Global rock superstars Green Day – Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool – have officially shared details on their massive 2024 global stadium tour with support from with the illustrious rock luminaries The Smashing Pumpkins , Rancid, and The Linda Lindas in North America and Nothing But Thieves, The Hives, Donots, The Interrupters and Maid of Ace in the UK/EU .   The Saviors Tour, fueled by Monster Energy , kicks off with the European run on 30 May in Monte De Gozo, Spain and travels through France, Germany and Italy, before reaching the UK, including a huge London show at the legendary Wembley Stadium on 29 June. The North American run, produced by Live Nation, begins shortly after on July 29 at Nationals Park in Washington, DC and makes 27 stops across North America in cities such as Toronto, ON; New York, NY; Chicago, IL; Atlanta, GA; Nashville, TN; Los Angeles, CA; Phoenix, AZ; San Francisco, CA and many more before wrapping up in San Diego, CA at Petco Park on September 28.

Green Day shared, “We’ve never been more excited to unleash new music than with Saviors , a record that’s meant to be rocked live, together.  So let’s thrash.  We’ve got some amazing friends who are coming along for the ride!”

The tour will be a larger-than-life, career-spanning celebration of one of the biggest musical acts of all time and some of the most important albums in history. This year marks the 30th anniversary of Green Day’s 1994 certified Diamond album, Dookie , and the 20th anniversary of 2004’s juggernaut, American Idiot . Each a cultural phenomenon in its own right, these albums have remained at the forefront of punk culture since their release. With blazing guitars and electrifying vocals, Green Day are ready to bring their mind-blowing collection of hits to stadiums across the country, along with plenty of additions from their newly announced album, Saviors .

Green Day began dropping hints about their soon-to-be 14th studio album, Saviors , at a surprise show at Las Vegas’ Fremont Country Club, surrounded by a crowd of 800 die-hard fans. During their Las Vegas takeover, which also included commanding headline performances at When We Were Young festival, the band debuted two killer new tracks: the first single “ The American Dream Is Killing Me ” and the brand new “ Look Ma, No Brains! ,” out today. Fans got another chance to hear the new music during Green Day’s headlining Amazon Music Live concert series performance on October 26, which included the two releases along with crowd favorites from their extensive discography. ABOUT GREEN DAY

Formed in 1986 in Berkeley, CA, Green Day is one of the world’s best-selling bands of all time, with more than 75 million records sold worldwide and 10 billion cumulative audio/visual streams. The five-time Grammy Award-winning Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees released their breakout album Dookie in 1994 , which sold over 10 million and achieved 10x Platinum Diamond status, is widely credited with popularizing and reviving mainstream interest in punk rock, catapulting a career-long run of #1 hit singles. The global tour included 29 sold-out stadium gigs – including renowned venues like London Stadium and Los Angeles’ Dodger Stadium.  On October 24, the band announced the release  of their highly anticipated 14th studio album, Saviors, coming January 19, ‘24 and released their brand new single, “The American Dream Is Killing Me.”

Nel forse dicembre 2021 mi trovai a spulciare su internet per trovare dei concerti, in particolare cercai per il gruppo Weezer, (questo gruppo piace molto a mio padre e volevo fargli una sorpresa) e venne fuori che il 16 Giugno 2022 avrebbero “aperto” il concerto dei Green Day in quello stesso giorno. non sapevo minimamente chi fossero i Green Day, mio padre prese i biglietti e mi disse di ascoltare qualche canzone, cosicché non mi sarei annoiata tutto il tempo. Nei mesi che passassero ascoltai davvero poche canzoni, tra cui: Basket Case, American Idiot e Oh love. Andammo al concerto, iniziarono i Weezer, non c’era molta gente, ma sono stati bravi. Inizia la canzone Bohemian Rhapsody dei queen e mio padre mi spiegò che questa canzone la mettevano all’inizio di ogni concerto per far cantare tutti e “attirare l’attenzione”, subito dopo iniziò la canzone Blitzkrieg Bop dei Ramones mentre un coniglio rosa correva di qua e di la per tutto il palco. Appena saliti sul palco iniziarono con la canzone American Idiot, e poi un via vai con i loro capolavori, mi pentii molto di non aver ascoltato delle loro canzoni, ma non mi sono per niente annoiata, è stato il concerto più bello di tutta la mia vita. Mi sono accorta fin da subito che Billie Joe è molto bravo a coinvolgere i fan e a non farli annoiare, e ad un concerto credo sia importante fare divertire i propri fan. Hanno fatto salire una persona a cantare (e non trascuro il fatto che mi sono emozionata a vedere come lui era così incredulo nel vedere Billie Joe, Mike Dirnt e Tré Cool da così vicino) e una a suonare (ancora non sapevo che a ogni concerto chiamavano qualcuno sul palco). Ad oggi i Green Day sono il mio gruppo preferito, li amo dal profondo del mio cuore e non vedo l’ora di andare ad un altro loro concerto, con la sola differenza che saprò cantare tutte le loro canzoni. Il concerto più bello che abbia mai visto!!!

È stato semplicemente IL CONCERTO PIÙ BELLO CHE ABBIA MAI VISTO!!! I Green Day dal vivo sono IMPRESSIONANTI (nel senso positivo della parola). Hanno suonato per 2 ore di fila (senza fare neanche 5 minuti di pausa) in maniera PERFETTA. Tutti e tre hanno già raggiunto la soglia dei 50 anni ma quando suonano insieme sul palco sembra che il tempo non sia mai passato e con le loro canzoni (tutte diverse e sopratutto una più bella dellaltra) sprigionano una carica ed unenergia così potente che arriva diretta al pubblico attraverso la musica. Billie Joe Armstrong è un vero e proprio frontman che interagisce molto spesso con il pubblico ed è sempre in grado di rendere ogni esibizione più affascinante e coinvolgente,  grazie anche alla perfetta alchimia che cè fra lui, Mike Dirnt e Tré Cool. Se fosse per me i Green Day dovrebbero ricevere una Laurea honoris causa in concerti dal vivo e volete sapere perché? Perché vedere i Green Day suonare dal vivo è un ESPERIENZA FAVOLOSA ed io non vedo lora che tornino presto con una nuova data in Italia.

The 34-date tour will mark the anniversaries of the band's iconic albums, Dookie and American Idiot

Green Day have announced a global stadium tour for 2024 to mark the anniversaries of their iconic albums American Idiot and Dookie.

The Saviors Tour comprises 34 dates in North America and Europe, including a number of festivals.

The outing will kick off in Europe on 30 May 2024 at O Son do Camino festival in Spain before visiting France, Germany, Italy and the UK, where the band will play a show at the 90,000-capacity Wembley Stadium on 29 June.

The European leg includes festival appearances at Road to Rio Babel (Spain), Rock im Park/am Ring (Germany), I Days (Italy) and Isle of Wight (UK).

Nothing But Thieves, The Hives, Donots, The Interrupters and Maid of Ace will support Green Day in the UK/EU.

The Saviors Tour is being touted as a ‘career-spanning celebration of one of the biggest musical acts of all time and some of the most important albums in history’.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of Green Day’s 1994 certified Diamond album, Dookie, and the 20th anniversary of 2004’s juggernaut, American Idiot. The US band will also perform tracks from their newly announced album, Saviors.

Green Day, booked by CAA worldwide and managed by Crush Music, are one of the most successful rock bands of the 21st century, grossing more than $200 million from 371 headline shows reported to the Pollstar Boxoffice since June 2000.

My first Green Day experiences date back to high school, I was 15-16 and it was like ‘93-‘94 before Dookie even came to be. I would see this punk band from the Bay Area perform in some local pizza place in Bakersfield, California called Jerry’s Pizza. From then on I was in love. Like IN LOVE! I loved the bands music! Their sound was something that just got me and to this day Who Wrote Holden Caulfield? is my most favorite Green Day song still. I take a lot of pride in saying I was part of the small percentage of people who loved their music before the entire world knew who they were. They are badass, Hands down! AND I’m thankful BJ had a sweet wife and family to help him when he needed it most and that he is still breathing and that he is here to give us more music with his fellow brothers of the band.

This was my first concert in the Pit, and it was the best night of my life. I got really hyped when I saw how close I was to the stage, and I met some pretty cool people there. When Green Day came out, I actually started crying. I was standing only a couple feet away from the band at points, and I know it was a night I'm never going to forget. I think what made Green Day different that most concerts was how they called so many people on stage and gave away so much stuff. Some people got to go on stage and sing lyrics, or play guitar, and actually got to meet the band members and I honestly thought it was so amazing because they made someone else have the best night of their life. This concert was hands down 10/10, in fact, it broke the scale.

It's been 9 years since Green Day made an appearance in Northern Ireland.

Boy did they make up for it

Rancid, Green Day's tour buddies. Started the show off with high adrenaline. So much so that a mosh pit itself began to form at the front of the stage. I was slap bang in the middle of it.

This high adrenaline show meant that when Green Day started the crowd was already pumped and ready. And they delivered on the he action packed, high octane poreformance everyone wanted. I would easily call this the best night of my life without question. It was a phemomonal performance from both Green Day and Rancid and I wold seriously recommended that,if they're coming to somewhere near you. You get tickets ASAP.

November 2, 2023 (Los Angeles, CA) –  Global rock superstars  Green Day  – Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool – have officially shared details on their massive 2024 global stadium tour with support from with the illustrious rock luminaries  The Smashing Pumpkins ,  Rancid, and The Linda Lindas  in North America.  The Saviors Tour, fueled by  Monster Energy , kicks off with the European run on 30 May in Monte De Gozo, Spain and travels through France, Germany and Italy, before reaching the UK. The North American run, produced by Live Nation, begins shortly after with a stop at SoFi Stadium on Saturday, September 14, 2024. 

Green Day  shared, “We’ve never been more excited to unleash new music than with  Saviors , a record that’s meant to be rocked live, together.  So let’s thrash.  We’ve got some amazing friends who are coming along for the ride!”

The tour will be a larger-than-life, career-spanning celebration of one of the biggest musical acts of all time and some of the most important albums in history. This year marks the 30th anniversary of Green Day’s 1994 certified Diamond album,  Dookie , and the 20th anniversary of 2004’s juggernaut,  American Idiot . Each a cultural phenomenon in its own right, these albums have remained at the forefront of punk culture since their release. With blazing guitars and electrifying vocals, Green Day are ready to bring their mind-blowing collection of hits to stadiums across the country, along with plenty of additions from their newly announced album,  Saviors .

Green Day began dropping hints about their soon-to-be 14th studio album,  Saviors , at a surprise show at Las Vegas’ Fremont Country Club, surrounded by a crowd of 800 die-hard fans. During their Las Vegas takeover, which also included commanding headline performances at When We Were Young festival, the band debuted two killer new tracks: the first single “ The American Dream Is Killing Me ” and the brand new “ Look Ma, No Brains! ,” out today. Fans got another chance to hear the new music during Green Day’s headlining  Amazon Music Live  concert series performance on October 26, which included the two releases along with crowd favorites from their extensive discography. Green Day announces massive worldwide tour for 2024

(Gray News) - Green Day says they are going on a worldwide tour next year that includes stops from California to Germany.

The American rock band told their followers that “it’s the moment you’ve been waiting for.”

The Saviors Tour is scheduled to kick off in Europe in May 2024 with North American stops beginning in July.

The Smashing Pumpkins, Rancid and The Linda Lindas will be joining the band for performances in North America. Nothing But Thieves, The Hives, Donots, The Interrupters and Maid of Ace will be joining the international dates.

Green Day said that the tour will celebrate 30 years of “Dookie” and 20 years of “American Idiot” plus their new album “ Saviors .”

Green Day – Hella Mega Tour 2022

Green Day will perform on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, starting with 6.00 pm, at the San Siro Racetrack, in Milan , as part of the Milano Summer Festival 2022 . The concert is included in the European leg of the Hella Mega Tour 2022 , in which Green Day is accompanied by Weezer and Fall Out Boy.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the concert, originally scheduled on June 10, 2020, and then moved to June 16, 2021, was rescheduled for June 15, 2022. If you already bought tickets for this concert, these will be valid for the event on June 15, 2022.

Green Day was formed in 1986 by lead vocalist and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong and bassist Mike Dirnt. Four years later, the band co-opted the drummer Tré Cool.

Over time, the band released 12 studio albums, 3 live albums, 5 compilation albums, 1 soundtrack album, 4 video albums, 10 extended plays, 4 box sets, 43 singles, 10 promotional singles and 44 music videos.

Green Day sold over 85 million records worldwide, including 24 million in the United States alone. The band won five Grammy Awards: Best Alternative Album for Dookie , Best Rock Album for American Idiot , Record of the Year for Boulevard of Broken Dreams , Best Rock Album for the second time for 21st Century Breakdown , and Best Musical Show Album for American Idiot: The Original Broadway Cast Recording .

THE FESTIVAL

The festival brings to Milan some of the best-known artists of different music genres, spanning from rock to electronic dance music, jazz, blues, and much more.

Of the artists who performed in the past editions of the Milano Summer Festival, we can mention Marilyn Manson, Carlos Santana, Martin Garrix, Iron Maiden, Alice in Chains, The Chemical Brothers, Alanis Morissette, Robert Plant, Metallica and KISS.

The San Siro Racetrack ( Ippodromo Snai – San Siro ) dates back to the 1920s, was renovated in 1975, and it can be considered a monument of national interest. The area, dedicated to live concerts and equestrian sport, is located on the outskirts of Milan, in Piazzale dello Sport.

The closest Metro Station is San Siro Ippodromo , on the Metro Line M5, about 650 meters away or about 8 minutes on foot from the San Siro Racetrack.

Venaria Reale - Torino

Stage 1 kicks off in the suburbs of Turin and finishes in the centre. After a flat initial phase of around 45 km, the riders will tackle three climbs.

San Francesco al Campo - Santuario di Oropa (Biella)

Challenging stage featuring the first summit finish. After a flat run-up across Canavese and Vercellese areas the pink caravan will reach Valdengo, where a succession of minor climbs begins.

Novara - Fossano

Predominantly flat stage with some minor ups and downs in the central part.

Acqui Terme - Andora

A fairly flat stage, the only obstacles are the Col di Melogno climb (8 km at around 5%) midway through the stage and the final Capo Mele, which is tackled from the same side as during the Milano-Sanremo.

Genova - Lucca

The riders leave the city of Genova and travel along the coast on the Aurelia state road in the first 50 km. The stage has just two climbs on the menu.

Torre del Lago Puccini (Viareggio) - Rapolano Terme

A demanding stage characterised by a hilly second part and three gravel sectors totalling almost 12 km. The first two are shared with the Strade Bianche, the third is a new one.

Foligno - Perugia TUDOR ITT

Individual time trial clearly divided into two parts. The first 32 km, flat and largely non-technical, lead to the foot of Umbria’s capital city of Perugia. The riders then tackle the ascent of Casaglia, with gradients up to 16%.

Spoleto - Prati di Tivo

Short stage with no flat ground to play with and plenty of elevation gain.

Avezzano - Napoli

Stage clearly divided into two parts. The first 180 km are the run-up to a demanding finale with short and punchy climbs.

Pompei - Cusano Mutri (Bocca della Selva)

The stage begins calmly with the first part of the race as good as flat.

Foiano di Val Fortore - Francavilla al Mare

Stage clearly divided into two parts. The first crosses the Apennines to Termoli and the second, entirely flat, is played out along the ss.16 state road and the shores of the Adriatic Sea.

Martinsicuro - Fano

A flat stage for the first 50 km and then studded with walls and hairpin bends to the finish. After a rather simple initial part along the Adriatic coast, the stage moves away from the sea to face repeated short, steep climbs that come in the final two thirds of the route.

Riccione - Cento

Completely flat stage through the plains of Emilia-Romagna.

Castiglione delle Stiviere - Desenzano del Garda TUDOR ITT

The second time trial test is predominantly flat with several undulations within it and an elevation gain of roughly 250 metres. The riders cross a few villages and a series of minor ups and downs. The road is almost constantly slightly downhill heading towards the shore of Lake Garda.

Manerba del Garda - Livigno (Mottolino)

Stage 15, arguably the hardest of the entire Giro, sees the start of a tough week of mountains. The route from Manerba del Garda to Livigno amounts to 220 kilometres and takes in an elevation gain of 5,700 metres.

Livigno - Santa Cristina Valgardena/St. Christina in Gröden (Monte Pana)

A high mountain fraction broken up by the Adige and Isarco valleys, basically a 3-part stage: mountain, with Foscagno Stelvio (this year’s Cima Coppi, the highest point of the race); plain, from Prato allo Stevio until shortly after Bolzano; mountain, with the ascent of Passo Pinei and the finish in Val Gardena.

Selva di Val Gardena/Wolkenstein in Gröden - Passo del Brocon

Intense climbing stage with brutal amount of elevation gain despite its short distance. The route climbs from the start on the Passo Sella, followed by a flat section in the Fassa and Fiemme Valleys all the way to Predazzo.

Fiera di Primiero - Padova

This stage features a single, rather modest climb in the opening half of the route (the KOM of Lamon) followed by about 150 km of slightly downhill false flat.

Mortegliano - Sappada

The stage begins by riding up the Tagliamento Valley, heading north and crossing the towns of San Daniele del Friuli, Forgaria nel Friuli and Peonis. After Tolmezzo, the succession of climbs leading to the finish line begins: Passo Duron, Sella Valcalda and Cima Sappada.

Alpago - Bassano del Grappa

Relatively flat opening at Lake Santa Croce, heading downhill to Vittorio Veneto and the Muro di Ca' del Poggio, which leads into the Prosecco area. After crossing the Piave River, the route reaches the slopes of the brutal Monte Grappa, which will be tackled twice.

Roma - Roma

The final stage is divided into two parts: the first is the peloton’s outing to Lido di Castel Fusano on the Tyrrhenian Sea. It's 16 kilometres one way and another 16 kilometres back before the stage enters its second and final part, the finishing circuit (8 laps) of 9.5 kilometres, which very much resembles last year’s lap through the eternal city.
