Live recording from The Myrrors’ appearance at one of the first Fuzz Club Festivals held in London, 2015. This show was one of the final dates of a two-month tour traversing almost the entire European continent, and although there is perhaps some weariness to be heard in these grooves, it is also one of the best-recorded samples of this era of the band. Most of the material comes from the then-just-released “Arena Negra” album, though fan-favourite “Warpainting” gets a radical reworking behind several otherwise-unrecorded instrumentals and improvisations. This was without a doubt the most guitar-heavy lineup of the band, and one can hear shades of everything from Trad Gras och Stenar to White Heaven in the twisted interplay of Nik Rayne and Connor Gallaher’s strings (as a side note this combination is also on good display in their sporadic side-project, Curved Entrances ).

Following this tour the band underwent a sonic shakeup and begin to push their sound even further towards the cracked, cyclical jazz and minimalist textures of 2016’s (arguably transitional) Entranced Earth and 2017’s entirely guitarless Hasta La Victoria .

“Back in 2015 Arizona -based desert drone outfit The Myrrors were invited to perform at the Fuzz Club Festival London festival hosted by Fuzz Club Records and local promoters Bad Vibrations. Taking their otherworldly ‘Sonoran trance music’ to the stage of London Fields Brewhouse, The Myrrors unleashed a breathtakingly transcendental and all-consuming performance that across its three ‘parts’ – rarely deviating from the solitary note held throughout the set – spectacularly joined the dots between everything from classical minimalism and drone music, through to psychedelic rock, desert blues, Eastern folk and free jazz; perhaps the sort of music La Monte Young might have made if he tuned his mystical drone meditations towards rockier territory and swapped the artsy NYC avant-garde scene for the Sonoran desert that The Myrrors call home. Some four years on from that now-mythologised show and Fuzz Club , having sat impatiently on the live audio for years, will finally be releasing the performance on vinyl and digital for all to immerse themselves in.”

Really interesting flavors in a soundscapes of this album. An album that doesn't wear out by listening. You always find interesting new details in a rich texture of instruments. I have never been a big fan of sax but this album may change my opinions. Really surprising mix of traditional blue grass instruments but yet really exotic atmospheres. Definitely worth of listening. The Myrrors are an experimental/psychedelic band based out of Arizona. A project of one Nik Rayne, this band formed from 2007 - 2009 and then re-forming in 2013, The Myrrors have released five studio albums among a wide range of other releases, exploring an array of free-form and eccentric sounds.

The Myrrors formed in early 2007. Originally consisting of Nik Rayne on vocals and guitar, Claira Safi on bass, and Grant Beyschau on drums, they eventually recorded the album "Burning Circles in the Sky," released independently in a run of fifty screen-printed CDs. Rhythm guitarist Cesar Alatorre-Mena joined not long after. The band largely performed in Arizona for their initial run before disbanding in 2009. [1] [2]

The Myrrors would re-form in 2013 with Nik Rayne, Grant Beyschau, Eco Retraso and Joe Dains. The band's earliest known show back would be on 2 March 2013 supporting Plastic Crimewave Sound . [3] Throughout the year with a rotating cast of backing musicians the band would release several EPs and singles in Solar Collector , Loose Leaves , Ramon's Parra and Comrades / Storm Mills , often with DIY packaging and in extremely limited quantities. The band performed sporadically through 2014 including two shows with Kikagaku Moyo . [4]

Their second proper studio album, Arena Negra , was released circa 24 March 2015 on Beyond Beyond Is Beyond Records, a year which saw the addition of bassist Cody Schwartz, violist Miguel Urbina, and second guitarist Connor Gallaher, as well as a shift in the band's sound towards heavier, more experimental compositions. The band would tour the Southwest United States surrounding an appearance at Levitation Festival and then throughout Europe in the Fall, closing out the year with a gig supporting Nik Turner of Hawkwind notoriety. [5] Two more albums would follow in the next two years: Entranced Earth (27 May 2016) and Hasta La Victoria (30 June 2017). The band would freely explore a wide range of psychedelic sounds, gaining more buzz with each album and prolific release. The band would make an appearance at the 2017 edition of Desert Daze Festival.

Following a six week tour of Europe to support the two latest albums, a fifth album would follow in Borderlands , released on 17 August 2018 and attaining positive reception. The band would tour again the next August, mainly through the Netherlands.

THE OUTSIDERS Will Launch National Tour in 2025

The tour will begin in Fall 2025 at Tulsa Performing Arts Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Greasers are hitting the road! Producers The Araca Group, American Zoetrope , Olympus Theatricals , Sue Gilad & Larry Rogowsky  and  Angelina Jolie  announced today that the Tony-nominated Best Musical The Outsiders, the new musical based on the seminal novel by S.E. Hinton and  Francis Ford Coppola ’s landmark motion picture, will officially open a North American Tour in Fall 2025 at Tulsa Performing Arts Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma following tech, launch and previews at West Herr Auditorium Theatre in Rochester, New York.

“We could not imagine anywhere else to begin this next leg of The Outsiders journey than where it all began in Tulsa,” said producer  Matthew Rego  of The Araca Group. “S.E. Hinton’s novel has inspired generations and we’re thrilled for a new generation to experience the iconic story as we take The Outsiders across America.”

Additional tour cities, dates, and casting for the North American Tour will be announced at a later date.

Khabarovsk, Russia fascinates visitors with its unusual heritage and fabulous untouched nature. Tourists are drawn to the native culture, eclectic architecture and mesmerizing waters in this off-the-beaten-track destination, which promises a unique and memorable vacation.

As the center of Russia’s far eastern region of Khabarovsk Krai, the city offers celebrations throughout the year which are sure to give added flair to your trip, from traditional culture days to large-scale food fests. It is easy to keep a full itinerary during your stay thanks to its many theaters, museums, restaurants, workshops and quest rooms. Guests who want a more relaxed holiday can venture into the serenity of Khabarovsk nature, including the coast of the Sea of Japan or one of the region’s many picturesque lakes .

Khabarovsk Architecture

Khabarovsk architecture surprises with its harmonious blending of varying types and styles. This is due in large part to major changes which the city underwent in the mid-19th-early 20th centuries in conjunction with developments in the political, economic, scientific and technical spheres. The search for new trends in architecture came after the death of the classicism style, which had dominated the Russian Empire and the wider world for centuries. Beginning in the mid-19th century, the practice of mixing eclectic architectural styles began to emerge, leading to an era of amazing stylistic improvisations.

During the final decades of Romanov reign, many educational institutions for architects and engineers were opened. As a result, the face of numerous Russian cities began to change rapidly. Art Nouveau - a new, modern trend that absorbed several preceding styles – had come to dominate the architectural scene.

Many Art Nouveau buildings can still be seen in central Khabarovsk. These include:

• Takeuchi apartment building (5 Muravyov-Amursky Street)
• Esplanade Hotel (18 Muravyov-Amursky Street)
• Luhta apartment building (84 Komsomolskaya Street)
• Zandau apartment building (34 Muravyov-Amursky Street)

Khabarovsk also has many Gothic buildings, a style distinguished by its elegance and attention to detail. Every element of Gothic architecture emphasize a vertical orientation, as seen in the massive walls and columns, round arches and wide windows which contrast with narrow towers, pointed peaks and lancet windows.

Khabarovsk’s Gothic architecture is best represented by the artillery warehouse buildings located at 16 Komsomolskaya Street. Another notable example is the Red Guard Headquarters (105 Komsomolskaya Street), which has been preserved in its original form. The complex consists of two identical two-story brick buildings with unusual motifs containing pseudo-gothic elements.

Also of note is the early 20th-century Treasury Building, a luxurious red brick structure with openwork balconies that exudes an architectural grace.

Khabarovsk also has many Soviet-era buildings which were mostly designed in the constructivism style. Characterized by their enormous size and grotesque shapes, they often occupy most of the block and dominate the surrounding space.

During your Khabarovsk excursion, be sure to appreciate its unique architectural heritage by going for a walk downtown .

Khabarovsk Attractions

The layout of Khabarovsk is very simple: its 3 main streets of Lenin, Muravyov-Amursky and Seryshev pass through the downtown area, while Ussuriysky and Amur Boulevards run perpendicular to them. A distinctive feature of Khabarovsk are its many hills, so we recommend wearing comfortable shoes for your walk.

Begin your walking tour of Khabarovsk from the train station, where you can see the monument to Yerofey Khabarov, the famous explorer for whom the city is named. Nearby is a sculpture of a double-headed eagle, erected in memory of soldiers, officers and builders of the Far Eastern Railway. Moving from the station along Amur Boulevard you will reach the central market, just past which is Lenin Square. A spacious area with a granite fountain in the center, it is the main plaza of Khabarovsk and the site of the city’s Christmas and New Year celebrations. Next to the square is Dynamo Park, famous for its three ponds and Ferris wheel.

From Lenin Square, move along Muravyov-Amursky Street to reach Amur Embankment, passing most of Khabarovsk’s famous 19th-20th century buildings along the way. Descend to the embankment via two grand staircases or make a small detour onto Shevchenko Street, where you can follow the slope until you reach the embankment’s main stretch. Among other things, the area is home to the House of Officers and three museums.

As you move along the embankment through a park you will come across the city symbol of Khabarovsk, a building set on a steep cliff above the Amur River. It was at the foot of this cliff that the founders of a military post, the first semblance of civilization in the area, first landed.

After reaching the river and walking along Ussuriysky Boulevard to Turgenev Street, turn right to reach Glory Square. Here you will find another famous Khabarovsk landmark, Transfiguration Cathedral, along with a magnificent view of the Amur River and its dreamy islands. Glory Square concludes the main walking route of Khabarovsk, but from here you can reach any part of the city by public transport or taxi .

Khabarovsk Cultural Life

Khabarovsk entertainment centers around its many theaters and museums. Visit Khabarovsk Museum of Local Lore to get a better glimpse of city and regional life. Children and adults alike will want to visit Fishes of Amur River Museum, an aquarium which is home to some 90 species of the underwater world. To catch the vibe of local artists, head to the Far Eastern Art Museum.

There are several theaters in Khabarovsk, each of which is worth visiting:

In addition, Khabarovsk offers several concert halls, culture houses, cinemas and art institutions .

Khabarovsk Souvenirs

While the city’s souvenir selection is not as diverse as in other Russian cities, guests can still find something suited to their tastes on their tour to Khabarovsk. Amur River and the Sea of Japan offer an abundance of seafood that can be tasted on the spot or brought home in dried or smoked form. Yet it is the rich culture of the local indigenous peoples which provides the largest selection of national souvenirs.

If you’re looking for an original gift, traditional Nanai slippers are comfortable and warm. Sewn from leather or fabric and decorated in a bright, colorful style before being trimmed with fur, they make the perfect house shoes in winter. Traditional decorations include amulets which are made from animal bones, fur or fabrics and decorated with ribbons and colored beads.

Standard souvenirs like plates, magnets, mugs and flasks stamped with images of Khabarovsk or its coat of arms can be purchased in souvenir shops, which are mostly located downtown and at the airport and railway station.

Rory mcilroy says he feels like 'sacrificial lamb' after pga tour, liv merger, rory mcilroy i feel like 'sacrificial lamb' after pga tour + liv merger.

Rory McIlroy is breaking his silence on the PGA Tour and LIV Golf merger, saying he feels like a "sacrificial lamb" after turning down a reported $500 MILLION payout from the Saudis last year, only to watch the organizations come together ... minus the half a billion dollar check.

But, despite his personal feelings, the 4x Majors winner admits he believes the merger is "ultimately good for the game of professional golf."

34-year-old McIlroy met with the media at RBC Canadian Open in Canada ... and as expected, Rory was asked about the news that shocked golf to its core on Tuesday, when the two bitter enemies decided to put aside their differences and instead work together .

"It's hard for me to not sit up here and feel somewhat like a sacrificial lamb. Feeling like I've put myself out there and this is what happens," McIlroy flatly told reporters.

Rory added ... "Removing myself from the situation, I see how this is better for the game of golf. There's no denying that. But, for me as an individual, there's going to be conversations that have to be had."

Good or not for the game, McIlroy admits he doesn't like LIV, at all. And, he actually thinks LIV (in its current form) could go away with the merger.

"I still hate LIV. I hope it goes away and I fully expect that it does and I think that's where the distinction here is. This is the PGA Tour, the DP World Tour, and the PIF. Very different from LIV. All I've tried to do is protect what the PGA Tour is and what the PGA Tour stands for, and I think it will continue to do that."

Tiger Woods Rejected $700-$800 Million Offer From LIV Golf, Greg Norman Says

The "PIF" is the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund, operated by the Crown Prince, which backs LIV.

The PIF made big payments to stars like Phil Mickelson , Bryson DeChambeau , and Dustin Johnson , enticing them to leave the PGA Tour. However, Rory and Tiger Woods turned down an unthinkable amount of money (reportedly $500m for Rory, and $800m for Tiger) to stick with the PGA.

Despite being left out in the cold, Rory says he hopes the seemingly endless amount of money ends up trickling down to the players.

"Whether you like it or not, the PIF and the Saudis want to spend money in the game of golf, and they weren't going to stop. The thing for me is how can we get that money into the game but use it the right way and I think that's what this ultimately will do."

"Hopefully, that's my hope."
