New Jersey Institute of Technology Transfers: 2024 Requirements, Dates, GPAs & More

How effective are new jersey institute of technology virtual tours.

It depends how you use them. New Jersey Institute of Technology is a hustling, bustling campus and community. The beauty of New Jersey Institute of Technology virtual tours on CampusReel is that authentic video tours, made by real students, can be spectacular at capturing the New Jersey Institute of Technology vibe. We also go well beyond the confines of the New Jersey Institute of Technology campus by taking you around Newark. In traditional virtual tours, you will mostly see still, unengaging images and will not see the surrounding area at all – which is why CampusReel virtual tours are so important.

Can a New Jersey Institute of Technology virtual tour replace a traditional in-person visit?

If you cannot visit New Jersey Institute of Technology in person, then we can honestly say that we believe a CampusReel virtual tour of New Jersey Institute of Technology is absolutely the most effective and holistic way to understand the New Jersey Institute of Technology people, campus and community. However, if you do plan on visiting New Jersey Institute of Technology and other colleges in person, we strongly recommend that you at least prescreen your college options on CampusReel before spending the time and money to visit. Most prospective families find that as soon as the step on campus, they instantly know whether or not they like the school – but they’ve already spent all that time and money getting there! Our goal is to eliminate all the time and money visiting New Jersey Institute of Technology in person until you can make a strong educated guess that it’s worth the investment.

What are the downsides of a New Jersey Institute of Technology virtual tour?

The downside of virtually touring New Jersey Institute of Technology on CampusReel is that, admittedly, our technology does not yet mimic the exact feeling and experience of visiting New Jersey Institute of Technology in person. We are working on this though! A common request we also receive from users is to add more perspectives (e.g. student guides) to the platform. Rest assured we are working on adding more CampusReel guides to the New Jersey Institute of Technology virtual tour. However, our selection of guides still far outweighs the available perspectives of traditional virtual tour platforms.

What are the benefits of a New Jersey Institute of Technology virtual tour?

The most obvious benefit of a New Jersey Institute of Technology virtual tour on CampusReel is that is can be accessed from anywhere. This can save families a lot of time and money compared to visiting New Jersey Institute of Technology in person . Another often overlooked benefit of a CampusReel virtual tour is that it goes far beyond a traditional in person tour New Jersey Institute of Technology . Campus visits are limited both in time and scope – how are you expected to truly understand a college in a 1 hour tour? That’s why we stress the added benefit of CampusReel virtual tours – experience New Jersey Institute of Technology and Newark during different seasons, days of the week, and even hours of the day. What’s game day like? What is finals week life? Again, traditional virtual touring platforms don’t include this benefit.

The College Tour

NJIT makes Amazon’s ‘The College Tour’ encore (updated)

Producers returned to capture life through the lens of Spanish-speaking students

NJBIZ STAFF //February 26, 2024//

The basics:

  • NJIT was featured in the premiere season of “The College Tour en Español,” a spin-off of Amazon Prime Video’s original series exploring colleges and universities.
  • “The College Tour” gives and insider look at higher education options, covering campus life, academics, sports, housing and activities.
  • The College Tour en Español comes shortly after NJIT was designated as a Hispanic-serving institution, which was a major goal in the school’s latest strategic plan.
  • The series has played a role in increasing interest and applications at other institutions such as  Ramapo College of New Jersey .

After showcasing  New Jersey Institute of Technology  three years ago, the producers of a series streaming on Amazon Prime Video returned to capture life at the Newark public university through the lens of Spanish-speaking students. It’s also among the first schools featured in the premiere season of  “The College Tour en Español,”  which is a spin-off of “The College Tour’s” original four-year-old series exploring colleges and universities.

Since September 2020, Emmy-nominated producers Alex Boylan, Lisa Hennessy and Burton Roberts have documented 150 schools, including several in New Jersey:  Kean University , Montclair University, Ramapo College of New Jersey,  Saint Peter’s University ,  Seton Hall University  and UCNJ Union College of Union County, NJ.

The series – which just dropped its 11th season – is a one-of-a-kind show that gives families the freedom to explore all options in higher education without the burden of travel costs or logistics.

oylan, who won Season 2 of CBS’s hit reality series “The Amazing Race,” came up with the idea for “The College Tour” after helping his niece with her college search. From there, he teamed up with Hennessy, one of the original members of Mark Burnett Productions, and “Survivor: Pearl Islands” fan-favorite-turned-travel-host Roberts, to develop a program that tells each school’s story through the voices of students.

From campus life, academics, sports, housing and activities, the student-driven segments give the audience an inside look at what it’s truly like.

In addition to Amazon Prime Video, all episodes are available for free on  The College Tour’s website,  along with resources designed to make navigating all aspects of higher education a more equitable and less stressful process.

With the Hispanic population representing the fastest-growing minority group in the U.S., The College Tour wanted to produce episodes entirely in Spanish and narrated through the experiences of Latino students.

njit school tour

“Hispanic students play such an important role in today’s education and we felt strongly that it was important to amplify their voices, and also help inspire other Spanish-speaking students to pursue higher education,” Boylan said.

Other schools featured in the first season will include Arizona State University, Community College of Denver and Maricopa Community Colleges, as well as New Jersey’s  Kean University .

All of the participating institutions, The College Tour believes, are committed to preparing Spanish-speaking students for success, through innovative learning environments, establishing valuable career connections or offering internship opportunities.

In planning for The College Tour en Español, Boylan said producers were so impressed by NJIT the first time in August 2021 that they knew a return to the Brick City was in order.

“I would say one thing that really stuck out while filming our first season at NJIT, was the sense of community on campus. It is such a hands-on school, and you get the sense that the students really enjoy being there,” he recalled. “We knew we wanted to share their commitment to Hispanic students with the entire Spanish-speaking population.”

Filmed over a five-day period in March 2023, the 30-minute episode gives viewers a look at NJIT’s award-winning research, active student life, NCAA Division I athletics and everything that makes it  one of U.S. News & World Report’s Top 50 National Public Universities.

“From the moment you step onto campus at NJIT there is such an incredible energy that stems from the fact the students are thriving here. You can tell that they feel supported by the staff and excited by the opportunities around them,” Boyland said of spotlighting the school for The College Tour en Español.

In addition to Amazon Prime Video, NJIT’s episode can be viewed on the university’s YouTube page.

Bob Medina, a member of NJIT’s Class of 1975 and the first-ever Hispanic to chair the university’s board, believes the production is an effective way to connect with students — especially ones from Spanish-speaking families.

“When it comes to the Hispanic Latinx culture, parents have a big say because these are first generation students going to college,” said Medina, who was also the first in his family to earn a college degree. “So, it’s important that we convince the parents, as well.

“Most of the students that come to NJIT are proficient in English. It’s really more directed at parents who maybe don’t speak English very well or feel more comfortable in Spanish,” he said. “And, it’s showing them ‘NJIT is a great place, a safe place and a place that their kids can call home and get a good education.’”

“Hispanic culture is very family oriented, and I know a lot of parents, particularly of first-generation students, want to keep their kids close to home, keep them protected and make sure that they have a welcoming atmosphere,” he said. “I think they did a fantastic job. A lot of times when productions are done in Spanish, they’re just a translation of the English version. Sometimes they come across and sometimes they don’t because they don’t capture the essence of what they’re trying to do,” he said. “In this case, I was impressed the whole production team was Spanish or spoke Spanish. I think they brought a reality to the culture that they were trying to capture.”

Making the grade

The College Tour en Español comes shortly after NJIT was  designated by the U.S. Department of Education  as a Hispanic-serving institution, which was a major goal in the school’s latest strategic plan.

The new HSI status, which is reserved for colleges and universities with enrollments of full-time, Hispanic undergraduate students of at least 25%, highlights NJIT’s commitment to diversity, as well as unlocks several new funding and educational opportunities.

In the U.S., about 20% of colleges – roughly 570 schools – are Hispanic-serving institutions, including more than a dozen in New Jersey:  William Paterson University ,  Montclair State University , Kean University, Atlantic Cape Community College, Bergen Community College, Essex County College,  Hudson County Community College ,  Middlesex College ,  New Jersey City University , Rutgers-Newark, Saint Elizabeth University, Saint Peter’s University, Seton Hall University and UCNJ Union College of Union County, NJ.

Considered key in helping serve a marginalized population, HSIs enroll about 1.4 million Latino full-time equivalent undergraduate students, which represents about 62% of Latino undergraduates, according to advocacy group Excelencia in Education.

Over the past five decades, NJIT has transformed from a commuter school teaching applied engineering skills into one of the nation’s preeminent polytechnic institutions, offering degrees in engineering, architecture, management, computing, science and select humanities degrees.

njit school tour

One of only 32 polytechnic universities in the United States, NJIT prepares students to become leaders in the technology-dependent economy of the 21st century through its multidisciplinary curriculum and computing-intensive approach to education.

As a result, NJIT attracts talented students and faculty, produces graduates who are in demand in the job market, carries out high-impact applied research and fosters close partnerships with industries that drive local, state, national and global economic growth.

The public university now enrolls more than 13,000 undergraduate and graduate students, conducts more than $170 million in research activity each year and has a $2.8 billion annual impact on New Jersey’s economy.

Its many recognitions include an “R1” status – the highest possible ranking – in the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education for research productivity, as well as top spots on several lists, including U.S. News & World Report’s top 100 universities, Forbes’ best schools for student upward economic mobility and The New York Times’ great working-class colleges.

Another recent accolade came from the  New Jersey Chamber of Commerce  and African American Chamber of Commerce, which applauded NJIT as an Emerging Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Influencer in the chambers’ annual Trailblazer Awards program.

The latest honor is a testament to the university’s continued work to attract, admit and enroll a diverse population of students who can succeed. Such efforts enabled the university to welcome its most diverse first-year class ever this past fall, with underrepresented minorities comprising half of the class. The number of first-year students identifying as Black has nearly tripled since 2013 and Hispanic first-year enrollment exceeded 30% for the second year in a row.

Between Fall 2019 and Fall 2023, total Hispanic undergraduate enrollment at NJIT rose from 1,827 to 2,551, according to the school.

Learning from anywhere:

NJIT was among 20 New Jersey universities that were recently ranked on U.S. News & World Report’s 2024 Best Online Programs list.  Click here to read more  or click on the chart below for a quick glance.

U.S. News & World Report's 2024 Best Online Programs

In 2023, NJIT also earned the federal designation that serves Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander students and landed a $1.94 million grant from the U.S. Department of Education to ease the transition of such students into college.

Commenting on the goal of becoming a Hispanic-serving institution, Medina said, “That strategic plan came out around 2020. At the time, I had a discussion with the provost and said, ‘If you want to achieve that goal – there’s two ways we could do it. We can just wait and see, because the demographics are such that the Hispanic/Latinx population is growing pretty rapidly in New Jersey.’ Or we could take a proactive approach to making sure that we get there and when we get there, it’s a sustainable type of a program.”

As part of that strategy, Medina co-founded the Hispanic and Latinx Leadership Council to advise, counsel and support NJIT’s drive to increase its percentage of Hispanic and Latinx undergraduates from 20% to 25% by 2025 to qualify for federal designation as an HSI.

The 11-member group – which includes leaders in business and community advocacy as well as alumni – also works to deepen relationships with Hispanic and Latinx businesses, organizations and NJIT graduates.

Medina, who co-chairs the council, described the designation “as a great achievement” and “reflection of the great diversity that we have here at NJIT.”

“It will also provide a form of federal funding for programs to encourage more students to follow a STEM education and also to provide the support that’s needed,” said Medina.

After profiling over a half dozen higher education institutions across the Garden State over the last few years, Boylan described the state’s schools as “incredible.”

“As someone from Massachusetts, it feels like home to me. The students who come here from in and out of state are very lucky, and really in my opinion, have access to so many amazing career opportunities,” he said.

Going forward, Boylan said The College Tour’s dream is to do an episode for each of the thousands of four-year schools and community colleges across the U.S.

When it comes to selecting which schools will be next, Boylan said it “always has to do with outreach.”

“We love when a school approaches us, and we also reach out to schools, as well,” he said.

Ramapo’s cameo

At  Ramapo College of New Jersey , school officials sought out The College Tour to visit the Mahwah-based public liberal arts school, according to Lisa Ambrose, Ramapo’s director of communications and public relations. While a number of factors go into attracting, recruiting and enrolling students, Ambrose said that The College Tour episode “played a role in the increased interest in Ramapo College.”

In Fall 2023, Ramapo enrolled 5,521 students — its largest class since 2019 and second largest in  college history , she noted.

“We also have received more applications (8,500 and counting!) this year than ever in college history,” Ambrose said.

After Ramapo’s "The College Tour" episode was released in fall 2022, the school used it on the road at high school visits and college fairs, in email communications and other events, Director of Admissions Anthony Dovi said.

“Ramapo College has long held the moniker of being a ‘hidden gem’ in New Jersey. Dr. Chris Romano, vice president for strategic enrollment, outreach and engagement, connected with The College Tour to learn more about the process after recognizing the potential to raise the visibility of Ramapo College. He also saw the value from a marketing and recruitment perspective since peer-to-peer content is very relatable to the prospective student audience,” said Ambrose, who also helped produce the segments. “The ability to showcase an array of opportunities in a dynamic and engaging way was enticing. For us to execute storytelling with this production quality, coupled with the exposure to much larger audiences on platforms where we could not have space on our own, the decision essentially made itself.”

She continued: “It was a no-brainer for us to make this happen so that New Jersey, and the world, would learn about all we have to offer as a public liberal arts college.”

After Ramapo’s episode was released in fall 2022, Ramapo’s director of admissions Anthony Dovi said the school used its episode on the road at high school visits and college fairs, in email communications and other events.

“The College Tour video series are great assets for promoting the college brand, success stories, and overall student and academic life on campus,” he said. “For those who cannot visit campus, especially international and out-of-state students, the videos serve as a great tool to learn deeply about our location, our buildings and campus, student activities and residence halls, and more.”

From Math Success to NJIT Graduation: The Journeys of 4 Students from Newark

njit school tour

Speaker after speaker reinforced what Kevin Belfield, dean of the College of Science and Liberal Arts at New Jersey Institute of Technology, said about the university’s Math Success Initiative: “It takes a village to put a program like this together.”

The speakers were at a campus ceremony celebrating the first students to experience MSI and graduate from NJIT: Okyere Boateng, Brian Herrera-Calle, Catherine Ochoa and Steff Pitti.

The students exemplify the best of Newark, as each attended high school in the city before enrolling at NJIT. So, that’s why City of Newark Chief Education Officer Sharnee Brown and Assistant Superintendent of High Schools Maria Ortiz were among the speakers. Also, those city branches were key partners in creating MSI, as another speaker, former NJIT President Joel Bloom, pointed out.

The MSI experience

Math educators from the College of Science and Liberal Arts welcomed the first MSI enrollees during the summer of 2019. They experienced what it’s like to be on a college campus, taking courses taught by math faculty and attending college prep sessions provided by the Talent Search staff of NJIT’s Center for Pre-College Programs. That’s how MSI primes Newark high school seniors for higher education — regardless of where they enroll.

The program continues during the academic year, with more classes and college prep on campus and culminates in a ceremony during the spring semester. A total of 131 students have completed MSI since the first cohort in 2019-20, and of those, 74 have enrolled at NJIT, according to Levelle Burr-Alexander, senior director of strategic planning and community initiatives at the center , which co-administers MSI with the College of Science and Liberal Arts.

The 2023-24 cohort of 21 is still deciding on where to attend college in the fall. All but two of them, however, have earned admission to NJIT.

At the ceremony, Burr-Alexander introduced the soon-to-be graduates and handed each a certificate and a gift. The center’s executive director, Jacqueline Cusack, served as a heartfelt emcee, personally thanking attendees by name for their support, including NJIT President Teik C. Lim and Provost John Pelesko.

Once Boateng, Herrera, Ochoa and Pitti enrolled, they had the same hopes and fears of other first-years, excited about the opportunity but wondering if they could handle all the work, as Dean of Students Marybeth Boger recalled. Fortunately, they had not only the fortitude but also financial and emotional support, including scholarships and student services. And not only did they make it; they thrived.

The journeys

Boateng, who came from Science Park High School, majored in computer science at NJIT’s Ying Wu College of Engineering as a Newark Mayor’s Honors Scholar who became part of NJIT’s Albert Dorman Honors College. He also served on a subcommittee on community engagement for the development of the university’s new strategic plan. He’d like to start a business, ideally in Newark.

Herrera-Calle, from Technology High School, majored in mechanical engineering technology at NJIT’s Newark College of Engineering with support from NJIT’s Educational Opportunity Program. His next goal is big: become mayor of Newark.

Ochoa, also from Technology High School, earned a Jenny Scholarship and majored in civil engineering at the Newark College of Engineering. She has been admitted into NJIT’s master’s program for the same discipline, with a focus on construction management.

Pitti, yet another Technology High School alum, earned a Hanini Group Endowed Scholarship and majored in digital design at NJIT’s Hillier College of Architecture and Design as a first-generation college student. He’s creating a digital platform for personal animation and artwork, hoping to break into the video game and animation world.

Tenacity and grit

Regardless of their pursuits, the first MSI students to reach the finish line at NJIT are well-equipped to deal with any challenges they may face, said Monique Paden-Hutchinson, director of TRIO, which provides the Talent Search college prep component of MSI.

“What tenacity and grit you’ve shown,” Paden-Hutchinson said. “You are ready to change the world — all of you!”

Certainly, a village of Highlanders helped change their worlds as well.

Schedule announced for 2024 DP World Tour Qualifying School

The 2 024 DP World Tour Qualifying School schedule has been announced and includes five new venues, an increase in First Stage opportunities and a return to INFINITUM for its dramatic conclusion, as professionals and amateurs from across the world look to secure their place on golf’s Global Tour.

INFINITUM

Hopefuls will compete through three stages, as they look to add their name to a growing list of Major Champions, World Number Ones and Ryder Cup stars that have been produced at Qualifying School since its inception in 1976.

The Qualifying School will visit 15 venues from August to November and will once again conclude with Final Stage at Costa Dorada’s award-winning INFINITUM resort.

All five venues making their Qualifying School debuts will act as First Stage hosts, as the number of First Stage opportunities increases from nine to ten, giving additional players the chance to earn one of the DP World Tour cards on offer.

Golf Nazionale in Italy will make its Qualifying School bow fresh from hosting the Junior Ryder Cup last year, while Moonah Links is also a new venue and sees Qualifying School return to Australia for a third successive year. There are debuts on the schedule too for Golf de Léry Poses in France, Huddersfield Golf Club in England and Horsens Golfklub in Denmark.

Second Stage will take place across Spain, with the same four venues returning to the schedule; Desert Springs Resort in Almeria, Isla Canela Links in Huelva, Golf Las Pinaillas in Albacete and Fontanals Golf Club in Girona.

Mike Stewart, DP World Tour Qualifying School Director, said: “We’re excited to be able to share the full schedule for the 2024 DP World Tour Qualifying School, and we’re delighted to welcome our five new host venues.

“Increasing First Stage opportunities from nine to ten is an important change for 2024, as we hope to give more players the opportunity to clinch one of the coveted DP World Tour cards that are up for grabs.

“All 15 venues will provide a true test to those teeing it up and those that do come through the three-stage process will be ready to compete on the DP World Tour in 2025.

“INFINITUM has provided the perfect setting for Final Stage over the past five years, and we’re looking forward to returning there for a sixth time. It is a truly first-class venue and we’re grateful for their continued help and hospitality. It is a true highlight of our schedule.”

Joaquín Mora Bertrán, Deputy General Manager of Golf, Beach Club and F&B at INFINITUM, said: “We are delighted to welcome one of golf’s most exciting events back to INFINITUM.

“This is a very exciting time for INFINITUM, with major investment across the entire resort making the experience for visiting players, DP World Tour hopefuls and our members and residents even better.

“Earlier this year, we announced major improvements to the Lakes, and we are excited to see how the players react when they take on the renovated course – along with the equally enjoyable Hills - in November.

“Part of what makes INFINITUM the perfect stage for Qualifying School is the line-up of amenities on offer for golfers of all levels, from the new Callaway Fitting Studio to the nine-hole Ruins course where players can hone their skills.

“We look forward to working with the DP World Tour once again to make sure this unique event is as unforgettable as ever.”

The Final Stage of Qualifying School will take place at INFINITUM from November 8-13, 2024, where 156 players will compete over six rounds.

Each player will play two rounds at the Lakes Course and the Hills Course at INFINITUM, before the top 65 and ties play the final two rounds at the Lakes Course.

After six rounds, the leading 20 players and ties will earn DP World Tour playing privileges for 2025. This number has been reduced from the leading 25 players and ties that were awarded playing privileges last year as part of an overall review of DP World Tour playing categories.

Entries for the DP World Tour Qualifying School will open in June, with an official date yet to be confirmed.

Taylor swift's so high school choreography on the eras tour had so many travis kelce and football references, share this article.

The new set list from Taylor Swift on the Eras Tour premiered on Thursday , with the first of four shows in Paris, and as expected, we heard some Tortured Poets Department songs .

One of them was  So High School , the song that’s clearly about Travis Kelce . And as some fans noted, the choreography, set and lighting made it clear who and what the song was about. There were football lights! There were references to Kelce touchdown dances and Swag Surfin’! She and her dancers did it all from what looked like bleachers!

Check out the fan videos out and you’ll see for yourself:

Mayor Eric Adams called out sick on the third day of his weekend visit to Rome – cancelling a tour of an Italian school teaching migrants the local language to help them assimilate to society.

Adams, who left for the Eternal City on Thursday and is due back in the Big Apple on Monday, seemed the image of health earlier in his trip, but fell ill and was coughing before his visit to the school Sunday and decided to cancel.

Hizzoner was due to tour the Sant’Egidio Community, which is housed in a 1700s building in Rome’s Piazza di Santa Maria and teaches over 3,500 people Italian on a weekly basis as part of a multi-year course to teach migrants the language – vital work as fluency is a requirement to be a legal resident in Italy.

“He was not able to see that it is possible to build a multi-cultural society,” a spokesperson for the group said. “We would love to help in this also by putting him in contact with our people in New York.

Claudio Betti, who volunteers with the group Sant’Egidi, told The Post he and his colleagues were disappointed to miss the mayor. They were hoping to show him how well a cultural assimilation program can work as NYC struggles to deal with its own migrant crisis – but that they were happy to put him in touch with one of their centers in New York, he said.

Mayor Eric Adams left for Rome on Thursday and is due back in New York City on Monday

“The image you have seen today in those classes is the image of the new world that we want and I’m sure that he would love that,” said Betti, who is a director at the Australian Catholic University Rome Campus.

Sant’Egidio has taught Italian to over 8,000 migrants and refugees, with most coming through the program from Syria but also 120 other countries including Peru, Georgia, Colombia, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Libya, Sri Lanka, Ecuador and Paraguay.

Many live at the facility and are encouraged to interact with the local community as part of their education.

“They are hosted here in this neighborhood house and the house next to us. They are hosting you for a certain period of time. They studied Italian, they studied dining culture. In the meantime, we searched for final destination,” Betti said.

“We need to integrate languages – [it] is a crucial, crucial issue in Italy. You need to learn in order to be recognized as an as a citizen or even to ask for a restaurant. You are not allowed to be a resident here legally unless you speak [Italian],” Betti said.

Most of those 8,000 have gone on to obtain sponsorships to take up residences across Italy – which Betti believes is a vital part of keeping Italy alive as its population dwindles .

“It’s not only placing them in a place but making them a healthy part of society,” Betti said.

Taylor Swift's European Eras Tour leg kicked off in Paris with a new setlist. See which songs are in and out.

May 9, 2024 / 8:24 PM EDT / CBS/AFP

Taylor Swift fever struck Paris on Thursday as the highest-grossing tour in history finally arrived in Europe, with fans treated to the first-ever performance of songs from her latest album.

The Eras Tour began its European leg with four dates at the La Defense Arena in Paris.

"I wish I could have toured Europe more. This is a dream crowd," the 34-year-old megastar told the ecstatic audience.

There were deafening shrieks as images of typewriter sheets indicated that songs off the new album "The Tortured Poets Department" were starting late in the show.

Emerging in a lyrics-covered dress, she ran through several of the darker new tracks starting with "But Daddy I Love Him" and "Fortnight", a particularly furious rendition of "Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?" and an elaborate "I Can Do it with a Broken Heart," with a golden-era Hollywood dance routine.

Other "The Tortured Poets Department" songs performed included "So High School," "Down Bad" and "The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived," according to ETonline .

"You were the first crowd to see songs from 'The Tortured Poets Department'," she said, before adding: "Or, as I like to call it, 'Female Rage: the Musical.'"

That was a dream come true for many in the audience.

"I've been so excited for so long, I can't believe it's actually happening," said 11-year-old Emma, who had flown in with her mother from New York.

Adding songs from "The Tortured Poets Department" wasn't the only change to the show and its 45-song setlist.

Perhaps the biggest change, according to ETonline, is the "Folklore" and "Evermore" setlists were combined, cutting four songs across the two albums: "'Tis the Damn Season," "Tolerate It," "The 1" and "The Last Great American Dynasty."

"On the Eras Tour, we have now reunited the sisters, combined them into one chapter," Swift said, according to video posted to social media. "You can call it "Folklore, Evermore" or you can call it the Sister Albums! You can call it whatever you want as long as you promise to sing 'Champagne Problems' with me."

"The Archer" was removed from the "Lovers" portion of the show and "Long Live" was cut from the "Speak Now" era setlist, according to ETonline.

One of the secret songs was, fittingly, the "Midnights" bonus track "Paris."

Parts of the show were also rearranged to make room for the newest era. The "Red" era was moved from the fifth to the third slot, according to ETonline, and the newest album was introduced following the "1989" set.

The venue said a fifth of the crowd were from the United States — many attracted by Europe's rules against charging huge mark-ups on resale tickets that can save Americans thousands of dollars compared with shows at home.

Georg'Ann Daly decided to celebrate her 23rd birthday with the Paris show. It meant flying from Nashville to Chicago to London and catching the Eurostar to Paris.

"I've always been obsessed with Taylor Swift," she told AFP.

A handful of superfans camped out from Tuesday in Paris to ensure they got a prime spot.

"I didn't plan to, but I came to check it out and I saw the first tents and I panicked a little," said Chris, 30.

Noah, 20, is seeing all four Paris concerts — he used 22 email addresses to get through the lottery system and secure the tickets.

FRANCE-MUSIC-AUDIENCE-TAYLOR-SWIFT

After wrapping up her run in Paris, Swift will head for dates in Sweden, Portugal, Spain, Britain, Ireland, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Poland and Austria.

The Eras Tour has worked its way across North and South America and Asia since starting in March 2023.

By the end of the year, it had already become the first to sell more than $1 billion in tickets and is on track to more than double that by the time it concludes in Vancouver this December.

Swift's popularity shows no sign of dimming — the new album sold 1.4 million copies on its first day and broke every streaming record , reaching a billion streams on Spotify within five days.

Swift's tell-all dissections of her love stories have been the fuel powering her global domination, and fans have been poring over "The Tortured Poets Department" for cryptic clues about ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn, her short-but-dramatic fling with Matty Healy (lead singer of The 1975), and her current partner, American football star Travis Kelce.

"Taylor talks about toxic relationships, impossible love, politics, mental health, and so much more," said Chris as she waited by her tent for the big moment. "I think we can all find a song that resonates with our experiences."

Travis Kelce Sings Along to Taylor Swift’s ‘So High School’ Performance in Paris

Travis Kelce Sings Along to Taylor Swift's 'So High School' Performance in Paris

Travis Kelce is all-in on girlfriend Taylor Swift ’s Eras Tour performance of “So High School” with all its football references.

Swift, 34, performed her fourth and final concert in Paris on Sunday, May 12, and her first on the European leg that Kelce, also 34, attended. She even blew a kiss Kelce’s way before she started singing “So High School.”

While the NFL star danced to all of Swift’s biggest hits on Sunday, “So High School” is particularly special since it is one of the first seemingly about their love story.  According to social media footage, Kelce sang along to all of the “So High School” lyrics.

“Truth, dare, spin bottles / You know how to ball, I know Aristotle,” Swift sings on The Tortured Poets Department song, which came out last month. “Brand-new, full throttle / Touch me while your bros play Grand Theft Auto / It’s true, swear, scouts honor / You knew what you wanted and, boy, you got her.”

“So High School” has been presumed to explain how Swift and Kelce’s romance, which began in summer 2023, reawakened her youth after a series of failed relationships with the likes of Joe Alwyn and Matty Healy . (Breakup songs about Alwyn, 33, and Healy, 35, also populate TTPD .)

When Swift began the European leg of the Eras Tour earlier this month, she added a section for TTPD songs. After a performance of “But Daddy I Love Him,” Swift and her dancers move from center stage to stadium-esque bleachers for “So High School.”

As Swift sings the lyrics, her dancers all bust out moves that Kelce has previously done when he scores a touchdown on the football field. Other choreography includes the backup performers apparently mimicking Swift’s own facial expressions when she went to Kelce’s games.

Swift has gone to 13 of Kelce’s games, including February’s Super Bowl since they started dating. The games also presumably inspired Swift’s TTPD track “The Alchemy.”

Kelce is equally a fan of Swift’s catalog, including with the entire Tortured Poets Department Anthology.

The insider further noted that “So High School” and “The Alchemy” are not Swift’s only songs about Kelce.

“She has written other songs, some inspired by Travis, but they weren’t produced or part of the album,” the insider explained to Us . “There wasn’t time for them to be part of the album. She’s kept some private and hasn’t released them yet. She has a journal and writes all the time.”

After the TTPD set, Swift switches to her acoustic section. After calling out her 87th show, she launched into a version of “The Alchemy” mashed up with Red ’s “Treacherous.” Kelce was also seen dancing along to the surprise song mash-up, per social media footage.
