Wow! The Service at this Clinic is Fantastic ! Dr Daniel Van Der Merwe is Amazing and gives Great Care So Very Lucky to find this DR by SF

jeng6909

Have been a client of this clinic for years and feel very fortunate to have had such a great group of doctors to look after my family.

fuli0564

The service from reception ladies are very poor for the patient. I had doctor notes that to be send out to however they hold on it until I found out by myself in after 12 days. So I have to go there again, then they send out with missing page. I called again to ask send missing page, they were not happy with it. I have no idea is the right way to do for your patient?

kspa6034

Don’t bother booking an appointment because you never get in on time. Employees spend the beginning of their shift chatting instead of working so you are stuck getting in an hour after your appointment.

gibb5834

Great GPs at this location. Really take their time to understand what is going on. Fantastic with the children and never have to wait when have a booked appointment.

JamesB438612

Absolutely horrendious. Terrible. This clinc is so very much a very negative experience typical of the horrific people in Kwlowna whom are stuck up..snobby..rude..arrogant..and lie because they are lazy and dont wanna do their job. I have filed a complaint against this office personally. The brunetter receptionist is absolutely horrible..very rude..lied and deliberately said that they where not taking any more walk in patients after being called 10 minutes prior and said yes. She is a man hater.

  • International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis (ICVP) for vaccine recipients
  • Up-to-date information on vaccination requirements and recommendations

Washington, DC Travel Medicine

The Travelers' Clinic at The GW Medical Faculty Associates is dedicated to providing the highest quality and most complete travel medical service in the District of Columbia and the surrounding metropolitan area. We are a Certified Yellow Fever clinic authorized by the Public Health Service to validate certificates of vaccination for immunizations. We offer pre-travel services to adults and children (<18 years old). Note: children <18 years old must be accompanied by an adult to their appointment.

Travelers’ Clinic is self-pay. There is a consultation fee plus the cost of any vaccinations you receive at your appointment.

Our medical staff has up-to-date information on vaccination requirements and recommendations for most travel destinations. Immunization requirements can vary depending on the country and may be dictated by government regulation. You should obtain counseling by an MFA medical professional far in advance of your departure date whenever possible. Patients are seen by appointment only and are encouraged to make an appointment at least four weeks prior to traveling.

The vaccines we offer are listed below:

  • Yellow Fever
  • Hepatitis A
  • Hepatitis B
  • Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella
  • Japanese Encephalitis
  • Tick-Borne Encephalitis
  • Chikungunya

Prescriptions for the prevention of diseases such as malaria and altitude illness may also be provided.

The Travelers' Clinic clients have access to our infectious disease providers located in the same building. We are conveniently located one block from the Foggy Bottom Metro Station.

We strive to make sure you are equipped with all the information necessary to have a safe and healthy travel experience. We thank you in advance and we are looking forward to caring for you.

22nd & I Street

Park Travel Clinic offers pre-travel counseling, immunizations and prescriptions for travelers going abroad.

We are a CDC Certified Yellow Fever Vaccination Site. Our clinic is staffed by doctors and nurse practitioners who have years of experience helping adults and children travel safely to countries around the world.

Call us as soon as you finalize your travel plans to schedule your appointment. It is best to get vaccinated at least 2 weeks before you travel (sometimes sooner).

TRAVEL CLINIC

INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL & IMMUNIZATION CLINIC

(509) 336-7354

For an appointment, please call (509) 336-7354 and leave a message. The nurse will call you back to schedule an appointment. Monday-Thursday, 10:00am-3:00pm.

Before You Travel

It is important to note that all visits to the clinic are by appointment only. Travelers should contact the clinic at least 6-8 weeks before departure as some immunizations require a series of injections. It takes time for antibodies to rise to the most optimum level for immunity.

We also have two tropical medicine trained physicians who can consult with and assist you if you pick up an illness while visiting another country.

Referral from your physician is not necessary to receive a consultation. Travel Clinic consultations cost $50 per patient. We will gladly send immunization costs to insurance; however, other costs must be covered by the patient. Many insurance plans will pay for routine vaccinations.

Even if you are not traveling, it may be necessary to receive vaccinations for work or other reasons. These vaccines include rabies pre-exposure, Tuberculosis tests, or simply staying up to date with immunizations.

Anyone who experiences a fever and illness post-travel should let their physician know or contact the hospital for further instructions. Patients seeking care at their physician’s office or at the hospital should let their physician know that they have been out of the country.
