Safari Sam and Oscar the Awesome Ostrich have appeared at North Carolina State Fair (twice), South Carolina State Fair (twice), Virginia State Fair, Alaska State Fair, Delaware State Fair, Tennessee State Fair, The Canadian National Exhibition, Bloomsburg Fair (PA), Miami-Dade County Fair (FL), Clay County Fair (FL), Douglas County Fair (CO), Heart of Illinois Fair, Mother Lode Fair (CA), Lincoln County Fair (WY), Wyoming’s Big Show, Erie County Fair (NY), Poteet Strawberry Festival (TX), Elkhart County Fair (IN), Jackson County Fair (MI), Musikfest (PA), The Surrey Children's Festival, Saskatoon Children’s Festival, Winnipeg Children’s Festival, and dozens of other fairs, festivals, and special events.

In September 2021, TikTok user @skylarinva posted the video below (from the Virginia State Fair) which got 2.8 million views!

The 10 second video below was taken at Oro World's Fair in September 2019 and posted to TikTok by user @amberdanby. It went viral and ended up getting 30 Million views!

Reflector and Sparkle

Prepare to be mesmerized by Reflector and Sparkle as they light up the S.C. State Fair! Reflector has an astonishing 6,000 mirrors adorning his suit, he transforms into a human mirror ball, creating a dazzling display of reflectors. His friend, Sparkle, has a costume that glistens with thousands of mirrors. Prepared to be dazzled as the two stroll, dance and shine, bringing a touch of magic to our event.

The Animal Cracker Conspiracy are amazing stilt walkers! These whimsical animals may tower above your head, but they’ll work their way right into your heart.

Safari Sam and Oscar the Awesome Ostrich return to the S. C. State Fair! Safari Sam, with his safari hat and adventurous spirit, enchants a crowd collecting pats on the head for his friend, Oscar. Together they strike hilarious poses for photos, and Oscar sometimes even sneaks kisses and snacks. Don’t miss the chance to meet Sam and Oscar.  

Marc Dobson - One-Man Band

The One-Man Band, featuring Marc Dobson, returns – putting on an inspiring performance playing self-created instruments. Dobson, a lifelong musician and entertainer, plays 9.1 instruments at once. His repertoire aims at songs every age should recognize covering the 1960s through today with a mix of rock, country, pop and more. With improv comedic antics, no two shows are alike, which may explain why Dobson has been performing yearly at many fairs since the inception of his One-Man Band.

Denny the Clown

Denny the Clown is back for his 41st year at the S.C. State Fair. Catch his strolling mime and comedy routine daily throughout the fairgrounds. Denny will give you three gallons of crazy in a two-gallon bucket!

You Won't Want to Miss These Events at the Delaware State Fair

"summer nights & carnival lights" at the delaware state fair will bring family fun and live events to the first state from july 21 through july 30, 2022, by elyse dipisa • published july 14, 2022 • updated on july 15, 2022 at 1:09 pm.

If you're in the Delaware area this July, you might want to stop in Harrington for "Summer Nights & Carnival Lights" at the Delaware State Fair from Thursday, July 21 through Saturday, July 30.

The annual 10-day fair is bringing back its highly anticipated Summer Concert Series, the fairgrounds with games and rides, competitive exhibitors, free entertainment and some exciting new additions to the yearly traditions.

What is there to do and see?

The Summer Concert Series kicks off Thursday night at the M&T Bank Grandstand with country music star Sam Hunt.

The series also includes performances from Hank Williams Jr., Nelly and ZZ Top. Check the full line-up of performers during the fair here .

There will be live entertainment for free during the fair, too, including family friendly comedy shows, pig racing, circus and camel shows, livestock extravaganzas -- the list goes on.

Bring the kids over to the Wade Shows Carnival for rides, games and food.

Unlimited ride wristbands are available for the thrill-seekers online at a discount before the fair opens. On July 25, enjoy $2 rides and $2 select food and beverages for Monday Fun-day.

As you wander the grounds, you will be able to check out the several exhibits throughout the fair. Flower, garden vegetable, culinary, needlework, arts and crafts, children's and 4-H competitive exhibits will be around the grounds.

Aside from all these amazing offerings of the state fair, there are some new oddities and exciting events to look into adding to your to-do list.

3 Must-See New Attractions at the Fair in the 302

• Safari Sam and Oscar the Awesome Ostrich Safari Sam will be roaming around the fairgrounds. If you need a way to spice up your social media profile, a picture with the very photogenic Oscar the Ostrich may be the perfect addition to your page.
• The Butter Sculptor New to the fair this year is the butter sculptor. Head inside the air-conditioned Exhibit Hall to take a break from the heat and watch the progression of the artwork. Follow along in the sculpture's progress daily during carving time between 1 p.m. and 9 p.m.
• BMX Freestyle Team If you're looking for highly energetic and thrilling shows, this is one to see. Robert Castillo's BMX Freestyle Team will be performing stunts at the fair for the first time in 2022.
