The Green Umbrella Tour! - Excellent

We had a friend recommend the "Green Umbrella Tour". We went to the square where they meet and enjoyed the activity in the square until we found them. We talked to them and signed up! Once we had a group, the guide led us to the area where we actually started the tour. This is where we met our guide, James. He is fantastic! He has a vast knowledge of Prague and has a great sense of humor also! We ended up taking two more "Good Prague Tours" that day. The Castle and the Beer tour. All were above and beyond our expectations! I would highly recommend this company!

Thank you very much Ruthie L. for your kind words! We also must give you a credit for doing 3 tours in one day! That is amazing! During the day getting to know about the history (Free Tour and Castle Tour) and in the evening discovering the soul of the City and it's people, the beer :) Regards,

Lucie was the best walking tour guide! She provided lots of knowledge and interesting facts about Prague, it's buildings and culture as we walked around the city. There were endless laughs and super helpful tips on where to go and where not to go. Thanks again Lucie!

We are thrilled you enjoyed your tour with Lucie! We hope to see you back soon!

We went as a group of 4 to the free walking tour and had Kamil as our guide. He was absolutely fantastic, so much so we bought tickets for the communism tour that took place the next day. His passion for history and politics really shone through in his tour and he keeps it constantly interesting. The walking tour is an absolute must to see the sights in the city and learn about the nuances of it. The communism tour (which only cost £11 for about a 4 hour tour) was perhaps even better because you get taken down into an old Soviet nuclear bunker and see their old weapons. Would highly recommend and if possible try to get Kamil as your guide!

Sean was our guide and he was awesome. He was very knowledgable and funny. He went at a great pace and was very easy to understand. Thanks for a great tour!

Thank you mmichalke for you review. We hope to have you again our tours soon!

We had Vaclav for both the free walking tour and the Kutna Hora Tour and both were excellent! Very knowledgeable about the city and very funny too. I Would recommend doing the walking tour on your first day in the city- not only do you get a good overview of the sights and great historical events and stories, but he suggests good places to eat and exchange money without getting ripped off. Don't forget to tip theses guys...if you enjoy the tour it shouldn't be free! Kutna Hora was better than expected, if you have the time I would definitely recommend. The city has a fascinating history and some quite lovely views. Again, Vaclav was a great guide and I think even someone who isn't into history would've enjoyed this outing.

Thank you Lisa K. for you kind words. Our mission is to convert everyone into "history freaks" at the end of the tour and it's great to hear that Václav is successful! Regards!

The tour takes about 2,5 ours and it pass through the main places in Prague. A lot of history, a lot of information. During the tour, you don't get the oportunity to get inside the places and very limited time for pictures (which I personally liked). I really recommend it to everyone to be done in your first day in Prague, then you can select better where you want to go for good pictures, food, drinks, etc...

We are thrilled you enjoyed the tour.

Why should you do a Free Walking Tour in Prague?

Free tours have become popular in many cities across the world, they are the most convenient and affordable way to discover a new city.

Tour guides can directly share their love for their city with you, via a tour provided completely free of charge, so you can relax and enjoy the sights. At the end, you are asked to place a value on the tour you have received and pay what you think is fair. This contribution allows our guides to continue doing what they love.

During our tours, the professional guides will show you all the important monuments and the history behind them. We will also take the time to show you some of the more local sides of the city so you can have a glimpse into the life of a local living in Prague.
