Maps and Itineraries

Our guest's experiences (8).

Our family (2 adults, 2 kids - 6 & 10 years old) loved this cruise! The boat was well maintained and in good condition. The rooms were clean, tidy, comfortable, and had medium sizes. Food was excellent and plentiful in portions. A very nice trip for parents but not for kids, they got bored quite quickly! The attractions we visited were spectacular! Halong Bay was surely a must-visit destination in Vietnam!

Rooms were quite small but very beautiful and had everything we needed. The services were professional, but some staff should  improve their English pronunciation. Food was delicious, especially the BBQ, but breakfast had limited options. Excursions were fine to us, we had expected more time kayaking and swimming. Everything else was awesome!

The crew manager was very kind, hospitable, and always willing to help. Excellent food, clean and nice room, splendid bays, nice excursions, and fun activities. However, my room was a little bit small and I got bored sometimes in the evening as there were not many things to do. Would thoroughly recommend a 1-night tour to enjoy every moment of the trip!

Delightful vacation! The boat itself and cabin were beautiful with a lovely theme! I think the cave exploration was just fine but the highlight would definitely be a visit to a fishing village. It was so much fun and everyone there was really hospitable and lovely. Food was delicious and the wine list was diverse and luxurious. The price was a little bit high but the experiences were absolutely worth it!

Food and drinks so far have been fabulous! Staff were excellent and offered us superb services, thanks so much! The bbq on board was delicious and the boat ambiance was so nice and harmonious too! Some little downsides: no wifi; disturbing trash and plastic in Halong Bay. Overall, it was a nice trip!

Fantastic! We joined all the activities with the cruise - caving, kayaking, biking,... and we especially loved the cooking classes the most. It was so fun and also a great chance to socialize with other friendly guests. After dinner, we relaxed and listened to nice musical performances. There was no wifi on board though!

We really enjoyed our experiences with Ginger Cruise! We spent 2 nights here and had so much fun! The food was so delicious and specialized on Vietnamese cuisines and seafood. Our tour guide was friendly and informative. The cabin we stayed in was convenient and well appointed but a little bit small.

The boat itself was really lovely and cozy. Our room was better equipped than we had expected and it was definitely good for value with a nice private balcony & sitting area. Food was beautifully presented and its tastes were great but not remarkable. We had an amazing trip, especially the caves. A visit to a village was nice too but the bikes we used were not in good shape. We highly recommend this!

Review: Heritage Line Ginger Cruise in Lan Ha Bay

We recently had the pleasure of cruising through Lan Ha Bay with Heritage Line’s Ginger ship. Overall, the cruise was a refreshing escape from our busy lives with impressive scenery, a cozy atmosphere, and good service. No surprise it is regarded as one of the best cruises in Lan Ha Bay and Ha Long Bay areas. Here is our detailed review of the Heritage Line Ginger cruise.

a collage of scenery captured from a Lan Ha Bay cruise on Heritage Line's Ginger ship.

About Lan Ha Bay

Lan Ha Bay, under the jurisdiction of Hai Phong City, offers a remarkable landscape of limestone karst islands over emerald waters. The scenery is similar to its renowned neighbor, Ha Long Bay. The bay’s smaller size and fewer visitors make it an ideal destination for a more intimate experience. Hai Phong City is currently working with the government to ask UNESCO to extend the heritage title to include Lan Ha Bay area.

Update September 17th, 2023: UNESCO has extended the heritage title to include both Ha Long Bay and Cat Ba archipelago. Lan Ha Bay is part of Cat Ba archipelago.

Panoramic views of Lan Ha Bay.

You can find more detailed information about the bay, the best time to visit and other travel tips in my Lan Ha Bay guide . My family is from Hai Phong, and it was our first time visiting the bay on an overnight cruise in July 2023. We all think an overnight cruise in Lan Ha Bay is the best way to view it, and the experience is far superior to day tours.

We chose Heritage Line’s Ginger cruise ship since it was highly praised as the best cruise in Lan Ha Bay by a relative and a friend who both work in tourism in Vietnam. Heritage Line is a company known for its luxury cruises in Southeast Asia. Ginger is one of their vessels cruising in the scenic Lan Ha Bay. You can check the reviews of Heritage Line on TripAdvisor .

Arrival Process

Our family of 8, with 6 adults and 2 kids, started the trip from Hai Phong. After a 50-minute ride from Hai Phong to Tuan Chau via the highways, we arrived at Heritage Line’s small departure lounge at around 11:30 am. The setting resembled more of a kiosk than a lounge, but the staff did their best to make us comfortable by offering welcome drinks and towels .

After waiting until 11:55 due to a delay in obtaining clearance from the port authority, we boarded a small high-speed boat for a 15-minute ride to the Ginger ship. This transfer was necessary due to a regulatory conflict between Quang Ninh and Hai Phong that prevents cruise ships from departing directly from Tuan Chau Port to Lan Ha Bay.

high-speed boats at Tuan Chau dock.

Upon boarding the Ginger, we were greeted warmly with towels and refreshments from crew members. The interior decor of the ship exuded a charming Indochine vibe . Our family and another family of four from England were briefed on safety information in the main dining room on the third floor. After that, the staff led us to our cabins.

Accommodation

The Ginger boasts three types of suites – Signature Suites, Junior Suites, and Regent Suites. Our family reserved two Signature Suites and one Junior Suite, all of which have private balconies and 37 square meters of indoor space decorated in Indochine style.

Bedroom in Junior suite on Ginger Lan Ha Bay cruise.

While the suites have similar amenities, they have different color palettes and are located on different decks . Junior Suites are on the main deck, while Signature Suites are located on the upper deck, offering slightly more elevated and better views from the balconies. Additionally, being on the upper deck, Signature Suites have more convenient access to key amenities, such as the dining room and sun deck. Regardless of the suite type, all rooms were clean with ample space for both guests and their luggage, making for a comfortable and pleasant stay.

Our family, along with the other family, made up the guest list, occupying only 5 out of the 12 available cabins. As a result, we got to enjoy a quiet, intimate and exclusive atmosphere onboard.

We gathered in the main dining room on the third floor at 1 pm for lunch. The room was flooded with lights and its large glass windows provided a nearly 360-degree view of the bay . As the ship sailed toward Lan Ha Bay, we enjoyed a multi-course Vietnamese meal with a splendid view.

Dining room on Heritage Line Ginger cruise ship

Although the chicken herbal soup was delicious, the other dishes were just satisfactory. The portions were very generous though, and everyone was full at the end of the meal. The staff was very attentive and catered well to our needs, even offering free french fries to our young niece and nephew.

After lunch, Tung, the tour leader of the cruise, explained to us the afternoon activities as well as dinner arrangements. Each of us was given an a la carte menu to choose what we would like for dinner.

Afternoon Activities

After lunch, we spent 30 minutes on the sun deck relaxing and absorbing the views. Then we gathered again at 3 pm to visit Viet Hai Village on Cat Ba Island .

Scenery in Lan Ha Bay.

We were transferred to the small speed boat to go to the island. My last trip to Cat Ba Island was years ago when I was still in high school, and at that time I only visited the opposite side of the island. To this day, there are still no roads connecting Viet Hai Village to that other side of the island. People must use boats or ferries for transportation.

On the island, guests could choose to ride a bicycle or sit in an electric vehicle . The main roads for sightseeing in the village were constructed quite well, providing a smooth ride on the electric vehicle. My dad, who had been previously involved in some public infrastructure projects on the island, noted how much better the roads were now compared to not too long ago.

These roads were also suitable for cycling, and while there were some uphill parts, they were not overly challenging. My niece, who was 11 years old, loved her bicycle ride on the island.

group of people cycling in Viet Hai village on Cat Ba island.

We visited a local house that retained old Vietnamese village-style construction and learned about some traditional objects often found in old Vietnamese rural houses. Those may be interesting to foreign visitors.

As for me, the lush scenery of this part of Cat Ba Island was quite a delight. This enjoyable trip allowed us to appreciate Vietnamese rural life and the beauty of Cat Ba a little more.

View in Viet Hai Village Cat Ba Island

Leaving Viet Hai and the island, we stopped by a floating aquaculture site dedicated to breeding, studying and preserving grouper. We got to see some really huge groupers.

Dinner and Evening Activities

Back on the ship, the absence of internet encouraged us to unwind, relax, and talk to each other while watching Lan Ha Bay at dusk. Other cruise ships also moored in the same area for the night.

Lan Ha Bay when dusk falls.

Later, we engaged in the Vietnamese fried spring roll cooking class offered at 6:30 pm. With only two families onboard, the ambiance was very cozy and intimate.

The tour leader showed everyone how he prepared the spring roll filling, and then participants used the filling to make the rolls. My niece and nephew were eager to participate in the activity since they loved all types of spring rolls. Then the staff fried the rolls and plated them before handing out to every guest. The rolls were piping hot and delicious.

the instructor preparing spring roll filling in the cooking class.

Dinner was served at 7:30 pm, a bit late for older folks like my parents, and the kids as well. Same as lunch, the seafood soup was the standout dish of the meal and the dessert was the weakest part. Food portion was also very generous.

a bowl of seafood soup at dinner on Ginger Lan Ha Bay cruise.

Overall, the food was okay, but not very memorable. To be fair, we are a little picky about food, especially when it comes to Vietnamese food. I just thought it would be better if the cruise showed off more regional cuisines from Quang Ninh and Hai Phong areas, instead of offering dishes not native to Vietnam such as steak and salmon.

a plate with rice and assorted seafood including salmon and shrimp.

After dinner, the staff arranged for night squid fishing , which proved to be just a fun activity for the kids rather than a successful catch. We once tried squid fishing at night at Six Senses Ninh Van Bay in Nha Trang, and we already knew how difficult it was to catch one.

After a fun day full of activities and experiences, we eagerly returned to our cabin to prepare for a restful night’s sleep. Unfortunately, a neighboring boat was hosting loud entertainment that seemed to go on endlessly into the night.

By 10 pm, we went to see our tour leader, Tung. He quickly moved us to a cabin on the opposite side of the ship, which was quieter. He said there was no need to transfer our belongings, so the transition was super quick and seamless. We were able to sleep well in the quiet room with the comfortable bedding.

We were lucky that the cruise was not operating at full capacity, which allowed us to switch rooms to avoid the noise. I hope they will have noise regulations in the bay. Until then, we will avoid cruises with loud entertainment on the deck that disturbs the tranquil ambiance of the bay. We will also bring earplugs next time just in case.

Morning Activities

Sun deck on Ginger cruise ship.

The first activity in the morning was a Tai Chi lesson on the sun deck which we skipped since it was too early for us. We woke up to a serene scenery from the balcony and then had a light breakfast with bread and coffee.

After that, Long went kayaking with some other family members and the tour leader. He said the water was very calm, and they could get closer to the limestones while kayaking. Moreover, the weather was nice, and since it was early, there were no other kayakers around them, making the experience even more special. They also saw some fishermen and oyster farms.

a kayak in Lan Ha Bay.

Some of us remained onboard and enjoyed the view. It was actually quite mesmerizing . I was skeptical about the cruise at first because we had visited Ha Long Bay a few times since I was small but never liked it much. It felt much different on an overnight cruise with far more impressive views, cozier atmosphere and better service.

Brunch and Departure

At 9:30 am, we had a small brunch buffet with offerings like pho , cooked-to-order eggs, bacon, sausage, fried rice, noodles, cereals, and fruits. I wouldn’t say it was great, but there were sufficient choices for both kids and adults.

a bowl of chicken pho noodle soup on Ginger Lan Ha Bay cruise.

We disembarked Ginger at 10:40 am, and were transferred to the small boat and reached the welcome kiosk at 11 am. Everyone in the family had a great time, and we all felt like this was an experience we would gladly repeat.

This Lan Ha Bay cruise on Heritage Line’s Ginger ship exceeded my expectations with stunning views, an intimate atmosphere, and attentive service. It deserves the praise as one of the best luxury cruises in Lan Ha Bay and Ha Long Bay areas. All staff could speak English, and the tour leader was pretty fluent in English.

We enjoyed the scenery and most of the activities although one night still felt a little rushed. Next time, we will definitely try their 2-night itinerary which is held on Ylang ship.

In general, we totally recommend Heritage Line’s Lan Ha Bay cruises, especially if you are looking for a romantic getaway in Vietnam . Here are some additional travel tips :

  • The cruise has lower rates from May to September (you can check their rates and departures here ). Our cruise was in July, and it was hot and humid but not unbearable. However, during the low season, if not enough rooms are booked, they may cancel the cruise.
  • On the second day of the cruise, a tip box was set up in the dining room, which was quite convenient as it allowed us to show our appreciation for the hardworking servers, chefs, and other crew members without wondering who to tip. In addition, we also tipped the tour leader separately, as he had been exceptionally helpful throughout the entire trip.
  • We didn’t have internet connection for most of the time on the cruise even though there was wifi on board. Our phones still had signals to make calls, but LTE and wifi didn’t work. Therefore, you may want to bring a book, an e-reader, or some board games (such as Sushi Go! , Uno , Azul ). Here’s my list of what to pack for a cruise in Ha Long Bay and Lan Ha Bay .

Ginger Cruise

What an amazing experience we had on the Ginger Cruise. A must for all traveling to Vietnam. Staff are very friendly and very helpful and the food was delicious. They also had some great activities eg: visiting a village, cooking class

Magnificent cruise for 24 hours in absolute luxury. Filled with things to do for the entire time. Trip to an island village. Kayaking. Fishing for squid. Cooking. Beautiful spa for massage and wonderful food. But most importantly excellent staff. Highly recommended.

ginger cruise halong bay review

We spent the afternoon of Christmas Day and the morning of Boxing Day on the ‘Violet’ cruising around the karst outcrops of Halong Bay. What a marvellous way to spend Christmas! This also happened to be the last excursion of our trip to Vietnam and Cambodia, and was a suitable grand finale. I am led to believe that the Violet is the smallest of the three Heritage Line vessels in Halong Bay (the others being the ‘Ginger’ and the ‘Jasmine’) and is the most luxurious. The cabin (Phoenix, one of only six) was suitably luxurious. The quarters themselves were at the front of the upper deck with a balcony and separate bathroom. We left the mooring at Tuan Chau New Marina at about 12:30 to tour the bay. We were given a brief introductory talk about the programme of events and then we settled into our cabin. Lunch was served at about 13:30 and we spent the early part of the afternoon in our cabin. In the afternoon, two excursions had been arranged and these involved boarding the ‘Violet’s’ tender. The first was to Tien Ong Cave. This was a wide but shallow cave which showed signs of human habitation from about ten millennia ago and exhibited various geological formations. It was not of particular interest to me, but then I have been spoiled in terms of caves, having visited Carlsbad Caverns National Park in New Mexico for the second time recently. The second excursion was to the fishing village at Cua Van. Here, we toured the village in boats rowed by the local inhabitants with black kites (the bird, not the contraption flown on the end of a long string) flying overhead. We returned to the ‘Violet’. There was a demonstration by the chef of how to make spring rolls. We did not attend this as we know how to make spring rolls from my wife’s background. We just sat on our balcony. Later, we went to the small bar for drinks. My wife ordered a kir. This rather flummoxed the bartender who made it with Tia Maria rather than cassis! Never mind! Another member of staff was able to correct the error. Dinner was served a little later at about 19:30. We rose before 06:00 on Boxing Day as a misty morning was dawning. We were the first to reveille and we found a leak in a pipe was dripping onto the stairs leading to the dining area! (This was repaired whilst we were away on the morning’s excursion.) Coffee and pastries were served at 06:30. There was then a tai chi session on the main deck for those who wished to participate. Following that, there was an excursion to one of the karst outcrops and a climb up about 430 steps for a splendid view over the bay. It was good to get there early as hordes of visitors were ascending as we were descending. After that, it was back to the ‘Violet’ for breakfast. We needed to leave our room by about 09:30 in order to allow it to be prepared for the next guests, but that was no problem. The sun had burnt off the mist and it was pleasant being on the top deck cruising back to Tuan Chau where we disembarked at about 10:45. All-in-all, a great experience. I highly recommend it. All of the staff were friendly and uniformly excellent (the bartender won’t make kir with Tia Maria again, though!). The food was good and was quite sufficient to appease our appetites. The only minor point that I would make is that I thought that it would have been nice to raise the (admittedly cosmetic) sails to make the vessel look more like a junk as I know it (it really is just a standard boat), but never mind.

Many thanks to Ann and the staff of the Violet for a wonderful 3 days on board cruising around Halong Bay. Excursions were good and interesting. Food was excellent, the best we had on our 2 week trip. Comfortable cabin had floor to ceiling windows to enjoy the amazing scenery. The cruise was good but the staff on board made it special.

I spent 2 days on Jasmine cruise in december. The food was so delicious. The room was nice and comfortable. The staff are friendly. Special thanks to Ms Moon . She is a helpful person. Ha long bay is beautiful bay. We have enjoy time in here.

The true definition of luxury. Private and Access. The suite was massive with highest attention to details. Very nice design, clean and well taken care of. It definitely made me feel like I was traveling back through time. Breathtaking views. The food. Amazing. 5*. Open kitchen with an interesting show by the chef. The staff were incredibly helpful and professional. I love everyone of them. The activities are a bit too many but honestly, you can skip it at your own choice. I just wanted to see everything which was well worth it. I was at the dock looking at other cruises passing by and I'm pretty sure I got the best one. Thank you for such an amazing experience!

Heritage Line Ginger Cruise

Ginger Cruise boasts a stunning Indochinese-Vietnamese heritage theme paired with refined contemporary accents. The style interlaces long-lasting traditions of major regional elements which are displayed in the rooms and play key roles in Vietnamese sagas and poems, including landscape, botany and mythological birds. Ginger has only 12 spacious , natural light- flooded suites - all with wide panorama sliding glass doors opening onto a private balcony.

The vessel’s true uniqueness is her refined culinary attitude combined with a refreshing life-style component . Its terrace deck is a remarkable public area hosting an almost 360-degree light- flooded restaurant where live cooking is performed. Another exclusive facility is the adjacent pool, encircled by shaded cabanas and sun beds. Located in the stern of the ship, offering wonderful views of the bay through vitreous floor to ceiling frames, the spa area adds another state-of-the-art facility. Step aboard Ginger, your home while you explore one of nature’s wonders, Lan Ha Bay. The private atmosphere on board makes it feel almost like you have the whole vessel to your-self . Enjoy the vast space and homey feeling in your room, or head out to the pool deck and take in the blue hour with a sun-downer after some cycling around the jungle-like Cat Ba Island. You can also learn more about local cuisine and customs by joining a cooking class to find out how to strip down a fresh squid – be careful with the ink! But maybe nothing is more enjoyable on Ginger than balcony breakfast in close togetherness with your partner while the boat slowly sails back to the harbor passing thousands of karsts and small islands. Aboard Ginger , it is a matter of pride for us to present guests with very delicious cuisine. Made from fresh locally and internationally sourced ingredients , our Vietnamese and Western dishes will have guests eagerly coming back for seconds when we dish up our chef’s live cooked plates. Breakfasts can either be taken in the restaurant or at the AL-fresco area on the sun deck. The open live cooking area in the restaurant adds a defined culinary themed experience on board Ginger. Relaxation comes naturally with your Halong Bay Cruises , book today!

After meeting at Heritage Line’s welcome lounge at the Tuan Chau Marina, we take a quick speedboat transfer to your luxurious floating home before starting our unique journey of exploring one of the wonders of nature – Lan Ha Bay and its main island of Cat Ba. The first highlight of the cruise is lunch, which is served in the ship’s nearly 360-degree light-flooded restaurant. Our live cooking in the open kitchen (only aboard Heritage Line 'Ginger') is a one of a kind experience – enjoy the culinary display along with fantastic panoramic views of the passing scenery. Relax on the terrace deck or on your private balcony and soak in the enchanting aura which emanates from the surreal seascape. While we cruise along in the early afternoon, there is time to enjoy some unique facilities on board. Take a plunge in the pool with infinity-like vistas or get pampered with a selection of fine treatments and massages in spa area of the ship. As we reach the shore of a small lagoon on Cat Ba Island, we hop on bicycles (e-cart transfers are also available) for a leisure pedaling along small paved roads towards the Viet Hai village. Little has changed in Viet Hai since the ancestors of the 80 households settled here centuries ago. Situated in a valley within the Cat Ba National Park and surrounded on all sides by think forest and mountains, the locals are isolated from the island’s other villages and towns. The only access is via sea. The community is self-sufficient, as the residents provide for themselves by cultivating vegetables and fruits in the next door fields, growing rice of cause in the valley, and go fishing out in the bay. This is truly unique and authentic opportunity to meet local inhabitants and experience their local daily life. We have a glimpse of local households, see how they make medicine organically from a tree bark and we can also try various homemade liquors. Back on board, and during the time we set sail northbound again, our chef invitees for an interactive cooking class in the restaurant’s big open kitchen (or any other alternative onboard activity). Learn about local ingredients as well as the preparation of classic Vietnamese dishes. You are warmly invited to lend a hand. As the sun sets, we arrive at our tranquil anchor spot for the night. Kick bank and let reveal in your mind’s eye today’s adventures as night falls gently over the bay. After a delicious dinner, you may like to unwind at our bar with a digestif or watch a movie in the cinema which is set up in the dining area later on. Or join our team and have some fun fishing for squid before retiring to your room.

Wake up early and join our Tai Chi session on the terrace deck to ease your mind and muscles with the first rays of the sun touching the water. Coffee, tea and breakfast pastries await in the dining room to start the day. It is time for to lift anchors and continue with the cruise to a place called “Frog Lake”, a secluded area which is perfect for our energetic morning excursion. Go for a refreshing swim in the bay or explore this captivating marine landscape via kayak. The cliffs stretch vertically out of the water and you feel a sense of freedom while paddling through this labyrinth of jade-green water, rocks and vivid tree-topped islets. Back on board, we serve a hearty breakfast while cruising back to our off-shore embarkation spot, from where we transfer you back to the welcome lounge at the pier by your speed boat. Savour the last moments of this unique journey while relaxing on comfy sun beds on the terrace deck.

Reviews of Heritage Line Ginger Cruise - Ha Long and Lan Ha Bay from real guests

Agoda

Select your country

Show reviews that mention

Superior service, delicious food. Only 3* for cleanliness because there were some pesky flies in the main dining area. Bathroom of a deluxe suite (room with balcony) was huge for a cruise room - about the same size bathroom and level of luxury as a normal 4-star hotel.

Value for money”

It was a good experience for 2D1N from reception to sending off. The boat is small but it didn't feel rocking. Sunny was our guide and he was very helpful. Agoda should change pick up location to Tuan Châu island instead of the Bai Chay port

Excellent services as always”

I was allocated in Jasmine cruise instead of Ginger. That was excellent as always. I have stayed in several cruises in Halong bay because of my job and Jasmine was the best - the food, the design, the staffs etc. I was very happy and all my accompanies felt that, too. My room at the corner, quite near to the engine and at first, I was a bit concerned about the noise. But it is still quiet enough, I slept so well, indeed. The food, especially the BBQ dinner, was outstanding. The seafood was fresh, the pork ribs were marinated deliciously, pumpkin soup was so tasty etc. We traveled with a small kid and when we requested one more soup for him, the staff was very helpful and made it very quick without any further charge. The bathroom was remarkably spacious. There was no toothpaste and toothbrush. Just a small note that I should have been informed that I would stay in Jasmine cruise. My booking was Ginger cruise, but in the check-in, we were just moved into Jasmine without any notice or explanation. I knew they have similar standards. However, if I didn't know, it would be rather confused. The kayak service, 15$ per person extra, was a little bit more expensive than those I have stayed. Overall, this cruise is well met 4-star plus standards. If your budget is allowed, don't hesitate to pick Jasmine or Ginger cruise.

Wonderful Cruise!”

Firstly, this is the heritage line! it's legitimate and not one of the fakes - that said the pier is still hard to find if your transports not included because (like us) you've paid a cheapie rate. (Tell your can to go down the right leg of pier and turn right at the end) It departs from tuan chau and leaves at 12.30 - save you the research! Pro's: 4* cruise - without doubt a luxury cruise. Food incredible - 5 course set menus but they take dietary requirements into consideration. Beds are comfy, rooms are the size you would expect but nice big bathrooms help! Nice welcome and friendly staff. Excursions are much better on day 2/3 I would urge you to book 2/3 option. Cons: puddings are not up to the standard of the rest of the meal. There is a structure built for shade but when we travelled no cover on it....so no shade on the top deck, hopefully they will fix this! Drinks on board are disproportionately expensive - beer - 68k dong wine - cheapest bottle was 690k dong. Hanoi and 333 beers are provided in minibar in case you wanted to supplement ;) Overall it was wonderful, for the price we paid I couldn't fault it, if your getting a good deal - DO NOT HESITATE!!!

Ginger cruise ”

We stayed on the ginger cruise for 2 days and 1 and wished we had stayed for 3 days and 2 nights! The view on the deck and our room was mind blowing! The staff and entire service was amazing and we left really sad when we left the boat to continue our next leg! The rooms are up to standard and very clean and crisp. The food was splendid and we had some of the fish which was from the fishing floating market. The activities included were just right and my husband and I had a fantastic time. We would definitely recommend ginger cruise and this trip and looking forward to our next time on ha long bay and with ginger cruise!

Ginger Cruise 2 days

Day 1: hanoi - halong bay - lan ha bay.

08:00-08:30 Pick up at your hotel in Hanoi (extra transfer service can be booked in the next step).

Your luxurious floating home sets sail around noontime. Enjoy a welcome drink upon boarding while being acquainted with the facilities on board during the welcome briefing. We start our unique journey of exploring one of the new wonders of nature – Lan Ha Bay. We enjoy lunch in Ginger’s light-flooded dining room offering panoramic views of the passing scenery. Along the cruise we can see an ancient lighthouse, built by the French over 100 years ago. We head deeper and further south into the maze of Lan Ha Bay. Lan Ha Bay is actually a part of Halong Bay which was just recently opened to the public. Relax on the sun deck and soak in the aura of the fascinating scenery that emanates from the surreal seascape.

During this cruising time there is enough time to enjoy our onboard activities. Take a plunge in the pool or let us pamper you with a selection of fine treatments and massages in our large Lady Ginger spa. We reach the landing spot of Viet Hai Village on Cat Ba Island where we hop on bikes (electric car available) for an active tour along small paved roads towards a village nestled in a valley. Meet and greet local inhabitants doing their daily work, see their homes and the village school.

Back on board, our chef is ready and prepared for an interactive cooking class in the open kitchen at the restaurant. Learn about local ingredients, preparation and cooking of particular dishes to imitate easily at home. We arrive at a tranquil anchor spot for the night. A hidden place to reminisce on the day’s adventures and enjoy cocktails under the stars. Dinner is served in the dining room. You may like to hang out at our bar after with a digestif or pay a visit to the evening cinema which is set up in the dining area. Kick back with your favourite drink in probably the most unusual cinema you have ever visited. Or - have some fun with our team joining them for squid fishing before retiring to your room. Overnight on boat.

Day 2: HALONG BAY - HANOI

Wake up early and join our Tai Chi session on the sun deck to ease mind and muscles with the first rays of the sun touching the water.

Coffee, tea and breakfast pastries await you in the dining room to start the new day. Ginger anchors up and we cruise to Frog Lake, a secluded spot which is perfect for our morning excursion. In kayaks or swimming we enjoy a close encounter and discovery of the bay. Paddling through the dreamlike landscape with tree-topped islands, you will feel a sense of freedom and harmony with nature that you have never experienced before.

Back on board a hearty breakfast is served in the dining room as we cruise back to the pier where we arrive around 11 o’clock in the morning. Savor the last cruise moments of this unique journey relaxing on comfy sun beds on the terrace deck. We hope you enjoyed cruising with us in the Hidden World of Lan Ha Bay. End of the cruise at noon and transfer back to Hanoi.  16:00-16:30  Arrive to Hanoi and drop off at your hotel. End of the trip.

Ginger Cruise 3 days

08:00-08:30 Pick up at your hotel in Hanoi (extra transfer service can be booked in the next step). Your luxurious floating home sets sail around noontime. We greet you with a refreshing welcome drink upon boarding while we acquaint you with the facilities and procedures of our Heritage Line ship - Ylang. As our unique journey begins, lunch is served in the brilliant dining room on the terrace deck offering panoramic views of the passing scenery. We pass an ancient lighthouse built by the French more than a century ago. While heading deeper and further south into the maze of Lan Ha Bay, you can enjoy the activities offered onboard - take a plunge in the pool, have a taste of our signature beverages at the bar, or settle into relaxing bliss with a fine treatment or massage available in our expansive Ylang Spa. Our first anchorage spot is a local pier at southern Cat Ba Island which is the entry point for a visit to a charming village named “Viet Hai”. We hop on bicycles (or electric cars) for a scenic exploration along small paved pathways, which meander through the lush tropical forest towards the village nestled in the valley. Meet and interact with the local inhabitants doing their daily work around their homes or gardens and get to know the life of this remote area where time seems to stand still. Back on board, we set sail to at a tranquil place for our overnight mooring. Our chef will serve a multi-course dinner and afterwards you may join fellow passengers for a movie night in the dining room or join our crew fishing for squids. Perhaps you might want to take a seat under the stars on the terrace deck or your private balcony to embrace the serenity of this surreal landscape. For those who like to fully immerse themselves in relaxation, our spa is open till late. Overnigth on boat.

Day 2: LAN HA BAY - CAT BA ISLAND

For those who wake with the sun, coffee, tea, and pastries are offered. To get the full wellness experience from Ylang, a Tai Chi session is held on the sun deck to ease mind and muscles with the first rays of daylight. Otherwise, you can sign up for a guided yoga class in our dedicated yoga room. Once energized, breakfast is served in the dining room or in your suite before we set off to visit one of the few remaining local floating fishing villages. Get a close up view of how the families live and work on the water in their unique community. We continue to the shore and travel a short distance along scenic island roads to Cat Ba National Park. A leisurely hiking tour brings you close to the elements of this lush national park with its jungle nature. Learn more about the endemic flora and fauna and the island itself as Northern Vietnam’s largest island in the Gulf of Tonkin. During lunch, Ylang continues to sail through the bay to a secluded cove. The afternoon is free to choose from: you may like to swim and sunbath on a natural beach, or join a kayak tour – or a bit of both, or just kick-back on board and treat yourself to our wide selection of wellness offerings. After dinner feel free to join a Q&A session with interesting insights about both Lan Ha Bay and Halong Bay or simply kickback on your private balcony experiencing its natural splendor. Overnight on boat.

Day 3: HALONG BAY - HANOI

Start early again with a tasty traditional Vietnamese coffee, of which we hope will become part of your future morning routine to remember this special place on earth. Join for another open air session of Tai Chi or take part in some Yoga indoors. Ylang moors this morning, offering our guests some time to kayak or a refreshing early morning swim from the ships convenient platform. Take these final moments to fully merge with the scenery of the bay before Ylang gently glides back to its harbor. Whilst we pass back through Lan Hay Bay towards the pier, we serve a hearty breakfast, and leave you time to relax on the deck day-dreaming before we have to say our final goodbyes.  End of the cruise at noon and transfer back to Hanoi.  16:00-16:30  Arrive to Hanoi and drop off at your hotel. End of the trip.

  5.0 - Excellent

We loved this cruise. The boat and cabin were furnished to a very high standard which made the trip even more pleasurable after a busy week of travelling in Shanghai and Hanoi. The staff were very helpful, the food was fabulous with the choice to opt in or out of the planned activities and excursions. The only negative (which is not directed at the Ginger Cruise) was the amount of plastic in the water throughout the trip. This area is a world heritage site and it’s such a shame that the water is being so heavily polluted. Whilst we were on our canoe trip we gathered up plastic and dropped it back to the boat....every little helps.

Snoqualamie Snoqualmie, Washington

Our trip planner recommended the Heritage Line Ginger Cruise. She was correct. It is far smaller and a bit faster than most of the lines (12 cabins). It was a 5 star experience all the way. Cooking class, Bicycle ride. Kayaking, Tai Chi and gourmet dining. May be a bit pricey but well worth it, The room was large and rivaled the best hotels. We went for one night and if we were to do it again we might have gone for two. We went in March and it was cooler than we expected.

shikhasethi Mumbai (Bombay), Ấn Độ

We booked through Kim at Buffalo Tours, and on arrival were upgraded to a Signature Suite (on the upper deck) since it was our honeymoon, which was lovely, with its own little balcony from which to enjoy the stunning views. The staff had also decorated our room with rose petals and left us a bottle of sparkling wine which was a very sweet gesture on their part :) Their are only 12 cabins on board, so the setting is quite intimate and you don't really feel like you're part of a massy group tour.  1) We were very happy that we chose to do the cruise in Lan Ha bay, which was tranquil and peaceful with far fewer boats than Halong Bay - having tens of boats around us would have ruined the experience! The scenery is beautiful! 2) We enjoyed all the activities on board - especially the cooking demonstration, the kayaking and the Top Gear Vietnam Special screening that they had at night. 3) The cruise boat itself is very tasteful, and well appointed. The engine was super silent, so we just glided through the bay. There was plenty of light and space in the rooms and on the dek! 4) The food was exceptional! We really enjoyed the flavours, the freshness of the ingredients, the beautiful plating and presentation. After a couple of days of street food, it was lovely to have the choice to eat chicken and seafood (instead of just beef and pork, which I don't eat.) 5) Our experience was made all the more special thanks to the warmth of the staff - massive shoutout to Mr Big and Mini Me, who were so soft-spoken, helpful and gentle, making sure everyone on board was well looked after. The hospitality we enjoyed on the cruise was one of the trip's highlights. Would highly recommend this cruis

Today, all guests will embark on our day boat - the Sunset. You will cruise to the Bay’s more untouched areas, deep in Lan Ha Bay . Take a light bike ride along the coast line of Cat Ba, through the rain forest to the Viet Hai village. A fantastic way to get in touch with the nature of the biggest Halong Bay Island . Please read below the options of this day:

A. If weather conditions are good:

In the morning, the Sunset crew welcomes all guests from Ginger, Jasmine and Violet. Breakfast is served in the cozy restaurant while the Sunset moves deeper into Halong Bay straight to Cat Ba Island . The nature is simply marvelous in this area of the Bay.

We arrive at Viet Hai dock and take a leisurely bicycle ride along the water front, passing forests and a stone tunnel on the way to the Viet Hai Village. If one does not want to travel by bicycle they may ride the back of a motorbike or travel by electric car. We explore the village with its traditional houses and its residents.

Guests can take a short walk to the surrounding jungle. The journey continues to the local primary school (Heritage Line supports this school with teaching equipment). A memorable way of interacting with the children in the classroom is to become their substitute teacher or sing along with the kids - if you dare.

After this, guests head back to the dock and board the junk. The cruise continues unhurried to the Bat Cave. During this slow trundle, lunch is served. At the Bat Cave guests kayak through water tunnels and close to stunning rocks and islets.

This beautiful lagoon allows as well to jump from the boat for a refreshing swim. Back on board take your seat or sunbed on the sun deck and simply dive into the nature on the way back to your mother junk for your second night.

B. If weather conditions are not ideal (strong waves prohibit cruising to Viet Hai Village)

In the morning, the Sunset crew welcomes all guests from Ginger, Jasmine and Violet. Breakfast is served in the cozy restaurant while the Sunset moves to the bat Cave. Although the weather might not be that suitable still the Bay offers mysterious views and photo opportunities from the sun deck.

At the Bat Cave guests kayak through water tunnels and close to stunning rocks and islets. This beautiful lagoon allows as well to jump from the boat for a refreshing swim.

The cruise continues unhurried to the Pearl Village. During this slow trundle, lunch is served.

At the Pearl Village there are fish farms for viewing and an operating pearl farm and pearl processing factory. The guests will be guided through the process which results in the final product. There is also a pearl jewelry showroom.

After the tour there is opportunity for swimming from the boat before heading out. Back on board take your seat or sunbed on the sun deck and simply dive into the nature on the way back to your mother junk for your second night.

Preparation and inclusions on this day:

Biking helmet, First aid kit, durable shoes, water bottle during cycling, rain coats in case of light showers, ( in the event of heavy rain, biking will be cancelled), kayaks/paddles and life jackets.

For early risers complimentary tea, coffee and pastries are served in the restaurant followed by-if you so desire - a Tai Chi Class on the sun deck ( 7.00h ). A great morning activity to feel one with this natural wonder.

Then it is time for an early morning swim - in the Bay. By tender boat we bring the guests to a natural white sandy stretch of a beach. Sporty ones can also climb up to a hill top to have a last view from above over Halong Bay before we return to the boat and cruise slowly back to Halong City, passing picturesque areas like the Tam Cung Cave and Poem Mountain .

Is Halong Bay worth visiting? Want an honest Halong Bay cruise review?

The Halong Bay cruise price can be pretty steep – compared to the cheap travel costs of the rest of Vietnam. So is Halong Bay worth it ? That’s a legit question and I will share my experience and honest review of Halong Bay cruises in this post.

But if you have no time to read the in-depth evaluation and want a quick answer to your question on whether you should visit Halong Bay, here it is:

Halong Bay is worth a visit if you visit the less touristy areas in Halong Bay and opt for a budget-friendly Halong Bay cruise – one that provides excellent service, packs a tourist-friendly Halong Bay itinerary, and serves great food.

In other words, I feel splurging on a luxury 3-day Halong Bay cruise may not feel worth it, especially if you have been to other areas in Vietnam such as Ninh Binh which are scenic and much cheaper. But a 2-day 1 night – overnight Halong Bay cruise would feel worth your time and money if you choose a high-end cruise.

In this article, I would – share my personal experience of the Halong Bay cruise and what to expect on a Halong Bay cruise – talk about ways in which you could ensure that your Halong Bay experience feels worth it – suggest which cruise to opt for and how much to spend on a Halong Bay cruise – discuss a few strong negatives of Halong Bay that could ruin your Halong Bay journey and – elaborate on what you should do to avoid these Halong Bay mistakes.

Read through everything to get the best understanding for your trip or jump to a section of your choice from the Table of Contents below.

What is Halong Bay?

Halong Bay Beauty - What is it?

Halong Bay has been recognized as a UNESCO Natural Heritage Site . It is a unique area with about 1600 small islands and islets. But what makes Halong bay beautiful is its lovely emerald water and countless limestone pillars. The seascape at Halong Bay is truly unique and a sight to behold.

It is one of the most Instagrammed spots in all of Vietnam and a famous tourist destination. As a result, you will find plenty of small and big sea ships and cruises spread out all across the Halong Bay region.

Day trips to Halong Bay or overnight cruises to Halong Bay are the most popular ways of exploring this scenic region. But some travel enthusiasts go on longer trips i.e take a 3-day Halong Bay cruise or even a 4-day cruise to Halong Bay.

Is Halong Bay Worth Visiting? My Honest Experience

Is Halong Bay worth visiting

When people ask whether Halong Bay is worth it, what they are often wondering is – is Halong Bay Cruise worth it? As that is an expense that carries a lofty price tag and needs careful evaluation. So let me share my experience with you.

We had booked a 2 day 1 night overnight Halong Bay Cruise. We chose Le Theatre Cruises .

I have made a video detailing my full experience onboard the Le Theatre Cruises which you can see here.

But if you prefer to read, let’s continue:

So Le Theatre Cruises runs over Lan Ha Bay – which is Halong Bay’s less commercial neighbor. It is as scenic as Halong Bay but is visited by much fewer tourists.

Scenic beauty and sightseeing During our time on the cruise, we did everything that most Halong Bay itineraries offer, but in a different, less touristy area. Our Lan Ha Bay sightseeing included visiting the Ao Ech area around Lan Ha Bay. We went kayaking here and were also allowed to swim.

Caves at Lan Ha Bay

The next morning we also visited the dark and bright cave . The bamboo boat journey was refreshing, calming, and one-of-a-kind. The color of the water was the perfect emerald and the water was clean almost everywhere.

In addition to this, we were always surrounded by the most breathtaking seascape decorated with so many different and unique limestone pillars.

The scenic beauty was truly enchanting and far superior in person to what it looked like in the many photos and videos of the place that I had seen before going to Vietnam.

Cruise experience – food, room, service, etc.

Deck at Halong Bay cruise

We were visiting Halong Bay with a kid and were not sure how much our kid would like the experience. But the staff took excellent care of her food preferences. They even arranged a three-person kayak to ensure she could enjoy the experience with us.

The food served onboard was top-notch. Our dietary restrictions and allergies were taken care of and we still felt spoilt with choices. The happy hour at the sundeck on our Lan Ha Bay cruise was personally my most favorite time.

We were surrounded by outstanding natural beauty and having drinks against the backdrop of a setting sun, grooving to excellent music, and hanging out with a bunch of jolly co-passengers.

The executive suite in which we stayed further enhanced our Halong Bay experience as it came with a balcony, a fancy bathtub, a plush Japanese toilet, and all the necessary amenities.

Overall, at least for us, Le Theatre Cruise proved to be a wise choice.

How to make sure your Halong Bay Experience feels worth it?

Based on my personal experience, I definitely think that Halong Bay is worth visiting. But there are so many elements that could go wrong and ruin your experience as well as make you question your spending.

So to ensure that your Halong bay trip feels worth it and is memorable, take the following factors into consideration.

Visit Halong Bay When the Weather’s Ideal

ginger cruise halong bay review

The weather has a huge role to play in deciding whether Halong Bay is worth it or not.

If you visit when it’s pouring or terribly cloudy, you wouldn’t end up liking Halong Bay much. You’d barely be able to see the limestone pillars or the many hues of the sky at sunset.

Your outdoor activities like visits to the cave, beach, or kayaking may also be canceled due to poor weather.

The best time to visit Halong Bay is between late November and February when the weather is dry and pleasant.

The months between March to May are dry but unpleasant because of the hot and humid weather.

Even in the winter dry months, unexpected rain could dampen your experience. If you have flexibility in your itinerary, book a Halong Bay tour online just a couple of days in advance based on weather predictions.

I recommend this 2-day 2 night tour for its-cheap price tag and almost 5-star ratings (Perfect for last minute booking)

Ensure that the Halong Bay Itinerary is diverse and engaging

Kayaking at Halong Bay

An ideal Halong Bay itinerary must include a mix of cruise time, Halong Bay sightseeing, and fun activities.

See if your sightseeing in Halong Bay includes at least a few items from the below

  • A visit to one of the many Halong Bay beaches
  • A visit to one of the caves like the Luon Cave, Bright Cave, Dark and Light Cave, Surprise Cave
  • A trip to Cat Ba Island and National Park
  • Island hopping at Titop Island, Cong Do, Tuan Chau, etc.
  • Visit to the fishing village or pearl farming

Also, make sure there is enough interaction with the locals on your Halong Bay outings – this could be in the form of a visit to the fishing village, taking a ride with a local on a Bamboo boat, etc.

In addition to this, there should be ample cruise time. Ensure that your cruise time includes fun activities like a cooking class, squid fishing, tai chi sessions, etc.

Going on a Halong bay cruise that provides a good mix of sightseeing and onboard activities is important to get the best value for your money.

Choose the right Halong Bay cruise

ginger cruise halong bay review

This factor is critical in determining your overall experience.

The more you pay, the more the cruise needs to offer for you to find value in your Halong Bay excursion.

But unfortunately, my research has shown that most cruises deliver a very similar Halong Bay sightseeing plan. So whether you opt for a budget Halong Bay cruise or a luxury Halong Bay cruise – the itinerary would be fairly diverse. It would take you to a beach or a cave, show you a few islands, allow you some free swimming or kayaking time and tie it up with a few onboard activities like cooking and fishing.

The real differentiator in price is based on the quality of the cruise, the rooms, the onboard amenities, and the overall service.

Thus, if you don’t really plan to spend a whole lot of time indoors in your room, it doesn’t make sense to pay a few hundred dollars more just for a fancy suite. It would only result in disappointment.

ginger cruise halong bay review

Some factors that you should consider when choosing your cruise if you want Halong Bay to feel worth it are

– the newness of the cruise – there are many old cruises in bad shape that are doing the rounds of Halong Bay. Passengers feel ripped off as the worn-out condition of the rooms and the cruise ship just do not justify the steep pricing. Some new cruises in the bay are Peone Cruises , Orchid Trendy Cruises , Stellar of the Seas Cruise (9.5+ rating!)

– the in-room amenities – a bathtub and a balcony are a must to soak in the magnificent views. Some cruises which provide these options are Le Theatre Cruises (where I stayed), Stellar of the Seas Cruise .

2 night 3 day cruises that require you to spend more time onboard should have a swimming pool, a jacuzzi, or a spa. Le Theatre didn’t have this and I would probably not choose it for its 2-night 3-day package. But Stellar of the Seas Cruise is equipped with a stunning outdoor pool. Likewise, the luxury Ambassador Cruises offers excellent in-house spa treatments.

– Cruise equipment and staff – the cruise should be well-equipped i.e. they should have proper snorkeling or kayaking gear. Its kitchen should be able to cater to the dietary preferences of all of its passengers. The staff should be able to communicate with and understand the tourists’ language and needs.

– Moderate number of cabins – The number of cabins should be between 15-30. Bigger cruises take large crowds with them wherever they go. This means you hardly get to see the pristine beauty of Halong Bay islands and caves.

– Pick up and drop off in a limousine – To be honest, the price of a Halong Bay cruise is about 2-3 times that of luxury accommodation in Hanoi and so any fancy perks included in the Halong Bay package only enhance the overall experience. A limousine pick-up and drop-off make the 3-hour journey from Hanoi and back remarkably pleasant. You don’t feel fatigued and can easily take an onward flight, train, or trip to other parts of Vietnam or you can start Hanoi sightseeing without needing any extra time to rest from the long cruise. Cruises that offer limousine pick-up and drop-off are Ambassador Cruises , Stellar of the Seas Cruise as well as Le Theatre Cruise . Book directly through them and not an agent for this facility.

Go on a day trip to Halong Bay

Halong Bay cruise experience - how to choose a Halong Bay cruise

If you are on a tight budget and want to make sure that your trip to Halong Bay feels worth it, opt for a day trip. A day trip to Halong Bay can cost as low as USD 50 which is usually less than one-third the cost of an overnight Halong Bay cruise.

A day trip Halong Bay itinerary is packed with tourist delights.

  • fall in love with the limestone pillars seen on your day cruise
  • go kayaking, swimming, or snorkeling
  • explore one of the many beautiful caves
  • check out how pearl farming is carried out
  • have a gala time at an islet or a beach

The Halong Bay day trip package usually includes pick-up and drop from Hanoi allowing a seamless journey. Eat a lavish lunch and pamper yourself with cookies and tea – both of which are complimentary inclusions in your day tour to Halong Bay.

I think it would be hard to not find Halong Bay worth visiting if you explore it on a day trip. The day trip packs most of the inclusions of an overnight trip but at a much cheaper price tag.

I recommend this Halong Bay Day Trip for its affordable price

Halong Bay Alternatives – And when should you consider these?

As I have said earlier, Halong Bay is absolutely worth visiting and it doesn’t make sense to consider skipping it or looking for alternatives. But the options suggested below are places close to or similar to Halong Bay but far less touristy or expensive.

So if budget, overtourism, weather, commute, etc are a concern for you, consider the options below.

Bai Tu Long Bay

Located just to the northeast of Halong Bay, Bai Tu Long Bay is a quieter and less touristy alternative. It offers similar stunning landscapes of limestone cliffs and emerald waters but with a more tranquil atmosphere.

It is an absolute hit amongst tourists for its spectacular, clean, unperturbed beaches.

There are daily boats available to Bai Tu Long Bay from Halong Bay – perfect for a day trip.

Cat Ba Island

This is the largest island in Halong Bay and offers a more laid-back vibe than the bustling Halong Bay area.  There is plenty to do here for tourists including exploring the national park, hiking through its hidden trails, visiting the fishing village inside the National Park.

In fact, many 2 night 3 days Halong bay cruise itineraries include a visit to Cat Ba Island. But you can visit it on a day trip by a direct ferry from Halong Bay.

This region is known as the “Halong Bay on land” due to its towering limestone karsts and winding rivers.

Take a paddle boat tour through Tam Con or Trang An and spend any extra time visiting the local temples, and pagodas or hiking through its scenic routes. Many tourists, in fact, like Ninh Binh more than Halong Bay as they find it more charming and less touristy.

This mountain town is located in the Hoang Lien Son range and is known for its stunning rice terraces and cultural diversity. You can hike through the surrounding hills and valleys, meet local ethnic minorities, and soak in the area’s natural beauty. Visit the Silver Waterfall along with the numerous other waterfalls dotting this area.

TOP TRAVEL RESOURCES

Here is a list of our favorite travel resources- the ones that I absolutely swear by when planning almost every trip. Go through this list to plan a hassle-free trip and save a lot of money!

Flight Booking: Check the availability of tickets, the best time to fly, and the cheapest fares on Skyscanner . You may also find a cheap flight via CheapOair

Accommodation: I absolutely love booking through Agoda . In most countries and particularly in Asia, I often find the best fares on Agoda. But I also love the no prepayment and no cancellation fee policy of Booking.com . For cheap accommodations and hostels, nothing beats Hostelworld .

Car Rentals: You may find and rent an appropriate car via RentalCars . It’s hassle-free and reliable.

Guided Tours: I absolutely love GetYourGuide for local sightseeing tours, walking tours, history tours, and food tours. The booking process is seamless, and the tours are super affordable. But in Asian countries, I prefer Viator or Klook for their affordably priced tours.

Lounge Access : Get Priority Pass – my personal favorite card that gives me unlimited access to premium airport lounges all over the world
