Our aim is to provide you with more than just a segway tour, It’s to deliver a truly memorable experience. Our guides take you through varied and interesting trails with breathtaking scenery. You also have the benefit of visiting one of the most beautiful villages in the UK with free parking for pre-booked tours. On arrival you will be thoroughly familiarised with your Segway PT. After approximately 20 minutes of training you will embark on the Cartmel Tour, a guided scenic “glide” through the beautiful grounds that are the immediate surroundings of Cartmel Racecourse and its adjacent parkland. With the training and experience of the Cartmel tour already absorbed, the Adventure Tour explores less prepared routes within the Holker estate. It takes in more demanding terrain that will leave you exhilarated with the scenery as well as the Segway PT.

Scenic segway tours

There are three tours available. The ‘Cartmel Tour’ takes groups on a scenic route through pretty parkland to the edge of the Holker Estate and Cartmel Racecourse. The ‘Adventure Tour’ is better suited to advanced riders and follows off road paths through the forest. The challenging terrain really puts your skills to the test! The ‘Combined Tour’ offers a combination of the two.

At Lakeland Segway the tour groups are kept small to ensure everyone receives the help and guidance they need to master riding a segway safely! It’s relatively easy once you’ve got the hang of it and tuition will be given along the route to ensure riders know how to properly navigate the track, when faced with a hill or turn in the road.

A segway tour is a fantastic activity to try during your holiday in the Lake District. It is well suited to groups of all ages – the only requirement is that participants fit the weight criteria for safety reasons. This family friendly activity is a great option for families who are seeking an unconventional adrenaline activity

Our small group booked a Scottsdale Segway tour for a mid-week morning. Two people in our group had not used a Segway before, and did not know what to expect. It was great!
