Travel Agency: List of Registered Travel Agencies in Nigeria with Their Contacts
Are you looking to book that dream getaway to an exotic destination? Fantastic! But how do you ensure you’re getting the best deal and working with a reputable company? That’s where a trusted travel agency comes in. They handle all the details so you can focus on the fun parts, packing your bags and soaking in the sights. If you’re based in Nigeria, you have plenty of options to choose from. We’ve compiled a list of registered travel agencies across the country along with their contact details.
What Is a Travel Agency?
A travel agency is a company that specializes in tourism and helps customers plan and book travel arrangements. They act as a middleman between tour operators, hotels, airlines, and car rental companies to provide you with the best deals and packages. Travel agencies typically offer both leisure and business travel services. On the leisure side, they can help book vacations, cruises, adventure trips, and more. For business clients, they handle travel logistics for meetings, conferences, and corporate events.
In summary, using a registered and reputable travel agency takes the hassle out of trip planning so you can focus on enjoying your adventures and making cherished memories. With their expertise and industry connections, travel agents can help craft your dream getaway.
Benefits of Using a Travel Agency
Using a travel agency for your trip planning has so many benefits. Here are a few of the top reasons to consider an agency:
- Save time: Planning a trip can be complicated and time-consuming. Travel agents do the work for you and can book everything from flights to hotels to tours.
- Save money: Contrary to popular belief, travel agencies often get industry discounts and deals that translate into savings for you. They also know the best times to book for the lowest fares.
- Avoid hassles: Booking through an agency means avoiding the hassle of coordinating everything yourself. They handle any issues that come up along the way so you can relax.
- Customized trips: Tell your agent where you want to go and your budget, and they’ll craft a personalized itinerary tailored to your needs and wishes.
- Insider knowledge: Travel agents stay up-to-date with the latest tourism trends, new attractions opening up, and hidden gems in each destination. They know the spots that aren’t in the guidebooks.
- Recommendations: Not sure where to go? Your agent can provide recommendations based on your interests and budget. They know which destinations pair well together for multi-country trips.
- Special access: Travel agencies often get VIP access to events, tours, and attractions, as well as upgrades and amenities. They pass these benefits on to their clients.
- 24/7 support: Should any issues come up during your trip, like a missed connection or medical emergency, your agent is on call to help no matter the time.
- Peace of mind: Booking through a reputable agency means your trip details are handled by professionals. You can feel confident everything will go smoothly, leaving you to simply enjoy your vacation.
List of Registered Travel Agencies in Nigeria with Their Contacts
When looking for a travel agency to help you book your next trip, you have many options to choose from. Here is a list of registered travel agencies in Nigeria, according to the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).
Choosing a reputable travel agency can help ensure you have a smooth trip-planning experience. Check reviews from other customers and compare the types of services offered to find an agency suited to your needs.
How to Choose the Right Travel Agency
When choosing a travel agency, there are several factors to consider:
Licensing and certification
Make sure the agency is properly licensed and certified to operate. Check with the relevant government agency that oversees travel companies. Licensed agencies will have met certain standards and have mechanisms in place to protect customer funds. Unlicensed companies could disappear with your money .
Experience and expertise
Select an agency that specializes in the type of trip you want to take. If you’re planning an African safari, choose an agency experienced in arranging safaris and know the logistics. For complex itineraries, an expert agency can save you time planning and avoid hassles. They have insider knowledge and contacts to arrange unique experiences.
Services offered
Think about what services are most important to you. Do you want a full-service agency to handle all the details or just help with booking flights and hotels? Consider offerings like:
- Customized itineraries based on your interests
- 24-hour support in case of emergencies
- Travel insurance and visas
- Special needs accommodations
- Unique experiences like cooking classes, private tours or meet-and-greets
Reviews and references
Check online reviews to see ratings and comments from other travelers. Ask the agency for references from previous clients with similar trips to get firsthand feedback on their experience.
Travel agencies charge in a few ways: service fees added to your trip, a commission from travel suppliers, or a combination. Ask about all potential fees upfront and get quotes from multiple agencies before booking. While you want an affordable price, don’t choose an agency based only on the cheapest cost; you often get what you pay for in service and quality.
Choosing a reputable travel agency can help ensure your dream getaway goes off without a hitch. Do some research, determine what’s most important to you, and find an agency with a proven track record of handling those types of details so you can relax and enjoy your trip!
So there you have it, a comprehensive list of registered travel agencies in Nigeria to help you plan your next getaway. Whether you’re looking to book a family vacation, romantic getaway, or business trip, one of these agencies should be able to find you the best deals and handle all the arrangements. Traveling can be stressful, but knowing you have a trusted agency in your corner will help ensure your trip goes off without a hitch.

Hajj 2024: NAHCON secures 40 slots for tour operators
Sequel to numerous consultations with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) is pleased to announce that the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has approved Federal Government of Nigeria’s demand to increase the 2024 slots of Tour Operators from 10 to 40.
It would be recalled that in a change of policy, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced in September that only 5% of each Hajj-participating country’s Licensed Tour Operators would be permitted to conduct the 2024 Hajj exercise.
This translated to only 10 from Nigeria. However, Federal Government of Nigeria unrelentingly engaged the Saudi ministry over Nigerian government’s course of promoting indigenous entrepreneurs as a tool in sustaining the country’s socioeconomic development.
In honour, the Saudi ministry in charge of Hajj and Umrah rescinded this decision in Nigeria’s favour.
Consequently, the Commission laid down criteria in screening the earlier announced 110 qualified tour operators using, among others, the following parameters: a. Capacity of operation; b. Years of experience; c. Historical antecedents; and d. Clean bill of operation.
On the strength of the foregoing, the process of selection was tough having evaluated each operator’s ability, experience, and quality of services.
As a result, the top 40 after scoring by a 7-man team of experts were adjudged to qualify and are hereby approved. They are as follows: 1. Hajj Mabrur Ventures LTD. 2. Hamsyl Travel and Tours LTD. 3. Gaskiya Tourism and T Agency LTD. 4. Shebra Travels & Tours LTD. 5. Alhujaaj International Umrah & Hajj Services LTD. 6. Taura Travel and Tours LTD. 7. Tafsan Towers & Travels LTD. 8. Amisad Air Support Services LTD. 9. Al-Qibla Travels and Tours LTD. 10. Danbare Travels Agency LTD. 11. Masanawa Travel and Tours LTD. 12. Travels Express LTD. 13. Al-Kauthar Travels & Tours LTD.
However, in the spirit of business partnership, the Commission encourages the remaining 70 that have qualified (from the 110 earlier approved) to consider aligning with the qualified 40 in the discharge of this religious obligation.
The Commission would like to assure that, as a stakeholder, it is desirous of ensuring that this partnership is entrenched even before the issuance of letters of approval.
Therefore, and in the principle of inclusivity, the Commission will soon hold a meeting with the overall 110 qualified operators in order to explore avenues of synergy to ensure all parties are carried along amicably.

Agency rebrands after 30 years following fred olsen travel acquisition.
A venerable Suffolk agency brand of more than 30 years has relocated to new premises and reopened as Fred Olsen Travel’s latest concept store, its fourth.
TravelQuest, a feature of Woodbridge’s high street for the past 32 years, was acquired by the south coast miniple in 2012 but has only now taken on its name and branding.
The store, which has moved to a more central location in the town in Thoroughfare, will continue to be managed by Claire Aitchison and staffed by her familiar team.
It will showcase two cruise brands – Fred Olsen Cruise Lines and Silversea Cruises – and was officially opened by Fred Olsen Cruise Lines chief executive Samantha Stimpson.
The branch has been designed with in-store branding, brochure racking, marketing and dedicated promotions from the two lines, and will also feature a Luxury Cruise Club lounge for clients.
It becomes Fred Olsen Travel’s 21st branch, and its 10th in East Anglia. The agency also has eight in Dorset and Hampshire, and another three in Sussex.
Fred Olsen Travel is targeting expansion to 25 branches by the end of 2025 . Its latest acquisition was that of Solent World Travel in Lee-on-Solent in June.
Director of retail Paul Hardwick said the store and the team stood ready to serve its existing clients as usual, and support them with personalised, knowledgeable service.
