We went on the tour with our guide Santi, who was very attentive and informative. It gave us a great insight into the history of Rome, allowing us to see all of the great landmarks - Trevi Fountain, Spanish steps, Pantheum and many more! We were given time to stop off and explore each place and we came away very satisfied. Thank you, Santi. It was a pleasure.

Francesco was our guide and we were lucky enough to be just the two of us and him! It was brilliant fun! We have done it before so required no training but if you are a novice they will teach you how to do it. Saw all the sights of Rome. He was extremely friendly and knowledge- highly recommend!

We had done a Segway tour of Rome before and wanted to try something new. This one passes through some of the main highlights but also visits the beautiful Borghese gardens. Santi was a fantastic guide - spoke excellent English and added interesting and funny stories about the city along the way. Our teenagers loved speeding through the city and said it was the highlight of our visit!

The Borghese Gallery and Gardens were unbelievable. We had a little bit of time before our tour started, so we walked throughout the gardens and it is just so beautiful and peaceful. We booked the group tour, but it ended up being a private tour as no one else had booked. We moved through the gallery at a very good pace and our tour guide was so educational. This ended up being one of my favorite tours in Rome!

We had used Rex tours for a half day segway tour the last time we were in Rome and thought it was a fantastic experience so figured we would try it again with our niece and nephew as a graduation present. We chose to do the full day tour as we had limited time in Rome. During this particular visit, the daily temperatures were getting into the 108 degrees range with heat index of 115, so they requested we change the tour to start at 330pm. I had no issues with this and agreed to the change. This meant we were getting dinner instead of lunch. I informed them previously that we had someone with Celiac with us that would need to be accommodated and they said this wouldn't be a problem. However, when we got there, we found she had 1 option only for her meal, and no appetizers. This would be one of two issues we had with the tour. I would almost prefer paying separately for dinner and being able to pick a different location as the meal was just ok. Now, this could be due to the fact that it is normally lunch that is included in the tour. We had Luigi as our tour guide and he did a great job training us on how to work the segways, then off we went into the city to find all the main sites. He did a great job getting us to all the major attractions and really enjoyed being able to see the city from the segways. Seeing the city at night was an added bonus and some of the photos ended up amazing! Luigi was also there to take group photos every chance we wanted. Luigi even recommended the best gelato place we tried the entire time we were in Italy! If anyone is interested, definitely check out Gunthers! My only last complaint is that we booked a 9-hour tour and due to the change in timing of the tour, we really only got 7 hours of tour time, and this included our just over 1-hour dinner break and a gelato stop. However, I would like to point out that even with a dinner and gelato break, we still were able to see all the sights we wanted to see. Another note for future bookers, you stop and see the sights, but typically do not go in them. This was not an issue for our group, and we still thoroughly enjoyed our tour! Biking around the city allowed us to see so much more than we would have otherwise, and was a great introduction to the city. You have not truly seen Rome until you have experienced it at night! The monuments completely transform as they are beautifully illuminated, creating a festive, romantic and mysterious atmosphere throughout the city. Rome’s best-illuminated monuments are scattered around the city – making our Rome Night Tour by Segway the ideal way to see it all, from the Colosseum to the Trevi Fountain across the city, without getting stuck on a crowded tour bus.

Your experience begins at our office, conveniently located near the Colosseum. Your tour leader will provide all guests with reflective vests to ensure your safety on the roads after dark. You’ll then enjoy a 30-minute training session to help you get comfortable on your Segway. Within minutes you’ll realize just how easy and intuitive it is!

We’ll start our tour off well in front of the stunningly lit Colosseum . Locals often say the Colosseum is at its most beautiful at night, each archway is artfully illuminated with golden light. From here, your tour leader will bring you past glowing columns, ruins and ancient temples , leading onto Piazza Venezia and the grandiose ‘Wedding Cake of Rome’ or Vittoriano, build in honor of unified Italy’s first king.

Heading into the heart of the Eternal City’s historical center, we’ll stop at famous sights such as the sparkling Trevi Fountain , where we’ll toss a coin in to ensure a return to Italy. Piazza Navona becomes a carnival at night, filled with merrymakers, strolling couples, and gurgling, glistening fountains. At Campo de’ Fiori , the daily local market is replaced by bars, restaurants and cafés catering to boisterous crowds.

In order to best experience Rome’s nightlife, your Tour Leader will point out favorite local pizzerias, gelaterias and bars as you cover neighborhoods like Trastevere. You’ll be free to request a stop for a slice, ice cream or drink (not included), giving you ample time to sit and soak up the festive atmosphere. This is our most laid back tour. Depending on the group, your Tour Leader can personalize the itinerary to make sure everyone has an enjoyable time.

If you are looking for a fun, eco-friendly experience of Rome after sunset – our unique Rome Night Tour by Segway is perfect for you! You’ll cover more ground and see more without the effort it would take the cover the same route on foot. All tours depart from and end at our office near the Colosseum where a bathroom, free Wifi, water and caffé are available to all of our guests.

• Minimum age to ride a Segway is 16 years
• Customers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult
• Riders must have the ability to make motions such as climbing and descending stairs without assistance
• Segways are not suitable for guests who weigh under 100 pounds (45 kilos) or over 250 pounds (113 kilos)
• It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes
• Please do not carry large bags whilst on the Segway
• Not recommended for pregnant women
• Adult pricing applies to all travelers
• Please note: We do not visit the inside of the Colosseum or Roman Forum on this tour.

Cancellation Policy

• Tour goes forward, rain or shine (don't worry, if they are needed - we'll bring the poncho's!). If you would like to cancel your tour or modify the date, we require notification at least 72 hours before your departure time. Refunds will not be provided for changes or cancellations made after this time.

The EcoArt Office is a few blocks walk from the Colosseum on Via Celimontana 30/32 in Rome, Italy.

From the exit of the Coliseum (Colosseo) Subway (Metro B line ) go left on Via dei Fori Imperiali. Reach the traffic light and make a right turn, crossing the street, then turn to your left and cross the street again. The street you see on your right side (Restaurants) is Via San Giovanni in Laterano. Take it, walk straight ahead and turn right at the second street onto Via Celimontana. Two blocks up the hill on the left hand side you will find us at n.30/32
