Power couple Jay-Z and Beyoncé will be heading back on tour together later this year. After a 15-date European run to begin the summer, their On the Run II will be visiting North America for 21 stadium shows extending into the fall. Notable stops on the itinerary include Washington DC, Philadelphia, Chicago, Detroit, Atlanta, Miami, Los Angeles and Vancouver just to name a few. Back in 2014, the duo originally launched their On The Run Tour which visited 16 cities across North America.

Jay-Z's fourteenth studio album '4:44' was released on June 30th, 2017 and was his eleventh consecutive album to reach #1 on the Billboard 200. Also in 2017, he launched his 4:44 Tour across North America. Back in 2013, he embarked on his Magna Carter World Tour with a total of 52 shows across Europe and North America. Jay-Z has become one of the best-selling musicians of all time selling over 100 million records and receiving 21 Grammy Awards.

Jay-Z announced a huge tour for his new album '4:44' — here are the dates and how to buy tickets

On Monday, Jay-Z announced a 31-date tour in support of his critically acclaimed new album, "4:44." 

The 4:44 Tour starts on October 27th in Anaheim, California, and makes 29 stops throughout North America before ending on December 21st at The Forum in Los Angeles.

Tickets for the tour will go on sale to the general public on July 14th, but Tidal subscribers can buy tickets today at noon through an exclusive pre-sale.

"4:44" went instantly platinum upon its release last week, due to Sprint's purchasing a million copies of the album in a partnership with Jay-Z's streaming service, Tidal. The album did not appear on the Billboard 200 album chart this week, however, because the chart disqualified its Sprint-purchased copies.

It’s official: Confirming the hype-fueled rumors, Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z have announced that they will indeed head out on tour together.

The summer stadium tour, dubbed Legends of the Summer, kicks off a series of 12 concerts starting July 17 in Toronto and wraps Aug. 16 in Miami. The two also will play in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Boston, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Detroit, Baltimore and Hershey, Pa. (See more details here .)

STORY: Justin Timberlake Books ‘SNL,’ ‘Late Night’

Tickets go on sale Feb. 28, via Live Nation, for all cities except New York. 

Timberlake’s third solo album,  The 20/20 Experience,  will be released March 19 on RCA Records. He has already released two singles, “Suit & Tie” with Jay-Z and the eight-minute “Mirrors,” and performed “Pusher Love Girl” and “That Girl” live. It was announced this week that Timberlake and Jay-Z would headline London’s Wireless Festival this summer.

Jay Z Revealed The Sweet Way Blue Ivy Got Her Name, And What He And Beyoncé Almost Named Her

Jay Z is a proud papa and he can't help but gush over his first-born daughter, Blue Ivy Carter .

During his two-part interview with Gayle King for CBS Mornings , Jay Z shared what inspired Blue's unique name, and what it's been like seeing her tear up the stage with her mom and his wife, Beyoncé .

Believe it or not, Blue didn't get her name because Jay and Bey have an affinity for the color. And despite speculation, they also didn't choose the name as a carefully orchestrated business marketing plan.

Jay revealed he and Beyoncé initially planned on naming her Brooklyn, alluding to the rapper's deep connection to the borough where he grew up.

As the "Cuff It" singer's pregnancy progressed, their minds also changed. But it didn't take long for them to land on something they could both agree on.

"We was calling her Blueberry. Like, 'Look at the little blueberry.' You know, it was like a nickname," Jay Z said. "It just was natural. We just took the berry off and called her Blue."

The music mogul has been in awe watching his daughter grow and that admiration has only increased as she's matured — like when she decided she wanted to perform during her mom's history-making Renaissance Tour .

Blue appeared alongside her mom during her performance of "My Power." The 11-year-old hit the stage night after night for her own dance set, and fans loved it. It even sparked a trend on TikTok, but no one was cheering Blue on harder than her dad.

"For me, this was her best tour," Jay Z said. "It's hard to really compare them because they all have different things of genius. But this one, to me, felt like the most complete."

"Blue's been born into this world that she didn't ask. She's been born into a life she didn't ask for. So since she was born she's been in, like, scrutiny and public eye, and everyone having an opinion," He added. "I know how nervous she was [to perform onstage]. I know how frightened she was. And she wanted to do it."

"She wanted to do it the first night, and we was like, 'Okay, if this is something you wanna do, you can't just go out there. You gotta go work with the dancers, and go work.' And she worked every day and we watched her work hard. She had a little icy pack thing on her back some days."

The "Hard Knock Life" rapper admitted that watching his daughter face this challenge with such determination gave him "goosebumps."

"So for her to be on that stage and reclaim her power and the song is called 'My Power' — you can't write a better script," Jay Z concluded.

Blue is the eldest of Jay and Bey's three children. They also share six-year-old twins Rumi and Sir.

Alicia Keys and JAY-Z  were certainly in the "Empire State of Mind" as the duo hit the stage at Sunday's  2024 Tony Awards  to perform their hit collaboration for the first time in more than five years. 

The 43-year-old singer and 54-year-old rapper showed pride in their hometown during the broadcast as they moved audience members inside the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center to get out of their seats and dance around to their 2009 single, which turns 15 in October. 

According to Billboard , the last on-stage reunion for the New York natives to sing their chart-topping NYC anthem was back in 2016 when Keys hosted a Here in Times Square special that aired on BET. 

During the musical presentation performance for Hell's Kitchen , the jukebox musical written by Keys, the singer came out on stage on a piano to sing with Maleah Joi Moon, the actress who plays Keys' semi-autobiographical role of Ali, before joining Jay Z. 

"Are we in New York City tonight? Are we at the Tony Awards?" Keys said into the microphone. "I had to do something crazy, it's my hometown," she screamed as JAY-Z showed up on a screen behind the stage, performing outside the venue.

The two eventually met up outside the theater and sang together as the crowd burst into applause. The cameras even briefly flashed to Nicole Scherzinger , whose jaw dropped at the sight of the "Public Service Announcement" singer. 

Keys is originally from Hell's Kitchen -- a neighborhood located on the west side of midtown Manhattan -- while the "Run This Town" rapper hails from Brooklyn. From their performance, it's clear the audience and those on stage could feel the hometown energy as the moment was one of the biggest of the night. 

"Empire State of Mind," which the pair have previously called a love letter to the Big Apple, has sold more than 9 million units since it released in October 2009, going quadruple platinum as of June 2023.

In the decade and a half since its release, the song has since become synonymous with New Yorkers and the city as a whole, with the tune even being named by one outlet as the second best song about NYC, only falling to Frank Sinatra's "New York, New York" and beating out Billy Joel's "New York State of Mind" by several spots.

Greatness always recognizes greatness. Jay-Z surprised the thousands of fans packing Gillette Stadium on Wednesday night (June 12) when he opened up Tom Brady’s Patriots Hall of Fame induction ceremony in Massachusetts.

Hov emerged from the smoke filling the stage with his epic “Public Service Announcement” opening line: “Allow me to reintroduce myself.” Fans were initially caught off-guard and seemingly had no idea that rap royalty was in front of their eyes.

Perfectly timed, Brady executed a grand entrance and drew an ovation from the crowd in the stadium he once called home as a member of the New England Patriots for 20 years. Now, no Patriot will ever wear No. 12 again with his jersey in the rafters.

TB12 made a habit of coming out to “PSA” during pre-games while suiting up for the Patriots at Gillette Stadium and delivering his signature fist pump along with a “Let’s go!”

“I’m a big fan of [Jay-Z],” Brady told MassLive in 2014.

“Public Service Announcement” served as a Just Blaze-produced interlude on The Black Album , which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in November 2003. The LP is currently four-times platinum, per the RIAA.

Jay-Z and Tom Brady have been friendly when crossing paths over the years. Jay serves as the NFL’s music entertainment strategist, with Roc Nation helming the Super Bowl halftime show each year.

More recently, Jigga and the seven-time Super Bowl champ have typically been together attending events curated by Fanatics CEO and mutual friend Michael Rubin. Back in May, Rubin had Jay and Brady come and speak at a luncheon for rookie NFL players after they were drafted to give them tips on how to navigate fame and their newfound celebrity status.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z: Malibu renaissance couple

J ay-Z was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and Beyoncé in Houston. But Exhibit A of their global entertainment dominance sits squarely in Southern California on the Malibu coast, a gleaming 40,000-square-foot concrete-and-glass mansion that the couple bought last year for $200 million, a record sum for a single-family home in California. Their combined net worth, according to Forbes, is estimated at more than $3 billion.

The power that hip-hop's premier couple wields goes well beyond the symbolic. They have teamed up on some of the most storied collaborations of the last decade, traversing stadiums across North America, along with two shows in Paris, for the sometimes bumpy On the Run tour in 2014. Four years later, they ran it back with the more harmonious On the Run II, which grossed more than $250 million. In between, in 2016, they rented out the Louvre and outshone the "Mona Lisa" in the six-minute music video for “Apeshit,” in which Beyoncé shunned her signature vocal runs to instead rap bar-for-bar alongside her husband. (The family collaborations have extended to the couple’s children, with eldest child Blue Ivy Carter joining her mother on the 2023 Renaissance world tour.)

They have teamed up on some of the most storied collaborations of the last decade.

The last few years, though, have belonged to Beyoncé, who outpaced Jay-Z — and most of the recording industry — while touring behind the 2022 blockbuster "Renaissance" album and then releasing "Cowboy Carter," another record-breaking album that saw the artist plant her flag firmly in country music terrain. The Renaissance tour, which was her highest-grossing (and the eighth highest of all time) included four late-summer stops at SoFi Stadium and a concert movie, which former Times reporter Marissa Evans called "a grandiose dare to anyone who tried to ask us to be less of ourselves." Meanwhile, the "Renaissance" album continued to shake dance floors across the globe, while also earning Beyoncé, 42, a 32nd Grammy , making her the most decorated artist in the history of the awards show.

Even in an "off year," Jay-Z, 54, still went where few others have gone. Last summer, the Brooklyn Public Library honored him with "The Book of HOV," a multimedia exhibit showcasing unseen photos, archived artifacts and some of his original masters. Visitors didn't even have to step inside the library to marvel at his greatness; some of his most timeless lyrics were stamped along the building's towering exterior. It's another reason why galaxy-brained entrepreneurs would line up to pay $500,000 for the chance to pick his mind over dinner — even if the man himself says it’d be a fool's decision.

Jay-Z performs "Public Service Announcement" as Tom Brady enters Patriots Hall of Fame ceremony

FOXBORO – The Patriots promised a star-studded event as Tom Brady is inducted to the team's Hall of Fame, and they delivered when rap icon Jay-Z took the stage Wednesday night.

Jay-Z, whose birth name is Shawn Carter, performed his song "Public Service Announcement" for the sold-out crowd at Gillette Stadium.

For years, Brady would run onto the field during pregame while the song, with the lyrics "allow me to reintroduce myself," was blaring on the Gillette Stadium speakers.

After each run to the opposite end zone, Brady would pump his fist and unleash a signature "Let's go!"

Brady was asked about the song choice during a 2014, as transcribed by MassLive.com . The quarterback said it has been his song choice for "a long time." When asked what it was about the song that he likes, he said "I'm a big fan of [Jay-Z]."

Patriots owner Robert Kraft is also a fan of the rapper. Jay-Z and Kraft have attended events in the past, and worked together to form a criminal justice reform organization.

In 2022, Jay-Z sat in Kraft's Gillette Stadium box during a game against the Buffalo Bills.

Earlier this offseason, Brady and Jay-Z attended a breakfast with several recently drafted players, including quarterback Drake Maye, who was selected No. 3 by New England.

"I'll always cherish the opportunity to talk to these young men who are about to start a monumental chapter of their lives," Brady wrote on social media following the event. "I would never be in the place I am today without the incredible people and mentors that came into my life at the right time and at the right place."

Jay-Z kicked off the Pats' induction ceremony with an unexpected performance of the song that Tom Brady used as his walkout song for much of his career.

Jay-Z  kicked off the festivities for Tom Brady’s  New England Patriots Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Wednesday, June 12. Jay, 54, made the unannounced appearance to get the party started at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. During his song, Tom, 46, made his grand entrance on the floor and walked in front of the stage.

While people on the floor were still finding their seats, the introduction to Jay’s song “Public Service Announcement (Interlude)” could be heard. Given that The Black Album cut is in the style of a PSA,  a voiceover making an announcement could be heard, before Jay delivers the classic first line, “Allow me to reintroduce myself/My name is Hov,” he rapped.

After finishing the song’s first verse, the screens showed that Tom was making his entrance, and the crowd cheered. Jay gave the former Patriots quarterback a shoutout before launching into the next verse. “Put one hand in the air for the GOAT [Greatest of All-Time], Mr. Tom Brady tonight!” he called out.

The induction ceremony celebrated Tom’s longstanding career with the Pats, but it did come just weeks after the Super Bowl winner was the butt of a number of jokes during Netflix’s  The Greatest Roast of All Time . A few former Patriots teammates and staff members, like  Robert Kraft  and  Bill Belichick , were present for the induction, just as they had been for the roast.

Besides Tom’s induction ceremony, Jay’s appearance also marked a rare live performance by him, his first in nearly a year. Prior to the celebration of the QB’s career, Jay’s last public performance was in June 2023 in Paris to celebrate  Pharrell Williams’  debut as the creative director at Louis Vuitton. Earlier that year, he performed at another Louis Vuitton event, but he’s been very sparing about live appearances since 2019. His last proper concert performance was in April of that year at New York’s Webster Hall. He also made a guest appearance during Pharrell’s set at the Something in the Water Festival in Washington D.C.

Jay-Z made a surprise appearance during Alicia Keys ‘ performance at the 2024 Tony Awards last night (June 16) – watch the footage below.

Keys’ Broadway musical Hell’s Kitchen was nominated for 13 awards at the ceremony, which took place at the Lincoln Center’s David H. Koch Theater in New York City.

The R&B artist began singing ‘Empire State Of Mind’ – her 2009 collaborative single with Jay-Z – alongside the cast of her show. While walking into the audience, she said: “[I] had to do something crazy! It’s my home town!”

She then threw to the rapper, who appeared on the big screen. He was seen standing on a set of stairs in a theatre lobby as he rapped his lines from the track before Keys joined him.

Ahead of the outing, Keys told Entertainment Tonight that the Hell’s Kitchen cast would be “bringing all of their passion and fire” to the “spectacular” performance at the Tony Awards. “I’m so excited for this,” she added.

The artist had teased her surprise reunion with Jay by sharing a photo of two microphones on social media. One was labelled with her initials in gold pen, with the other featuring the letter “J”. See the posts below.

Hell’s Kitchen is “an unforgettable new show loosely based on Alicia Keys’ personal experiences, featuring both newly created music and many of her soulful, iconic songs”, per an official synopsis.

Tinashe Responds After Janet Jackson Remixes "Nasty" at Utah Show

The singer flipped Tinashe’s hit record with her 1986 single of the same name.

Janet Jackson  remixed  Tinashe 's viral song "Nasty" with her own song of the same name during the latest stop on her Together Again tour, and the latter couldn't be more excited about the moment. 

On Saturday night, Jackson took time out of her set at the Utah First Credit Union Amphitheatre to blend her 1986 single "Nasty" with Tinashe's latest hit of the same name. In the video footage shared online, Janet can be seen breaking out into a dance routine alongside her dancers with the mix of the two singles playing in the background.

Tinashe saw the clip and reposted it on her X page with the caption "Woahhhhh …" The moment was full circle for the 31-year-old as she tweeted in 2021 that Janet was one of her "biggest idols."

"Anyone who knows me knows Britney Spears and Janet Jackson are literally my two biggest idols in the whole universe, and I just hope they know how much they mean to me/us," she tweeted at the time.

Tinashe has been riding high off the success of "Nasty," and recently took a sly shot at her former label,  RCA , which she left in 2019. When stopped by a reporter earlier this month she was asked about the success of the single and how her former label might feel about it.

"Do you feel like RCA kind of dropped the ball when you were on their label? Because they couldn't do it? You did it by yourself," the reporter asked her.

"You know? We just didn't need them," Tinashe responded with a shrug. "All you need is hard work, good fans, talent. I know they're gagging."
