only looking for the elevator going to the restaurant, which had clear signage.

Does anyone know whether it is possible to reserve seats in the bar? We don't wish to eat in the restaurant, but we would simply like to go up for a drink around sunset.

I also would like to know the same, do you need to make a booking to go to the Champagne bar in July for drinks around sunset?

The champagne bar, when we were there last Sunday, was a stall serving champagne in plastic flutes with no bases. There is no where to sit and relax while enjoying the view and your drink. I really would not recommend it.

Trotz Tischreservation für 5 Personen nachträglich an 4-er Tisch versetzt. Wir hatten das teure Menu am Fenster gebucht für 5 Personen. Die asiatische Mitarbeiterin die uns an den Tisch platzierte verlangte dass wir den Tisch verlassen und setzte uns an einen 4-er Tisch, sehr unprofessionell.... Dafür kam kurze Zeit später eine asiatische Familie mit 2 Kleinkindern, diese bekamen den 6-er Tisch zu fünft. Das Essen war durchschnittlich für diesen Preis, mein Teller mit dem Hauptgang war kalt. Die Stühle sind wackelig und alt, das Restaurant bedarf einer Renovation. Das einzig positive ist die atemberaubende Aussicht, essen würde ich dort nicht mehr. Mehr

200 Meter über Paris zu dinieren ist sehr eindrücklich. Wenn dann noch das Essen ausgezeichnet und die Bedienung perfekt ist, dann wird es zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis. Mehr

Wir waren zum Frühstück dort. Lange Wartezeit bis zur Bestellung, obwohl es wenig Gäste hatte. Preis/Leistungsverhältnis unbefriedigend. Aber tolle Aussicht über Paris. Einziger Pluspunkt. Mehr

Sehr schöner Blick von der 56 Etagen über Paris.. Der Lift war schnell, aber nicht sehr gepflegt. Im Restaurant wurde ich freundlich platziert und saß in der vollen Sonne. Es gab keinen Sonnenschutz oder ein Platz im Schatten. Der Teppich war fleckig und alt. Das... Essen war nicht dem Preis entsprechend. Einen kleines Glas Bellini fand ich mit 19,- zu teuer. Positiv fand ich den kompetenten und freundlichen Service. Menu für 78,- kann ich nicht empfehlen Mehr

Die Aussicht aus dem Restaurant ist einfach unglaublich schön, direkt zum Eiffelturm. Das essen jedoch ist geschmacklos und der Preis ist überhaupt nicht gerechtfertigt. Würde Höchstens nochmal dorthin um etwas zu trinken aber bestimmt nie mehr zum essen.

Hierher kommt man (Schwerpunkt Touristen), um Paris auf Breitwandfenstern zu sehen und den Sonnenuntergang zu genießen. Das Essen hat zwar keinen Stern verdient war aber gut und der Nachtisch war ein Traum. Der Service wirkte teilweise sehr überfordert und gestresst, vergaß Dinge oder machte sie... falsch, war aber trotzdem freundlich. Ohne den Blick wären die Preise deutlich zu hoch für das, was man bekommt, aber wenn man ein Monopol auf diesen Eiffelturmblick hat, bekommt man die Hütte trotzdem voll. Viele Chinesen und Osteuropäer machen es möglich. Einheimische sind die Minderheit hier. Mehr

Wir waren - wohl wie die meisten anderen - vor allem aufgrund der Aussicht da. Diese war auch wirklich aussergewöhnlich und sehr lohnenswert. Wir waren im März 2022 mit der Familie im Restaurant. Grandiose Aussicht und sehr teure Menüs so kann man das Restaurant grob beschreiben. Es sollte der Abschluss einer Familien Reise gefeiert werden. Das Restaurant war bis auf den letzten Platz gefüllt, Mitarbeiter gestresst. Die Ausstattung... müsste erneuert werden und die Toiletten mal gründlich geputzt werden. Wenn ich die WC vor dem Essen besucht hätte wäre mir der Appetit vergangen, Stinkender Urin Geruch! Hier muss unbedingt was geschehen! Das Essen war ok aber das Menu Balcon (75 EUR für 3 Gänge) für das Preisleistungsverhälnis überteuert. Hallo Traveller Gestern waren wir zu viert (2 Erw, 2 Kids 10 & 14) im Ciel de Paris zum Dinner. Wie bereits meine Vorschreiber berichten - it’s because of the Location. Im 56. Stock des Montparnasse Tower hat man einen tollen Blick auf Paris by... night - wir hatten leider keinen Tisch am Fenster, aber easy - diesen Wunsch unbedingt äussern. Das Essen ist sehr fein! Die Bedienung und das ganze Drumherum sind absolut einem 390 Euro Abend nicht würdig - aber, ich hatte mich auf Grund der Bewertungen drauf eingstellt & wir haben den Event trotzdem genossen. Mäntel wurden nicht abgenommen, leere Softdrinks Flaschen der Kids standen den ganzen Abend am Tisch, Teller wurden lange nicht abgeräumt etc. - genau so wie es halt läuft, wenn der Service nicht professionell ist - bei einem Hauptgang-Preis von 68 Euro - Zähneknirsch. Meine Empfehlung - lasst euch vorher einen Tisch am Fenster bestätigen, erwartet nicht zu viel, shoppt zwei, drei Sachen weniger im La Fayette und macht das trotzdem, denn es ist ein cooles Erlebnis.
