Thirty Seconds To Mars announce huge world tour for 2024

Thirty Seconds To Mars have just announced a ton of shows across the globe for next year, in support of new album It’s The End Of The World But It’s A Beautiful Day.

Thirty Seconds To Mars announce huge world tour for 2024

Thirty Seconds To Mars have announced details of an extensive global tour across the UK, Europe, North America, South America, Australia and New Zealand.

In typical eccentric fashion, the announcement was marked by Jared Leto climbing the Empire State Building in New York City. “The building is a testament of all the things that can be done in the world if we put our minds to it," says Jared, "which is largely the inspiration behind our most recent album, It’s The End Of The World But It’s A Beautiful Day.”

The tour kicks off in March next year with a string of festival shows in South America, before heading to the UK for April and May, then on to a summer trek across North America, finally rounding off Down Under in September. Phew!

AFI , Poppy and KennyHoopla will be supporting on the U.S. jaunt, but supports are yet to be revealed for other dates.

THIRTY SECONDS TO MARS Announces ‘Seasons 2024 World Tour’

Go big or go home! Oscar-winning actor Jared Leto announced Thirty Seconds to Mars ’ monumental Seasons 2024 World Tour —while climbing from the Empire State Building in New York City. The extensive run across Latin America, Europe, North America, Australia, and New Zealand marks the band’s first headline tour in over 5 years. Full details on tour dates and ticketing information can be found below.

Leto, the band’s frontman, accomplished a historic feat as he completed the first ever climb of the Empire State Building. Having always been fascinated with the incredible landmark since he was a child, he said “The building is a testament of all the things that can be done in the world if we put our minds to it, which is largely the inspiration behind our most recent album, It’s The End Of The World But It’s A Beautiful Day.”  As an avid climber, the Empire State Building and the tour announcement carry the sentiment that anything is possible if we try.

The Empire State Building was recently rated the #1 attraction in the U.S. by Tripadvisor for the second consecutive year after a recent $165 million renovation of its legendary iconic Observatory.

The tour kicks off in Latin America with festival performances at Lollapalooza Chile, Argentina and Brazil along with Estéreo Picnic in Colombia and Tecate Pa’l Norte Festival in Mexico. The band then arrives in Europe for 28 shows in the UK, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Austria, France, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, and Portugal. The show then travels to North America where Mars will be joined by AFI along with support from Poppy and KennyHoopla across the 24 shows in major arenas and amphitheaters. Finally, the tour will conclude in Australia and New Zealand with four arena shows.

Multi-platinum selling artist Thirty Seconds to Mars, comprised of brothers Jared and Shannon Leto, makes a triumphant return with their sixth studio album, It’s The End Of The World But It’s A Beautiful Day , released September 15th via Concord Records . The album heralds a new era for the band, one that not only explores the darker sides of the human experience but the hope as well, an arresting reminder that even in the face of seemingly impossible obstacles, there is still beauty to be found in the world. Lead single, “Stuck” officially debuted at #1 on the Alternative radio chart and scored a top 10 hit in Italy, marking the fastest chart climb of the band’s career. Sitting in the top three of the German airplay charts, the tour’s namesake and current single, “Seasons” asks if we can accept change as we move through the many different seasons of life.

Good show overall. A few problems tho. We paid a lot of money for front row and were irritated Jared "invited" everybody to come down to the front, shoving us back against our seats. We were packed in like sardines with no way to exit. It was unbearably hot anyway (91 degrees and 60% humidity) and I thought I was going to faint. Thank God security saw the situation was becoming dangerous and starting telling people to go back to their own seats. Jared stupidly stopped in mid-song and started berating security personnel for disrupting his show! I know he wants to be the cool anti-hero and all but he needs to think about the safety of his fans before he speaks. If it had gone on there would have been some serious medical emergencies. Besides that, Jared is an entertaining performer even though the show is very predictable from night to night. Had the feel of Jared going through the motions like a finely oiled machine. No encores (as usual). Not as much fan interaction as there used to be back in the day. Jared didn't go into the audience on this night and Shannon seemed painfully uncomfortable when he had to sing. The stage looks really empty with just the two band members left. Three out of five stars. Not one of their better shows. May be time for this band to call it a day. They had a good run.

I saw Thirty Seconds to Mars yesterday at the This is Tomorrow Festival Newcastle Spillers Wilf.

The band had two supporting acts Don Broco whom I predict will be really big in future and the cute band the Marmozets who were interesting to watch live.

After those two taste bud wetting starters on to the delicious main course of Thirty Seconds to Mars; who played a mix of old material like Do or Die complete with Union Jack flag wave and City of Angles as well as a sprinkle of new material from their critic splitting fifth studio album America like Dangerous Night and the inspired Walk on Water.

Overall the band played a great set but some of their Thirty Seconds to Mars elements where missing like the fan favourite ballons due to the festival being outside. Jared and Shannon have just come back to this year Monolith Tour 2018 after taking a 2-week break.

Jared's voice was all stronger for being rested and Shannon easily got back into his drumming grove.

The band played a set of 11 songs overall. The festival was bussing and everyone had a good time. Jared and Shannon included a lot of audience participation in their show and allowed some members of the crowd on stage with them.

By the time the confetti cannons went off to the closing song 'Closer to the Edge', the crowd was roaring for the more and the band was pumped.

All in all it was great show; which allowed new talent to shine and Thirty Seconds to Mars to really get into a lush pumping grove just singing!

Seeing Thirty Seconds To Mars for the first time yesterday was a blast! Thanks to people I knew, I was able to get the full experience! The check in time was ideal because of the length of the meet and greet as well as soundcheck over running slightly. (Which was amazing) The meet and greet felt not too rushed but quick. Only because the time flew by. I’d say we had roughly an hour and a bit with them at the meet and greet. The Q&A was longer than most other concerts and they (Jared and Shannon) also treated us with Pizza!! The photo with the band was very quick but worth it. The hug I got from Shannon was amazing and Jared made a really nice remark to me by saying “Awwww how sweet!” After everyone’s photos were taken, I asked Reni (the head co-ordinator) if I could take a photo with Jamie (one of the people who works with MARS) and she alloud me to go over. Everyone is so nice. The meet and greet was over and the people who had soundcheck was told to go back to the seats where we sat for the M&G. After 5-10 mins they called us over. Managed to get a few cheeky photos and videos during soundcheck and luckily didn’t get caught as they weren’t aloud. I waved at Stevie and he gave me a lovely smile and thumbs up. Soundcheck over ran which was pretty good. Once soundcheck finished, we were given an hour to go get food, go to the toilet and buy merch (which was all optional). Reni told us where to meet and we did. The concert was supposed to start at 8:00pm but MARS were “fashionably late” and didn’t start the show until 9:00pm. All was amazing! Reni asked me and a few others to help throw the balloons into the crowed and warned us that we will get hit by them. And she was right, we did. Jared made us all have a 2 hour cardio work out as there were a lot of jumping involved. When Do or Die was played, Jared told everyone to get on each others shoulders. Even though I was side stage, I climbed onto my cousins shoulders. The downside was that the security told us to get down (probably for health and safety. After a few more songs, one of their new songs called Rider was played, at the end of the song, it looked as if the show has ended. I’d say quite a few hundred people left and a few mins later they started performing again. Loved how they played the full band version of The Kill but sad that Tomo wasn’t there so it didn’t make it all feel right. Finally it came to the last song, Closer to the Edge. Me and the few others who had the Up in The Air package were brought on stage and then the others brought from the crowed joined. It was really really fun. An adult decided to push through and force me to the back which I found really rude considering I was shorter then her and was there first. Another plus was that I watched back the live stream and saw me on there! If you asked other people, their experience would be different. In all honesty, how they act depends on what city they are in and how they are feeling. I’d totally recommend going to a MARS concert. There isn’t anything like it! It’s unique, engaging and down right awesome! It is definitely worth the £2000 in my opinion.

About thirty seconds to mars.

Thirty Seconds to Mars (commonly stylized as 30 Seconds to Mars) is an American rock band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 1998. The band consists of Jared Leto (lead vocals, guitar, bass, keyboards), Shannon Leto (drums, percussion) and Tomo Miličević (lead guitar, bass, violin, keyboards, other instruments). The band's debut album, 30 Seconds to Mars (2002), was produced by Bob Ezrin and released to positive reviews but only to limited commercial success. The band achieved worldwide fame with the release of their second album A Beautiful Lie (2005), which received multiple certifications all over the world, including platinum in the United States. Their next release, This Is War (2009), showed a dramatic evolution in the band's musical style, as they incorporated experimental music as well as eclectic influences. The recording process of the album was marked by a legal dispute with record label EMI that eventually became the subject of the documentary film Artifact (2012). Thirty Seconds to Mars then moved to Universal Music and released the fourth album, Love, Lust, Faith and Dreams (2013), to critical and commercial success. As of September 2014, the band had sold over 15 million albums worldwide. Thirty Seconds to Mars has consistently enjoyed sold out tours and numerous headlining festival slots. The band is noted for its energetic live performances and for fusing many music genres. They have been compared to the sounds of bands such as Pink Floyd, The Cure, Tool, and U2, for their philosophical and spiritual lyrics, concept albums and their use of experimental music. Thirty Seconds to Mars has received several awards and accolades throughout their career, including a Guinness World Record, and has been included in the Kerrang! list of best artists of the 2000s.

NEW YORK (AP) — Thirty Seconds to Mars is back with a new clutch of songs born from the pandemic and collected under a very long title. “It’s the End of the World But It’s a Beautiful Day” is exactly what it sounds like — optimistic, despite the doom.

“I really feel like it represents where we’re at as a planet, as a people,” says Jared Leto, who formed the band with his brother, Shannon. “You keep waiting for crazy to be over. But there’s just one more day. And sometimes it’s easy to forget that life is full of promise and hope and beauty.”

Despite its long title, the band’s sixth studio album is filled with shorter songs than usual and with a sound that tries to veer away from their typical anthemic, soaring sound.

“We’re not shy about things,” says Leto. “But this album was different. We really challenged ourselves to do as little as possible. We wanted there to be a focus on the vocal and really to allow what is there to be felt and heard.”

The resulting 11-track album is heavy on hooks, with lead single “Stuck” — a dancehall banger that Lady Gaga would be proud of — making the top 10 of Billboard’s Rock & Alternate Airplay and Alternative Airplay.

Thirty Seconds to Mars is back with a new clutch of songs born from the pandemic collected under a very long title. “It’s the End of the World But It’s a Beautiful Day” is exactly what it sounds like — optimistic, despite the doom. “I really feel like it represents where we’re at as a planet, as a people,” says Jared Leto, who formed the band with his brother Shannon. Leto spoke with The Associated Press’ Mark Kennedy in New York in this extended interview about finding inspiration, balancing acting and music — and what makes his band’s sixth album feel so significant.

“This is an important album for us. It feels like we’re a brand-new band, like we’re at the beginning again and that’s an exciting place to be on your sixth album,” says Leto.

“We’re really breaking new ground for ourselves creatively and going to places we haven’t been before. And I think a lot of people are going to be surprised.”

The music has offered the Oscar- and Golden Globe-winning Leto something to concentrate on as the actors’ strike drags on, which has silenced movie and TV shoots.

“I’m really grateful that I do have another outlet to share my creativity, and I share it with my brother. And that’s a really important thing for me,” says Leto. “I’m compelled to do both.”

He and Shannon began work on it early during the pandemic. Jared was in Nevada and California for lockdown and his brother was in Seattle. “My brother and I had a little distance, which is always good when you’re working on an album,” Jared jokes.

“Once we had finished every show that’s available to stream in every language — I think maybe it was around the “Tiger King” era, I’m not sure — but we decided to use that time to our advantage and get to work on a new album.”

The duo stockpiled a few hundred songs and whittled them down to the final 11, from the anguished torch song “Never Not Love You” to the encouraging “Get Up Kid.”

“Of course, they started off kind of dark and brooding songs about isolation and desperation. But as we started to come out of that time, the songs reflect those feelings, too, like hope and optimism.”

They got help on some tracks by writer-producers Monsters & Strangerz — on “Never Not Love You” and “Lost These Days” — Ed Sheeran and Snow Patrol’s Johnny McDaid — on “World On Fire” — and Dan Reynolds of Imagine Dragons on “Life Is Beautiful.”

“Other artists, they teach you things. They bring out different sides of yourself,” says Leto. “I would have started that much sooner had I known the reward that was there and the benefits and how fun and exciting that it could be.”

Leto is one of those rare artists who has succeeded in both movies and music — with two albums in the Top Ten of the Billboard 200 — and is not told to stay in his lane. This summer, Thirty Seconds to Mars played Lollapalooza alongside The 1975 and Kendrick Lamar.

“I think we’ve all gotten a little more forgiving of people kind of stepping into different lanes, exploring different avenues,” he says. “Maybe it’s a return to a time from the past where, you know, musicians were dancers and dancers sang and singers acted.” He adds: “It all comes from the same place.”

Leto has also softened his grip a bit on the band and its music. He says early on it was important for him to have control and to take ownership.

“But as I’ve gotten older, I’ve learned to relinquish some of that and share some of that and collaborate more and be open to other ideas and inspiration,” he says.

“What a privilege it is to make a sixth album. It’s incredible. I never thought we would make a single album. I never thought we would have a song on the radio. I never thought a single person would sing our songs at a concert.”

Event Details

Climbing from the Empire State Building in New York City, Oscar winning actor Jared Leto announced Thirty Seconds to Mars’ monumental Seasons 2024 World Tour — an extensive run across Latin America, UK, Europe, North America, Australia and New Zealand. This will be the band’s first headline tour in over 5 years.

Multi-platinum selling artist Thirty Seconds to Mars, comprised of brothers Jared and Shannon Leto, makes a triumphant return with their sixth studio album, It’s The End Of The World But It’s A Beautiful Day, released September 15th via Concord Records.

Third Eye Blind Concert Setlist Info

The Third Eye Blind song list expanded massively during 2023, when the band performed a series of intimate shows that saw the revival of live rarities like “London” from their 1997 self-titled debut and “Deep Inside of You” from its 1999 follow-up Blue . Meanwhile, the group’s road-tested cover of Joy Division’s “Disorder” was joined by unexpected takes on Beyoncé , Sinéad O’Connor and more.

Of course, 3EB still leaves room for the hits, including “Jumper,” “Semi-Charmed Life” and “Never Let You Go.” However, if their previous 2023 run is any sign, fans will likely need to stick around through the encore to hear all of the band’s most-anticipated singles.

Below, find an average Third Eye Blind setlist from their 2023 live show, and check back to see updated setlist information as soon as the 2024 Summer Gods Tour begins in June.
