Guns N’ Roses announce massive 2023 world tour

Slash and co will visit the Middle East, Europe and North America over a sprawling 38-date schedule, which is set to kick off in June

Slash performs onstage with Guns N' Roses

Guns N’ Roses have announced they’ll be hitting the road later this year for a mammoth world tour that will span five months.

Set to kick off at the Park Hayarkon in Tel Aviv, Israel, on June 5, the tour will see Slash and co then make their way through Europe over the course of 15 dates, visiting Spain, Belgium, Denmark, Norway, the UK, Germany, Italy and more.

The European leg of the tour will conclude on July 22 with a performance at the Olympic Stadium in Athens, Greece.

After a few weeks break, GN'R will then get to work on a North American leg of the tour, which will commence on August 5 at the Medavie Blue Cross Stadium in Moncton, Canada. The band will then play shows at Boston’s Fenway Park, Lexington, Kentucky's Rupp Arena, Biloxi’s Mississippi Coast Coliseum and more, before wrapping things up at Vancouver, Canada's BC Place on October 16.

The 2023 world tour will be Guns N’ Roses’ first time on the road since the band’s We’re F’N Back! tour, which concluded last summer.

General sale for all tickets will take place this Friday (February 24) over on the band’s official website.

Whether the band will perform any new material on the upcoming tour remains to be seen, but it’s been just over a year since Slash confirmed Guns N’ Roses would be releasing a new album , and a year since the band released the four-track EP, Hard Skool .

If such a record does arrive this year, it will be the band’s first full-length since Slash and Duff McKagan rejoined the fold back in 2016. The current GN'R roster sees Slash and McKagan line up alongside Axl Rose, Richard Fortus and Frank Ferrer.

The band’s 2021 tour contained a handful of notable highlights, including a show-stopping rendition of Paradise City for which the band called upon the six-string services of their support artist, Wolfgang Van Halen .

Slash Feat. Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators have confirmed a massive run of 2024 international dates. LATEST NEWS

General on sale for tickets begins Friday, October 20 at 10:00 AM local time, but fans can access pre-sale tickets from Thursday, October 19 at 10:00 AM local time by signing up at   https://laylo.com/slash/m/river-is-rising .  For tickets, pre-sale access and more information, visit: https://www.slashonline.com/tour/ .

A decade and four albums into their career, the universally acclaimed album 4 --which debuted as the #1 Most-Selling Hard Rock Album--is SMKC like you've never heard them before. A vibrant rock album fueled by memorable guitar hooks and compelling melodies, big choruses, and even bigger riffs, 4 hits on a wide range of sounds, styles, and moods in 10 songs, and does it all with laser-sharp musical focus and a lightning-in-a-bottle sense of immediacy.

The fourth studio album from SMKC and SLASH's fifth solo album overall, SLASH and his bandmates MYLES KENNEDY (Vocals), TODD KERNS (Bass & Vocals), BRENT FITZ (Drums), and FRANK SIDORIS (Guitar & Vocals), partnered with producer Dave Cobb (Chris Stapleton, John Prine, Jason Isbell, Brandi Carlile), on 4 resulting in the band's strongest album to date. Recorded at RCA Studio A in Nashville, Cobb shared the band's desire to lay down the tracks live in the studio--including guitar solos and vocals--revealing a stunning, vital sound and style all captured live.

The album kicks off with opening track “The River is Rising”—which reached #7 on the Rock Charts, making it the band's 8th, consecutive Top 10 hit single at radio—is one of the band's toughest and most dynamic compositions to date, unraveling via a menacing, tightly-coiled riff and deep-in-the-pocket groove. “April Fool” followed the successful first single “The River Is Rising”.

SMKC performed “The River Is Rising” which Rolling Stone hailed as “raucous” and Billboard acclaimed as “euphoric” with “a surging main riff, dissonant hooks, an infectious chorus, and a guitar solo that conjures images of a rowdy bar brawl” on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, HERE .

4 is a standout album that grabs hold, and never lets go, from the deliberate stomp rock of “Whatever Gets You By,” the bright-toned, heart-on-sleeve pop-rocker “Fill My World,” to the talk box-drenched guitar hooks of “C'est La Vie,” exotica-tinged psychedelic fever dream of “Spirit Love,” the anthemic swell of “The Path Less Followed,” to the cowbell-inflected boogie-shake of “Actions Speak Louder Than Words,” the grimy Aerosmith-esque funk of “April Fool,” to the rampaging attack of “Call Off the Dogs,” and climaxing with the epic, six minute album closer “Fall Back to Earth.”

SMKC's 2024 international dates mark some of the band's biggest headlining shows since the 2022 release of 4, which has generated some of the most positive critical accolades in the group's history.

About SLASH:

SLASH--the iconic, GRAMMY-winning, American rock guitarist, songwriter and film producer--has amassed album sales of over 100 million copies, garnered a GRAMMY Award and seven GRAMMY nominations, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and is a New York Times Best-selling author.

SLASH is considered one of the greatest rock guitar players of all time and one of the most recognizable faces in pop culture worldwide. Time magazine placed SLASH at #2 (Jimi Hendrix was #1) in its list, “The 10 Greatest Electric Guitar Players.” SLASH created signature sounds like the guitar riff on #1 hits for Guns N' Roses “Sweet Child o' Mine” and “Welcome To The Jungle.”

After leaving the band, SLASH went on to critical acclaim with SLASH's Snakepit and global success with the supergroup Velvet Revolver before embarking on his own solo career. After landing on the top of the charts with his first solo album, Slash (2010)--which featured Ozzy Osbourne, Fergie, Myles Kennedy and more--he formed his current band SLASH FT. MYLES KENNEDY & THE CONSPIRATORS (SMKC)--which features Myles Kennedy (lead vocals), Brent Fitz (drums), Todd Kerns (bass/vocals) and Frank Sidoris (rhythm guitar)--who've been touring worldwide and making music together non-stop for over a decade.

SLASH FT. MYLES KENNEDY & THE CONSPIRATORS (SMKC) released their debut album, Apocalyptic Love (2012) which stormed the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart debuting at #4 on the overall chart as well as the #1 Top Rock album, and spawned SLASH and the band's first-ever #1 solo radio hits “You're A Lie” and “Standing In The Sun.”

The band's second album, World On Fire (2016) debuted to global praise and the album's title track, “World On Fire” ascended to #1 at U.S. Rock Radio. In 2016, Guns N' Roses re-united and SLASH joined Axl Rose and Duff McKagan for the historic and ongoing world tour which Billboard magazine ranks as the third highest grossing tour of all time.

SLASH FT. MYLES KENNEDY & THE CONSPIRATORS released their third album Living The Dream (2018) which Rolling Stone declared “a biting blues filigree at the end of a riff, weeping solos full of long notes and boogie-woogie riffs” and the Los Angeles Times added is full of “unexpected funk, boogie, blues and garage rock influences.”

Living The Dream debuted with 10, Top 10 Chart placements across the globe fueled by the Top 5 song “ Driving Rain .” The group's first new music in four years, SMKC released their vibrant new album 4 via Gibson Records --the iconic American guitar brands' newly established record label—which debuted as the #1 Most-Selling Hard Rock Album on February 11, 2022 and has earned the group the best critical acclaim of their career.

The band's strongest collective statement to date, 4, was co-produced by Dave Cobb (Chris Stapleton, Jason Isbell, John Prine, Rival Sons), and recorded at the famed RCA Studio A in Nashville, revealing a stunning, vital, sound and style, all captured live. The first single off 4 “The River Is Rising” marked SMKC's 8th, consecutive Top 10 hit single at radio. Rolling Stone hailed the song as “raucous,” and Billboard called it “euphoric” with “a surging main riff, dissonant hooks, an infectious chorus, and a guitar solo that conjures images of a rowdy bar brawl.”

The album kicks off with opening track “The River is Rising”—which reached #7 on the Rock Charts, making it the band’s 8 t h , consecutive Top 10 hit single at radio—is one of the band’s toughest and most dynamic compositions to date, unraveling via a menacing, tightly-coiled riff and deep-in-the-pocket groove. “April Fool” followed the successful first single “The River Is Rising”. SMKC’s 2024 international dates mark some of the band’s biggest headlining shows since the 2022 release of 4, which has generated some of the most positive critical accolades in the group’s history including:

“musically stinging crunch-rock… beautifully melodic.”

“On 4, the fourth record by Slash Featuring Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators , he [Slash] captured the mojo he was after by recording most of the album live in a mere 10 days at Nashville’s RCA Studio A... For Slash, recording off the cuff was as liberating as he had hoped it would be, and not second-guessing himself contributed to the album’s eclecticism. There’s the heart-aching power ballad ‘Fall Back to Earth’ the glam-banging ‘Actions Speak Louder Than Words’ and the euphoric first single, ‘The River Is Rising,’ which features a surging main riff, dissonant hooks, an infectious chorus and a guitar solo that conjures images of a rowdy bar brawl.”

“On the album, Slash delivers a collection of unflinching hard rock riffs that showcase his tenure as a world-class guitarist.”

-THE TENNESSEAN

“From the insistent churn of the opening track and first single ‘The River Is Rising,’ to the slippery funk rhythms of ‘April Fool,’ the dinosaur-sized stomp of ‘Whatever Gets You By’ to the off-to-the-races sprint of ‘Call Of The Dogs,’ 4 hits with the immediacy of a great live show. …Slash & Co color outside the lines on tracks like the slinky, Eastern-tinged ‘Spirit Love’ and the uncharacteristically major-key pop-rock workout ‘Fill My World,’ as well as the widescreen epic ballad ‘Fall Back to Earth’ which closes the record in dramatic fashion. Overall, it’s a leaner, harder and more expansive take on the SMKC sound.”

-GUITAR WORLD (Cover)

“The whole album is a masterpiece. If you want to know what real rock-and-roll sounds like, crack it up nice and loud.”

-METAL INSIDER

“Album opener (and highlight) ‘The River Is Rising’ will be a live favorite, thanks to a stomping, Motörhead-style outro, steeped in Lemmy and Phil Taylor-isms. Elsewhere, ‘April Fool’ impresses thanks to a frankly filthy riff, while ballad ‘Fill My World’ is a proper showstopper.”

-HOT PRESS (Ireland)

“An impressive feat.”

-AMERICAN SONGWRITER (Cover)

“While there’s undeniable links to Zeppelin in the final product, hints of country guitar stylings are also evident in some of Slash’s remarkable guitar solos. On the very Guns N’ Roses styled track, ‘April Fool,’ Slash leans into the riff as the band hit the chordal accents in time. The guitar tone has serious bite, especially in the solo, where Slash drops in some nuanced country guitar licks.”

-LOUD (Australia)

“Slithering solos and crunchy choruses.”

-DAILY MAIL

“Through the decades, Guitar hero Slash has gone beyond his Guns N’ Roses roots to create powerful collaborations with groups like Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators, this team’s recent endeavor is a powerful album simply titled ‘4’, on the brand new record label Gibson Records.”

-GOLDMINE (Cover)

“At this point the Slash crew is well-honed, and 4 shows off the quintet's brawny confidence along with a seamless interweaving of sources. In ‘The River Is Rising’- the opening track and first single - the quintet tears through a thunderous mingling of grunge (think Alice in Chains' ‘Man in the Box’) with Tom Morello-leaning solo, ‘Paradise City’-style tempo changes and even a wink at Deep Purple 's ‘Crazy’ at the very end. Not bad for a mere 3:42, and the confluence does not sound at all forced. … ‘The Path Less Followed’ is a cranking, punching riff rocker while ‘Actions Speak Louder Than Words’ chugs into heavy boogie… The six-and-a-half-minute [Fall Back to Earth’] comes like a hard-rock James Bond theme, dramatic and careening through texture changes as well as one of Slash's trademark, biting solos - shades of the Use Your Illusion era.”

-ULTIMATE CLASSIC ROCK

“A solid album jam packed with soaring vocals, unforgettable melodies, large choruses, and riffs that will blow your mind.”

“The ‘River Is Rising’ marks the first new music in three years from Slash and his band, and it doesn’t disappoint. There’s a metallic stomp to the track, which opens with a tremolo riff that would be at home in a black metal song. From there, quintet lock into a four-on-the-floor groove as Kennedy alternates between epic singing and cleaner melodies during the chorus. Overall, there’s plenty to satiate both hard rock and metal fans”.

-CONSEQUENCE OF SOUND

Myles Kennedy And The Conspirators rein:

Die neuen internationalen Tour-Termine von Slash und seinen Bandkollegen sind einige der größten Headline-Konzerte seit dem Album-Release. Sichert euch die Tickets für die vier neuen Slash Deutschland-Konzerte 2024 am Donnerstag im Presale bei Ticketmaster und erlebt die Rocklegende im April live!

SLASH’s star-studded debut blues album, Orgy of the Damned , is a collection of 12 dynamic songs that shakes up and revitalizes blues classics with a stripped-down, instinctive approach , creating a singular expression that pays homage to the blues .

Celebrating both well-known and largely undiscovered songs, SLASH offers a nostalgic nod to the past while reinvigorating the songs with his inimitable guitar playing and the spirit of collaboration. For Orgy of the Damned , the acclaimed guitarist reteamed with storied producer Mike Clink and enlisted the album’s diverse guest vocalists, which include Gary Clark Jr, Billy F. Gibbons, Chris Stapleton, Dorothy, Iggy Pop, Paul Rodgers, Demi Lovato, Brian Johnson, Tash Neal, Chris Robinson , and Beth Hart, in a similar way to his 2010 self-titled solo LP Slash . Rounding out his band in the studio and on the road, SLASH reunited with two of his bandmates from his Blues Ball outfit in the 90s, bassist Johnny Griparic and keyboardist Teddy ‘ZigZag’ Andreadis , and brought on drummer Michael Jerome and singer/guitarist Tash Neal.

The first single “Killing Floor,” –which features Brian Johnson of AC/DC on vocals, and Steven Tyler of Aerosmith on harmonica –is an electrifying, raucous and gleefully unbridled take on Howlin’ Wolf’s 1964 Chicago blues standard; stream “Killing Floor,” now HERE . Watch/share the new video for “Killing Floor,” which offers a first look at SLASH and his Blues bandrecording the song in the studio HERE .

Although he grew up in England, SLASH’s American grandmother turned him on to the blues early on, and he was immediately taken with B.B. King . At the same time, his parents raised him on a healthy diet of 60s British rock ‘n’ roll, from The Who to The Kinks . Once he moved to Laurel Canyon , SLASH found himself surrounded by rock and folk singers like Joni Mitchell, Crosby, Stills & Nash, and Neil Young —all of whom eventually inspired his playing and songwriting. It wasn’t until he began playing guitar himself that SLASH realized all of his favorite musicians had been influenced by the same B.B. King blues records he’d listened to as a young kid.

Orgy of the Damned encompasses a broad range of styles within the blues genre, veering from an upbeat, rowdy take on Robert Johnson’s “Crossroads” to a plaintive, twanging rendition of T. Bone Walker’s “Stormy Monday.” Some of the songs, like Steppenwolf’s “The Pusher,” Charlie Segar’s “Key to the Highway,” and Albert King’s “Born Under a Bad Sign,” had been performed by Slash’s Blues Ball, while others, like Stevie Wonder’s “Living for the City,” were long-time favorites for SLASH . “Hoochie Coochie Man,” written by Willie Dixon and made famous by Muddy Waters in 1954 , showcases the in-the-moment nature and unrestrained energy of Orgy of the Damned , with Z.Z. Top’s Billy F. Gibbons stepping in on guitar and vocals. The group went into a rehearsal room in North Hollywood and began hashing out soulful, rollicking takes on the classic songs . Everything was played live in the room , with an emphasis on improvisation which resulted in a collection of dynamic, energized songs that are immediate, raw, and distinctly familiar.

A vibrant homage to the Blues, Orgy of the Damned is a landmark moment in SLASH’s career and a rare opportunity to bring to the forefront a rollicking musical journey through his Blues inspirations that have long been in the background of his illustrious career.

SLASH’s Orgy of the Damned is available digitally, on vinyl and CD via Gibson Records for pre-order HERE . Preview the album HERE , and for more information, go to www.slashonline.com .

A rock-solid powerhouse and a curated 21-song salute to some of their own best material… As long as Slash is standing, rock music will always be alive and well.”  – CHICAGO SUN TIMES Slash Feat. Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators  have confirmed a massive run of 2024 international dates.

The newly announced  The River Is Rising-Rest of the World Tour ’24  will kick off with the band’s return to  Mexico City’s Pepsi Centre WTC,  and will see  SMKC  hit  21 countries,  and  32 cities  across the globe.

General on sale for tickets begins  Friday, October 20 at 10:00 AM local time , but fans can access pre-sale tickets from  Thursday, October 19 at 10:00 AM local time  by signing up at   https://laylo.com/slash/m/river-is-rising .

For tickets, pre-sale access and more information, visit:  https://www.slashonline.com/tour/ . A decade and four albums into their career, the universally acclaimed album  4  –which debuted as the  #1 Most-Selling Hard Rock Album –is  SMKC  like you’ve never heard them before.  A vibrant rock album  fueled by  memorable guitar hooks  and  compelling melodies, big choruses , and  even bigger riffs ,  4  hits on awide range of sounds, styles, and moods in 10 songs, and does it all with  laser-sharp musical focus  and  alightning-in-a-bottle sense of immediacy .  The fourth studio album from  SMKC  and  SLASH’s  fifth solo album overall,  SLASH  and his bandmates  MYLES KENNEDY  (Vocals),  TODD KERNS  (Bass & Vocals),  BRENT FITZ  (Drums), and  FRANK SIDORIS (Guitar & Vocals), partnered with producer  Dave Cobb  (Chris Stapleton, John Prine, Jason Isbell, Brandi Carlile), on  4  resulting in the band’s strongest album to date.

Recorded at  RCA Studio A  in  Nashville, Cobb shared the band’s desire to lay down the tracks live in the studio–including  guitar solos  and  vocals –revealing a  stunning, vital sound and styleall captured live .  Listen to  SMKC’s  album  4 , available everywhere via  Gibson Records HERE . The album kicks off with opening track  “The River is Rising” —which reached  #7  on the  Rock Charts , making it the band’s  8 t h ,  consecutive Top 10 hit single at radio —is one of the band’s toughest and most dynamic compositions to date, unraveling via a menacing, tightly-coiled riff and deep-in-the-pocket groove.  “April Fool”  followed the successful first single  “The River Is Rising” .  SMKC  performed  “The River Is Rising”  which  Rolling Stone  hailed as  “raucous”  and  Billboard  acclaimed as “ euphoric”  with “ a surging main riff, dissonant hooks, an infectious chorus, and a guitar solo that conjures images of a rowdy bar brawl”  on  Jimmy Kimmel Live! ,  HERE . 4is a standout album thatgrabs hold, and never lets go , from the deliberate stomp rock of  “Whatever Gets You By,”  the bright-toned, heart-on-sleeve pop-rocker  “Fill My World,”  to the talk box-drenched guitar hooks of  “C’est La Vie,”  exotica-tinged psychedelic fever dream of  “Spirit Love,”  the anthemic swell of  “The Path Less Followed,”  to the cowbell-inflected boogie-shake of  “Actions Speak Louder Than Words,”  the grimy Aerosmith-esque funk of  “April Fool,”  to the rampaging attack of  “Call Off the Dogs,”  and climaxing with the epic, six minute album closer  “Fall Back to Earth.”  SMKC’s 2024  international dates mark some of the band’s biggest headlining shows since the 2022 release of  4 , which has generated some of the most positive critical accolades in the group’s history including: “musically stinging crunch-rock …  beautifully melodic.”    – USA TODAY “On 4, the fourth record by  Slash Featuring Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators , he [Slash] captured the mojo he was after by recording most of the album live in a mere 10 days at Nashville’s RCA Studio A… For Slash, recording off the cuff was as liberating as he had hoped it would be, and not second-guessing himself contributed to the album’s eclecticism. There’s the  heart-aching power ballad ‘Fall Back to Earth’  the  glam-banging ‘Actions Speak Louder Than Words’  and the  euphoric first single, ‘The River Is Rising, ‘ which features  a surging main riff, dissonant hooks, an infectious chorus  and a guitar solo that conjures images of a rowdy bar brawl.”   – BILLBOARD “On the album,  Slash delivers  a collection of  unflinching hard rock riffs  that showcase his tenure as a world-class guitarist.”   – THE TENNESSEAN   “From the insistent churn of the opening track and first single ‘The River Is Rising,’ to the  slippery funk rhythms of ‘April Fool,’  the  dinosaur-sized stomp of ‘Whatever Gets You By’ t o the off-to-the-races sprint of ‘Call Of The Dogs,’  4  hits with the immediacy of a great live show . … Slash & Co color outside the lines on tracks like the  slinky, Eastern-tinged ‘Spirit Love’  and the uncharacteristically major-key  pop-rock workout ‘Fill My World, ‘ as well as the widescreen  epic ballad ‘Fall Back to Earth’  which closes the record in dramatic fashion. Overall, it’s  a leaner, harder and more expansive take on the SMKC sound .”   – GUITAR WORLD   (Cover) “ The whole album is a masterpiece . If you want to know what real rock-and-roll sounds like, crack it up nice and loud.”   – METAL INSIDER   “Album opener (and highlight) ‘The River Is Rising’ will be a live favorite, thanks to  a stomping, Motörhead-style outro, steeped in Lemmy and Phil Taylor-isms . Elsewhere,  ‘April Fool’ impresses  thanks to  a frankly filthy riff , while  ballad ‘Fill My World’ is   a proper showstopper .” – HOT PRESS  (Ireland) “An impressive feat.” – AMERICAN SONGWRITER  (Cover)   “While there’s undeniable links to Zeppelin in the final product, hints of country guitar stylings are also evident in some of  Slash’s remarkable guitar solos . On the very Guns N’ Roses styled track, ‘ April Fool,’ Slash leans into the riff as the band hit the chordal accents in time. The guitar tone has serious bite, especially in the solo, where Slash drops in some nuanced country guitar licks .” – LOUD  (Australia)   “ Slithering solos and crunchy choruses .”  – DAILY MAIL “Through the decades, Guitar hero  Slash  has gone beyond his Guns N’ Roses roots to create powerful collaborations with groups like  Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators , this team’s recent endeavor is  a powerful album simply titled  ‘4 ‘ , on the brand new record label Gibson Records.” – GOLDMINE  (Cover)   “At this point the Slash crew is well-honed, and  4  shows off the quintet’s brawny confidence along with a seamless interweaving of sources . In ‘ The River Is Rising’-  the opening track and first single –  the quintet tears through a thunderous mingling of grunge  (think Alice in Chains’ ‘Man in the Box’) with Tom Morello-leaning solo, ‘Paradise City’-style tempo changes and even a wink at  Deep Purple ‘s ‘Crazy’ at the very end. Not bad for a mere 3:42, and the confluence does not sound at all forced. …  ‘The Path Less Followed’ is a cranking, punching riff rocker   while ‘Actions Speak Louder Than Words’ chugs into heavy boogie … The six-and-a-half-minute [Fall Back to Earth’] comes like a hard-rock James Bond theme, dramatic and careening through texture changes as well as one of Slash’s trademark, biting solos – shades of the Use Your Illusion era.” – ULTIMATE CLASSIC ROCK   “ A solid album jam packed with soaring vocals, unforgettable melodies, large choruses, and riffs that will blow your mind .” – AQUARIAN “The ‘River Is Rising’ marks the first new music in three years from  Slash  and his band, and  it doesn’t disappoint . There’s a  metallic stomp to the track , which opens with a tremolo riff that would be at home in a black metal song. From there, quintet lock into  a four-on-the-floor groove  as  Kennedy  alternates between  epic singing  and cleaner melodies during the chorus. Overall, there’s  plenty to satiate both hard rock and metal fans” .  – CONSEQUENCE OF SOUND Support on the various dates of  SMKC’s The River Is Rising-Rest of the World Tour ’24  will come from  Mammoth WVH ; see dates below for a full list of details with additional shows to be announced soon. The first leg of the River Is Rising tour comprised of 28 North American shows played in February and March 2022, after the release of SMKC's fourth album, 4 , and before Guns N' Roses resumed their own European schedule.

"It’s something that you just figure out," Slash told Classic Rock in 2022 . "Doing a Guns tour, the focus is all on Guns N’ Roses. And as soon as that’s over, I switch gears and go into preparing for whatever the Conspirators are doing. So by force of necessity, you have to be able to juggle all of that."

Full dates below. The general ticket sale begins Friday, October 20 at 10:00 AM local time.

Based in Orlando, Florida, Alter Bridge formed out of the remnants of popular hard rock act Creed, offering a more melodic, metal sound than the post-grunge of their past act.

After Creed came to an end in 2004, members Mark Tremonti (lead guitar), Brian Marshall (bass) and Scott Phillips (drums) joined forces with ex-The Mayfield Four singer and guitarist, Myles Kennedy. Forming Alter Bridge, the band quickly got to work on their debut album, "One Day Remains," which found great success, eventually being certified Gold. The virtuosic guitar talent of Tremonti and the powerful vocals of Kennedy helped the album stand apart from Creed's discography.

After touring globally in support of the album, the band left their label, Wind Up, and moved to Universal imprint, Republic. Returning to the studio for their second effort, 2007's "Blackbird," Alter Bridge found success with the lead single, "Rise Today," finding widespread positive critical acclaim, displaying a greater songwriting influence of Kennedy.

In 2009, Creed reformed and Alter Bridge was put on the back burner by the members, with Kennedy joining Slash's touring band. Yet a year later, Alter Bridge was back in full force, returning with the album, "AB III." A live album of their stadium-sized performance, "Live at Wembley: European Tour" soon followed, which displayed their anthemic abilities. Praise continued for Alter Bridge with their fourth record, "Fortress," which was released to positive acclaim in 2013.

Live-Bewertungen

Reports that straightforward, no-frills hard rock is dead have been greatly exaggerated; if you need proof of that, Alter Bridge would be more than happy to provide it. They’ve only been going for a decade, and they’re hardly household names, but they’re already veterans of the UK arena circuit, and were second only to the mighty Aerosmith on the bill for this year’s final day of Download Festival. Frontman Myles Kennedy has a prodigious work ethic; his other job, if you can call it that, is fronting Slash’s band, and he tours extensively with both outfits. Despite everything he puts it through, though, his voice remains as fierce as ever; he has one of the finest deliveries in modern rock, with the kind of classic sound that allows him to pull of Guns n’ Roses classics with Slash as well as sound genuinely aggressive and forward-thinking on Bridge material. Last year, the band’s fourth record, Fortress, met with superb reviews, with an average of 81 on Metacritic; it also saw them solidify their reputation as one of the finest live acts in rock, with a UK arena tour enjoying a rapturous reception in October of last year. Kennedy will be back on Slash duty in those same huge rooms later this year, putting Alter Bridge temporarily on the back burner; rumour has it, though, that they’re already lining up UK dates for 2015.

The Raven Age standing in for Sevendust gave an energetic but altogether forgettable performance.

Shinedown excelled with crowd pleasing hits and incredible stage presence connecting with the audience in a unique way.

But the crown goes to the main guys AB for most incredible and memorable performance, possibly of the year for most of us. Electrifying the crowd with the sheer magnitude of their presence they filled the gigantic arena effortlessly. They tore the atmosphere with heavy classics such as Cry of Achilles, tore our heartstrings with light acoustic numbers such as Watch Over You, brought us to the present with new fan favourites such as Native Son from their latest album Walk the Sky before sealing the deal with the immortal Blackbird and a beautiful encore including the very apt Godspeed.

These guys are already known for their humble and friendly manner on stage and off and this was greater emphasized with this engaging appearance. With such times as Myles' controlling the audience to 'Santa Tremonti' giving away his signature PRS guitar to the crowd member who 'went the wildest' during Pay No Mind this band cannot be more loveable nor revered.

The perfect way to end such a busy and exciting year for rock, Alter Bridge have quite nicely cemented their place as the greatest active rock band of our times.

Wow, Alter Bridge were amazing to see live. My wife and I got the VIP upgrade. There was a delay for the VIP part (about 1.5 hours late which at the time was annoying), but after that it was fantastic. The meet and greet part was pretty quick, but shaking hands with my idols was amazing. The photo with the band was also pretty quick so make sure you have your game face ready (I sort of look like a dork with a smile from ear to ear). Our venue nearly forgot (or did forget) about the sound check, but then we ended up getting in to hear it before the opening band (Like A Storm) came onstage. Sound check was great as well. Myles and the band had a bit of a laugh with us here.

The opening band Like A Storm were really good. They had a short set list, and also played T.N.T from Australian rock heroes AC/DC which got the crowd involved.

When Alter bridge came out, the crowd went crazy. They are amazing entertainers, and really know how to put on a good show.

I would definitely go to another Alter abridge show, and would also do the VIP upgrade again.

Cheers Alter Bridge.

I've seen Alter Bridge several times now since discovering them 4 or 5 years ago and this was the best of the lot. They are a band currently at the top of their game as regards performing. The new album is great and it's good to see Myles playing more lead. He's a great lead player. But then there's Tremonti, who is absolutely incredible. His playing is effortless. Between them they are among the best front pair out there today in my opinion.

Some different songs in the set list this year and one or two of my favourites didn't make it in, but overall it was bloody great. Kennedy is a perfect gentleman and all round nice bloke and whilst he might not run around like Axl Rose, he is engaging and interacts well with the crowd.

This show also had Like A Storm ,Gojira and Volbeat on the bill, so an incredible night's entertainment. 10/10

What can I say...... A fantastic evening of live music topped off by Myles & co..... I watched them 2 weeks earlier in Manchester which I'd have to rate as 7 out of 10..... But seeing them in the first direct arena at Leeds I'd rate at 9 out of 10...... Only negative for me was having gojira as one of the support acts whose music genre was completely at odds with the rest of the other bands...... Which inc " like a storm" & "volbeat" who were fabulous and could probably healined the venue..... Excellent value for money and would encourage all those fledgling rockers to go see these bands.....

I'd never seen a didgeridoo used in a metal band until that evening! Like a storm

Well, the line up was pretty great. Not a fan of anything as heavy as Gojira but the others were great.

Alter Bridge rattled through a large catalogue of tracks with great professionalism and style. There was only one problem - the sound quality. Frankly it was crap. I've seen other bands at Leeds First Direct and never had this problem so can only assume it was the setup on this occasion. Overly loud and distorted. Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with loud, but there was no clarity at all. Myles's vocals were lost in a bass ridden mess of sound, and Mark's lightening work on the frets was frankly lost.

Really disappointed as I'd so looked forward to this concert.

Alter Bridge was awesome. They put on a kick ass show. The meet and greet however, feels a little bit impersonal. The access to the soundcheck is awesome and I loved that part, but meeting the band was super quick, like less than a minute. I didn’t expect much, but not even a handshake? I just decided to enjoy it for what it was. They were awesome dudes and I will see them again.

I saw them at the Wiltern in L.A. The staff was nice for the most part. When my friend needed medical attention because she full blown passed out and fell on the floor, they weren’t very prepared, but the medic was a very nice guy who I 10 out of 10 would see if I was dying.

It wasn’t my first AB show and for sure tours after new album pay the need to play new not so famous songs.

And for sure Myles Kennedy (have seen him many times also with Slash) isn’t a “showman”....

But he’s just one of the best singer in the story of rock and Tremonti has written and play “hard” so beautiful songs that the audience seems ecstatic .. and honestly me with them. The audience chorus after “open your eyes” made Myles thrill to the point of making him say that he was experiencing one of his most beautiful performances.

Would definitely like a refund or another show put on WITHOUT the glaring IN YOUR FACE lights throughout the concert. I came to see the band perform...not just hear them which I could have done at home listening to their albums. Many of the other concert goers had the same complaint. Very disappointed that the lights shined on us and not the performers. I have attended many of their past concerts from the beginning of their existance and totally enjoyed them but this was a waste of money and irritating to say the least. Shame on you Alter bridge!
