We're into the final day of this year's race, so a Tour de France stage 21 live stream is going to be a hot ticket if you want to watch the riders make their final journey into Paris. The Tour de France is free-to-air on ITVX (UK) and SBS On-Demand (AUS) . Make sure you know how to watch for free with a VPN from anywhere .

The 2023 Tour de France is coming to an end and stage 21 is the final chance for the sprinters to battle it out on Paris' most famous avenue, the Champs Élysées. All of the jerseys are wrapped up so we should see the typical champagne-filled procession in and around Paris.

The final stage begins at the Velodrome de Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines before setting off on the journey back into Paris where yellow jersey winner, Jonas Vingegaard, will no doubt enjoy some champagne on the road with his teammates. Once they hit the city, the peloton will pass the Arc de Triomphe and the Louvre multiple times before the wind-up for the final sprint begins. Alpecin-Deceuninck have been the best leadout unit at the 2023 Tour, with Jasper Philipsen winning four flat sprints. The flying Belgian should have Mathieu van der Poel and co. working to bring him to the final trip up the Champs Élysées safely before he looks to win the final Tour stage for the second year running. Groenewegen was closest to him last year and will be one of the other sprinters left after a brutal Tour trying to dethrone the green jersey wearer.

With one final stage remaining, it’s helpful to know there are plenty of channels around the world broadcasting Tour de France 2023 live streams to help you keep up with the last bit of action. Here's how to watch stage 21 of the Tour de France 2023 .

Tour de France stage 21: the route

Stage 21: Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines to Paris Champs-Élysées (Sunday, July 23) The final stage of the 2023 Tour de France is the typical processional stage in and around Paris. It starts at the Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines Velodrome which will play host to the track cycling at next year's Olympic Games, before looping back east towards the French capital. The 115.1km route is incredibly flat and only has one category four climb, but that won't threaten Giulio Ciccone's lead of the polka-dot classification. It's all set for the sprinters' royale on the Champs-Élysées with the fast men and leadouts ready to fight for position and battle for the win after completing nine laps of the Parisian circuit. The long finishing road on Paris's most famous avenue has long played host to the final Tour and was last won by Jasper Philipsen, holder of the green jersey, who will be the favourite for the day.

Tour de France stage seven - first mountain stage

Stage-by-stage guide

Live Reporting

Steve Sutcliffe

All times stated are UK

I'll see you for stage eight which begins at Dole in France and travels a 186.3km route before ending up at Lausanne in Switzerland.

Surely that'll be a day for the breakaway to succeed?

Anyway before I head off have a read of report on stage seven.

See you around 12:30 BST on Saturday.

Post update

That finish was horrible on the legs but Peter Sagan still found time to do a wheelie up the final section of the climb!

Elsewhere in the peloton Chris Froome came home safe and sound and has moved up to 50th in the GC.

'We haven't even done a proper mountain stage yet' - Thomas

Thomas

The 2018 Tour de France champion Geraint Thomas speaking after stage seven: "I'd love to say I held a bit back. I'd rode the climb and the last bit I tried to hold back a bit because it is so steep at the end, you don't want to blow there basically.

"I think I judged it alright, it's just a shame that [Primoz] Roglic came past me but it was nice to be in the mix.

"It's good that we [the Ineos Grenadiers riders] are all there for going into the next two weeks as well. We haven't even done a proper mountain stage yet. We will try to use those numbers sensibly and not just attack for the hell of it and see what we can do."

And here are the special shoes that Tadej Pogacar mentioned... now we know why.

Tadej Pogacar was already on his way back down the mountain to conduct his press duties long before the final riders finished.

Pogacar

'It was a really special day' - Pogacar

Pogacar

Stage seven winner and overall race leader Tadej Pogacar: "It was really really difficult, especially in the last part where Jonas (Vingegaard) attacked, he was so strong.

"But I said yeah, my boys were working all day so I had to push to the finish line. It was a really special day. We opened a foundation today for cancer research, so I wore special shoes just for today, and I'm really happy proud to take this win on Planche des Belle Filles.

"It was in my mind already a really really long time, maybe since the route was announced, and it was difficult to win today."

"I think right now Vingegaard is one of the strongest climbers in the world, probably the best climber in the world and a really compact rider with a really strong team around him."

The likes of Fabio Jakobsen, Marc Hirschi, and Vegard Stake Laengen crawl over the finish line with the broom wagon just behind.

They are well within the time limit of course but it once again highlights the difference between the top climbers and those with disparate ambitions.

General classification after stage seven

Here's how things look at the top of the general classification:

1. Tadej Pogacar (Slo/UAE Team Emirates) 23hrs 43mins 14secs

2. Jonas Vingegaard (Den/Jumbo-Visma) +35 secs

3. Geraint Thomas (GB/Ineos Grenadiers) +1mins 10secs

4. Adam Yates (GB/Ineos Grenadiers) +1mins 18secs

5. David Gaudu (Fra/Groupama-FDJ) +1mins 31secs

6. Romain Bardet (Fra/DSM) +1mins 32secs

7. Tom Pidcock (GB/Ineos Grenadiers) +1mins 35secs

8. Neilson Powless (US/EF Education-EasyPost +1mins 37secs

9. Enric Mas (Spa/Movistar) +1mins 43secs

10. Daniel Martinez (Col/Ineos Grenadiers) +1mins 55secs

Podium set?

So a second consecutive stage win for Tadej Pogacar, who moved into the yellow jersey with his win in Longwy on Thursday.

Will that be the podium in Paris? I have a sneaking feeling the top three could be the same (bar crashes) until the race concludes but in what order?

Amid all the drama it's easy to forget that final climb is an absolute beast.

Thomas moves up to third in general classification

Really encouraging performance from Geraint Thomas. The 2018 champion moves up to third in the GC standings behind Tadej Pogacar and Jonas Vingegaard.

Stage seven results

1. Tadej Pogacar (Slo/UAE Team Emirates) 3hrs 58mins 40secs

2. Jonas Vingegaard (Den/Jumbo-Visma) Same time

3. Primoz Roglic (Slo/Jumbo-Visma) +12 secs

4. Lennard Kamna (Ger/Bora-Hansgrohe) +14secs

5. Geraint Thomas (GB/Ineos Grenadiers) Same time

6. David Gaudu (Fra/Groupama/FDJ) +19secs

7. Enric Mas (Spa/Movistar) +21secs

8. Romain Bardet (Fra/DSM) Same time

9. Adam Yates (GB/Ineos Grenadiers) +29secs

10. Sepp Kuss (US/Jumbo-Visma) +41secs

Tadej Pogacar

Was Tadej Pogacar even out of breath at atop La Super Planche des Belle Filles?

I've just watched that finish back and he raises his arm after winning a little like he's just been out on a 100km training ride.

Primoz Roglic rolls over the line in third with Lennard Kamna followed over by Geraint Thomas.

What a finish that was.

Pogacar wins stage seven

Tadej Pogacar pips Jonas Vingegaard in the last 25m. Wow.

How deep did he go there? Sensational finale.

Lennard Kamna is going to be caught....

Jonas Vingegaard is past him, back comes Tadej Pogacar....

Jonas Vingegaard attacks... he steams past Tadej Pogacar.

Adam Yates has been dropped....

Geraint Thomas is still on Tadej Pogacar's wheel.

Lennard Kamna is on the steep gravel section. He has 25 seconds as he hits the 24% gradient.

Geraint Thomas and Adam Yates sat on the wheels of Tadej Pogacar...

Pogacar attacks....Thomas goes with him. Jonas Vingegaard and Primoz Roglic are going as welll.

Live on ITV4

Series overview:

ITV will bring viewers comprehensive live coverage of the 108th Tour de France, which begins on Saturday 26 June in Brest.

Presenter Gary Imlach is joined on ITV4 by commentators Ned Boulting and David Millar, reporters Daniel Friebe and Matt Rendell along with former Team Sky rider Peter Kennaugh and racing legend Chis Boardman for expert analysis during the 21-stage race.    Featuring the longest stage of the Tour since 2000, 154 miles between Vierzon and Le Creusot, along with six mountain stages and three finishes at altitude, this time the world's most famous road cycling race visits the Alps, the Pyrenees, the Morvan and the Massif Central before ending at its traditional home, the Champs-Elysees in Paris, on Sunday July 18.

Originally due to start in July in Copenhagen, the tour was rescheduled to June because of the upcoming Olympic Games. Due to restrictions, the presentation team will again be based at Maidstone Studios this year, with Daniel Friebe on hand in France to capture riders' reactions.

It is the twelfth time ITV4 has screened daily live coverage and extended highlights of the Tour, with more than 85 hours of live cycling to be shown during the event.

As well as daily updates from the men's Tour, ITV4's coverage will include live footage from La Course women's race on June 26, won in 2020 by Britain's Lizzie Deignan.

Last year's Tour winner Tadej Pogačar will go into the race as a strong favourite along with Primož Roglič who he beat to the 2020 title, while British hopes could rest on Ineos Grenadiers duo Geraint Thomas and Tao Geoghegan-Hart, or Simon Yates, who produced a third-placed finish at the Giro, while four-time winner Chris Froome is due to line up for his new team Israel Start-Up Nation.   This is a Vsquared production for ITV4.

Press Pack Interviews   GARY IMLACH

Who do you think will win this year, and why?

"I really don’t know, but I’ve a feeling that if Primoz Roglic doesn’t win the Tour this year he may never win it. And after losing the yellow jersey on the penultimate stage last year he’ll be hoping to put the result beyond reasonable doubt well before then."

What do you think will be the key stage in this year's Tour, and why?

"After last year’s late drama, I think it could once again come down to the final time trial the day before Paris. There are two of them on this year’s route, totalling 58km, and for all the spectacle and drama of the mountain stages they’re likely to decide the race."

Is there anything you’re particularly looking forward to this time?

"A visit to Mont Ventoux is always a grand occasion and this year, for the first time, the riders will be climbing it twice in a single stage. It should be a great day."

CHRIS BOARDMAN

"Roglich is my tip. We forget how consistent he was last year, faltering only once, at the last. He’ll be hungrier than anyone in 2021 but as he’ll have been race free since the spring, this is a faith-based prediction. He’ll have a good team behind him and no one has shone enough to challenge for leadership in his absence so the hierarchy at Jumbo-Visma is clear."

"With several young riders close on recent form and climbing ability, the time trials will likely shape this edition of the race. Rather than shut it down and make a defensive contest, with so many good time trialist's - Thomas, Pogacar and Roglich amongst them - then final rolling TT may provide a platform to steel the jersey -as Pogacar did in 2021 - on the penultimate day."

"A close race. 2021 feels more open than ever with at least 4 strong favourites (Carapaz, Thomas, Pogacar and Roglich) with half a dozen just behind who could take the prize if the circumstance fall just right. Rain on the descent to Le Grand Bornand or cross winds on the road to Nimes before the final rest day could change everything."

MATT RENDELL

"Richard Carapaz. If he can rediscover the form that won him the 2019 Giro d'Italia, when Primož Roglič was powerless to stop him, he will be unbeatable. And his personal friendship with probably the best pure climber in the sport, the Movistar leader Miguel Angel López – they share a passion for fishing – could prove key to deciding the Tour."

"Stage 9, finishing at Tignes, the town that the 2019 Tour never reached. A tough mountain stage, the day before the first rest day. The next 12 days of racing will be a response to whatever happens there."

"All those astonishing chateaux along the Loire that we will see on stages 6 and 7, including the Château du Clos Lucé where Leonardo da Vinci died in 1519. It stands inside the Val de Loire UNESCO World Heritage site."

DANIEL FRIEBE

"I’ll err on the side of caution & the force of an apparently époque-defining, possibly sport-redefining talent in Tadej Pogačar. He will be severely tested by INEOS & Roglič, of course, but one thorough Pog-cineration in the mountains will put him out of reach."

"Grand Tours are now so close (not one has been won by more than three minutes since the 2016 Tour) that the last major stage is almost always decisive. This year that means the Saint-Émilion time-trial, although I’d be astonished & delighted if it was as dramatic as last year’s final act at La Planche des Belles Filles."

"An obvious choice but the battle of the Slovenians will be riveting, not least because, in the eyes of the wider public, last year’s heartbreak has transformed Roglič from inscrutable cyborg into the sentimental choice & would-be people’s champion."

2021 Tour de France live stream: How to watch Stage 19 of the race online

A guide on watching the 2021 Tour de France on TV and how to stream the cycling event online

2021 Tour de France live stream: how to watch online

The 2021 Tour de France coverage is almost over, concluding with Stage 21 on Sunday, July 18. It began on Saturday, June 26. Race coverage begins at around at 6 a.m. ET on Peacock and NBCSN. Full schedule of stages below.

The excitement is almost over, as the 2021 Tour de France live streams finish this Sunday, with Stage 21. That said, everything feels final for the overall winner seems obvious. Yesterday, Stage 18 saw Tadej Pogacar win and keep the yellow jersey, solidifying the fact that he's likely winning the whole thing.

Today, on the 207km route to Libourne, most eyes will be on a pair chasing at the points. Michael Matthews (from Australia, representing Team BikeExchange), is on the tail of Mark Cavendish (of Great Britain and Team Deceuninck-Quick Step).

Going into today, Cavendish had a 38-point advantage, and with 20 points on the line, Matthews could get closer to that green jersey. That said, Cavendish is one stage win away from breaking Eddy Merck's record, so we doubt he'll be giving anyone a chance.

The three-week race is now live, with 184 riders in 23 teams, pedaling through 21 stages, including three summit finishes and two individual time trials. The strongest all-around rider will emerge victorious at the end.

The 2021 Tour de France is following its usual summer schedule, after last year's edition was delayed to the fall due to the coronavirus pandemic. That means it's been only nine months since Tadej Pogacar won his first Tour de France.

Favorites in this year's race include Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates), Primož Roglič (Jumbo-Visma) and Geraint Thomas (Ineos Grenadiers).

Giro d'Italia   klassement

Bochtige finish in Padua
